Map left key single tap - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Hi All,
I am currently using rooted version of open beta 12.
I want to customize single click on left hardware key for menu open/close.
Can anyone suggest how can I achieve it?
Regards

Thanks fuarkgl3,
I downloaded the app but it seems it will require a pro version to customize the key.
Any other work around will be appreciated.

You will have to buy it. Or go back to MM and use gravitybox.
Without xposed apps like buttonmapper seem to be the only solution on OOS.

I believe you can modify the keylayout file to achieve this, it's in /system/usr/keylayout. I'm running Resurrection remix and have a file called synaptics.kl in my directory which has 3 entries (app_switch virtual | wakeup | back virtual) which would lead me to believe that if you switch one to MENU VIRTUAL, it would assign that button to menu. I'm not too sure about the oxygen filesystem name for the file, but there should be one relatively similar. Alternatively, RR has the options to map all the hardware keys to whatever you want.

Assign actions to Menu/Back?

Anyone know of an app or method to assing actions to long press/double tap on menu and back buttons? I know it is in some ROMS, but don't have it in the ROM I'm experimenting with now.

Ok. I'll give it a try. I am a bit concerned, based on this quote from the Gravity Box thread:
Next thing, GB is a complex module and is not suitable for 1 purpose scenario. This means, if you are running custom ROM built from source (CM, PAC, ...), and you are missing a certain feature, your best option is to go ask creators of those ROMs to implement those additional features. Supplementing missing features on well-known custom ROMs built from source by installing xposed modules (especially complex ones) is definitely not a good way to go and can cause more trouble than good.

I'll post how it goes though.

[Q] Bug or Feature ?

Hi folks,
I'm not sure if found a bug or a feature ... however ... since the integration of SuperSU into any custom rom (CM 12 / Liquid Smooth / PA) based on Lollipop, I'm not able to install more then 8 apps alongside Google Play (sd-card / LAN / USB). Exactly after the 8th app installation the "install now" button isn't pressable anymore. The button is not grayed out or something, it simply doesn't react on pressing. Also when i use apps that needs root access, the question from SuperSU appears, but the "grant" button does not react after the 8th attempt. My internal card has 22 GB free, so that's not the cause i think. I've checked all the system security options for a suspect option, but i haven't found anything yet. Installations via Google Play works fine anyway. Under KK based roms there is no such a strange thing, and as i mentioned above, this was after the integration of SuperSU in LL based roms. Does anyone have an idea what it could be ? ...
sincerely,
LP

OK it's solved. Only deinstalling of Lux doesn't helped. I've installed the latest CM12 (from Today) and in addition the latest SuperSU (2.38). That's worked.
Thx a lot for yours help ! :victory:

Is the Z2 ever getting official Cyanogen support?

The Z1 did get it, any issues I don't know about? did the dev who was in charge of Ham switched to other devices?
I suggest you search before you post, I am running CM13 on my ZUK Z2 now.
The ROM is very stable and usable, it'll be official CM if wanted.

Usable but doesn't seem configurable, at least I didn't find the config UI.
So U-Touch is set to:
touch = back
swipe left = recent
swipe right = menu
press = home

it's possible to config, just need to edit the fcp*** keylayout file

Which Google Camera port should I use?

I have level 3 hardware support for camera2.
The problem is, the apk in the guide seems like an old version, but there are about 100 different APKs here
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-arnova8G2/#apk411
Which one should I use? Would be nice to know what to look for for future updates too
Thanks
Id like to know as well, the sheer amount of links on the GCam page is really confusing.
I'm using the MiMax version which works well but sadly the portrait mode doesn't and you need to turn off HDR+ to get the fron cam working
Try the cstark27 one of the best fit this device, front facing camera is about the only thing not working but don't do selfies so I am ok with that
Hass31's port was made for Daisy and is the most functional port available at the moment.

Yes but it is version 5 and has no night sight mode
Yet it still is the most functional one, lacking a gimmick feature that doesn't even work that well on this device isn't a huge deal.
Hi! I've update my MiA2Lite to Android 9 but now I don't find right version of GCam.. I tried many apk but everyone crashed when I start camera

you must unlock bootloader and enable camera2api or simpy root with magisk and install "camera2api enabler" module from the download section!!

Is that still the case after the Pie update?
I'm getting weird green artifacting sometimes
Now in pie i use arthur's latest version.
Everything is working and 5.3.15
There is no cera2api enabler in magisk download page. May be they removed it or what should i do to enable camera2 api?

After you've installed magisk
Download Root browser from play store
Open the Root browser
Go to the folder named "system" and open it
Scroll down to build.prop and click on it, open with Root browser text editor.
Scroll to the last line after the empty row press enter to start another row
Type 'persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1' without the quotations.
Press enter to move to another empty row
Them, press back and save changes
Now reboot your phone, you're good to go
Download pixelfy something like that

[SOLVED] Help on Android 12 [GSI] Pixel Experience [Alpha] and TWRP

Hi, I did some experiments with the GSI PIXEL EXPERIENCE ALPHA that might interest some developers.
It works properly as is on nairo (moto g 5g plus) except for a few things.
- TWRP recovery gets broken, i think we need a newer version for this phone to work with android 12.
- The audio doesn't get routed in any way (i've tried with apps) to the aux output (headset).
I would take care of this problems if i had knowledge, if anyone can help it's welcome for sure, thanks in advance!

Sure! I've used nonsense notch to create an overlay at 240 pixel from the left of the statusbar, it doesn't work on landscape mode but it's fine for me.
Idk if it works by just inserting it in /system/product/overlay and unzipping it and then maybe installing the apk(?) (Mine it's in a folder that's why i made a zip file)
Overlays are really tricky, i recommend following the guide for the module instead of doing this.
After installation you can go to dev options and under simulate screen cutout you can choose the one you created *DO NOT CHOOSE THE STOCK OPTIONS ON ANDROID 12 THEY WILL SOFTLOCK YOUR PHONE*
I will create a guide on the fixes for gsi roms with your audio tweaks and this one, thank you again, let me know if you succeed!
Again, you shoudl really create one yourself on the custom mode of this module https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/module-n3o-no-nonsense-notch-overlay.4226413/
I created a guide to install everything https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...s-nairo-and-some-post-install-tweaks.4364963/
