FYI: There are a few roms/mods for the H830 in the H850 dev section - T-Mobile LG G5 Guides, News, & Discussion

There are a few things posted so far that are cross compliant. Take a look!
H850 Development

Wrong place to post this

Actually it makes sense since he is directing us to roms which is development .

Oh I didn't know you could link to other people's work on a development only section. I must have read the posting rules for this section incorrectly

What ROMS are you talking about? There is the Fluence patch.... but thats it....

I must be missing something. Thoughts anyone?

Yes, you are missing xposed fw
Google search xda xposed then download the arm 64 zip. Follow the instructions listed on the thread.

Yeah, I figured that out shortly after posting. Thanks for the assist either way

Ok children knock it off.

I found it very useful as I'm considering a purchase of at mobile edition G5 vs the Axon 7 which as of now has less development on it. To me, speed and memory are pluses of that model while camera and extendability with the friends are the bonuses on this front. It does show the H850 and H830 share similar Roms for several that matter using AOSP type builds of 7.1+ Nougat. Otherwise, without that development, I'd likely get that other phone for the extra $$ and faster processor.

[Q] GridOS on Desire?

Hey all,
Been seeing this new GridOS around (aka in the Grid4 from FusionGarage).
Reckon it would be possible to get a ROM of it on Desire?
It looks really cool and with all the awesome android devs out here we could get some serious stuff cooked up!
Hi,
may i have the link...btw i think wrong section...
Here's a brief article I found regarding what GridOS is all about.
http://www.engadget.com/2011/08/16/hands-on-with-fusion-garages-grid-10-tablet-and-grid-4-smartpho/
Oh, sorry! Wasn't 100% which section to put this in 'cause it's dev stuff but also a question.
Here is some info. on it:
http://www.fusiongarage.com/grid-os/about
yep buddy WRONG SECTION, this type of posts should be asked in Q/A section not in dev.section, i dont see that you develop something...
I'm also not too sure if it's really THAT fantastic (i.e. laggy and busy) but it would be fun to get it to work and make it a combo of this and, say, cyanogenmod.

But this is not just OS, this are devices based on Android, and there's no ROM leaks available if that's what your interested in They will be released in Q4.

new development forums

hmmm just spotted the new Development forum and not sure i like the way or logic XDA has used to create them.
I would so much prefered a way where Roms/Kernels/tools would have had there own subsections... at them moment the development forum across all devices is just a big old mess... it near impossible to keep up with some ROM development as there so much noise in there.
Not really sure the new design makes this any better.. now i have to remember if someones ROM/Kernel is there own or is based off of it and go to the right dev section so im sure instead i now have to keep check both. (same on other devices i have)
Kind of true. It would indeed be better if we actually had more sections cause it is indeed a bit of a mess. I would be lying if i said you cant find anything but a better overview is very welcome
i am going to be honest with you this is kinda a kick in the teeth for the devs of the roms...why would you separate something now like that is beyond me specially with most of the work is original anyway like look at the Viper Rom..All the tweaks and coding those guys put is original..
Same with ARHD rom...Basically 90% of stuff in that section is original....To be honest it is beyond belief why XDA does this but well you just got to respect there decisions...I find it wrong but hey

A better idea would be to have a sort of filter system, and a group of people who go around and give badges to the threads deserving of the "original content" status.

Yes even a better Filter system would have helped.. if evenone stick to the rule of [ROMS] / [Kernel] / [Tools] etc in the subject line then a nice way to just show those would have been much better.
But subsections should have been the way forward.
I also feel sorry for those over on the SII Forum, have you see how much a mess that place is?
im totally confused, why do we need another forum?

cause it is a mess mate...the new forum is just making it more confusing now for people and not just that it is a mess now
THE BEST IDEA IS TO HAVE MULTIPLE SUBSECTION LIKE
DEVELOPMENT- JUST DEVELOPER RELEASE AND THERE SHOULD BE LINK TO THE DISCUSSION THREAD OF THAT DEVELOPMENT RELEASE WHERE USERS CAN REPORT BUGS
DISCUSSION.
. OFFTOPIC
THEMES APPS AND GAMES.
YOU CAN HEAD TO forum.samdroid.net and look at I5700 as it was the primary phone of that forum. u can see how well the idea of original development and discussion is implemented

has anyone setup a public cm repository yet?

I remember the Nook Color had a large community effort behind it here on XDA to get CM working on it before it was official... Sounds like several of us are working on the SM-T210/SM-T210R independently... Wondering if anyone has setup a git or anything that everyone can pitch in and get CM off the ground?
If not... Ill start one... though I cannot promise to throw large numbers of hours at it.
i am waiting for the cm10 and android 4.2.2
i need the new multiple user feature...
all my phones got the cm ....i sell the tab 2 and bought a tab 3 ....
cant belive that nobody is modding a cm mod for this one ;(
i ask for it in the cyanogenmod forum .... but no answer

This belongs in a question thread, not a development thread. Any questions (or planning type) thread does not belong in the development section. Once something is actually developed, it can be moved to the development section.

You should look at the nook color development forum's history as referenced before making these sweeping statements.
Well, there IS a sticky thread reading "If you did't create it, it probably doesn't belong here" - we might argue about what create means but anyhow...
There are 3 threads on CM-Development:
This is the most active one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2473201
These have already been there at the time of your post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2466040
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2495487
Did't you actually post in one of these already? Well it doesn't matter, there are a few repos, one for the kernel:
https://github.com/kumajaya/android_kernel_samsung_lt02
and modules:
https://github.com/kumajaya/android_kernel_samsung_lt02_modules
And for the device-specific files:
https://github.com/TeamRegular/android_device_samsung_lt02wifi
https://github.com/TeamRegular/android_vendor_samsung_lt02wifi
(those are not yet buildable but more complete)
and mine:
https://github.com/kaibutsu/android_device_samsung_lt02wifi
(which is buildable but far from complete)
I hope this helps. I'd like to use the TeamRegular-Repo, but I don't really understand what was done there, so I set up my own - to be synced with the other one at some point.
As far as the other models are concerned, I don't know about them but since their hardware is completely different, I don't think setting up a repo for all three makes sense...

Where is Rom development?

Why the rom development for our phone is too slow?? I cant see even a single rom based on aosp or cm
It is because bootloader is locked for G3, and recently devs found the way to get past the bootloader. They are working on AOSP and other roms, but we need to wait.

Do some reading instead of just posting crap like this - there's many roms being worked on

Any type of query is never a crap..i have posted my confusion in a sincere manner..if you think this is a crap then there are lot of questions which will stay in our mind and will never be posted here. These forums are for clarifying our confusions and it does not matter what they are..thanks a lot for your reply
A search and your could have found an answer - your post seems demanding - to answer your question - why is rom development slow....
Cause your're impatient.

This post seems rude and impatient. I realize you were asking for help with a legitimate question, but you asked it the complete wrong way. A quick search would have shown you that Bump was released for all G3 variants on October 10th. It has been 2 weeks since the bootloader was unlocked and Team Codefire has not publicly released the method to Bump kernels yet. Reading just a few of the G3 threads for any device would have given yiu your answer and so many people are already discussing this. I apologize for being harsh and I hope I have answered your question.
After some months I'm thinking about changing rom. Thanks for the news.

Unofficial TWRP??

I was wanting to know if there was like a thread like OnePlus 7 pro threads have like a official/unofficial TWRP thread or is TWRP for pixel 2 xl dead

First, TWRP for the P2XL is NOT dead. The current version works, which is why there aren't any unofficial ports.
Second, an update to TWRP to resolve the issues uncovered when updating to Android 10 is planned. The developer has a family and is concentrating on that right now, so it will be a while.
Third, take the source and build TWRP yourself. Then you can make the thread you think is needed.

Sorry if you thought I was complaining I just didn't know if I missed the thread somewhere
Thank you for your 3 points there
But I was just asking questions
I thought the xda community was a place people could ask questions
How things have changed

I doubt any insult was intended.
The answers were direct and to the point, but they were accurate. The suggestion to learn to dev on your own is simply that; in the event you can't find the development you're looking for, try and fill that void and learn to develop like countless others here have.
THAT suggestion has inspired innumerable members to learn to develop on their own, and many have gone on to be well regarded devs on Xda. So it's much more of a legitimate suggestion than the sarcastic response you may have thought it was.
