Firmware - Please - Moto G5S Questions & Answers

Good afternoon everyone.
Does anyone have the XT1792 (G5S) firmware file other than this one below?
Moto G5s XT1792-DS MONTANA_NPP26.102-16_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml
Why this is giving boot.img error!
It gives an error and says that it must be a version equal to or higher than the one on the device.

Hi, I found a firmware on this site > https://www.stockrom.net/2017/10/st...a-moto-g5-s-montana-android-7-1-1-nougat.html
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=962021903579481964

I also need a firmware, but for XT1794 from Germany. I ****ed up boot.img and did not make a backup...
Would be nice if anyone could dump his boot.img
adb shell
dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/boot of=/sdcard/boot_bak.img

OK, looks like the FW from above works also on the XT1794, just make sure you flash with mfastboot, not fastboot.

What's the différence between mfastboot and fastboot? All the time I try mfastboot, it doesn't work.

Have you copied the recovery.img file in platform-tools directory??
OR
Try:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery "C:/full/path/to/recovery.img"

That's all I have tried

[Report] FreeXperiaProject Lollipop builds

So, I tested all available buils in FXP blog. Guess what, none of them worked, they all get bootloop.
The method I used was using this commands in same folder of build files:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
I think this is pretty much the end of T3 development
Hope I get a new phone soon
have you flash the new bootloader ? it's the only way to boot !

Yes. You need to install a custom boot logo with the following command:
Code:
fastboot flash logo <FILE>.bin
You can get boot logos for our device here:

Thank you. I have 2 question, if you could answer these that would be of great help.
1) is there any way to bring the phone back in warranty?
2) I installed the russian firmware and if i wish to install Indian firmware, any idea where can i get it? i searched almost everywhere but couldnt find it.
version is npn25.137-15-2
First of all, this thread is in the wrong section. This section is for development only, and you're not developing anything here. Move this thread to the General Q&A section.
Second, you didn't read the post I linked. The second link has 2 links for repositories with many factory images. Since I'm in a good mood, here's one with many choices for you: https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/addison/official/

You have done something wrong. This method is working 100%. Explain the error. Which build you are trying to flash...?
I am using the stock XT1681-XT1683_POTTER_BRASIL_latam_MEXICO (NPNS25.137-15) and following all the commands and in the end returns the message (still requires signed boot.img) will it be due to my device being Brazilian?
I get same error on my EU Version.
everything works perfectly in indian variant
1.download the brazillian variant of stock rom
2.follow these steps
3.flash whole stock rom using commands posted.
4.you will get ota as soon as you start device

In fact this is not a bug, but a bootloader requirement to flash a signed system image, I think!

Moto g6 forge (XT1922-9) bricked

okay so i am pretty new still to flashing firmwares and using fastboot in general. I have the cricket version of the moto g6 play (forge) and noticed that i could not unlock the bootloader through moto's website . i noticed that the model number for the cricket version of the xt1922-9 was the same as the retail version from motorola . which on the website says has the ability to unlock . so i tried to flash the stock retail firmware for the retail and the most update verision being android pie XT1922-9_JETER_RETUS_9.0_PPPS29.118-68-3_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip and ended up flashing everything succesfully other than the boot.img and all of the system.img files and when i try and reboot the phone to recovery it says failed to pass validation back to fastboot . and the baseband section in fastboot now says not found . can someone help me with how i can flash all the correct files so i can get the phone just to boot up again.
You flashed everything except the boot.img and the system.img files?? That means you mixed up two FWs on one device...
Try flashing this FW for jeter_cricket from mirrors.lolinet.com

Sorry it takes me so long to reply . Most of my tinkering time is eaten up with my other phone I have that just so happens to be the only model variant that can't unlock its boot loader hence no root or twrp ... :/
But anyway yeah I'm gonna try the tool and paste those lines of fast boot code for you. One sec.
