OEM Keyboard - Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Accessories

I bought the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the OEM keyboard. I noticed that in order to use the back camera you have to remove the tablet from the case.
Why did you not punch a hole through the case Samsung?
Samsung even built an indent into the case for the camera lens, has anyone tried to punch the indent out so the camera can be used with the tablet still in the case?

Safe to punch / cut a hole in the back
You should be good puching a hole. There is no electronics in the back (I have cut mine along the spine to fit only the keyboard part into another cover - and it works beautifully).

Covertec case - mini review

My Covertec case arrived yesterday. My mini-review therefore follows.
Postage was swift directly from Covertec and the order tracking excellent.
The case seems well put together with high quality leather and good stitching. Exec fits nice and snugly and is held in by sliding the keyboard in to a plastic cover. This isn't what I wanted but in practice seems to work quite well and the keyboard still feels the same to me.
It is held closed by a strong magnetic clip and the front clear window is really useful for seeing who is calling. I used to keep the phone in PDA mode but now phone mode seems more appropriate.
There are holes for the answer buttons, power button (recessed), camera and phone speaker and headphone socket. The speakers, camera and voice button are also accessible. The case has to be opened though for charging as the power input is covered. A belt clip and mount is provided separately but I haven't fitted it yet.
Unlike the Krusell case, the front panel isn't designed for using the Exec as a PDA, but simply so you can see who is calling. The rest of the screen is covered by the strap and the navigation-pad is totally covered.
Unlike the Pielframe case it has the window to view who is calling. Doesn't have the leather strip over the bottom of the keyboard but doesn't have a hole for the charging socket.
All in all I'm really really pleased with it. I now keep the Exec in phone mode and find it totally usable for calls without opening the case - although I feel even more of a dork holding it up to me ear than I did before... <G>

Samsung Vibrant Galaxy S Leather Flip Case

I just bought this http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320574955314&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT . Customer service was good and shipping was fast. The case has a plastic holder in it which holds the phone perfectly and is clip out and clip back in. The leather itself is good quality imo even when I bend it all the way back, it never made a crease so far. Has a magnet at top to hold the case together and has all the usb ect accessible with it closed up. Fits vibrant perfectly. They even sell ones with designs on them in their store.
Does the magnet interferes with the normal functioning of the digital compass?

[Q] Flip cases, how do you use them?

Been looking at the genuine flip case and some other leather ones, both side and bottom flip action.
Question is, how do you actully hold the phone to speak into it with such a case attached, I assume you have to fold the cover back out of the way. Aren't they awkward?
No. Simply fold the cover closed while on a call. Your face grease won't get on the screen and there is a speaker hole for listening. Also, no accidental face keypresses.
It's awesome, IMO.
So that's why they leave that little slit in front of the cover! *facepalm*
I really need to get one...

Ahh, I see, of course.
Okay, another question. with such a flip cover, is it still possible to use with a gel/tpu style cover over the rear - would assume it would interfere with the 'spine' of the cover - could adapt it I suppose.
The note 2 is a bit slippery "as is" so I like my flip cover. It protects front and back and also works as a stand. I fold the cover behind when playing with the phone so its not in the way. For photos I hold it horizontally so the flap hangs below.
For making phone calls I use the bundled headset. I thought getting a Note 2 would be a good excuse to save my brain from hours on the phone and it is just too big to hold to your head. And, if you use a headset you can multitask.

Clear Gel case with added Pop Socket

As you may know, the Pop-socket knobs don't stick to the Mi Max 2 very well. I've found a solution to this. I took a clear Gel case, heated a metal washer the same size as the camera opening, and melted a hole UNDER the camera hole, pulled the pop socket apart, put the pop socket base on the INSIDE of the case and reattached the knob on the OUTSIDE, and put the completed case back on the phone. It works GREAT and makes the behemoth (with LOVE) Phone perfect for one-handed operation! Found the gel case on eBay for $10 and some change. I'll try to include a link. AFTERTHOUGHT: Place the hole lower than I did so you don't have to trim off part of the Pop-socket base.

Modding Samsung keyboard case

Has anyone tried to modify or take apart the official samsung keyboard cases? for example cut out the area over the camera so it can stay on to take photos, or even removing the keyboard part from the rest of the case and attaching it to a different case that protects the tablet better? i have no idea if there are any circuits in the bck part or anything that can break the keyboard?
