How Lenovo vibe k5 plus update works in reducing heat !! We have been cheated !! - Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus Questions & Answers

Do u guys know how the k5 plus has reduced heat production after the update s042 and s048 ?
Cause Lenovo has underclocked our processors max frequency!!
Before the s042 update that is till s034 the max frequency used by the phone was 1500mhz that is where the performance is max and ur quadrant and AnTuTu benchmarks will be 21000 and 37000 respectively...so when u compare with fonearena.com benchmarks it will be almost the same !! But after the s042 and s048 update the max frequency has been underclocked to 1130mhz!! So u will get quadrant and AnTuTu be around 17000 and 30000 respectively and when u compare with fonearena.com benchmarks all the benchmarks for u will be significantly low !!! So I am staying with s034 update rooted and using greenify to get max performance and a better battery life if u don't believe me test them urselves and see

whats the solution then
The phone performance got worst any solutions please iam a noobie android user

I got 28644 IN ANTUTU! I think I have S051!

Root ur phone install cm 13 to get antutu score about 38000

I am on s051 version. did the 58mb ota update. disabled all the unnecessary applications. the performance is terrible. heavily under clocked CPUs. we cannot call it a SD616 now. we have been cheated. anyways to revert back the update?

[Q] Battery Voltage LOW ONLY 3mv

after installing solid kernel 1.8 my phone always crashing when running a benchmark like antutu. but when i'm on stock rom it completes the test, but i'm not yet see the voltage on stock?
what should be the problem ? my battery ?
thanks for any help on me .
update im on stock and still its in 3 to 4mv of my voltage , i test again with antutu and it complete the benchmark.
what could be the reason that i have only 4mv on my battery? but when i switch to solid kernel or cm12.1 it crashed on benchmarking, that has the same 4mv like on stock. 4mv is very low im right?

which rom for oneplus 3 has best battery life and performance

Please tell me which rom is overall gud for oneplus 3. Checking all the rom ia not possible for me it takes lot of time and i m really disappointed form oxygen os 4.0.3 it drain lots of battery please suggest me a rom with good battery life and performance i dont care much about customization
Iam afraid there is really nothing that can help you (or others like me..). I have tried allot of ROMS and they all result in somewhat the same result.
1 charge 1 day (or almost 1 day) Does not matter if i use custom kernel battery improvement tools or "special" tips and tricks at the end of the afternoon iam still running low. I know i use my phone ALLOT and i use allot of connectivity (WIFI, 3/4G, BT) that is properly the issue, but still its sad that the only thing that might help is buying the oneplus3T.

If you want to stick to MM then go for Sultan's CM & if you want to upgrade to N then go for Resurrection Remix. Both ROM's stock kernels have new good battery life but in the camera part they are out numbered. Sultanxda has done best job by optimising the inbuilt camera app at par with stock OOS & also he gives security patch updates too as soon as they are released.
Resurrection Remix on other hand works great with Android N but has buggy camera due to buggy camera on LOS & we know that till now OnePlus has not released blobs so can't do anything.
All this is my personal preference. You can try out both our any other ROM's from development section like Cypheros or AOSP extended which are AOSP & LOS based or for for Freedom OS or Experience ROM which are OOS based.
I have around 7h SOT with latest freedomOS and bluspark kernel. In my eyes thats pretty good and carries me easily through the day. And light use even 2 days.
If you have any heavy battery drain you should search for the reason. Check wakelocks and logcat too find out whats wrong.

Try VertexOS.. You wont feel a stutter and I'm not joking.. Als it scales way more efficient because of EAS. It delivers a near stock experience

Well it has EAS.. Which means that the CPU can be really tamed.. Battery depends on standby but in my usage pattern I can easily get 4 hours SOT. I get an average drain of 13% per hour.

Zuk Z2 Plus on Nougat India?

Dear friends,
I'm now on Zuk Z2 Plus 2.0.133 ST (India)
And I've received new notification to update to version 2.5.104 ST (India)
I'd like to ask if it is official and not beta right? Because I've never signed up for any beta program.
As I've heard that on this version has annoying duplicate notifications bug. Is it fixed or it still exists?
Should I update it now, any other known bugs you care to share?
I dare not update if there are still a lot of bugs ongoing. I'll hold back for longer until new better version comes out.
Thank you in advance!
please don't
I have not installed beta but i would definitely say that the update is pathetic.
Phone lags, significant heating issue and battery drains like crazy. Even if i do not play games i could see the temperature spike up to 51C which is unbearable.
Lenovo has done pathetic job providing this update which is of no use at all. I wonder if its a upgrade or downgrade.
I have updated . No issues. Battery improved. Antutu bennchmark is down to 120k.

Yes AnTuTu and Geekbench scores are low on the Indian version of ZUI 2.5.
My AnTuTu score is around 60k. It's surprising to see this score on SD 820.

Besides I'm planning to unlock bootloader and flash custom ROM soon. Which ROM would you prefer? With voLTE though.

I have just ordered this phone today, will get it maybe before 8th May. After reading a lot of bad reviews on amazon, I am thinking to use it for 3 months before rooting. Redmi note 3 was final but recent deal of SD820 at ₹12000 was too tempting for me.
As far as I have read forums, Jaguar rom seems promising for battery life as well as benchmarks. Try that out

My friend just purchased a Redmi Note 4 32Gb and 3Gb Ram model at 11k with SD 625
Z2 Camera was slightly better in day light but in low light, RN4 camera was slightly better
Cameras are really close, not much difference
Don't know if I had received a broken/bad model but I don't see any lag or heat issues with my device(lenovo z2 plus with Nougat)

What ROM should we download for best battery backup and gaming performance

Hi I already posted a thread about this but I didn't get much response and I just wanted to ask that the battery life in a custom ROM is really worst. When I was using the stock ROM the battery backup was really good but the gaming and performance was really bad so from that moment I've been installing new custom ROMs to find out one which has great battery and also great performance but I failed to do so. And I don't knoknow why but the battery backup is really bad in every ROM. I am currently on viper is and it is giving me 3h 21m SOT and in the stock ROM I got around 6 to 7 hrs SOT so what should I do for battery and performance
Check Jaguar, it's performance is the best amongst any other rom right now. Though the battery life is average..

Go for DoTOS (Non treble build)
You can even try bootleggers and latest Aex 5.5
P.S - Aex 5.5 is fully treble supported so you need to flash factory2vendor.zip and after that compatible twrp.

Can't confirm about all the ROM, tried only PE, RR, AEX, AiCP.
Now I have seen others getting 6 to 6h30min with most of these ROM for general usage.
I had issue with PE but some go around that with custom kernel.
By default installations of ROM, without any other extra mods, I have seen both AiCP and AEX offering 6h to 6h30min SoT with moderate use. That including bit of casual gaming also (but of Guns of Boom or a match of PubG).
Bootlegger + BFR Kernal V3.3
AiCP 13.1 May 11Th
Nameless Kernel R14
No root
PubG at medium
WiFi network
6% battery for a 33 min match. That accounts to around 12% per hour.
This is a new installation, not yet through few charge cycle, so data may change in next few days of use.

bootloger 2.2 14 april + heliox v2 was good balance performance , if you want more battery backup just install greenify active doze and install akt profile xana battery profile
Bootleggers is not so good on my personal experience. Try out Jaguar, it had the best performance u can ever witness with this device. On the contrary games force close on the latest update of bootleggers rom[24-8-2018].I faced this issue with clash royale and clash of clans.
I have been using Arrow OS Oreo for a month now, getting around 5 hrs SOT on normal usage.
After installing AKT (X.A.N.A BATTERY) I get more than 7 hrs SOT normal usage. Videos, live streaming and twitter. No gaming.

I have used bootleggers for a long time and i was not satisfied with the battery performance it degrades after some time while using the rom for days and then few weeks back i switched to cardinal os i know its not that heard of, but it is more stable and battery efficient, my device is 1.5 years old so battery has also aged on bootleggers i used to get around 4 hrs but on cardinal i get about 5 - 6 hrs of sot that to when I charge my device once a day. And i used the stock battery configs on both roms

Anyone interested in an Over clocked kernel or rom?

I've compiled Resurrection Remix with over clocked CPU (@2.2ghz) and GPU (@800mhz) and it's not that much of an improvement. I'd say PUBG runs little better now and some improvement in benchmarks. Well, I wasn't expecting miracles either but let me know if anyone wants an over clocked ROM or kernel. I am trying to add exfat support (I'd be happy if any devs can help me with that) as many user wants but I'm getting nowhere for now.
I can even take it to next level with CPU @2.4ghz and GPU @850mhz but I think that would be overkill.

I think it's little less than the stock ROM but now it depletes faster while gaming (as gaming pushes all cores to max).

Nice. That kernel would be great to VR
Well , good idea is to make only OC kernel and then setup it via kerenel audiutor eg. -- OC @ gpu would be nice because it is weakest part of MZP . I've just made benchmark on stock oreo antutu 7.1.3 = 75716 pts. while on latest Cosmos 3.2 rom result was 81703 pts.

Under volting is not a good idea, it creates a lot of issues. To increase battery life use smart pixels, build prop tweaks and also amplify and greenify. However for screen on time, lowering resolution and smart pixels are best options.

Yeah, nice idea
I think stock runs on 8.0 while Cosmos on 8.1 so that might've improved it somewhat,
I wish if there was some tweak to OC GPU of normal ROM.

I think a kernel with overclocking possibilities would be nice. In fact, what I would really love was to see a port of Elemental X or Blu Spark kernels.
