I have L09C432B560 then I installed kangB577. I download the rom from the link and flash this rom over kangB577. This rom is similar to stock rom without gapp and with chinese apps. However the rom is rooted. There is no Kang settings in this rom.

You need to get into twrp, full wipe and restore or flash your previous rom.

I fixed it!
If anyone tries to flash from 6.0 to 7.0 and it wont boot, do what i did //
Use EMUI Recovery to grab the latest running version and let that install if you can, and then update it to EMUI 5.0 on AL10
Then install TWRP on 5.0 (I used 3.0.2.0) from this thread = https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/twrp-3-0-2-0-mate-8-t3521215
After booting into TWRP on 7.0 the first thing i did was decrypt the data partition by going into Wipe -> Data -> Advanced and then changing it in the Change File System option from ext4 to ext2, and then back from 2 to 4.
It will take 20-30 mins to do going back to ext4, this is normal. then it is DONE
This allowed it to be wiped and decrypted for my AL10 model, otherwise you couldnt access the data partition properly. (And just wiping the data partition didnt work for some reason, not sure it just had errors.)
Then I flashed this rom and everything has gone smoothly since. Not a single worry at all in the world after that, no need to reflash any root privs or anything. Props to everyone for their software/firmwares respectively, I own none of this and am just saying how/what I did to get this working even after screwing it up.
If anyone accidentally flashes 7.0 over 6.0 and it wont boot, try this... ^^
EDIT - Changed, something I did didnt work the second time, fixed.

Some apps crash while navigating inside. Best example: Google Play Store, after clicking "read more" when showing app details. Other example: In Signal Messenger when entering a conversation.
I flashed Open Gapps Pico version.
Any suggestions?

I never flashed Gapps, i went into HiApp and installed the play store through there and then updated it, worked perfectly.
After i reinstalled the rom because of some errors with the camera i was getting i ended up having some problems with google play services but I just downloaded the latest online and installed it, been smooth since.
AND i can confirm, im not getting and "read more" crashes or Messenger crashes whatsoever. Sorry to hear about your problem! If it keeps happening try backing up data, reflashing the rom or flash stock first then reflash it and try installing google play store through HiApp.

I have a NXT-DL00 with a custom rom , rooted,TWRP etc... can I install your NXT-AL10 version?

Sorry! Updated.
I went and changed it from ext4 to ext2 which took only less than 1 min, and then from ext2 to ext4 which took about half an hour.
Then it worked!
(Sorry for the confusion)

If you try anyways, make sure you make a backup of your current rom before flashing and tell us what you did/results.
If its on a 6.0 rom you can follow the mini guide I had written, get yourself into EMUI 5.0 before you flash it. either by the official updater if you can by Restoring through the EMUI recovery back to stock and updating, or flashing an EMUI 5 rom and getting 3.0.2-0 twrp on there first.

Update : Been running this rom on EMUI 5.0 since release and it is super stable and amazing to run.
Been the best rom ive had on my Mate 8, definitely deserves some more attention. My battery life is about 15-25% better than emui 4.x and the phone doesnt have wakelock and app sleep problems for me at all compared to previous roms ive used.
We just need this rom with Kang VIP and it would be 110% sweet!
Waiting for a release of Xposed to come out so i can test and report back.

ive seen some users installing this rom over the latest kangvip, that way one has best of both worlds

Hi jbmc....how to do? You mean flash kang and then dirty flash HRT? How will have both functionalities?
Also, in OP it is not clear what to wipe and what not to...
"Card brush is not necessary after the success of double-clear, otherwise it may lead to ROOT failure"....what this means exactly?

There is a new hrt b584 version available , I saw it available on the Chinese website but don't have baidu

I do not want to hear anybody blaming me for a bricked phone.

*EDIT* I have changed my mind. I have taken a long time to setup my phone to be the way it is now and don't want to risk having to flash stock firmware again in order to fix a soft bricked phone, not that it usually worries me, it's just annoying trying to get everything perfect again (I don't rely on nandroid backups as even they aren't perfect_

I have been doing this for many years. I have goten to points of soft bricking where recovery is impossible to get in to and where I needed to enter download/bootloader modes. The only way to restore a nandroid is if I have backed it up to my computer beforehand, flashed a firmware in download/bootloader mode then re-root/unlock and flash a recovery again, transfer the nandroid to my device and hope the data has not been corrupted during the process between phone and computer. I have actually needed to do this several times and more than once the nandroid was not restorable.
MIUI V5
http://rom.miui.com/en/download/view/id/359370#top
I ended up flashing LEWA OS. Very fast and everything seems to be working fine for me. GPS is working better for me now than on stock, camera and HDR mode are great, speed is good. Wifi and Data is working flawlessly. Beautiful lockscreen and UI. All of the theming options seem to be working as well (for those familiar with MIUI etc.) The rom has a lot of visual tweaking and you can even kill the current running app by long pressing the back button *note* it does work, you just need to hold it for longer. You can also swipe in between the notifications and the switches tabs anywhere on the screen
The first time I flashed this it would not pass the boot animation. I ended up flashing B907 again and then running the bootloader unlock again (regardless of if I needed to or not) and then flashed the rom again. Step 1. Copy the LEWA rom zip and Gapps to your phone, then reboot in to recovery. 2. In TWRP; do an advanced wipe "cache, dalv, system, data" and then go to install and find the rom and install it. 3. reboot and make sure the rom loads all the way (do not bother setting up google account yet), once this happens reboot in to recovery again by holding power button and selecting reboot>recovery (inside of the rom this option is available), once you are there please install Gapps with TWRP, then reboot and enjoy.

If you look in the first post of my thread, you will see that MIUI is already listed but from a different download area and from a different author. If you scroll down you will actually find the file for Ascend Mate. I will tell you now though, the file name is the same as the P6 so I am assuming it is the same or they have used the P6 file and tweaked it. I am going to look at both files and give it a shot at running them today.
This is the file provided under the Huawei Ascend Mate

Text Tutorial
So here is the text tutorial of how to DUAL BOOT your Redmi 1S. :highfive:
PRE-REQUISITE
Here you need the files we need for this process and the links to these files are mentioned below
Backup of your ROM which you are using right now if you want it to use it after the dual boot process (Here MIUI 7 is backed up).
your Redmi 1S should be charged with at least 80% battery (NOT necessary but suggested).
Rooted Redmi 1S with TWRP installed.
The ROMs you want to dual boot and everything for that ROM.
Procedure:
Backup your present rom. (For eg. MIUI 7 ) using TWRP.
Now after backup in TWRP go to home ---> Click on Install ---> Navigate yourself where you have kept the downloaded files ---> Find HM1s-Sysrec.zip and flash it.
This will now delete your Internal memory and factory reset your present ROM. (So backup it before hand)
After flash phone will reboot into recovery mode. Now copy System-Menu-Data-HM1SWC in your Ext. as well as Internal storage. For this connect your device to your PC in recovery mode. Your device will get connected as MTP device. Now copy this file in both Internal as well as External storage.
Now Flash
Sysrem-Menu1.4.1-test.zip . Aroma installer will open. Then Click on English ---> Accept the terms ---> Enter The function ---> Install and Uninstall ---> Install dual system.
Now restore the ROM you backedup earlier.
After this Go to home ---> Again Flash this file ---> Again do all that ---> This time click on Install SystemChanger app ---> System1 ---> Check first option only if you are on MIUI ---> Next
After this flash UPDATE SUPERSU V2.46.zip
Now reboot to system.
When rebooted to system go to SuperSU and go to settings and click on enable SuperSU and after the process again click on it till it installs the SUPERSU again.
Press Home button.
Find the SystemChanger app. Open it ---> Click on Switching.
After a while phone will show Mi logo. Press Vol up+Power button. Phone will enter in recovery mode.
Flash the ROM you wanted in SYSTEM2.
After process Again flash Sysrem-Menu1.4.1-test.zip --->Do all that ---> Click on Install SystemChanger app ---> System2---> Check first option if it is MIUI else continue.
Root the ROM any how. (If you want to know how to root a specific ROM reply below)
Click on Reboot to System
The System will boot into System2.
Set it up.
After setting you will find SystemChanger app here too. Open it click on switching to boot into system1.
After the phone boots System 1 then congratulations.

MIUI works perfectly on system partition 1. Try installing it on Sys partition 1 and other rom on System Partition 2
"7. After this Go to home ---> Again Flash this file ---> Again do all that ---> This time click on Install SystemChanger app ---> System1 ---> Check first option only if you are on MIUI ---> Next"
tried many times but no luck, till i leave them uncheck and it works, yes it for miui v7 on 1st system partition
and it didnt devide the nand entirely, they still share the same /data partition including internal sdcard. so if 1 rom do factory reset or restoring /data the other rom will have /data partition erased, is there any solution?

1. make sure i have full backup system1
2. change to 2nd rom through the system changer app or the system changer installer
3. full wipe 2nd rom
4. go back to 1st system partition through system changer installer
5. restore /data
6. go back to 2nd system partition through system changer installer
7. install new rom
8. install system changer app
am i correct?

Bro you cant just criticize like that! You may encounter some problems but that doesnot mean its because of this methord. Im personally using it for over 1 month and too use snapchat, instagram, facebook, whatsapp on both roms (Not whatsapp as it can be installed on a single ROM only) but I didnt encountered any issue!
Please be sure what you are posting. You told a guy above also that the method is risky. He/She may now wint install. Please bro please.

[ROM] [B207] Simply Google M2 8.0 **Update 1/15/17**

Here is my stock based B207 rom, Simply Google. This is great for those of you who have a hard time getting the Google Apps to work and want some extra mods and features. You must have an unlocked bootloader and TWRP installed. This rom is tested on the M2-803L. Flashing it on other versions (801L, 802L) should work but you're flashing it at your own risk. All Google Apps you can download from the Play Store have been removed from the rom. I also heavily debloated it and removed a lot of Huawei apps. Please don't ask me to add anything in as I want to keep this rom slim. Open up Tablet Manager, hit the settings icon and uncheck Smart Tune-up if Permissions Manager force closes when you open it. Please hit the Thanks button if you like the ROM.
Features & Mods:
-AdAway
-Cust Mods
-Dark M2 Theme
-Deodexed
-GBoard
-Google Play Store, Google Contacts Sync
-Heavily Debloated
-Insecure boot.img
-Marshmallow Boot Animation
-Nova Launcher
-Region Mods
-SuperSU Preinstalled
Instructions:
1. OTA or Dload to B2xx first before flashing. The ROM will not boot if you're still on anything lower than B2xx
2. Download ROM and put it on the phone's internal storage or SDCard
3. Boot into TWRP recovery.
4. Performing a factory reset using TWRP is recommended.
5. Flash the ROM
6. Reboot System
7. Profit!

Many thanks! What a nice surprise. This seems to be the first custom rom for the m8.
Appears that it is for the 802l. Would it also work for the 801l?
At the moment I have 5.1 reverted to stock. BL unlocked.

It should work on both versions provided you update to stock B2xx first. After someone updates to B2xx on their 802L I need them to send me two things.
1) Their cust folder so I can integrate it into the rom.
2) Their system/emui folder. There should be a folder called oversea in there which I need to integrate into the rom.
Sorry, I don't have the b215 yet. There was no update to 6.0 till now and i can't find even a newer version for the 801l then the one attached.

The B215 update posted in one of these threads is for the 801L because when I flashed it I had no cellular data option at all.
Just tried to install the b019. But again it's a incompatible version. I guess it's because it's for the m2 803l.
Anyway, thanks for your help. I'll have to wait until until the official update hits my tab.
I tried with hisuite, but i have already the latest version available.
Hi. Thanks for the rom. I have 802l - b006 with unlock bootloader. Can I use your rom without updating to b219? I dont have any ota update that I can installl

No, things like wifi won't work unless you upgrade to B211 first. Hold off on flashing until I sort out the root issue. Systemless root causes freezes. I'm working on porting the kernel from the X2 so I can use regular root which will fix the freezing issues.
New build up. Fixed root causes freezing in apps.
Do you know where to get the b011? The b006 is the latest rom that I can find for my m2.

You're gonna have to wait until you get the OTA to B215. Then you can flash this rom.
Installed this last night after updating to B207 from the other thread. Works perfectly, thanks!!

Ok, many thanks for the links. I will uninstall xposed, then dirty flash and after the first boot install xposed again.
my 801w was detected during installation as 802l. Don't know if this is what's causing the trouble, but after installing via TWRP, coming from some b2xx official ROM, i'm stuck at the Huawei Bootscreen for about 10 minutes now. I know that the first start could take a lot of time, but this seems a bit unusual to me. I'll keep it watching for another 15-20 minutes and see if it boots up fine or is frozen in any way.
[Update] so it was stuck in a loop for sure. I tried flashing a clean b2xx from another thread, which booted fine, and dirty flashing your ROM over, but same behaviour. What actually DID work is flashing the boot.img from stock over your ROM, so keeping the other partitions from Simply Google Installation. At least it's booting up now, showing the proper Android Nougat loading screen. Let's see how it works out...

Thanks a ton for this! Worked awesome!
Since I went from stock 5.0.2 -> 5.1.1 ... I tried not wiping data and it seems everything still works fine! My apps, settings and data are all there =) ... so far w/o bugs.
I installed cyberian 7.1 camera(primary reason for my attempt at the upgrade) ... and seems to be working 100% w/o issue =)

An update, its still working amazingly bug free!!! (w/o data wipe)
Also, *I think* battery life has much improved ... but that may be because I wiped cache and also turned off Stamina mode after reading it sucks battery life rather than help it lol!
I did run into some battery level quirkiness within the first few days of install, but hoping it was just some learning curve the OS had to do w/ battery ... time will tell =)
I do have a question tho, just noticed you state the bootloader/recovery is "locked"? Does this overwrite my previous "unlocked" state and its relocked now? Or does an unlocked state persist? Thanks

No,this doesn't overwrite your unlocked bootloader. your unlocked state is persist. You can check by dialing *#*#7378423#*#* /Service info/Configuration/Rooting status:
Sad update, seems my phone has fallen victim to the "LP upgrade & damaged battery" coincidence =( ... I know its not a fault of ur ROM. Phone works fine from 100% to 50% then a 50% it rapidly drops to 1% and shuts off =/
That being said, ordered a replacement battery kit + back door + NFC tag. Hopefully normal battery functionality will be restored after its replaced =)
Seems to be a widespread problem =/ Its weird because I had LP 5.0.2 on it previously.
Battery replacement went well, back to full expected usage time!

Bro I have tried locked bootloader. But I think GenTarkin installed on unlocked bootloader successful. First you should flash stock.ftf and after go further as first post.
Dirty flash I love you dirty flash blahblahblah
Thanks for this, just what I needed without the hasle as Gen said I just flashed over the rom I was using (mx 8.5), wiped dalvik and that other thing but kept data and now my phones overheating has stopped, installed xposed and my tweaks reinstalled themselves... Because of the dirty flash some of the apps needed updating but apart from that its ask good... Nice one

Zip is updated with Xposed and SU 2.79

LG V500 Tablet - Nougat Upgrade Problem (Lineage File)

First off I'm no tech guru, so please provide as much detail as possible if you can so I can follow along... TIA!!
I am trying to upgrade my old LG V500 from KitKat 4.4.2 to Nougat.
I followed details in a video, by downloading the necessary files....
-Latest TWRP App (the APK)
https://dl.twrp.me/twrpapp/
-Latest TWRP Recovery for the v500
https://dl.twrp.me/v500/
-Stump Root
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g...
-LineageOS build for the v500
lineage-14.1-20180909-nightly-v500-signed.zip
I hit Install and selected the above Lineage file and swiped to confirm the flash in TWRP.
What I got was this error...
https://drive.google.com/file/d/12ZY3y9pNaRJxqWHuCJSEmyl5Xmn3CtXq/view?usp=sharing
Now I am confused on what to do. I don't want to lose my old 4.4.2 build since this upgrade didn't work.
I could really use some serious help on what steps I should take. My preference would be to upgrade this tablet, but if I have to revert back then so be it (but don't even know how to do that). Wondering if I did something wrong or this .zip file is just outdated, not sure what else 'Error 7' refers to, other than Error installing .zip file.
Any help would be appreciated!

Most likely that is the case, rom file is two years older than the recovery. You can either:
1. Install newer version of Lineage with that recovery: https://www.los-legacy.de/v500
2. Flash older version of TWRP first and then install that older Lineage, or some other rom (for example I have TWRP version 3.3.1-0 and Resurrection Remix N 5.8.5 FINAL which works flawlessly https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pad-83/development/testing-resurrection-remix-n-5-8-3-oms-t3601456)
Thx Indie Zex for the options.
My dilemma now is, how would I install this new Lineage with the recovery file, since I am still in TWRP?
Need help on what steps I need to follow to either exit out of TWRP to get the newer Lineage file.
I assume you can't load anything from the link you provided while I'm in TWRP....am I correct?
If I exit out of TWRP now, will I completely lose my original 4.4.2 (KitKat) build?

If I understand correctly, you are still in TWRP on your tablet right? If you performed full wipe of Dalvik Cache/Cache/System/Data (like you always should do before installing a new rom) then you can kiss your KitKat goodbye forever! If for some reason you didn't wipe anything, then in the main menu of TWRP you can select Reboot, then System and your tablet should (luckily) boot into KitKat. But lets say your tablet is wiped and you now have to install new rom:
1. On your computer download https://www.los-legacy.de/v500 and open gapps https://opengapps.org/ (ARM, 7.1, pico)
2. Connect your tablet with computer via usb cable and copy both rom and gapps to internal storage (Windows should see your tablet as a mass storage device no problem even if you're in TWRP and you have proper LG drivers installed)
3. Now on your tablet: from main menu go into Wipe, then Advanced Wipe, then on Select Partitions to Wipe page tick Dalvik Cache/Cache/System/Data and Swipe to Wipe
4. Back to main menu and select Install, then find rom from the internal storage, then Add more zips and find gapps and finally Swipe to confirm Flash
5. Once that's finished press Wipe Dalvik Cache/Cache and then Reboot
That should hopefully be it.
TY Indie Zex,
You understood correctly, and I did a full wipe of Dalvik Cache/Cache/System/Data. I was afraid you would say I lost my old 4.4.2., but I really just wanted some insurance to go back if things got messed up, which they did!
For the legacy OS, I assume I should be going with the very latest lineage file (2020-09-05 date)?
Question about Nougat vs Q or Pie - If I pick Nougat, is there a compatibility upgrade/update path via Nougat OS to get to Pie or Q, easily within the software just by selecting 'Update' option in the 'Settings'?
or if I ever want to add the latest Android OS like Pie or Q, I would have to again go thru the full swipe and re-load another ROM and the specific gapps for either Pie or Q.
I assume Q is still quite new and maybe buggy, but is Pie now very stable or still some unresolved issues? I know it might be difficult to answer, as there are always bugs in firmware version. Just trying to get a gauge for which would be safer to go with if I need to upgrade.
TY you again for being patient with a newbie

You always flash custom roms the same way in TWRP, you can not just update unfortunately. The next thing to pay attention to is to download correct version of gapps for Oreo or Pie roms (there are no Q roms for our tablet). You have probably seen this tutorial here for Pie https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pad-83/general/guide-tutorial-howto-lg-gpad-8-3-v500-t3967069. I have tried it as well as https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pad-83/development/rom-crdroid-android-t3772076 but they both have broken camera unfortunately. Everything else is basically fine, with Oreo having better performance.

Besides, if you were advised to install a very stable Nougat, why don't you try it first, before thinking about P and Q?

Yes, I did see the Pie tutorial and did read through it, the non-working camera was certainly something I did not want. Good to know you have Oreo running on yours, and better performance.
So do you suggest I load Oreo vs Nougat?
For Oreo would I select v8 or v8.1? and what variant?
I found this info...I was thinking of Micro or Mini, thoughts? Can the V500 handle the memory requirements for these?
Variant:
Aroma: Graphical installer of the super package while in recovery menu, it allows user to select which applications to install.
Super: Includes all Google Apps that were ever shipped on a Google device.
Stock: Recommended package that contains all Google Apps that come standard on latest Nexus/Pixel phone.
Full : Very similar to Stock version.
Mini : Smaller set of popular Google Apps with extra functionality.
Micro: Limited set of Google Apps with Gmail, Calendar Google Now with extra functionality.
Nano : Minimal installation with extra functionality.
Pico : Minimum with Google Play functionality. (Each package varies with file sizes and included Google Apps)
TY again, much appreciated!

There is only one version of Oreo for our tablet: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pad-83/development/rom-crdroid-android-t3772076. I have tried it, it runs nicely but camera DOES NOT work just like in Pie version (which is a little bit choppy for my taste).

I found this info...I was thinking of Micro or Mini, thoughts? Can the V500 handle the memory requirements for these?

I wouldn't go above micro, 2GB of ram is a little bit tight. But hey, if you like Google so much try and see how it runs.

So do you suggest I load Oreo vs Nougat?

Since you already have latest TWRP version installed, I suggest you go with latest lineage rom (2020-09-05) with gapps of your choice. For Oreo and other older roms you need to flash older TWRP version, such as above mentioned 3.3.1-0 (and please do not ask how ).
And finally I wanna say this: don't worry if you mess something up, you already have and you certainly will again . There is a wonderful world of flashing roms (and wasting your precious time ) ahead of you, so go boldly into the unknown! :fingers-crossed:

No, as a matter of fact I have Resurrection Remix N 5.8.5 FINAL installed on TWRP version 3.3.1-0.

I guess I misunderstood you earlier on which rom you where using, thought it was Oreo. Does the camera function with this Resurrection Remix N 5.8.5 FINAL? Based on the Variant list I posted, how would you categorize this rom?
I am intrigued, I thank you for the words of encouragement, just a bit intimidating this world, but I am willing to try!

Camera (and everything else) works on all Nougat (and earlier) roms. Differences between them come down to customization: for example Resurrection Remix N 5.8.5 FINAL and crDroid Android 4.7 offer more customization options compared to LineageOs, but are two years old. Latest Lineage, on the other hand, has literally last month security patches. And I suggest you install them all, one at a time

I followed your instructions...at least I'm pretty sure I did. lol
I got an install Error 20, it says to download the correct version for my rom 6.0.1
I went with the GAPPS file (ARM, 7.1, micro)
Does this mean I cannot use the micro variant?

Hm, the error suggests that you have 6.0.1 rom which you tried to flash with 7.1 gapps. Just in case, download older version twrp-3.3.1-0-v500.img and flash it in TWRP:
1. Copy twrp-3.3.1-0-v500.img from computer to internal storage of a tablet
2. In main menu of TWRP select Install, then Install Image
3. Choose twrp-3.3.1-0-v500.img and flash it (IMPORTANT: do not reboot right away!)
4. Go back to main menu then press Reboot and select Recovery
5. You will boot to recovery again, now the older version
6. Now flash rom ONLY (whichever Nougat variant you want) with standard described procedure (with wipe and everything) and reboot
7. Once you are in system, check it out and come back later into TWRP to install correct gapps (yes, you can use micro)

And let me know did you make it in about 8 hours, it's late here so I have to sleep

Hi Indie Zex,
I read your above instructions, but somewhat confused.
I looked for twrp-3.3.1-0-v500.img but can't seem to find it, has the file name changed?
I went to the link page you provided (below) for your Resurrection Remix build, and the Rom available there was RR-N-v5.8.5-20171001-v500-Final.zip
2. Flash older version of TWRP first and then install that older Lineage, or some other rom (for example I have TWRP version 3.3.1-0 and Resurrection Remix N 5.8.5 FINAL which works flawlessly https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-...3-oms-t3601456)

Yep, that is the "newest" one which I have installed. If download link is broken, you can get rom from here https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261778561

Before I try to flash my tablet with twrp-3.3.1-0-v500.img, what do I need to do with the lineage-14.1-20200905-UNOFFICIAL-v500.zip that I ran and is still in Internal storage. Can I just delete via my computer, or do I need to remove it thru TWRP?

If you don't need it anymore, you can delete it via computer. It doesn't really matter when you install .img file. When you select install image in main menu of TWRP you won't see any other files except for .img ones. Just make sure to reboot to recovery instead of reboot to system to continue with installing rom.

Great TY.
So from yesterday when my install failed, I just need some direction on what do I do to get out of this screen, please.
I have the option button to Wipe Cache/Dalvik or Reboot System.
Do I need to hit the Wipe button to remove the lineage-14.1-20200905-UNOFFICIAL-v500.zip? Or Wipe anything else?
Or do I just go back to the main menu for TWRP and install the twrp-3.3.1-0-v500.img and follow the rest of your instructions?
TY again.
