Can you return the phone on amazon, no questions asked? - Nexus 5X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm thinking of getting the Nexus 5x, it's on sale in Amazon for just 300 euros ( yes the 16 gb version, but it will do, I'm using spotify now ) , the thing is I'm concerned about the whole stories with the phone lagging like hell, if I don't like it, could I return it no questions asked ? As far as I know , a customer has 14 days to return an item bought online , but I just want to make sure
p.s. I live in Germany

if you're seriously concerned, get a nexus 6P (it's been on sale a handful of times), since it's the EXACT same experience minus the lag, plus a slightly bigger screen

It's been going on sale multiple times here in the USA (I got one for about $385 USD after combining some sales/promos), perhaps you can hold out for a sale over there as well?

wow , where di you get yours for that price? Amazon?? Here in Germany I think the nexus 6p flopped really hard, pretty much no physical store has it on stock, kinda feels like it was discontinued , you can only get it on google store and on amazon

I got it online at bestbuy.com, it was on sale for 450, I had a 10% off bestbuy coupon, and my discover credit card gave me another 10% off.
its definitely the best android phone out right now, but i agree the initial price it was sold at was pretty high.

At the moment the 5x (32GB) is available as an EBay.de WOW Offer for 299€ (ordered mine on saturday)
Regarding the performance I think with custom ROM/Kernel that should not be an issue any more.
Kindest regards,

Notice that all American prices are before taxes and here in Europe include a 20% VAT in the price so for a fair comparison subtract the 20% to the German price. Here in Amazon.es I've seen the 6p as cheap as 500€ an that's pretty close to the American price if you take into account you are paying a lot of taxes.

I know that the taxes are not included in America , but Google really screwed us over with the price of the new Nexus devices here in Europe , wow I just checked Amazon.es and the phone is indeed cheaper than on Amazon.de it costs 590 versus 650 here , there are of course cheaper prices but I always like to buy directly from Amazon , I think I'm gonna wait for the release of the galaxy s7 to see if it affects the price of the nexus 6p a bit
Gesendet von meinem Nexus 6 mit Tapatalk

Sure thing! I completely dismissed the 5x at launch until a co-worker said he had got it from Amazon.es at 350€. Finally it was 400€ for me, which I think is fair for what you get. I was also tempted by the 6p at 500€, but I really value using my phone one-handed when in a rush so I finally stuck with the 5x.
And back to your original question I never had any problem with returns from Amazon. Surely questions will be asked, but they are very good at Custer care and won't have problems if you respect the return policy times.

Buying Nexus 7 (2013) in India

So..who all are looking to buy this in India? I'm thinking of getting one using Google Play Store and HopShopGo this or the next week, 32GB version should cost about ~350$ by my calculations (270$ + 16.5% Customs + 25$ HopShopGo shipping).
Just as a note, I am not looking into selling or buying for others, just asking for people who are looking to do same as me
Available on Ebay
The16 gigs model is listed on Ebay already. For 19900/- with free shipping from US. http://www.ebay.in/itm/Google-Nexus...t=IN_iPads_Tablets&hash=item1c3551d6e9&_uhb=1

hey guys, is $229 for the 16 gig model the before tax or after tax cost of the Nexus 7 in USA ? I just wanted to know the exact price difference in ordering from Ebay vis-a-vis having someone get it from US...
Do you get india warranty when u buy from ebay or amazon?
Hey people, I ordered a nexus 7 16gb wifi only, on 2nd august, and it'd be arriving either tomorrow or day after tomorrow.
There's this seller called TabIndia on eBay.
I got it for 17500/- ($288) which is the cheapest you can get. The seller is trusted, and really nice to talk to. For getting a discount of 1500 (instead of buying it at 19000 through PaisaPay by eBay), you need to deposit the money in his account and he'd send you the tablet.
Of course, it sounds like a Scam, but I did it, and the seller is trustable. He owns a nice shop and you could just check out his eBay Reviews.
you could mail him @ [email protected] if you wish to buy with certain discount.
He was selling 32gb at 20,500 AFAIK.
I'm really worried about screenguard since I don't have any. I ordered XtremeGuard but that'd take like 20 days more to arrive.
Any suggestions for the same? I have a neoprene sleeve which'd work for nexus 7 2 though.
Warranty ?
Am also considering getting one for me from USA as one of my relative is due to arrive next weekend, Can anyone here using NN7 in India tell about Warranty ?
Will we get warranty in India by ASUS ?

Its before tax. I bought a 32 GB model from BestBuy. Price came to around $290 ($269 + taxes). I think Amazon doesn't charge any taxes.
I am waiting for it appear in Play Store India so that I can order one for my parents. But considering people are shipping from US, I am thinking of doing the same. Anybody has experience in how I can ship to India after buying from here?

Well if you are in the US, just buy one and send via your trusted parcel service, e. G. DHL, should be not a problem, not sure about Indian import tax tough, I had to pay 7 percent over here.

Ask tax form from seller. When item leave the country, immigration must pay you back to your account.

Where you getting your Mi Max from?

I've never imported a phone before. Very interested to hear where people are getting their MiMax from? as well as delivery speeds and buyer protection options?
I'll be importing it into the US.
Well, i placed an order on gearbest about 10 days ago for shipment to the US. Expected shipping was 2 to 5 days, but once it got to 10 days (today) and they couldn't offer a solid shipping window, I canceled the order. I'd really like to mess with this device, I mean the specs and price are great, but not at the risk of being strung along.
BTW, gearbest hasn't confirmed they'll refund all my money on a non-shipped item, but my credit card company will have the last laugh.
Anyone else get the Mi Max shipped to the States?
Got mine from ebay imported to US from Hong Kong. Very fast shipping, seller was responsive, tracking #, etc. Smooth transaction... Got it on my door in less than a week. It was $309 when they first showed up. Now he also has 64gb version.
http://m.ebay.com/itm/XIAOMI-MI-MAX-MIUI-8-Snapdragon-650-Hexa-Core-6-44-Inch-Screen-WIFI-GPS-3GB-32GB-/152099506735
I contacted Xiaomi and they directed me to their Partner store: http://nis-store.com/xiaomi-smartphones/xiaomi-mi-max-3gb32gb-dual-sim-silver/ $269.00 for 3/32GB is among the better prices I've seen. I have to check on availabiity. I don't mind waiting 10 days for shipping, but I won't wait around for a product being sold that isn't in stock, or expected to me for weeks. That's just bad business.

I bought two from goldway @ AliExpress. One mi max and redmi note 3 pro for the girlfriend. Asked them to declare the value to 35 dollars for each one. Paid for them to be Shipped with DHL. Got them in three days. Freaking fantastic. They come with vendor roms. But I Flashed miui 8 without problem with both.
One thing to note that mi Validator doesn't work. Could be an issue with miui 8 beta. But what I've read its more due to it being a chinese version on the phone. Apparently there is another chinese Validation page that you can check your phone at to make sure its not a fake. Antutu Validator says they are not fake.
I would recommended top - one. Goldway is good too that I used.
but nobody has the 64 gb grey version, i found only the silver and gold version.

I did & had nothing but issues with that Geekbuying so far.
I brought it & paid for DHL but then they come back & say it's no in stock. Then this week they said they will ship "sometime this week".
Honestly Geekbuying is a joke with their processing times & won't be order from them again.
The product is not in stock
Only gold version will be available on 128Gb. Gearbest is not bad, I think they try to confirm addresses first, so be watchful after making an order, thats it. I've just checked the igoyou.com site.....the phone is not in stock and ebay is selling about 30 bucks higher without a chance for express shipping. Ebay is my preferred, but, i'll have this arrive from geabest with 5 days to spare assuming i decide to go with ebay. The phone is in hot demand and smaller sites like jadopado do not even have the 128Gb, but have already jacked up prices.

Experiences with VAT and DHL when Ordering Mi Max from Aliexpress?

Hi,
I was wondering you anyone has order from Any sellers from Aliexpress, thinking primarily of Top-One, Goldway to europe. I know some sellers have relay services to get it toll free into EU (although it's a moot point for me since I live in Norway).
What are your experiences especially shipping with DHL? Did it go painlessly?
How are your experiences with DHL and customs?
Do chinese sellers declare low value? If so, does it get stopped in customs?
Should I explicitly ask to declare normal value in order to not have customs problems?

Toll charges comes about a week later in a letter from DHL.
DHL always charge you for the tax. Their policy prohibits the sellers from under-marking the item value and they calculate it in advance rather than waiting for the UK, Germany, France etc to review the shipment and apply any charges.
The seller could technically get around it by creating a second invoice with a lower value and using that for the customs paperwork but then can complicate matters when it comes to returns and other things.

My mi Max was $303 for 64gb version so I think this was a good price considering every other store was around 340-370 when I was getting it and shipping around 50.

Mi Max
I ordered my Mi Max from xiaomidevice on a Monday and got it the following Monday using DHL..came a day earlier as Tuesday was suppose to be the delivery date..glad I was home to pick it up
My buddys family goes back and forth to China and they picked me up a 128GB Helium for $313 USD.
I ordered from Carry-it electronics with DHL. Major error!
They didnt declare anything so i had to pay 46 euros to dutch customs first to even get my phone.
Afther 7 weeks now the phone went completely black.... Dead. It still was stock..... On directions of Carry it i took it to local phone store...15 euros to check it. Mainboard defect! Not repairable by them. Carry it doesnt believe me so they avoid any responsibility. I should sent it back and make more costs... No way. First make more costs to customs because of their error.... Then 15 euros to check the phone... And then ship it anyway......
Folks.... Don't do business with Carri-it
I ordered from my Mi Max from Top One, price I think was 272 dollars total, to Czech Republic. 64GB version. Very smooth transaction, received it one week later via DHL, no customs, no hassle, they even put Google Play on it. Would gladly deal with them again.
Issue right now is that out of the box I know they don't support all the LTE bands in Europe and I am trying to find if someone has a patch that will unlock them. I am getting about 12Mb/sec, which while not as bad as my first test which as a horrible 1MB, still far from what LTE can be. Outside of that, what a great phone, easy on the eyes, fast, and great battery.
Phone came with 7.32 or something MIUI. Unless the MIUI that is out there includes more LTE bands, I am not going to chance updating right now, just my preference.
Officially MI max 128gb GB is not available.. Can anyone recommend be a website in Hong Kong where I can buy MI max 128gb? Plus some accessories

You are forgetting the asking "price" is not THE real "street" price AFTER launch. LG phones drop in price considerably a month or two after launch. Go look on eBay or Amazon and see what a new 32GB LG G6 is going for now?
This one is the European carrier unlocked model, which also qualifies for bootloader unlock:
NEW LG G6 H870 4GB 32GB ASTRO BLACK 13MP EUROPE MODEL ANDROID 7.0 4G SMARTPHONE (£388.99)
Yet, back in June it was £649. SEE? £260 DROP in price in 4 months.

The LG G6 has an eye-watering £649 SIM free RRP in the UK, which is astronomical given we're used to seeing phones from this brand come in at almost half that cost after a few months of being on sale.

Sure enough, it's now almost half the cost since beginning of summer.
I'm going to wait for the carrier unlocked version (mid-November) and then I'm going to wait until the carrier unlocked version is listed on LG's official bootloader unlock list (probably end of December).
By then, hey the price will have dropped dramatically, I predict.

even after 2-3 months from 800 pounds to 600 its still fking BS. it's already 600 in the US.... it will be cheaper right now to use a freight forwarder in the US and send it here at 650GPB including shipping and tax @ your front door!!!! better yet, got a mate in the US the shipping will drop from 50GPB to like 20GPB!

Apparently it's going to be the single SIM version only too. No thanks.

Has the dual-SIM version been scrapped?
Pre-ordered mine from Mobiles.co.uk on O2. 3gb data unlimited texts and minutes. £29 per month and £150 up front. Used code vc15off to make that £135 up front.
Coming from a Nexus 6p. Have liked stock android but not impressed with the Pixel 2 XL decision to not have a 3.5mm headphone jack. Plus it looks too damned huge.
Short list was;
- Sony XZ Premium - camera distortion issues put me off
- Samsung Note 8 - Size, weight, poor audio output
- Nokia 8 - Lack of cases, screen protectors
Waiting for the 1st November.

Verizon trade-in...

So when I pre-ordered my Pixel 2 XL, the site told me my Nexus 6 was worth $0 as a trade-in. Anyone else have this happen to them? Is there any way to negotiate this?
Maybe they got flooded with them and cut trade ins of them off?
I have 6p and they're giving me 150 bucks for it.

if its through VZW, they are of no real value to them.
Even through the google store itself, max is $80 for the 64GB version $70 for 32GB.
They are going for twice that price on swappa, much better off selling it yourself.
Excellent, thanks for the info!

Fantastic. The OP however has a Nexus 6, not a 6P.
I got one even better. 2 months ago I got the ASUS ZenFone AR... Still in new condition... Verizon will only give $50 for trade in LOL... Verizon is a joke...
I'd say 90% of the time you are better off on swappa then trading it into VZW. Although, I got $280 for my Note 4 a few weeks ago.
