Supplied Earphones - LG G6 Accessories

The supplied earphones are white in my UK Platinum model!
The earbuds are a bit too big and don't fit very well in my left ear. I used crappy apple type earphones for my current phone and do not have any earbuds I can refit. What do you recommend is a good pair or earphones in UK that are very reasonably priced!

Soundmagic e10, the best and cheap.

Soundmagic e10 are superb!

I find the (presumably) same white earphones included with my 870DS to be fine, but the DAC doesn't normalise the sound. So volume levels are all over the place if files aren't normalised in advance (I only use flac files). So I use high quality bluetooth 4.1 earphones when on the go, and a high quality mini-jack to phono cable for playing through my hifi amp. Given the price of a dedicated hifi music player, such as the Pioneer XDP-300R, which has only a twin dac but includes a balanced output, or the Fiio X5, which has coaxial digital output but no dac, the G6 does an admirable job for the money.

I don't have much idea about sound, but i read somewhere at least 50ohms is required to feel the quad dac.your mentioned earbud Impedance is 46 Ohms.i have apple earpod.which is 45 ohms.
If anything wrong i said please enlighten me.
Btw thanx for the suggestion.

Not sure about the ohms but the sound quality from the e10's is really amazing, though the bundled earphones are better than expected to.

Yeah, i find the bundled earphones pretty damn good.
They look cheap as hell, excluding the braided cable, so i was sure they'll sound like ****. Was pleasantly surprised by them.

Any recommendations for earbud type, similar to the classic Apple earbuds?

quality of bundled earphones.

hey guys what do you feel about the sound quality of the bundled earphones. i feel they are really bad. so how does a creative ep-630 compare with it? also suggest other repalcements.
I agree with you. It is very bad. The EP-630 is certainly much better.
Brother I used creative in-ear's but currently I am using Skullcandy Titan and its really produce great sound.
I just love Skullcandy. Even it is repairable

what i hate hate mainly hate about the bundled earphones is the bass. it is spread out and not solid. so how is the bass of the skull candy earphone?
I think I cant able to make u understand that hows It's bass.
Just one word to say.
Aaawwwweeeeeeesssssooommee
Guys you're comparing absolutely different things XD it's a bundle and I wanna say they are pretty good for a bundle, for example when you're byuing a MP3 player in 99 cases out of 100 you can throw away bundle ears even not trying them, they're just to ensure that there IS sound from device XD
UPD and yeah, I prefer to use Cowon iAudio7 + Audiotechinca for music, not a cell phone )
senheiser CX 300 II
I got frankenphones now
cut off original earbuds, soldered in some Panasonic in-ear ones I had (which had the stupidest cable I've ever seen, but great sound quality), so I've got good phones and handsfree. It even doesn't look very bad if the cable is black and the speakers are white
I have some earphones from sony but works great! !!

Hi!
Does anyone use AKG K370 headsets with the i5800? I am looking for some high quality replacement of the bundles, but there are hints on the net that this model doesn't work well with some non-Apple and non-Blackberry headsets (unfortunately no info for Samsung ones).
I'm still giving Samsung credit for giving at least this good earphones, which imo aren't that bad. I compared them with Senheister CX300 and EP-830 and can say It's lacking bass, but is superior compared to headphones you usually (those huge non-in-ear headphones that you usually see in nokia phones..)
For the record, I've already RMA'd two EP-830's for being faulty
In my opinion bundled earphones are good.
Skull candy all day
Those headphones aren't perfect, but they aren't some cheappy earphones.
I listen about 30 minutes music a day and those are perfect for that use !
Problems with Zagg Smartbuds
I just bought a pair of Zagg Smartbuds to use with my I5801 as listed here: http://www.fommy.co.uk/view-full-pag...ts&skuno=87340
When I got them, they didn't work in the phone. They did work in every other 3.5 jacked device I had access to. After reading this forum (and others) I am wondering if the Galaxy Apollo has the same 3.5 jack as the Galaxy S.
I don't really want to spend $17 for the adapter only to find out that my phone has a different problem.
Can anyone confirm that the apollo has the same physical plug as the S?
See this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=713350
Thanks.
Very strange, I use my Beats by Dre with my SG3. Every earbuds i've tried are working
i too find the bundled ones good
i use them daily for about 1hr
I like it, much better than the ipod one and when I go running it never fall
They have a nice quality, imo.
I got a pair of earphones from dealextreme for 2 bucks and they do an amazingly good job, even compared to 10-15 $ ones

Sennheiser MM 550-X Travel Bluetooth Headset with Apt-X

So, I'm analyzing the info found on the internet and this headset seems to be pretty good. People praise the sound chip of SGS3 promising a really good sound. How good can it be? Could it at least be comparable with sound of Cowon products (I own J3)?
I checked the prices, seems like MM 550-X Travel costs half of SGS3 if not more. Pretty pricey...
Just prices differ a lot, check these out, the same product but prices are way too different:
333 EUR
423 EUR
On this page, one of the users complained that the volume level of MM 550-X is the same bad as MM 550 and he owns both headsets. He says that these headsets have too low maximum volume and it is not enjoyable to listen because of that.
I was checking the specs on the Sennheiser website.
I own three Sennheiser headphones myself, they all are sounding very good, loud and overall quality is excellent. So lets get into loudness specs to compare with the models I have:
Sennheiser HD 650: Sound pressure level (SPL) 103 dB
Sennheiser RS 180: Sound pressure level (SPL) 110 dB
Sennheiser MM 550-X Travel: Sound pressure level (SPL) 107 dB (at 1 mW, 1 kHz)
So, as I see by the numbers - the loudness is OK. At least the numbers of the headphones that I already have and use every day and my personal experience say that 107 dB is ENOUGH
I'm using these headphones with computers and media center and these have pretty good outputs, i rarely need to use the maximum output.
But what output via Bluetooth will SGS3 have? There were numbers of outputs including wired headphones, but what about Bluetooth?
How about these.....

love this headset and looking forward to trying it out with the sIII on the 30th, especially if you are an active person they dont shift off your head at all. Comfy too!
My dog ate my covers for the earpieces though and now the metal is not so comfy and i cant find the spares that came with them now! If anyone knows where i can buy any that'd be awesome!
UK based

Finally, headphones with official Galaxy volume/playback control - Sennheiser MM 30G

Sennheiser just announced @Ces a new line up of products, including MM 30G designed specifically for Samsung Galaxy phones. No more cheap ebay imitations or dealing with low sound quality of bundled earbuds
http://en-us.sennheiser.com/mm-30g
These one should have fully featured volume up/down and multifunction button for play/pause/call/GoogleNow. Also should have an enhanced bass sound and passive noise isolation.
A detailed review to follow once I get my hands on it
Wow. A quantum leap for Android headsets. I also looks like they've placed the controls/mic on a "ear plug cable" near one of the earplugs instead of placing it before the two cables split up?
"Price on request?" Is it that steep?

The mic built into in-line remote which is on one of the cables after the y-splitter, very typical for these types of headsets. You want to keep mic closer to your mouth so it picks up less noise. Placing it before the cable split will be too low, and you will have to lift it up and bring closer to your face every time you make a call.
Regarding the price, I'm sure it will be on par with other MM30 models. They probably don't have it listed officially yet (not even listed on amazon or anywhere else) because it was just announced at CES show today.

Senns guys told me it will be up for sale after CES, since for now it was just announced. My guess it will be the same as other MM30 models they offer, so you can look up how much it sells for on Amazon.

Edit: The controller of the Soul S Cable looks a lot like the Lunashops Android cable with remote, but in white.

I have a set of custom Samsung in-ears with oversized drivers and a bass reflex port. It's comparable to the Apple EarPods in termss of bass, and produces crystal clear sound overall, with the addition of the Android compatible in-line remote and mic!
Oh yes, and please change 'headphones' in the title to either 'IEM' or 'earphones'. At first I thought Sennheiser actually made Andorid compatible supra-aurals or circumaurals. Remember, earphones go in the ear, and headphones go over the head.

[Q] Which earphones?

Hey everybody,
actually I am using the Panasonic RP-HJE120E1K In-Ear earphones but having a lot of trouble with stopping music and/or the Google voice command search (please unlock your device). I looked this problem up and there seems to be a problem with the stereo jack.
So, can anyone tell me which model I can use without issue? or maybe disable this function?
Thanks
Stephan

i am using this since a year, it delivers awesome bass with proper levels of treble. and yeah those are sturdy as rock!
SoundMagic ES-18 is a great buy. Punchy but non-destructive bass and good highs and mids.
Creative EP-630 - Been around for 8 years and still going strong. It's the one I am using at present. A good bang for buck till the arrival of ES-18.
Sennheisser CX-180 Street II is another great choice but not as economical as others.
I have tried couple of Skullcandy in-ears. But all of those died within an year.
My Pick : SoundMagic ES-18

Great set of earbuds to pair with your HTC 10

So since we didn't receive any Hi-Res earbuds in the US I was looking for some that sounded great without breaking the bank and I think I found a winner. For only $26 you can't beat the quality. I ordered mine directly from the mi.com website to ensure I didn't get some fakes. They have dual drivers also just like the HTC 10 and sound better than my beats urbeats for sure. http://www.mi.com/en/headphonespro/

Yeah I agree in term of bang for bux xiaomi is hard to beat.
KZ Ates are very very good with the 10 and for only 9$ delivered free with aliexpress it's crazy not to buy them.
The bundled Hi-res earphones are slightly better in terms of soundstage but a bit too much on treble side, the KZ Ates are more balanced but with an emphasis to bass though without making shades over other channels, they have a great amount of details too.
They have a memory wire perfect for sports
I've got Xiaomi Piston 2s and yes, Xiaomi makes the best price to performance earbuds on the market. I lose earbuds quite a bit, this is my second pair of Piston 2s, and I had 2 pairs of Piston 1s as well. Hopefully I don't lose these, but when I inevitably do I'll grab the new ones.
Hard to argue with xiamois price to performance. But a dynamic + BA hybrid is hard to come by for <100. Might have to try these out.
