[ROM][SM-P900]Lollipop 5.0.2 FULL STOCK ROOT-Bussybox.[Multi Regions] - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Android Development

As it seems some users want a full stock lollipop with no modding, well here you go.
What is this rom:
Full stock with stagefright bug fix
Stock kernel
Knox removed
Root & busybox
ExternalSD read/write fix
Aroma for region selection.
Deodexed = Xposed framework (for samsung lollipop) will work on this rom
Installation:
You need to be on a custom recovery
You need to be on the Lollipop bootloader : Flash this from Odin in download mode (all the stuff you need is here)
Now install your rom using a custom recovery.

Civato...you are the man bro

Installed this ROM last night and spent the day setting my tablet up. I can honestly say that this is the smoothest and most responsive ROM I have tried for this tablet. Whatever you did in this ROM is perfect!!!

Many thanks for the rom mate @civato. You're always an help:good:
I will be trying this Lollipop for the first time on my note........
Cheers

Is there a way to install the bootloader from TWRP? I don't know when I'll be able to get my hands on a PC so I can't use Odin right now.

I've managed to get my hands on a PC so I can use ODIN now, but I do have a few questions:
1.) If I want or need to go back to a stock version will I need to replace the bootloader file that is being provided? If so where can I find the proper bootloader fIles?
2.) What are the correct steps to installing the new bootloader and ROM? I have TWRP installed and have made a full backup. Do I wipe everything first then shutdown or can I just boot into download mode from within TWRP then install the bootloader? After installing the bootloader do I reboot straight into recovery and then install the ROM? What options need to be selected in this version of ODIN?
3.) Out of curiosity where does the bootloader file that civato is providing come from? Is this something that was made especially for this modified ROM?
I'm sorry to ask all these noobie questions. I did search all over the place looking for answers, but most everything I found tended to be confusing and contradictory not to mention specific to other devices. I do appreciate any help that I can get. TIA

Nobody?

Bootloader is usually pulled from stock .tar file or any mod who made it for specific use, to go back to stock just flash stock .tar with odin it should overwrite existing bootloader as far as i know.

Bootloader is extracted from the original samsung firmware, you can only install a bootloader using Odin.

I kinda figured that but seeing this is a stock untouched deodexed rom it would defeat the purpose for those who want to remain as stock as possible but have option to install xposed with deodexed stock rom.

Can someone give a link or version of xposed that works. I tried mutiple versions from arter thread but xposed app says version not compitable. Any help?

I'm on a p900 I was on an official 5.02 stock however, I rooted it and now got superuser working. Now do I still need to install the bootloader?. Plus if I want to get back to stock how would I remove the bootloader?

No, the bootloader warning was for people who are on Kitkat wanting to move to lollipop.
In your case to go back to unrooted you can either go into the supersu app and select full unroot or better yet connect the tablet to a pc running kies and do a full factory reset.

You shouldn't be flashing kernels seeing as you don't have a clue what you're doing. If something were to go wrong you would be screwed. You don't even know where to look for the kenerls. All T-Mobile kernels are in the T-Mobile original development forum. You can flash any T-mobile/i9505 ROM as long as you flash a T-Mobile kernel(which can be located in the Original Development forum). You were lucky enough to be given step by step guide but that won't teach you anything and you won't learn that way. All you know is that you need a T-mobile kernel to flash after flashing a i9505 ROM, but you don't know why. I would suggest learning why so you don't run into future problems.

I rooted using this method while still on 4.1.2 and it worked flawlessly.
I then paid for and installed SuperSU Pro and activated "Survival Mode"
Lastly, after the OTA update was COMPLETELY finished, I followed this simple procedure to get root back again.
SuperSU disables Knox for you on 4.3 which is also nice. I should have qualified here that I am COMPLETELY stock other than root. I have not "frozen" any apps., deleted any Samsung provided files, etc. and I have stock bootloader and stock recovery. This will likely NOT work if you have done any of those things.
Is there a flashable version of this? If not, can somebody make one? Thanks.
I'm running a custom rom and rollouts/updates from vendors freak me out because I don't trust not one of them. Knowing AT&T they have thrown in some bit of encryption that locks the bootloader. I understand this might not be the case this time but I do know none of them can be trusted.
Now if you excuse me, I'm 1/2 done with 1984 the book and my tin foil hat is making me itch.
Guys I need help I am stuck, I am using unlock att with tmobile, I check software update but it days interrupted, and I even tried with kies but it's not connecting at all, I tried 2 pcs.... Any help... What to do to update it... Please

I have a few questions for you and/or those more in the know:
If I were to do this same thing, would I be able to flash a custom recovery (like TWRP) and/or flash custom ROM's/Kernels like I can already do now? One of my main concerns is that the stock kernel doesn't support Boeffla Sound, and that really makes for better audio on this device...might as well take full advantage of that Wolfson DAC...
I have to admit, it would be nice to be able to use pure AT&T stock, but rooted, as a base...this is why I loved the old CleanROM AT&T SE so much...
TIA for any guidance you can give on this.
Side note: after ODIN'ing back to 4.1.2 MA4, it says I have a 741MB update I can take....I'm sure that's this 4.3 update...Culpeper, VA here.

I did the same as marchusdavis but it resulted in a total disaster. After I downloaded the OTA update from AT&T I restarted my phone and it installed through CWM-Touch. At the end it asked if I wanted to ensure root was maintained and of course I said "yes" there (as well as through my SuperSU Pro Survival Mode). When it booted, my WiFi no longer works AND I lost root.
If anyway has any advice on how to get to a stock 4.3 from here please let me know!
Ugh, having trouble updating atm.
Goes up to 30%, then my phone reboots and says
"The update was interrupted" or something like that
On stock 4.1.2 rooted with stock recovery if anyone can help.

I don't believe so, as I am completely stock, bootloader and all. If you want to install other ROMs, you'd need to use a different method I believe. Likely downloading this update either via Kies or something else, and use ODIN to do everything. If you search around a bit on XDA, you'll probably find someone who has done it successfully and posted how. While I like custom ROMs, I have not had a need to use one yet on this device. However, if Samsung doesn't eventually give us Air Command, that might be enough to make me try it!
Is it possible to get the official update from the leak or do I have to downgrade to 4.1.2? I tried updating from the leak but it said it's the latest version.

I packaged up the newest system version for the xt1063 as a flashable zip.
You can flash it using TWRP.
this flashes the newest system and boot image:
22.21.28-titan_retuglb.zip //down
flash via custom recovery
for completeness the corresponding modem and recovery for this system version.
(This doesnt add any functionality, but allows you to install future ota's)
xt1063-22.21.28-modem.zip flash via custom recovery
xt1063-22.21.28-recovery.img flash via fastboot
old downloads

Edit:
Seems like the files are gone from mega.
I have kind of moved on from this project and i dont have backups.
But if anyone has the files still please send them to me, so my work is not lost.

You need TWRP to flash this zip Lol, so once you flash TWRP, you can make a backup in TWRP before flashing this zip. If flashing the zip doesn't work then you can restore your backup using TWRP.

Not sure what you mean by "full working root method". I used Super SU-ver2.37.zip, installed it from TWRP and I have full root. All of my root apps work fine and I have root explorer access from ES File Manager. Can't get any fuller access than that.

Is your boot loader unlocked? Can't flash a custom ROM until it is. Not sure if that is possible from Lollipop. You may have to downgrade to Kit-Kat, unlock the boot loader, flash TWRP then use this zip to install the latest Lollipop.
I was finally able to flash TWRP recovery. Flashing the ROM now. how long is it supposed to take? It's been close to 10 mins and still flashing.
Edit:
Finally flashed!! Thanks for all the help guys!

[D85120G] Stock ONLY update.zip from D85120E

Mainly posting this here for any devs that want it.
I have removed the check for stock recovery as well as added a build fingerprint check for TWRP to allow this update to take without Stock recovery.
This is the update.zip that T-Mobile pushed out starting today (10/05/15). If you are not on D85120E stock (might work with root, I have not checked) do not flash this as it should fail but it's your choice to risk it.

I would not attempt to flash this over any custom rom. With stock it is as simple as flashing in twrp. However as I said I did not test with root on 20e

How did you test it than. Coming from 20e without root? How does one flash it without root.... I'm guessing this is a dumb question however

So, how long should it take to boot after flashing this? My phone is stuck on the white T-Mobile boot screen. I think its been sitting there for at least 15 minutes.
EDIT: I gave up waiting. I reflashed the stock rom over this and now I'm waiting though the optimizing process. Why didn't I make a backup first??
EDIT2: I redownloaded it, made a backup and tried to flash it again. This time we're good. Optimizing apps as we speak.
Does anybody know if this fixes the "Settings has stopped" error when going to the tethering menu in Settings?
So I need some clarification please and have a couple of questions. I have Tmo G3 (D851) running stock 20e, but it is rooted. I also have TWRP. Can I just flash this update.zip using TWRP and all will be fine or not? I of course will do a full backup before I start, but wonder about data. Has anyone learned whether this works on rooted devices yet? I think I am already Stagefright protected because I run Textra for SMS and MMS (I do NOT run stock messaging), but should I upgrade to this? I look forward to some expert opinions. Thanks to all.

I had unrooted (through supersu script) in order to setup Android pay. I would recommend you do the same, simply because this has the root script at the end of it anyhow...
So, unroot (setup Android Pay if you care to), flash, reroot...move on with life :good:

Did all your data stay intact? After the update I assume you wiped cache and Dalvik? Thanks for your answers.

No wipes necessary ('dirty flash'). Data stays intact. It will optimize all your apps on initial boot though.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I will do a full TWRP backup and move forward. Thanks again
Running rooted stock 5.0.1 20E. I've disabled supersu and booted back into TWRP to flash and I'm getting this error when I try to flash the zip:
"Package expects build fingerprint of lge/g3_tmo_us/g3:5.0.1/LRX21Y/151451134d07b:user/release-keys or lge/g3_tmo_us/g3:5.0.1/LRX21Y/15227151285fc:user/release-keys; this device has LG/omni-d851/d851:4.4.4/KTU84P/2:eng/test-keys."
Not familiar enough with the file system to know exactly what that is, but I'm guessing some file on my device is reporting I'm still on 4.4.4? Could that be a kernel issue? I did at one point have a custom kernel, but I went back to stock after that and re-rooted? Just hoping to avoid a full wipe and redo...

Mi 5 ROM 7.2.4.0 Global Multi LEAK [Link+Tuto]

This is for advanced user only.
Root not included but Google services yes. This is a stock ROM, with 50 langages included.
If you don't know what are adb command, root, TWRP, don't follow this guide.
Don't blame me if you brick your phone, kill your cat or burn your house.
For UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER ONLY
To install the rom, extact the system.img and boot.img from the rar/zip in the same folder than adb.exe and fastboot.exe.
Then, reboot your phone in fastboot mode with volume down+power.
Plug in to your PC, open and cmd prompt (maintain left shift on the keyboard, right click in the adb/img folder with the mouse and select open cmd prompt here) and write :
fastboot flash system system.img
Click to collapse
Wait 15min.....then:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Click to collapse
Flash TWRP with fastboot....
(fastboot flash recovery recoveryfilename.img)
Make a data/cache wipe in TWRP recovery
When it's done, press power for ~10sec to reboot your phone.
Wait.....(15-30min)
Set up the phone in English, and don't set your Google account immediately.
Once the setup wizard is done,
Do whatever you want.
You can also try to flash the ROM with MiFlash. I didn't tried but it should work, and will be more easier for new users.
If you wanna install root :
Flash SuperSU (last version) in TWRP.
If you can't access your sdcard, wipe the internal storage (sdcard), reboot to TWRP and wipe it again. Then, reboot... Wait... Setup your phone again. Reboot to TWRP and flash SuperSU.
Your phone got now decrypted data partition to allow TWRP flashing files.

Just a heads up if this ROM pack has Mi App Store in it it can't be posted on the site/in the forums.

No Mi app store in this rom, however, there's some nasty bloatware on it. I don't know which one, but after using it for some time, when the screen idle for a long time (I updated a game data), there's this huge fullscreen popup with ads on it.

Most of the bloatware on these ROMs can be removed. Were you able to uninstall them?
Sent from my MI 5 using XDA-Developers mobile app
There is nothing more than a official dev ROM.
I don't have any pop-up after a long idle time.
Not sure it came from system app, check your installed app please.
If you suspect something running in the background, just delete it from system/app manually or with titanium backup.
unfortunately, I haven't unlocked my bootloader so I don't have root. The rom already loaded on my phone when I bought it. Don't know if the bloatware are from the rom or someone else installed it into phone.
:-/, good luck guy. Since I don't have this problem with this ROM, I suppose someone added a bloatware on your phone before selling it.
You can install the dev ROM by the official way, your phone will be in English but you will got a clean install with root.
This is NO official Xiaomi ROM, it is a Custom-ROM.

People should stop advising this as it's not true. You need an unlocked bootloader or already obtained permission in order to get root.
If you haven't yet, you get a message in the root section of the security app telling you you need to unlock the bootloader.

If it comes with bloatware and needs TWRP then this looks like a scam to me. And not like an official firmware
Specially, the link to the dropbox is fishy! If the "official-global firmware" exists it's on the bigota sever of Xiaomi and all you need is the direct link, it's well hidden, but possible to find with a direct link.

This is a leak of the ROM who was used for the MWC 2016.
Remember photos and videos of the event, the mi5 was multilingual. This is why the ROM is old and can't be found on miui.com...v 7.2.4.0

No bloatware at all on the ROM. Try and you will see. This guy have the ROM preinstalled by the seller, who probably putted some crap inside.
By the way, read the tutorial again. I said you can flash it with MiFlash too like any official ROM.

As said before! If it is leaked it's on bigota and accessible by the filename.
Until you can provide the link to the official XIaomi server, at least I won't risk it.
A custom ROM from an unknown source without any background information, and very little benefit isn't worth it.

It's not about being paranoid!
This could also be a custom ROM from one of the Chinese scam resellers or worse.
And it's simple if it's official, it's on bigota.d.miui.com

The only problem I see with your topic is the official part.
You can only assume it is official, but you have no proof, no official link to the location of the file on bigota. So you do not know if it's official, knowledge you could prove. Where "I believe in bla..." doesn't require a proof.
Ok i will change the topic name.
So.
I was rdy to give it a try.
It's a little de-bloated not much, but it helps to delete not 2000 Chinese Apps ( i am German)
The Version on this Shows me 7.2.4.0.0, why?
Maybe that we don't get any ota notifications or something like that?
So far it's the smoothest Rom, compared to latest Dev ( Lags for me whyever) , also to 7.2.8.
Gplay Apps are running much smoother then a manual install, don't find any background Apps which calling home or smth.
Also the battery life is for me on that awesome.
Dev -> Max 6 1/2 h SOT
7.2.8 -> Max 6 h SOT
This beauty -> 7 3/4 h SOT
Thanks for this work.
