Selling padfone station - Buying, Selling, & Funding

I'm selling the pad part of the padfone. It is however missing the battery, although it has the connector inside so you can have that to play with as well as possibly even modifying it. Link is here http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=131659728877&alt=web so feel free to take a look! :3

I would get it if it includes an extended battery built in...
from what i was reading, it will work with the Qi charging system... lots of info if you google. Bu take that with a grain of salt, who knows...
Looks like HTCPedia has it listed on their site, with a picture here... Looks like it wont' fit under ANY case, with the possible exception of the jelly-style cases that can stretch a bit...
No info on what it's compatible with though, and at 40$, it's a bit steep for me...
The extended battery conflict doesnt bother me much, the car dock is my main complaint to it...hopefully someone will come out with a slim version if possible
Verizon said it will work on the powermat

Dualshock Phone Mount

Hello all.
I love the ability to play games with a controller on my phone but really hate that I have to hold my phone or put it on a table. So I found a metal plate, measured the controller and made this mount for my phone and controller.
It is very solid and works well. With some paint and an hour of work it will look a little more pro
Happy "modding" your own controller kit
Youtube link below and some photos

That is a good idea.
Great job.
I like to see when done and painted.
What phone do you have?

I have a SGSII. The good thing is that you only have to make the mount once and whenever you buy a new phone you just change the cover.
I watched you're video. I was hoping to see a tutorial of you actually making it.
I have a question, How did you attached the metal with the plastic???

The thread and thus the pictures above is about a year old and I have since replaced my SGS2 with a SGS3.
The design makes it easy to replace the cover on the mount to fit a Note (or any other device).
Pictures with the SGS3 can be seen here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29395051&postcount=197
My mount is my very own private fun-project and thus not for sale and I do not plan to mass produce it, but a new commercial mount have come up, the Gameklip:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1760595
It cost 15 $ + shipping. The design is rather similar to the one I made (tho a lot more beatyful ). Only disadvantage is that this mount is not universal, and thus do not fit all phones.

Whatever happened to exchangeable phone covers?

Remember back in the day when we used to exchange covers on our phone every time we felt like it? I remember when I had my Nokia 3310 and my 3650, I used to buy a new cover every month just cause it got boring. Now with the new phones, its a pain in the ass, and you void your warranty, and you can never find any housings with different colours. Bring back exchangeable phone covers please!!!!
I guess the snap on cases are the new wave of things.

Reminds me of my sidekick days... Great times
Who said I used TapaTalk ?!?
One of my favourite old school phones i had was an Ericsson you could change the colour of the plastic at the base of the aerial.

Nokia with glowing battery and case. Those were the days.
I had an old Nokia with a clear case. The phone had enough LED's in it that I could and did use it as a flashlight at times. I think I still have that phone somewhere.

Ah yes, the epilepsy inducing phones. Funny that they still had great battery life.

I was just online shopping for a replacement battery door *just* so I could get it in a different color.
I might just paint it like people custom paint their Xbox controllers.

i think it is because manufacturers nowadays dislike the ability to self-fix phones and see the secrets. Many are also chasing the iPhone formula. Another reason is that non-removable could make the phone thinner. This is basically the selling points of many phones.

Carrying case with retractable lanyard?

I use my phone for a golf GPS. When I walk I am thinking it could be nice to have my phone attached to a retractable cord that is attached to my golf bag so that I can easily access it without fearing I would lose it. Anyone have any suggestions? I see some nice heavy duty retractable cords on Amazon but no idea how to attach them to the phone.

I would just wrap something through your headphone jack under the case. Makes things sinple and easy.

Not everyone necessarily wants to spend that much money on a case though.

I see you answering for other people in multiple threads. He asked for options and he's being given them.

Horizontal Dock

When you want something done, sometimes you have to do it yourself. I've been looking for a bedside horizontal dock for my phone but have been unable to find anything I like. I decided to build one out of Legos. What's also cool is the fact that I also put a qi charger inside. Now I'm able to charge my phone while docked and also use the bedside app to display the time.

Is there any way you can make a video or even just a word document explaining which pieces you used/how many or each, and then give a brief explanation of how you attacked the qi charger? I would love to build one of these myself, so any help would be much appreciated.
