When it will be available .. And at what cost?

Shipping of the first units should start around the middle of November - at least according to one reseller.
Quite a shame I went for the Vi10 Pro 64GB Z3736F, when this is coming around in a month (from China to Europe in 2 months with shipping?) for a bit extra price.
Hopefully I'll be able to swap it without any harm to my wallet, haha

There is a new vi10 ultimate with that chip you can check it om banggod

You can look here: http://www.pompmall.com/chuwi-hi10.html

Impossible specs, cherry trail z8300 processor will not take 4gb ram ? if it was the cherry trail z8500 processor then it will take 4gb ram,so at the moment the specs are very unreal, also i thought this tablet was a 10.6 inch screen,it's down as a 10.1 ?

The price will be around $200. Pretty good for what you get if you ask me. Don't be fooled by these overpriced offers at Aliexpress. Banggood is a legit site and listed it at price below $190! And they marked the battery as a real 6800mah, not 8000mah. I 100% trust them rather than these sellers on Aliexpress having questinable reputation.

Could I technically Android and create a dual boot of windows/Linux mint on this?

I think that the real question, is wether the tablet has the z8300 or the z8500.
Because, as it has allready been said, the z8300 does not support 4gb ram
Anyone has any knowledge on that fact?

x8300 only allows for 2GB RAM so the CPU or the amount of RAM is incorrect?

Hello, dear sir
Thank you for your support to Geekbuying.
Yes, it's really with z8300 processor and supports 4gb ram, we confirmed it with the manufacture.
Hope our answers are helpful for you.
Best Regards!

Ugh I kinda want one of these but fail to see real world applicable use when I have a One plus One and a laptop already :/ ....

I cant post urls.
So search for "techtablets intel z8300 4g".
"
Many of the new Cherry Trail Tablets due to be released soon like the Chuwi Hi10 have Atom X5 Z8300’s in them, but with 4GB of Ram. I originally thought this must have been a typo, or it was the Z8500, as it supports up to 8GB of Ram. Well it seems the X5 Z8300 can indeed support 4GB of Ram, although Intel’s Ark claims it’s limited to 2GB & single channel.
"
see pictures of live operation system screenshots with 4GB.
The sellers "4GB" claims seem to be legit.

Eagerly awaiting the release of this to make my decision on getting one or going with the Teclast X98 Pro.

I'm just worried about the battery. Some people say 8000mAh and others say 6500mAh. Battery life won't be good if it's only 6500mAh.

I'm not an expert, but I did see that it has an 8000mAh battery rated at 6500mAh. Not sure what that means, but it sounds less than stellar for battery life.

Well I ordered on on black Friday and they said they will be in stock on December 4-5 and it ships via Netherland post (if you chose free shipping) so there will probably not be high (if at all) customs fees.

Update:
After some time of using it, so far the screen flickering is the issue most people having.
Some other issues such as black screen after sleep (it's half wake, but not showing login menu), and screen will off randomly while using bluetooth keyboard.

Old news: http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/Sna...bile-CPU-war-beyond-1GHz-article-a_12546.html
So, where is it? Can't be that it hasn't been leaked if the release is so soon.
I spotted this a few days ago as well... I am not sure what to make of it as the info for it is rather scarce and tbh anyone can make a spreadsheet like that... and say it is an official "leaked" document from HTC...
I remain skeptic on this issue. If anyone can confirm this to be true, I will personally make an article for the front page for it.
4.5 inches? I'm not too sure if I would go for something that big.
3.8", yes. But don't people find 4.3" and up to be a little bit too big? Its like a mini-tablet.
Also, I was reading that article on the CPUs. Will you need a graphics chip in your phone in order to play high-quality 3D games or will a 1.2 ghz core 2 duo be able to handle that?
My plan expires this winter, so I am looking almost frantically for the perfect phone with dual cores and awesome performance and all that . (best time for my plan to expire)
4.3 is fine. Not sure about "and up". 3.5 is too small.

The bigger the better - I think I can go as high as 5". I've actually been looking at tablets myself. Right now I'm trying it all on for size: I have a travel laptop, an alienware laptop (it's not what I would call airplane portable, but I can take my desktop with me if I want to, and I do want to ), an iPad, and my phone.
Ultimately, I'd like it to be the phone and the mongo-laptop - so a bigger screen would be better. There are just some things / situations that lend themselves better to each of the 4 devices as they are right now.
As for the GPU - it's already in the 1.2 dual core chips (they are a System On a Chip - SOC). And yes, I think it's needed for the best 3D rendering but I'm not an expert
I'd like to have it.. only if..
Hmm.. spotted this in Google when looking for Win Phone 7 info.
Definitely, the spec is too good to be true.
One thing is that *no* GPS was mentioned in any of the posts..
But if I have to choose, I'd like to have GPS over HDMI..
Also, it seems Win Phone 7 still do not include multi-language input..
That means if I buy this phone, I'll have to search the Google again for JPN+Korean+Chinese input again, not to mention that it is highly possible to hard-reset the mobile for million times
I believe that 1800 mAh is not enough. HD3 will need to charge two times daily.

Worse still - news yesterday was that even though Qualcom is shipping the 1.5 GHz dual core chips later this year, they wont make it into devices until mid to late next year. So, you can pretty much bet that the HD7 will not be 1.5GHz, if it is released this year.

For those of us with HD2s, there is little motivation to move to a WP7 then. The 1.5ghz units will probably sport a better version of WP7 anyways.

do you have any info if this is due to the delay of ics, from februari to end of march or even later?
Not impressed with amazon but I guess its an Archos issue rather than Amazon so I got to wait till April 10th now. It better be worth it lol

Onda v919 Air 3G Dual Boot 9.7" 2048x1536 px - Z3736F - 3G - Android/Windows

I've just received my Onda V919 Air 3G, only the 32GB version is in stock at the time of writing this which I got from Geek Buying here: Mod edit: link removed (commercial advertisement not allowed) There seems to be supply issues as the system was delayed a few times by Onda and the 64GB model is still about 2 weeks off from shipping out.
I think it's a promising looking system that could do with some custom roms and XDA Love The OS switch button seems to just reboot the tablet in the OS, it's not really a non reboot on the fly OS switch like Onda claim it is! It's only a bit faster than the Teclast OS dual boot switch due to not having the dual boot menu to go through. However if you want to boot to Android and you shutdown in Windows, you have to load Windows then do the switch, no direct menu on boot to jump to Android, this is slower than Teclast's approach!
Edit: The latest bios update adds a dual boot start up selector menu if you hold volume up on boot.
First impressions:
So far my initial impressions are generally good, the system is more of an iPad Air clone than the X98 Air 3G is in terms of its looks. I''ll be putting the tablet through it's paces so far I can report that:
Pros:
Nice build quality, better than my X98 Air 3G (Feels more solid)
Captive home button for Android and Windows start button is a nice addition.
Light rom for a Chinese tablet.
Fast Hynix 32GB eMMC drive - 160mbs read and 80 write)
Cons:
Slightly larger gap (0.1-0.2mm?) between the screen and touch panel Vs the Teclast X98 Air 3G
No HDMI output
Some connectivity issues with my home Wireless N router, a few limited connections in Windows.
Battery life a good 1-2 hours less than the Teclast X98 Air 3G depending on use.
You have to remove the plastic top cover when removing sd cards and your Wifi and 3G aerial is there, so you will loose signal!

No Gps and no hdmi out. I'm having issues with Windows and a limited connection on Wifi or it disconnecting, Android however runs fine. Play Store works out of the box and the rom is nice and responsive.
After Windows updates I ran out of disk space for some reason, I'm doing a factory reset. I had around 8GB free to start with.

General [CLOSED] Warning! Don't buy the Rog Phone 6D Ultimate (dimensity 9000+)

Ok guys this is serious.
Don't order the Rog Phone 6D which will release 09.19.22!!!!
It doesn't make any sense.
Any other brand will include the dimensity 9000+ only in the vanilla edition
See this comparison of:
Xiaomi 12S Pro (sd8+ gen1) VS 12 Pro (d9000+)
for instance !!!!!
The sd8 + gen1 clearly wins in this comparison!! the only benefit of the d9000 seems to be less heat.
They will try to sell the dimensity edition for the price of the pro while having less costs producing the phone.
This time around dimensity only overclocked the soc while Qualcomm went from 5 to 4 nm aswell. I know reviews like those of "golden reviewer" too where the dimensity chips were more efficient. But this time they actually loose in the bechmarks by a big margin.
there is a reason why Xiaomi used the 9000+ in the vanilla edition (starts at 570$) and the 8+ gen1 in the S pro edition.(starts at 670$)
We ain't fools Asus...
Now you could say: "well that's a Xiaomi device, you can't compare that".
DO YOU RATHER BELIEVE SOME BENCHMARK SCREENSHOTS OF THE ROG 6D?
OR RATHER BELIEVE THE FACT THAT THEY PUT A BETTER SOC BECAUSE OF 3% HIGHER PEAK PERFORMANCE??!!
If the Rog 6D really was better than the rog 6/6 pro.
They would have waited for global shipping of the rog6 pro to start before teasing the rog 6 D
(rog6 pro global shipping starts 01.09)
There is a reason why Dimensity SOCs are a China exclusive most of the time! So they can run the lobby in europ. But we ain't fools.
Why they do this?
They want you to cancel the peorder of the rog 6 pro because the sd8+ gen1 is more expensive. (Once the ROG 6 D is released rog 6 & Pro will run out of stock soon).
This way they want to hold you longer on the wait list by making it look like an opportunity for an even better device. But it's a trap. Once everybody knows it is the vanilla edition, not only are you gonna wait longer for the worse device. It will also be a disappointment. Your performance will be worse for the same money like an exynos user. Also the rog 6/6pro will be no longer available & they will have gifted less cooling fans too as many customers will try to get the previous models later, after seeing comparisonsof the d model. You will turn into a mediatek fanboy hoping for updates and slowly fade away in disappointment.
I've pre-ordered the ROG 6 pro btw. not gonna cancel it.
Dont forget Media <Moderator Edit> being closed source and no one in this community will ever fix their bugfest.

Sometimes I wonder why people write so much <Moderator Edit> these days and post sources that literally go against what they say.
The snapdragon 8+ 1 clearly lost to the dimensity. Almost everything was equal except for 2 things which dimensity won, not by a little, but by quite a large margin.
1.) Camera performance was significanly better, the detail was much better on the dimensity and even the dynamic range was also notably better, this comes to no real surprise since the ISP on the mediatek is roughly 3x as fast as the one found in the qualcom variant.
2.) On Gaming performance the dimensity won by quite a large margin, as stated by your own source, there are some heavy drops on qualcomm based phones, which really isnt anything new, this doesnt exist on the dimensity, it delivers way more fluid and reliable gaming experience, this is also the reason why we see more and more devices starting to use the new mediatek chips.
The real reason why they want to switch to mediatek seems to me that they are sick and tired of their power IC's and SOC's from qualcom blowing up or causing other type of issues. Many who own the Rog2,Rog5, Rog5s and soon QC Rog6 users know exacly what I'm talking about.
@Einheit-101
Neither is qualcomm. While they do have some things that are open source, their most important and interesting things are closed source. The only reason the things we have from QC are open source is because QC has to adhere to certain laws since they are based in the US, which forces them to open source their GPL based stuff, anything that isnt, you aint gettin anything. As far as I'm concerned, both have the same <Moderator Edit> attitude, QC however does market it as "they choose to open source" their things, trying to market themselves at the "good guys", much like apple and microsoft do despite their clearly anti consumer stance.
Regardless if youre an QC <Moderator Edit> or a mediatek <Moderator Edit>, ordering a Rog6 is completely <Moderator Edit> to begin with. Nobody should preorder a Rog6, period, we all know the Rog6S will likely be pushed out in a couple of months with a far superior gen2 / whatever <Moderator Edit> mediatek will push out and you have spent big bucks on an already outdated phone.

i prefer higher texture quality over high fps and battery life. That's just me.

I prefer facts <Moderator Edit>.
You have yet to prove your <Moderator Edit> claim that mediatek chips render lower texture resolutions in games.

The Dimensity 9000 wins in CPU performance, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 leads in GPU. It's a different ballgame when power consumption is considered, though, as the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 looks to be more efficient across the board.
Source
(this is a gaming phone, so you tell me what's the priority here)
also the new d9000+ has only overclocked the cpu while the snapdragon 8+ gen 1 uses 4nm instead of 5nn now.
And we didn't even mention that most games are optimized for snapdragon gpus anyways.

I cant help but facepalm.
Then why does dimensity run far better in games? Did you watch your own source?

surprisingly, there is a few big fluctuations in 12S pro (qualcomm), it is higher peak but with few big drops but the performance of the xiaomi 12 pro dimensity is much more stable

The dimensity IS the better gaming chip, <Moderator Edit> the dimensity is better.

No it isn't. It uses lower resolutions watch the reviews of golden reviewer on YouTube. It's not bad but the snapdragon is slightly better in terms of gpu performance. I agree the dimensity is more efficient. But the gap is much smaller now since snapdragon uses 4nm. The optimizations for snapdragon across Playstore apps/games are way more important to me. I won't trade that against slightly more cpu power and slightly more efficiency. it's about 3% m8 that's not much.

I'd like you to source your claim, instead of mentioning a random youtuber name expecting us to search for it. Also the dimensity is more optimized which the reviewer you sourced showcased. It's even the Gen8+ vs 9000+ <Moderator Edit>

this screenshot shows all the facts. Now you can call this "not reliable" but that's all we can see right now. And this isn't just a benchmark screenshot, it's the reality. Same phone, different chips. There you see the truth.
What's that lift-up grey flap for on the 6D Ultimate (instead of "Dare to play" light)?
Some extra connectivity port/ a difference in hardware compared to ROG phone 6 Pro?
<Moderator Edit>
@elmor0 Good question, I'll ask

Why don't you just admit defeat? You clearly contradicted yourself, made baseless claims and cannot source any of your claims. You're making a giant fool out of yourself.

The fact that Xiaomi is selling the same device with dimensity 9000+ 100$ cheaper and the fact that it scores 100k less on AnTuTu compared to the snapdragon version is enough source for evidence to me that the snapdragon rog phone 6 is the better choice. <Moderator Edit>

i bet my but that antutu of the rog phone 6d is fake. I've seen that already. As long i don't see it on YouTube i won't believe any Screenshots

I need my android apps without a notch or a punchhole, with the highest possible refreshrate, with a headphone jack, with a good translated os & the most compatible soc. Rog 6 pro comes with all of that. I even produce music on my android and just did 1200€ with a HipHop beat on Spotify. (fl mobile) I'm a different breed. computers won't cut it for me. I'm on the next lvl. I produce on oc too. but the workflow on Android is crazy fast. got already 100 beats running on all stores bro.
