I have left mine on for a while, but after removing I fell in love with the rubber feel. ( I clean with bathroom foam...one small quick spirt on a cloth ).
On the topic of the plastic, I noticed the white serial number sticker can be either on the back of the rubber tablet under the plastic, or the back of the actual plastic protector (on top of the plastic).
The models I have experienced with the sticker on top of the plastic never updated from 5.0.2 to 5.1
1 when first boot up out the box. I have had experience with 6 Galaxy Tab S2's, and always upon boot up the tablet updates to 5.1.1..
Again, only the ones with the sticker on top (the outside) of the protective plastic did NOT update at all. I exchanged one...and the other one I had to update via hardwire to PC.
I'm thinking the first batch (older ones) have an update issue. I'm thinking the tablets with the stickers on the back (under the plastic) of the tablet are a newer batch. /shrug.
PS, the shoe looks like someone is crawling in or out the window.

kickstand case??

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8091859&postcount=4
can anyone tell me if this case will work with the vibrant. if not, where can i find a kickstand case, other than the bodyglove brand.
Bodyglove has a cool case that has a kickstand. It's around 20-25
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
i have both the black mesh kickstand as well as the bodyglove. they both fit and work. the mesh kickstand may not be the top choice of some vibrant owners because it does not protect/cover the borders of the front glass/face of the vibrant as most cases do. i've had problems with the bodyglove case as it appears to be scratching the back case of my vibrant. i had the same exact issue on bodyglove case with kickstand on my hd2.
.
i let my sister have my bodyglove case. i actually didn't have a problem with the weaknesses of the black mesh case since the makers of it actually put some soft padding within the case to prevent scratches on the battery/back cover of the vibrant.

I think that seller was selling 3 diff colors; black, white, and pink(?). I bought the black one 3 wks ago and recieved it about a wk ago. Initially, I thought that it was going to be shiny hard plastic case but to my pleasant surprise, it wasn't. The exterior is covered in a thin layer of hard rubber, covering the black hard shiny plastic underneath, while the inside of it is slightly padded. It looks a lot better in person than in pics.
Is the kickstand serving its purpose? Hell yea, it is...it makes watching movies on my dope SAMOLED screen that much more awesome The hard rubber makes for a good grip so it won't easily slip out of your palms like it sometimes would w/out it and it gives the phone an overall slick/cool (IMO) look. The only downside so far is that I'm getting some very small worn out spots where the hard rubber has rubbed off but it's not a big deal though.
Pics or it didn't happen, you say? Well, check 'em out !

Luxury Hard Plastic & Metal Cover Case Samsung Google Galaxy Nexus

I saw this within other posts but I didn't see that it had it's on thread so I'll post some pictures of it...
I bought this off ebay for $8 shipped. As you could probably figure out by the price it's definitely not metal, but rather all plastic. The metal finish back portion looks like some sort of thin aluminum brushed metal sticker and you might not be able to tell by the photos but the writing on the back is elevated and not flush against the backing and kind of "scrapy".
It actually fits really really well, almost as if a second skin, but it's a finger print magnet and theres no hole for the 3pin.
For $8 it's not bad as a backup case but you get what you pay for, but it's not too bad.

Does this work with NFC? How about cell/wifi/other radio signals?
Just to be clear this thing is plastic and not metal.
I don't know about NFC because I never use it or have anything to test it with.
Do you have an extended or normal battery?
I got mine in the mail the other day, ordered from here ("DELUXE" instead of "LUXURY" ): http://www.ebay.ca/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290671148814
I got the black one, like backspacr, but this seller has other colours (silver, pink, blue, red) available as well!
The case fits my GSM/HSPA+ model with a normal battery perfectly, though it can be a little creaky if you push on the tiny strips of plastic just over the volume and power buttons.
The plastic itself isn't black, but a darker, glossy shade of the Galaxy Nexus plastic, making it quite complimentary where the ends sticks out. I believe there is some metal plating on the "brushed" black backplate, as it feels cool to the touch most of the time. The whole thing feels quite good in the hand.
I was originally interested in it since it retained the branding, and unfortunately it's bevel out instead of bevel in, but that doesn't take away too much from the appeal.
No effect on cell signal, with wifi taking a bit of a hit (5-10 dBm), which causes some throughput issues, as I've noticed choking on video streaming when I'm at the far end of my house. As for NFC, I'll update this once I get it back from warranty replacement for the screen defect.
Overall a pretty good case, especially for the money, though I wouldn't get it again due to the effects on wifi throughput.
...And it completely blocks NFC. Terrible. Guess I'm in the market for a new case...
Edit: Perfect for NFC - Anymode Cool Case. Very nice in black.

[REVIEW][README] I-Blason Armor Box SUCKS

Hello guys, i just recived my I-Blason Armor Box about an Hour ago and its amazing!, Their havent been any reviews on it so far that are clear so i will make one now,
I wanna start of with features, now these are some ive added:
- Fully protected Nexus 5
- Sexy Look (if u choose it in green,xD)
- Screen Protector
- Sound is amplified and is not blocked when hand is placed on speaker
- Phone feels considerably safer
- Camera has no problems
- Port protectors, these are on the micro-usb and headphone ports!, stops dust gettin into it!
Now to problems i have with it:
- Screen protector is rubbish!, it however can be taken out, so im waiting for my Ilumi sheild screen protector to put it on my Nexus 5
Thats it, however the screen protector is a big down down as its really annoying, it also keeps grease on it like crazy!, also it floats off the screen a bit so sometimes when u tap u get this tap sound... and with that and the android tap sound, it gets annoying!
Price: Amazing!, 20$ for a armor case!!!
Here is a link to the case on Amazon: I-Blason Armor Box
Pics: (Haz no camera to take pics of phone in it,xD)

Wireless Charger: Yes
Veridict: If your getting this case, which i highly recommend!, get a seperate screen protector
Enjoy!
EDIT
I was happy with the case as everything was fine, recently i took it off as i decided to clean some dust that got stuck under the screen protector so after i did i also went ahead and wiped down the phone and luckily enough light caught the left area of my phone, i was almost in tears, i had my nexus 5 for 2 weeks without a case, not a single scuff/scratch, i bought a case to PROTECT my phone and what does it do? it scuffs it!, i am extremely disappointed in this case and im using my nexus 5 bare again, i know this might sound a bit extreme but im sending my nexus 5 back and getting the newer model as the newer ones come with bigger speaker holes and what not... so i might take the extreme precaution as this is a device im sticking with for a whole 1-2 years and i dont want this on my conscious, i have extreme ocd so this will kill me, :S
Have two since nothing else was out for it when I got them. The port protectors don't work against dust since they never really close. They are just a somewhat open flap. The red is more of a salmon color not actually red. The blue is baby blue. Should work for one fall. Included screen protector isn't great but does work. Headphones work but if they are a 90 degree plug it's not easy. I-Blason's shipping leaves a lot to be desired. One case was one day early the other case was 9 days late.

New SW3 version spotted with lower quality usb cover

There are two versions of SW3 on the maket right now. Both come from Amazon EU but the "good" one was shipped from France and the "bad" one was shipped from UK one week later.
The good one has a sturdy, alsmost metallic microusb cover, same colour of the back of the watch.
The bad one has a different cover, brownish colour and definetly lower quality flimsy plastic.
Check the pictures (top watch good, bottom watch "bad") :

I picked mine up last week from a Verizon store (in California) and it has sort of a "rubbery" feel to it. I think it's probably better as a rubbery stopper, as it will make it harder to break and probably snugger fit against water, no?
I honestly don't know. The harder version is more rigid and feels more solid. But may be rubbery one lasts longer... What do you think guys?
Two more pictures of the harder version
The soft one will eventually keep a rounded form because of the openning. The harder one will stay as is. Just my 2 cnts.
Mine came from Verizon online and I guess it's the metal one as it matches the rest of the back of the watch, but the inside of the cover is dark rubber.
Wow, I got mine preordered at Verizon and it is gray plastic. Ant it is already shows sign of stress.
Got mine from expansys last week. Its the rubbery one. I efing hate it when manufacturers do this ****. Now all I am wondering if the cover is different what else is different.
Built: 14W41
Mine is from expansys also. Same here, rubbery one. I'm gonna return it.
I have the rubbery one. I noticed the difference in the cover too when I was looking at the Metal band prototype. I am not too wired about it as I am sure you can get replacements of the metal one and swap it out. Watch still works great regardless at this time.
Anyone able to check their build-dates and work out whether rubber is newer or older? I wouldn't go by ship dates as some could be older stock.
I have the boxes with me with some numbers... I'll post pictures later today.
Shipped from France 2nd of November, hard cover:
Shipped from UK 9 days later, soft cover:
"14W41" is the manufacturing date (week 41 of 2014).
I just ordered my SW3 from the Google Play Store US yesterday. I'll report my findings once I receive it in a few days.
Mine is also got a rubber cover and box label is 14W41. i got this from Verizon online store.
I bought my device a day before yesterday at "Saturn" in Germany. Its a 14W41 with rubber cover
Glad to report mine 14W41 from Expansys UK first batch is the GOOD one.
Maybe yours is an prototype or a Metal version with metal usb cover, but rubber band.[emoji6]
Just received my SW3 from the US Google Play Store.. Here's a pic of the cover...

Transparent Backdoor?

I would love to see the internals of my g4.
Is there any clear/transparent backdoor out yet?

I had the same idea when I got my G4 a few months ago. I tried to check some of the Chinese website, I can't find one.
Haven't heard about such thing until now, checked out the iPhone4s and man does that look awesome. Let us know if you find one for the G4
Edit: tried my clear silicone case on the phone without the back cover and it looks pretty dope already
make a model for a 3d printer and I will print it on friends 3d printer he has one in office
Doesn't the back cover have NFC or wireless charging or both stuck on there?

It does, but you can purchase the stickers on Amazon for relatively cheap.
Sorry for digging this thread up after 27 months but maybe anyone here found/made a 3d model of that backdoor?
I'm working on accommodating camera covers on my H815 and opened a thread to discuss how to do that on the front without sacrificing the screen protector:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/accessories/camera-cover-custom-screen-protector-t3776657
But this leaves the issue of the main camera - the flat surface of the glass on top of it is too small to fit a cam cover slider and the area around the camera is curved. No way to stick that cam cover for longer than a day before it snaps right off in my pocket.
I'm planning to either print just the support for the cover - something to stick on top of the curved surface next to the camera to let the cam cover rest partially on the camera glass and partially on the support. That would still be rather suboptimal unless I use superglue for everything
- printing it precisely enough is one challenge, gluing it is one more, then gluing the cam cover is yet another. Then, having 3 elements made of 3 different materials connected on three surfaces (backdoor to support, camera glass to cam cover, support to cam cover), one of which isn't flat (backdoor) would make the whole thing rather loose without the superglue. But I think I'll end up doing just that since I can't seem to find the 3d backdoor model.
I was considering getting a 3d model of the whole backdoor to mod it so that this support would be its integral part - or even to integrate the cam cover slider right into it. And that's how I ended up here.
The reason why I want cam covers on there is not only because I'm paranoid but also because my cameras tend to get greasy so every time I try to take a pic I first get a foggy picture, then I wipe the cameras and have to re-take it. I had a cover on the back of my LG G2 D802 (the camera glass and the backdoor were perfectly flat in that area) and it helped a lot both with keeping the camera clean and with my anxieties.
