Cool. Downloading now. Any other observations?

I should have screencapped the update screen. There were a couple other minor things.

Seemed to solve the wireless charging issues. Was able to use mine yesterday for a half hour to top off. Had no problems overnight, woke up to a full charge

Completely has my battery life and charge times all wonky. I'm literally losing battery as I charge. I'm not using any resource intensive applications or doing anything out of the ordinary. My battery dies much faster than before the update (subjective and just a feel) and despite testing on multiple outlets in multiple places, I no longer have the ability to 'fast charge'... I gave it it time and power cycles to settle... Rolling back NOW...
Sent from my SM-G928P using XDA Free mobile app

As far as i know you cannot go back. You can try a factory reset.
Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk

Tried that and it automatically updates during the setup process...
Sent from my SM-G928P using XDA Free mobile app

For me, it had no impact except saying "fast charging" on the lock screen vs just charging.
But my phone does drain faster over night a tad bit more often.

is there a download for this new firmware because right now im bricked and cant go back to the earlier firmware but i was able to root without recovery though

Do you still have Fast Charging abilities?

Yes that is working fine. But I did get an oddity related to charging or usb port. Phone went nuts beeping and saying dock connected over and over. When it stopped it would not fastcharge, rebooted and all was fine.

Apparently this was supposed to work, but no one with the AOI6 update has confirmed yet.

Battery draining fast

My T-Mobile note 2 battery is draining extremely fast its NOT rooted. So I don't understand why isn't draining so fast someone please help. And if anyone is having this same problem how did you fix it without getting a replacement device.

See if anything in the Better Battery Stats thread will help you.

That will at least allow you to see what's doing it.
I will thanks

Check the battery stats for "gpsd". Mine started draining after updating to 4.1.2. It appears (for me at least) that the Samsung "find-your-phone-if someone-steels-it" was behaving badly.
If this is the case for you. Switch the service/function of and notify Samsung.
How many hours do you get when your battery is draining fast?
My stock phone started to drain fast as well. Within 6 hours unplugged I see myself having only 60 percent remaining with barely an hour screen on time. I tried to narrow it down to a rogue app but it seems the OTA was more plausable and easier to blame lol
Now back to using Jedi again.

It's called DIVE and does more than just recover lost phones, it is a management suite, not that I've spent a lot of time on it so far.

G Pro loosing Data every 2 days

My G Pro looses data every two days or so. Wither im on wifi or 4g. I have to do a quick airplane mode on and off to get it back to work. The G Pro still shows the data as being there but dont work. Meaning it shows the 4g icon or wifi icon. WHat could cause this? I dont notice it all the time and I loose emails and stuff until I toggle the airplane mode.

Yes in rooted. Root Explorer. Titaniam back up. That's it for rooted apps. It's were ever.

Yes all of the att bloatware. I removed some with root Explorer as well.
Did you just disable them or removed them completely? I'm wondering if there might have been something crucial that was removed. Wish we had a way to return to stock.

Try returning your phone to stock as much as possible by undoing what you did. Even do a factory reset and use the phone without changing anything.

i have 4 full bars of lte where i live. my htc one got maybe 1 or 2 bars. lg radios are kick ass.
k an update i ended up returning my phone and getting the Samsung s4. reason being i found out the lg dose not have a very good radio for rural areas. i found that it only has like two freq. for 3g and 2 for 2g. maybe with a rooted phone you can change out the radio from another phone or something. But an un-rooted phone it sucks. I really liked the phone too because nice big screeen and every thing.
Oh and the s4 blew the lg out of the water as far as signal and everything. I had an htc inspire before and had to mod my antenna in order to make phone calls from my basement. i was able to do the same with the s4 with out doing any thing too it.
me 2
I haven't narrowed it down to an exact interval of time but I've seen this a number of times as well. I half wondered if it was because of the WiFi tethering changes I made as it was not happening prior to that change. It's only been the last few days...

[Q] Is it possible to revert back to 4.3?

This KitKat update is complete crap, it's ruined a number of things on my device and added NOTHING. A week ago I was 100% satisfied with my Note 3, I could keep it forever on 4.3. Is it possible to go back? I'm stock, not-rooted.
If you took the ota, then no.

I took it OTA, it gave me no choice. I kept postponing the installation and then it eventually forced me to reboot my phone and there was nothing I could do to stop it.

I've noticed a lot of different things with the processor. After on for a little while randomly some of the CPUs will activate did not sleep, normally cpu0 stays on all the time but cpu1-3 turn off to save battery, and at the same time the minimum frequency would get stuck at 1.95... When you reboot everything would reset back to the minimum of 300 mhz and the CPUs would sleep as normal

Really glad I stayed on 4.3 after hearing a lot of these horror stories mentioned in several threads. I had no intention of taking the OTA or Odin anyways just because I read a couple weeks before on a site that kitkat 4.4.2 was messing with how it handles the external sdcard and apps.
There's mixed reports of good/bad battery life on 4.4.2 and if the new bootloader really makes a difference yet, all I can say to those that did jump the gun or didn't know any better is things will get better as devs iron out the bugs and create custom kernels/roms to help you guys out. Does it suck waiting for all this.. hell yes it does but we have all been there before and just know you are in the right place here at XDA because these devs and members are here to help us all out thru hard times.

[Q] Vibration suddenly doesn't work

Yesterday I noticed my Haptic feedback wasn't working. I tried ticking every setting and seeing if I could find what turned it off. Doesn't work when I receive a text, a call, or even when the alarm goes off. So I downloaded a vibrator app and it doesn't work. Suggestions? Halp?

I got my device from an At&t authorized seller about a month or so ago. The feedback occasionally does come back for a few seconds before dying off again. Very odd. I haven't tried flashing a new rom but I did a factory reset yielding no results.

LOL just that unrooting seems like a bit of a tedious process. And I don't really have access to a windows pc, since the program is a windows one. Oh well, I'm just wondering if this is a common occurrence amongst other M8 owners or just happenstance.
Well. You can just take it to the warranty department. My only thing I think they would trip about is the red text screen. I'm gonna s off and fix that tomorrow.

My M8 hasn't had this issue...
However, the LG G2 I had a few months back did. It worked great one day, and had no vibration the next.
I wonder if smartphone companies are just buying cheap vibration motors nowadays to save cost, and the cheap motors blow out easy or defect often.

Note 3 won't charge unless rebooted.

Since last week my Note 3 won't charge unless I reboot it with the charger on. I brought a new charge port, switched roms, went back to stock and nothing. Any idea what it could be? Thanks in advance.

I had similar problem with an SM-N900V which I documented somewhere in one of the SM-N900V forums. I did not discover your trick to make it work so I swapped the battery with my newer SM-N900T. The battery fully charged in that device and has been normal ever since in both devices. The problem was caused by getting wet and I think the different device reset something in the battery.
Frank
I was thinking about the battery. Brought a new one online to see if that would do something as soon as it arrives. Thanks for the information. Will give it a try with a friend.

After re-reading this thread I recall that I have a similar problem with my Note (SGH-I717). This is probably not your problem but I'll describe it just to add information to this thread.
If the Note (SGH-I717) is off and I plug in power it turns on but does not charge. The solution is to turn on the device and wait until the first graphic image has passed before plugging in external power.

You flashed a kernel that was either bad download or did not flash right. You need to odin back to stock not flash a stock rom. Have to odin back to clear all the wacky stuff.
