[Q] Any way of unlocking this device?

hey all!
I am about to buy a galaxy w for good money (150 GBP) but it's locked on t-mobile. I need it on giff gaff (o2). Any chance of unlocking it for free? I searched high and low...couldn't find anything xD. I currently have a galaxy 3 (i5800)...the galaxy w should make for a nice upgrade i think
cheers

whoooohooooo Got my phone today. It's brilliant! And...surprise surprise...it was unlocked hahaaaaa Don't need to spend anything extra for that Now i just need to root it and i'm good to go ^^. It's fast enough atm...i don't want a custom rom. Will defo instal ICS when they fix the camera though
sooo...what's the best way of rooting? Phone has the latest software update (just did that half an hour ago)
Do CWM recovery via odin - very simple.
Root with the Update.zip method.
Enjoy!
Yes you should root it with The update.zip method but this only works with stock recovery, so don't put in CWM recovery first.
That's a good deal, where did you get it?
i got it from a pawn shop...cashconverters. But the phone still had the original screen protector on (the samsung one...with all the writing), and all the accessories were still in their original packaging. Probably an unwanted present. I don't care really
I can see a problem though... i left the phone to charge overnight and now it's at 30% battery already :| I did play with it all day long, but still...i think the battery life is not too great... other than that, i love it

[Q]Upgrade while on charge

hi guys! new HOX user here...just wanna ask is it okay to upgrade the software version using internet pass through in my laptop? (though it will usually charge the battery) because i don't have a wifi and the warning says the battery should not be on charge.

[Q] Oh that slow battery charge...

Had a One on T-Mobile for a brief stint when it first came out. Got one on Verizon now. It's a little silly how long this phone takes to charge once you get up to 80% or so... is there any way to help speed this up? At this point it's slower than the Droid Maxx I've been trying out for the past couple of days...

Horrible battery life!

Hey guys,
I bought my new LG G3 two weeks ago, so I think I can tell you something truly about the battery of my LG G3.
At first if all, I have to say,as I have read I thought it could be bad at the beginning of the circles, but now I can't understand the tremendous battery drain.
Maybe I just post the pictures and you will help me understanding it.
As you can see I do have 2,66 hours of sot.. And I have never gotten more than this time...
And this is sucks so hard!
It isn't the 2,5k display it's just android os and Android system
Maybe you can analyze it and help me getting out of frustration

One issue I had dealt with on my other phones (not this one yet) is when you are in areas where service is sometimes spotty, the antenna works hard to try and keep (or search for) a connection. I remember having an older phone drain in under 4 hours from a full charge because of where my job site was located.
My LG G3 gets great battery life so far, but I'm also rooted, bumped, and got rid of bloat/carrierIQ which was chewing up some of my battery.

Before posting another battery life post you really should use the search function. Many users, myself included, already provided battery saving tips. On average, users get 4-5 hours screen time with optimized settings. I get on average 5-6 hours with my optimizations. Here are links to my posts to help you.

It looks like your device is constantly searching for a cellular signal, 42% battery usage. Did you mess with mobile data settings?

Question Pixel 6 pro randomly rebooted while charging during the night..

Plugged my pixel 6 in to charge and at approximately 1am it rebooted and when I woke up around 8am it asked me for my pin instead of fingerprint to unlock it.. anyone ever experienced this.. I am on lastest software android 13.. thanks
system UI could have crashed? maybe? this happens from time to time. gotta love android lol (and i do)
Kinda what I was thinking . First time in a couple months that I've had the phone . Should I be worried ?

I'd only worry if it happened to me on a regular basis.
This happens to me basically every night while on the Pixel Stand (Gen 1) while I'm asleep. I honestly have no idea what's causing it. This is my second P6P and they both did the same thing. I am rooted so I guess it could be related to that.
I just wanted to add my experience here because I was actually going to create a thread about this but didn't want to get yelled at about NOT SEARCHING before I posted.
