[ROM][7.1.2][Unofficial]Team OctOs Oct-N[kminilte] - Galaxy S5 Mini Android Development

Team OctOS is an Android Open-Source Project (AOSP) based ROM built from Google & LineageOS current 7.x.x source code. Previous builds 5.x.x - 6.x.x were built from the CyanogenMod platform. We started out as a small team of 8 building for the Galaxy S4 & over the years our team & ROM has become more than we ever expected!
Team OctOS was formed on a few core beliefs. The ROM had to be something we'd run, reliable, and customizable by the user from an AOSP-styled UI to the level of their desire.
Providing the user experience ability to range from the "vanilla AOSP" feel purist crave to that fully modified rabbit-hole time-sink craved by others, and everyone in between.
~In Grommish We Trust~
Well, for a long time I was trying to do some custom roms, finally I could make a pair, now I try to make others, I hope you like it, it's my first rom, regards

Nonsense. Additional settings a little, translation 50%. Do not pay attention, a pathetic copy of RR. (Google Translate)

Good job. I will def give this a try!

very nice job, i think this will be my new daily use rom, earlier i was on AospExtended 4.1, i didn't notice ant bugs today. will see what about the battery.

I tried fresh install but got stuck in boot loop,am back on my aicp but really want to try this out, given its Samsung history,s4 so any special tweaks for our s5 in particular? Am going to test out RR since Oleglukk really got me interested in how awesome it is..

I dont play games. Stability in all firmware is about the same. I decided to stay on XenonHD 7.1 for a few days, there is something in this firmware. RR I like a lot of settings, because of the lack of xposed I do not have many interesting buns in many ROMs. (Google Translate)

I also miss the lack of Xposed but on aicp I have all my audio mods and closest analogues to xposed.. what xposed mods are your favorites?

after few days, i can tell that battery consumption is wery high, i went from 100% to 87% in like 15 minutes on screen with gps, mobile data, bluetooth on

[ROM] Vanir + Commotio -- Angler

As most of you know, Vanir + Commotio supports about 100 devices and has been around 2012.
Since pretty much everyone on the team has an Angler, I thought why not post here.... And currently rock solid performance.
Support
Since we support around 100 devices, the only place to find official support is on our GooglePlus Community
Commotio + Vanir Features:
- We are a caf based ROM that shares many features with cyanogenmod
- However unlike cyanogenmod, we own features, optimizations, performance enchantments, scripts, and butter
- We also remove all tracking found in AOSP, google, and CM sources
Builds
We have a rolling nightly releases. There are usually 300+ nightlies a year, so you are never stuck on a stale ROM. I won't swear every nightly is perfect, so make sure you backup before flashing.
DHO's Server <-- Commotio Edition
Nuke's Server <-- Official Vanir
Gapps
- Vanir's Gapps are purpose built for Vanir and will work on any caf based ROM
- Your welcome to try others, but there will be no gapp related support.
Sources
Sources are always apt to change, for always correct info please see our manifest. We have NO closed source repos. What you see is simply what you get.

http://www.emccann.net/dho/3-Vanir-mirror/4-nighties/12-07-2015_M6_beta_may_brick_your_phone/
The more recent 6.0.1 nighties are stable. Only current known bug LTE is not working during phone calls, this was broken in 6.0.1 merge, but will be fixed
Now here's a name I haven't seen in a while!
Nice to see everyone on the 6p - it is a nice device.
Gotta give this a run!

Booted and everything ran really well.
But since it is encrypted I went back in and flashed Franco kernel r2. I couldn't get it to boot but I assume I did something wrong.
I tried both, just flashing kernel, and then tried flashing unSuperSU, flashing kernel and then SuperSU 2.61. Both ended in being stuck at commotio boot screen.
Am I flashing the wrong type of kernel?
I wrote this here hoping maybe some others could answer. But I know official support is in G+ community. Just thought this may be less commotio related and more custom kernel related as it pertains to ROM.
Thanks.
I know in the past with the Nexus 5, you couldn't flash a CAF based ROM with an AOSP kernel...does that apply here also?
I think Elemental X works on the official CM but I'm not sure.

Paranoid Android 7.1.0
About
This is a result of a pure Code Aurora Forums based project using extremely clean device tree with tons of debugging and hard work to make it stable. It uses the latest stable release of Lambda Kernel featuring the Linux Kernel 3.4.113.
Releases
Stable-only releases with over the air long-term support following our own rolling release model.

Notes
This by no meanings easy to do, so don't bother asking for every variant this device has.
This is a free software, you can copy and change whatever you'd like once you point out where it came from.
We're evaluating the official server support for it in a near future.
Credits
CyanogenMod for the device bring up and platform fixes.
Code Aurora Forums for the wonderful effort they put to make Android "libre".
Android File Host for supplying great hosting services for free.

The device tree is mixed with the onyx (Oneplus X) device tree for the CAF iteration. It seems pretty stable right now but in the post on my kernel thread it had major problems like crap performance, bluetooth, thermal control and camera not working. I fixed 'em all in these days of testing and it really feels great on daily usage.
Thank you.F320 .
Thanks Galatic!
Hi. I am not understand what I need to do?
I have LP Cloudy G3 firmware. TWP recovery.
Please tell me, what I need to do.
I've been waiting for this quite some time - thank you!
Did a quick install (clean wipe, ofc) with stock openGapps.
Results so far:
- Theme engine gives random force closes while/after the setup wizard
- Camera FC (might be faulty gapps, will check md5 and reflash)

I used opengapps, see http://opengapps.org/ (ARM, 6.0, Stock)
It looks like the included camera cannot be replaced by gapps for some reason and i still have this ROM's camera v2.0.002 "eng.galactic.SOMENUMBER". It always crashes when i try to open it.
EDIT: i'm blind, looked for "Camera", and found yours - Google Camera is "Kamera" for me.

The Paranoid concept is made to be minimal, so either use a minimal Gapps or don't use Gapps. The OpenGapps is not behaving well lately, flash Banks Gapps instead. The camera app is the CAF camera app, Snap is based on it by the way. Maybe the artwork team can get us some nice touches to the camera app.
The built-in browser app is CAF's browser based on Chromium and may FC on some languages.
//Edit: got it, wil use banks, if i have any other gapps problems
I found a major problem which is kind of hard to track down for me.
My device is connected but most of the apps think it is offline (Reddit Sync, Chrome, Google+, Messenger). If i search something in google now, it works and shows some search results. When i want to open a result i get a "your device is offline" message in chrome.
Tested with 2 different WIFI and mobile conenction
Can anybody verify this?
//Eddit 2: odd... now it seems to work. Will keep an eye on it. Thanks for this rom! :good:

[ROM] [7.1.2] jancokOS [OMS] [10/09/2017]

This is my first project in android development world, and i should say thank to OnePlus which make a very developing friendly phone that can encourage me to try developing my own ROM for my own phone. Huge thanks to LineageOS (Cyanogenmod) which is the first toward custom ROM development.
After all that background talking, now let's cut to the part of this ROM. ROM is build based on CAF and adding feature based from Paranoid Android, Dirty Unicorns, LineageOS and CypherOS.
Feature List:
1. Network speed indicator
2. Button customization
3. Battery style customization
4. Signature spoofing (microG support)
5. PA's color engine
6. PA's pocket lock and accidental touch
7. Substratum support

If you found a bug, take a logcat and post it here.
If you're too lazy go back to Touchwiz.
Just as simple as that.
