VGA Adapter - Galaxy Tab S2 Accessories

Hello
I'm trying to find a VGA adapter for Tab S2 but I almost found nothing in amazon
80% of my time is all about emails/reading/presentations so I want to see if this possible to use my tab s2 as my main laptop like
- So do we have any working vga adapter?
- How is the resolution when connected to projector or monitor especially with PowerPoint?
- is it a dream in your opinion or you think I can detach my laptop for email/reading/browsing/doing PowerPoint presentation?
Thank you so much in advance

VGA? You can MHL out to HDMI no problem...

I use Chromecast 2 to mirror to the TV or monitor with HDMI input. Works great.

I have sorted this. I bought the Samsung microUSB to HDMI adaptor (samsung.com/us/mobile/mobile-accessories/tablets/galaxy-hdmi-adapter-et-h10fauweguj) and the I also bought a HDMI to VGA adaptor (amazon.com/dp/B016VS5EJ6?psc=1) and that works

Thank you so much for the information
Can you let us know about your feedback for the resolution and presenting PowerPoint to the screen does it show a good resolution ?

I think we'll have to wait for the 10.1 and have to hope that the accesoires are compatible
All of the cables from the original Galaxy Tab work with the 10.1v (according to a Samsung rep in Australia), including the composite video out. Hopefully this means the cables for the 10.1 will work with the 10.1v too.
thanks guys,
probably stupid question, but do you know when these cables will be available for the 'original' tab?

I think they are already available and have been for some time.
Anyway, it looks like an HDMI adaptor for the 10.1 is on its way:

I would bet these work fine with the 10.1v - though until they are released, we won't know for sure.
Will the 30 pin one from the Galaxy Tab 7 work?
Just got my Tab 7 inch HDMI dock in the post today - can confirm it works with the I/O 10.1 Tab
...there is already a youtube video from someone else showing this working, so search there if my good word is not enough for you!
Was just playing some Mario Kart 64 with my Datel Retro Wireless controller on my 42 inch television. Nice!
Galaxy TAB 10.1 HDMI
Hi
Do you need to do any setup?
I have connect the HDMI connector for 10.1 to my tablet and connect the HDMI to my TV and could not see any signal
Any idea?
You have to plug the usb/ac cable to the adapter and power source to work. Just the adapter and HDMI cable doesn't work.

[Q] MHL-HDMI Adapter to VGA

Hi,
does anyone know an adapter to change the HDMI signal from my MHL-adapter to VGA?
I need it because of the data projectors at my university.
I have already tried with 2 adapters: HDMI-> DVI and DVI-> VGA
but it didn't work.
Thx for your help
Just wait for something like that : http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/bizlink-mhl-to-vga-tv-out-adapter-black-p29960.htm
Or buy this type of cable, that could be better than buying a new adapter :http://imgs.inkfrog.com/pix/soonitrade/VGA_HD-15_Male_Cable_(1).jpg

HDMI has no analogue component so it can't be passively converted to analogue (VGA.) Similarly, VGA-HDMI cables are designed for devices that can output HDMI-over-VGA, and won't work either. You need an active adapter for that.
Like this: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/hdmi-to-vga-video-converter-71816
HP makes a HDMI to VGA

I haven't tried this yet. Anyone know if this HP device works?

[Q] Dock Resolution Question

Hello,
I received my GNII Samsung Dock today!!! I am having issues in regards to resolution.
I have a Acer A193W 19" monitor and a HDMI to DVI cable. When I hook it up to my AppleTV2 the output is perfect.
When I hook the same combination up to the GNII via the dock my resolution is stuck at 720x350 and needless to say looks horrible.
Does anyone have and tips or thoughts on how to resolve this issue?
Thanks for the help
I was told I would get a better response here than in the TMo only forum.
Thanks again
Anyone? Could it be I need a newer HDMI monitor instead of an HDMI to DVI ?
Use a hdmi cable with a hd monitor
scribbled from my note 2 (N7100)
Thanks, I'll scrounge one up. I was initially confused because the native phone res and the ATV res should both be 720p.
I'm not thinking that anything is wrong with the phone or dock, just didn't know if anyone else has run into the issue.

Connecting galaxy tab s2 to my TV which adapter?

Hi can anyone help? I'm trying to find a HDMI adapter for my tab s2. Samsung recommends the et-h10fauweguj adapter but I've read I need the et-h10fauwegww adapter.has anybody tried any of these and did they work? I've heard aswell that the aspect ratio doesn't quite fit the TV so it has black Bars around the picture. Is that true. Thanks in advance. Mark

I got a fake one that works with Note 4. If it works with Note 4, it will work with the Tab S2. It's also true that you'll see black bars, but if you root and change the device resolution it will work perfectly, but you need to root.

My unofficial adapter outputs low resolution 4:3 picture to my 1080p displays, I'm rooted and would love to figure out how to get the appropriate AR/resolution working!

Worked for me. Good Luck!
MicroUSB to HDMI
I have a Galaxy Tab S2 (SM-T815NZWENEE ) which I am trying to connect it to a TV with an HDMI cable.
I have the ET-H10FAUWESTA (original Samsung) MicroUSB - HDMI adapter and when I plug in a HDMI-VGA adapter, I can display screen through a projector.
As soon as I plug in a HDMI cable instead of the VGA adaptor and connected it to a TV there was no picture.
I looked at Chromecast or other wifi dependent methods is not an option
Any ideas?

@pmenzies ... I connect my Chromecast directly to the TV with HDMI connector. Works perfectly with my S2 T810.

I think the Tab S2 don't have the MHL connection as the Note 4 (look in the Specs at the Connectivity topic) .
My Note 4 works but my new TaB A 10.1 doesn't. With MHL feature you can connect your MicroUSB - HDMI adapter and plug in the TV. To connect the Tab S2 mostly use the Chromecast device or Ezcast device (Miracast).
WiFi Direct could work with some smart TVs.
Edit: Surprise me that http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_tab_s2_9_7-7438.php shows : USB microUSB v2.0 (MHL TV-out)
But Samsung web site doesn't show MHL in specs like it shows for Note 4 smartphone.

Plase let us know, this would add so much more functionality to the tab.

I think only devices with USB TYPE C 3.1 can do that, which comes only with only Samsung and one plus flagship
but you can stream pubg on your tv with screencast

Thanks ,that explains a lot
But on the plus side as well i found this thing called Non MHL to HDMI ,its a cable with built in processor that works just as a capture thing thus working as a middle man and enabling MHL in non MHL devices
By the looks of youtube videos ,the performence aint that bad either
For right now i went on the raspberry Pi 4 connected to my projector and act as a client using steam Link app to enable remote play streaming from my host gaming PC instead Phone connected to MHL to projector HDMI and remote gaming in my projector room
But nontheless i'm very intrigued at the Non MHL to HDMI concept an will give it a try someday out of curiosity
Thanks once again
