Did you unlock bootloader?
1. Connect the device to the computer through USB.
2. From a terminal on a computer, type the following to boot the device into fastboot mode (or restart pressing power+vol up):
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
3. Once the device is in fastboot mode, verify your PC sees the device by typing:
Code:
fastboot devices
4. From the same terminal, type the following command to unlock the bootloader:
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
If the device doesn't automatically reboot, reboot it from the menu. It should now be unlocked.
5. Then you can flash the recovery what you want. In fastboot mode, type in terminal:
Code:
fastboot devices
6. And flash the recovery. Type:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery your_recovery_image.img
Good luck

Hi, is it wrong to wipe the system partition before flashing a custom rom? Coming from stock ColorOS, I've wiped all dalvik cache, cache, system, and data, then flash a custom rom but it ended up getting endless bootanimation unable to boot into the custom rom.
I did unlock the bootloader with the adb code, flashing a temporary recovery was a success but endless bootanimation happened after flashing a custom rom. The custom rom was successfully installed according to TWRP's log.
Pls advice, thanks in advanced
P.s: I was referring to my friend's device X9076

Hi, i tried in the past some roms than not works, phone stuck in boot animation. The roms wich works for me and my x9076 with r63419 are:
Omnirom (6 or 5) THE BEST
Project Spectrum
Cyanogen 13 (modified version for new panel: http://community.oppo.com/en/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=44907&extra=)
Miui
If you install CM13, you need to flash unified partition script for CM13 (you can find it in the same post from the forum Oppo Community)
For the other roms i dont need to flash anything else than rom and gapps.
Now i give a chance to CM13, but i think that i will get back to Omni if developers dont fix the mobile radio issue.
Cheers

Can anyone guide me please, 1st time i bought MTK phone Oppo F7, its update automatically but suddenly dead like stuck on logo and restarting again and again, i didnt ever flash MTK phone, neither i have any android tool like MRT dongle or any other flash USB or Box... Kindly guide me step by step how to flash with which tool only USB cable and PC... Thanks in advance

Stuck on TWRP logo

Hello, my problem here is whenever I wanted to boot to recovery, it got stuck at the TWRP logo and cannot enter the recovery. Can anybody help? I already tried to flash it manually with the latest image and it still brings the same problem.

Did you follow the instructions to flash TWRP step-by-step?
*(Before starting, rename your TWRP image to twrp-recovery.img for convenience)
*This step is optional
Put your device into fastboot
Connect it to your PC
Open an adb command window
fastboot devices
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot flash recovery twrp-recovery.img
Then once it's done, you can disconnect your device and turn it off.
Once it's off, you can boot into recovery mode, and you should be able to access the recovery menu.
Cheers!

Thats not the end. If You can enter the fastboot mode then great.
-Download stock boot n recovery for ur Z00LD
-Download ADB Fastboot drivers and install on your pc. (Minimal Adb and fastboot is an easy available tool.).
-put your phone in fastboot mode and connect to pc.
- open minimal Adb fastboot interface( its a command prompt) or if you have installed ADB fastboot drivers then just press SHIFT + RIGHT CLICK (mouse). Will give you an option to open Command promp. Click it. And a terminal will open on that same path.
-type the following commands.
>fastboot devices
>Fastboot flash boot boot.img
>Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
>Fastboot reboot (before you press enter hold the volume down key so you will enter into recovery)
Thats it you have now your phone with fastboot and recovery and you can further if required install rom from sd card or sideload.

Custom recovery TWRP for Infocus bingo 21 m430

Working TWRP custom recovery for infocus m430 bingo 21.
To do this, you would require:
data cable if not rooted phone
stock marshmallow running infocus m430 bingo 21
if not rooted, you need adb and fastboot installed on your computer-> google this if never heard of.
download attachments of this post(twrp_recoveryimg)
Problems:
Before you do this, you need to know the temporary problems you would encounter and their solutions
TWRP is in other language but you can use this link to bring it back to english, 1 time thing
http://www.teamandroid.com/2017/04/30/change-twrp-recovery-language-english/
if the above link does not work out, there are lot of youtube videos to enable english in twrp. google out.
once mobile boots into recovery, it will not come back to normal. There is a bit being set by infocus on some partition to reboot to recovery always. Until i find it, you would have to use following the process below to come back to normal boot.
Steps to come back to normal boot
1. in recovery, select option advanced
2. select adb sideload option
3. swipe to start sideload(this will start adb in recovery mode)
4. cancel
5. in your computer type
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
6. After mobile shows fastboot mode: in top of the screen with infocus logo type the below command
Code:
fastboot continue
7. This should boot your device back to normal android boot.
8. You have to do this every time you boot to recovery.
Now follow the below procedures to get a custom recovery on your mobile.
Procedure 1 : (does not require root)
unlock developer options -> google this if you never knew this until now.
unlock oem. Do this by going to developer options -> oem unlocking(enable).
unzip the recovery image attachment
enter fastboot by typing following command.
Code:
adb reboot bootloader.
flash twrp_recovery.img in the attachement. Do this by using following commands.(place your twrp_recovery.img in the current directory of terminal / cmd)
Code:
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery twrp_recovery.img
Procedure 2 : (requires root) I have not tried this but it would work. Try it on your own risk.
Download the attachments
send them to your mobile sdcard
install mobile uncle tools or similar app from play store which would flash recovery images
select install recovery and point to the twrp_recovery.img in your sdcard.
Message me in case of questions or reply this thread.
Sir,where to type the code 'adb reboot bootloader' and other codes?
Want your contact number, for the purpose of custom recovery.
I tried that steps many times on my phone via pc. So help me for the custom recovery. I want your contact number to do this process correctly without worrying any problem occurs on my phone.
You should be able to find youtube video on how to install adb and fastboot online. After that, you should type those commands in command prompt in windows computer if you have or in terminal if you have linux or mac.

Problem while using adb fastboot method in In focus M425
What about infocus M425 phone ????

Root Armani in 2018

Method 1:-
Download Custom Recovery for armani in your pc and rename it to recovery.img
and download root zip and paste it in your sdcard
Download 15 seconds adb & fast drivers and follow the instructions....
In pc type the following commands by opening cmd from shift+right click and open command prompt here after connecting the device to pc
Code:
adb devices
after successful install of drivers you will see the device listed in that
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
After rebooting into fastboot mode type the following commands
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
after successful flashing of recovery then type this
Code:
fastboot reboot recovery
Flash SuperSU/Koush superuser in your TWRP/CWM/Philz recovery
Method 2:- Download Kingo ROOT and root
Method 3:- Download Kingo ROOT pc version in your pc and load it and connect your device to pc and root....
Method 4:- Download KingRoot and click to root....if it fails in first attempt, try atleast 5 times...
Yes these are indeed the best methods to root this phone.
Also, note that Magisk will not work for the stock MIUI because the phone has Android 4.4 and Magisk probably requires 5.0+. So, Magisk should be used for newer custom ROMs.

Also, like you had said earlier, if you don't have a PC due to some reason, you can use another phone or tablet for that purpose (to flash the custom recovery). I've read somewhere that most Android devices having 5.0 and below came preloaded with adb fastboot binaries (for newer Android phones, you can easily obtain the binaries online and add them into the /system/bin folder if it is rooted) and hence you can connect your Redmi to this other device using an OTG cable and use the shell (any terminal app) to issue the commands. The only important thing to be considered in this approach is that the other (host) device should have a big enough battery to be able to provide sufficient current to the Redmi phone such that it should not get disconnected during the process.
This method is usually ignored by people, but it really works.
Reserved
Reserved
Code:
$ fastboot reboot recovery
fastboot: usage: unknown reboot target recovery
Cannot issue the last command.
When I flash TWRP and reboot nothing happens. Same Mi Recovery is present.
I am on MIUI 9. Not rooted. I am trying to get a custom recovery but I fail. Please help.

Are you sure recovery was flashed properly?
Try this while in fastboot mode :-
Code:
fastboot devices
Make sure that your device is listed properly.
Try this
Code:
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery <path to recovery img>
Then reboot using
Code:
fastboot reboot recovery
If still doesn't work out, try to directly boot into recovery image
Code:
fastboot boot <path to recovery img>
If still doesn't work out, then there might be a problem with the fastboot binary on the PC, try to reinstall the latest version of it on the PC and try again.

If the issue is specific to TWRP Recovery, try to flash other recoveries. For example, older version of TWRP or maybe try Philz Touch recovery as well.
Yes, the fastboot devices is being listed. Still #2 didn't work. But #3 worked perfectly.
So for me flashing recovery didn't work. I had to temporarily boot into the recovery and then again flash the recovery from there.
Thank you for the help. :good:
Now we can root with Magisk too...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ap...v7-universal-systemless-t3473445/post78829088
Note:- Magisk v22.1 is the last version to support Android 4.4.2

No OS is installed. Moreover recovery cannot be accessed. Nor can flash it via adb.

Previously I was using Ressurection Remix treble rom which is based on android 9 pie. I went to TWRP and wiped the OS. Then I tried to install a new rom called Dot OS. But it showed error 7. So I flashed Vendortofactory zip within twrp and without rebooting again into TWRP I flashed a new TWRP image within TWRP by selecting Recovery mode. After that I cant boot into TWRP and as already my OS is gone I also cannot boot into any system. Moreover my device is not getting detected in my PC. I cannot install TWRP by writing commands in cmd, while the phone is in fastboot mode as the device is not getting detected in my pc. Really it is urgent. I will be glad if someone helps me. Thanks in advance.
What is the present booted state of your device? Are you in twrp, or bootloader. Most of the time you can keep on pressing the power button. When it boots into a message about unlocked bootloader, press volume button to select recovery and it will boot into twrp
You should be able to boot in fastboot mode without recovery nor os, maybe your drivers are not working on windows? Try different usb ports, check if the display says "bootloader" or something. If nothing works try the usb shunt, this device is literally 'unbrickable' if it's working properly.
Watch this video(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DexLELi04XY) and then you will be able to detect your phone in your pc in qcom 9008 mode , then use qfil to flash ZUI firmware ,there are plenty of tutorials on the internet for that ,then follow the proper procedure mentioned in DotOs thread for flashing the new rom .
Hope it helped .
If you don't want to flash the firmware and all long process just follow the following steps
Enter in to the boot loader make sure you installed all the drivers in to pc then open cmd windows in adb fastboot folder and enters the following cmd into the cmd
Fastboot -i 0x2b4c devices this will detect your device
After that enter
Fastboot -i0x2b4c flash recovery recovery name.img
And boom you are good to go flash the rom of your choice and enjoy
For this process you need following files
Adb and fastboot devices
Drivers of zuk z2
Latest recovery and place revovery image file into the adb and fastboot folder if you are confused about anything pm me i am not the expert but i faced simillar problem and solved by this method

This assumes u have upgraded bootloader to 4.4 kernal.
U can still boot into twrp.. When the phone is booting up press vol up key and select recovery.. From there boot into twrp. There select f2v or v2f .. Then flash twrp which u want to flash.. Reboot to recovery.. U will get promp no os installed.. Ignore and reboot to recovery . Then again d9 f2v or v2f depending on what rom to install.. Again reboot to recovery... Then flash rom of ur choice.
This procedure is needed when changing from vendor to factory and vice versa.
