You will have noticed you can't 'fastboot boot' the recovery image again for rooting or using the new recovery image.
However:
You can use flashrec to flash the patched recovery, from where you can do all the usual stuff (and even put the old hboot back on if you want!)
Notice:
flashrec is using an exploit that isn't patched yet in the current kernel used by HTC, however if/when HTC patches this, flashrec will stop working.
So for now it's ok but a next version might have patched this, so keep this in mind !

Quick Howto:
1. On your phone, goto Settings, Applications, and make sure Unknown source is checked ON.
2. On your phone, goto Settings, SD card and phone storage, and click Unmount SD card.
3. Then click Format SD card (it should automatically remount after this).
4. Plug the phone into the compuer via USB, then pull down the notification bar and click on the SD card notification. Then click mount.
5. Download this APK and recovery image and save it to your computer:
flashrec-20090815.apk
Cyanogen’s / Modaco Hero Recovery Image
Update: updated flashrec here
6. Extract the cm-hero-recovery.img out of the MoDaCoPatchedRecovery-1.0.zip and put it somewhere on your computer.
7. Save both the cm-hero-recovery.img and the flashrec-20090815.apk to your computer, then copy them both to your SD card
(do NOT put them inside any folders on the SD card, just put them in the root of the SD card itself).
8. Unplug the phone from the computer once they are downloaded to the SD card.
9. Goto the Market and download Linda File Manager or any file manager program if you do not already have one.
10. Open the file manager and goto SDCard and then find the flashrec-20090815.apk file and click on it.
If asked, tell it to use Package Installer to open it. It should automatically install the apk.
11. Open the FlashRec program and click on Backup Recovery Image and wait for it to finish.
12. Once done, click on the empty text box in the FlashRec program and type:
sdcard/cm-hero-recovery.img
Then click on the Flash Custom Recovery Image button and wait for it to finish.
13. Turn off the phone and turn it on into Recovery mode by holding down Home and Power to turn it on
(keep holding until the recovery screen comes up has a bunch of text on a black background).
As long as that screen comes up, you have done it correctly and can now go and load other ROM/hboot/whatever.

I flashed the new official update from HTC, but i do got a nandroid from before when my phone was rooted, do you know if restoring that will make any changes to the hboot? And will i get root again? Or is this method that you posted over, the only way so far?

you have uploaded the recovery image by that apk, be sure to boot your phone holding POWER+HOME NOT power+back, then you can continue to root your phone, hope i could help you

When I followed the instructions, everything worked, until I have to restart with Home button pressed.

It met with difficulties of Camera problem when was trying to fix it. In the mean time I experimented with several other Rom that has the same board features of MicroMax Canvas 4 -A210. Though many of them are booting but they had one or other problems. Then I copied the required ediiting by copying and pasting in the stock rom to make the phone booting with all its stock performance. All these days, most of them might have used to do with the stock version, I retained the stock version and build the ROM in the other way round.
The Rom is up loaded to Google Drive and the url is given.
TUTORIAL:
PLEASE BACK UP / PERFORM NANDROID BACKUP YOUR ROM BEFORE FLASING THIS ROM FOR SAFTY
Some time you loose your IMEI, kindly back it up using the Mobileuncle mtk tool.
1. If you are not used for Smart Phone Flash Tool(SPFT), then you can directly flash using the flash tool facility provided in the phone. Put off your Phone. Wait for about half or one minute or till the phone vibrates. Hold simultaneously the Volume up/down button and Power button and touch the home touch key. Then the phone displays two option.
Recovery Mode - Volume up
Factory mode - Volume down
Press the volume up and 3 option will pop up and in the middle you can find the Fastboot Mode. Pressing volume down you can get into the Fastboot Mode. Now open the folder "direct cwm flash 5.5.0.4" and double click on the file "fastboot flash.bat". Now you have installed the CWM Recovery 5.5.0.4 into your phone.
2. If you are on stock version of the ROM or in custom ROM, just copy the XXXmicMAX.zip file into your external sdcard.
3. As the rom is only partially rooted it is necessary to Root the phone externally. I will upload a rooted version in couple of days. To Root the phone I have provided the UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.65.zip. Copy this file to your external Sd card.
4.By pressing volume up/down, power and touching the home key get into the CWM recovery mode.
I. Choose install zip from sd card and then choose zip from sd card. Select the zip file XXXmicMAX.zip file you have just coped and install it. Wait for about a minute or two.
2. After the Update is completed again you go to the file UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.65.zip and install.
3. After installation of these two file you reboot your phone.
The phone will boot with screen showing Android is updating.
Enjoy.

Dear brother,
You install it and see the functioning. Even I have installed the Xposed Installer in my personal phone. Install and enjoy.
I already informed. I copied many required files into the stock files to make it working with the trial and error procedure. Just put some files into the bin, some files into the lib, some files into the vender some file into Xbin and experimented. It is simple copy and past that suits to the system of the phone to get the boot and stock performance. We can not say the the stock performance is all that bad. You can install camera FV-5 also which i have in my personal phone.
Just give me some ideas to improve. I have not beatified my presentation which is not important.
Please suggest some improvements to increase the performance. The battary drain has stopped to about 30% in my phone. But it depends on individual usage. I am only a learner in this game and as a hobby I pass my time peacefully.

If you feel difficulties in rooting the phone the you can use the file provided below:
Procidure:
1. Go to system settings
2. On the display, open -"About Phone"
3. On the display touch 7 times the "Build number" till you get a pop up of you are a developer
4. Then go return back to settings.
5. Open the developer option Tick "Stay awake, USB debugging" and untick Verify apps"
6. Now open up the 7z.zip folder " Micromax Rooter", and take the rooter folder you find inside to your desk top, open and double click the run.bat. Your phone auto boot wit the display of Android is updating.
If you want to enter the CWM recovery without using the buttons from your phone the open the zip file below: And double click the adb Recovery.bat.

Here's all you need :
- Recovery.img+le Scatter File (For POP S7 ONLY) : http://d-h.st/BPN (You can try it on Vodafone Smart4Power but backup your phone first !)
- Root_KitKat_4.4.zip : http://d-h.st/vkQ
- MTK Driver_Auto_Installer_v1.1236.00 : http://d-h.st/p3m

How to flash :
0- Copy "Root_Kitkat_4.4.zip" in your SD card.
1- Make sure you have USB debug option checked (in settings/developpers options).
2- Open and install the MTK Auto-Drivers
3- Turn off your phone and connect it to your computer (this will load up the MTK drivers).
4- Remove your phone from computer and make sure its turned off
5- Make sure you have extract "SP Flash Tools" and "recovery.img+scatter.zip"
6- Run SP Flash Tools AS ADMIN
7- Click on "scatter-loading" and select "MT6582_Android_scatter_emmc.txt " from the previously extracted "recovery.img+scatter.zip"
8- Check "RECOVERY" box ONLY, double click on the empty green space on this line and select the file "recoveryCWM__Alcat_POP_S7.img"
9- Click the "Download" button
10- Connect the phone (make sure it was turned off)
You'll see a red line loading and then a yellow line loading. At the end, you will see a green circle saying "OK" !
Congratulation, you have installed the CWM Recovery !
Now, let's root it :
11- Remove the USB cable
12- Turn on you phone by holding VOL+ and POWER button - You will enter the CWM recovery !
13- Select "install zip from SD Card"
14- Select the file "Root_KitKat_4.4.zip" and confirm its installation.
15- Select "reboot to system now"
Your device is now rooted ! Congratulations !

About OTA Updates
Alcatel released one more OTA update, you can't flash it directly.
However, here is the .zip (http://d-h.st/Dcc) update 0003 for PopS7, i flashed it with CWM !
It didn't first work because i deoxeded my phone, so i flashed system.img back and it worked.
Warning : This will flash a new recovery, you can flash CWM again using SP Flash Tools.
You can try this EXPERIMENTAL .zip with no recovery flashing (didn't test it) : http://d-h.st/9NSA
They updated some libs (like camera) and some system apps.

I doubt it would be anytime soon but I would very much like to see cyanogenmod 11 for this phone.
I don't know about android 5.0 and we don't yet have any custom rom !
I think, there will be problems while porting rom because there are only a few mt6582 phones with LTE support... There's a CM11 build for mt6589 but we are far from getting it in our PopS7.
MTK devices are becoming more customisable with time! This is a good point !

@Andrei221 , i don't really understand what you mean. Porting android L ? We didn't port any rom to it yet ! You can start working on something if you want but i think our chipset is a bit different than classir MT6582 because it has 4G LTE support !

Hi @vickdu31 . Thank you for re-uploading the links. I`m trying to backup my stock rom from Vodafone. I created the scatter file with MTK Droid Tools. I want to get boot.img and recovery.img but they are 20 MB the both. When i try to create CWM recovery with MTK Droid Tools, loading the files boot.img and recovery.img in right log it says :
- Boot kernel version =3.4.67
It is created: C:\Users\Bogdan\Downloads\mtkd\MtkDroidTools\recovery\vvff_boot_patched_141130-123050.img

Now when i try to flash the cwm recovery image it says : pmt changed for the rom it must be downloaded. Do you know why? I dont understand what that means.

What is that error? I had prepare blocks for Flash Tool and its copied everything.
Stock recovery is 20mb but the custom recovery is 6.xx mb this is normal. Partition size is 20mb but you can flash the cwm anyway ! You need a scatter that end with ...emmc.txt

This OTA update apply only on the alcated.
Try to rename the file update.zip and you can also try the other file and rename it too.
Maybe each phone needs his own update.zip from OTA, i don't know !

Hi! I have done exactly as in the video, the same method with mtk droid tools, i had installed pdanet drivers, read blocks and created the scatter file, i`ve made the cwm, but when i try to download with sp flash tools it says:

In this guide, I will share step by step details for successful debranding to BLN-L21C432 variant. I used BLN-L22C675B350 model for debranding. This guide will work 100% if followed correctly. This was tested myself last night.
Old version - BLN-L22C675B350
New version- BLN-L21C432B360
NOTE- NFC will not work. I tried few work around but couldn't get this working. So, if your only motive to use BLN-L21 model is NFC, you can avoid debranding.
Refer to my original guide if you wish to debrand to BLN-L22 Indian variant.
Let me share, almost full proof, detailed steps to debrand.
Prerequisites-
Have a full TWRP backup on your current model and store on PC/SD card.
Files for the new model (BLN-L21 variant)
Memory card with at least 8 GB space.
Firmware finder tool to get the files (preferable on PC)
Huawei multi tool
Working PC and of course, Honor 6X
Most important- PATIENCE. Do not panic. It will take max 2 hours including downloads, backup, restore, flash etc. (may vary depend on your download speed) It took me 7 hours of effort last night to debrand and then restore back to Indian variant. (TWRP wont work for restore)

Steps-
Unlocking bootloader/rooting and MT tool instalaltion-
Unlock your bootloader, flash custom recovery and root it with this https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/how-to/root-huawei-honor-6x-install-twrp-t3671822
Backup backup backup your current phone in TWRP.
Installation of Tool installation and backing up current OEM Info file-
Download Huawei Multi Tool from this XDA thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/development/tool-huawei-multi-tool-team-mt-t3523923 , direct download link https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=19002#downloads select V7 zip, extract it and go to the folder.
Run by double clicking the bat file as below

Once the tool is running you will see the device connected as below (It will show your phone’s serial number)
Follow step by step images below to backup your current oeminfo file (path of the backup is the folder where you ran the bat file above\backup) in my case it was C:\Users\Downloads\Compressed\Huawei_Multi-Tool_by_Team_MT_v7\Huawei_Multi-Tool_by_Team_MT\Backup
Changing vendor/country- input 7
Selecting device- input 6X or 6x
Save or restore OEMINFO - input 1
Saving OEMINFO- input 1
Confirmation screen for saving the OEM INFO File.
Just make a copy of this file to some other folder, as same folder will be used for a new oeminfo file for new model.
Till now, we have just backed up ourselves so that in case we run into a situation where unbale to boot further or stuck, this will be handy to restore.
Let’s proceed with actual rebranding now.
Extract the Main zip file, you will get 3 files as below, copy all of them to SD card/ External memory card under “dload” folder.
Extract the Data file zip, you will get 3 files as below, copy all of them to SD card/ External memory card under “dload-data” folder.
Rename the downloaded oeminfo file to oeminfo: BLN-L21C432-oeminfo.zip -->> oeminfo.zip
Copy the OEFMINFO.zip file to backup folder of Multi tool where you backed up the original oeminfo of your earlier model. (above path - C:\Users\Downloads\Compressed\Huawei_Multi-Tool_by_Team_MT_v7\Huawei_Multi-Tool_by_Team_MT\Backup)
Run the Huawei multi tool again same as above but this time, instead of backup of oeminfo, it will be option 2 to restore the file. Progress and status will be similar to
It should show the progress and confirm the download/restore complete. If this is failed, PELASE DO NOT PROCEED FURTHER and ask in comment section below.
Once OEMINFO restore is successful, you have the oeminfo of new version flashed on your model.
Now reboot the phone. Most probably it will give a prompt as your data partition was damaged and need format to repair. Just do it.
Once format is completed, boot to system. At this point, phone will ask for setup, just skip all the steps and you will see BLN-L21 during setup itself.
At this point, if you check the about phone setting, it will show BLN-L21 but build number will be NRD90M-test-keys.
Enable USB debugging again, boot to fastboot and unlock the bootloader if it shows locked.
Boot normally. Then again boot to fastboot and flash TWRP as earlier.
Remove the USB and Power off the phone by pressing power key now.
Use Volume up+power key to boot to TWRP. Flash the data zip - update_data_full_BLN-L21_hw_eu.zip . This will succeed.
Once flashed, boot normally. This time you will see BLN-L21C432B360 in about phone.
Power off the phone and now use dload method now i.e. press Volume up + Volume down+ Power key together. Stock recovery should start flashing the files (Note- Do not just put the Update.app in dload and need all 3 files mentioned above)
Phone will verify the package and start installation. It will take only 2-3 minutes for 100% flash and phone will reboot.
If you see updater, file manager missing from settings, or unable to use themes boot to fastboot, flash TWRP. boot to TWRP and then reflash the update_data_full_BLN-L21_hw_eu.zip file and boot to system. Everything should be working fine.
Press power key to turn off the phone.
Take out the memory card and delete dload folder or rename to “dload-main”.
Rename the folder “dload-data” to dload.
Insert the SD card.
Use dload method now i.e. press Volume up + Volume down+ Power key together. Stock recovery should start flashing the files (Note- Do not just put the Update.app in dload and need all 5 files mentioned above)
This will take 30-40 seconds maximum to flash.
Once this is flashed, phone will reboot and ask you to set up the phone.
You may skip the google account setup during all initial configuration is by skipping Wi-Fi and removing the SIM card. It will not ask for Google account.
Follow the on screen instruction and Setup the phone.
BINGO. You are on BLN-L21 now and it will support everything the regional phone supports.
I personally faced many issues and damaged my data partition few times but I am writing this guide without those steps which could cause issue and as mentioned, do not panic and proceed step by step and you would achieve what you wished for. Comment below on your experience and share if any modification is needed to the guide, I will do, but as per my knowledge, this is what I could prepare best for any NOOB user who doesn’t even know what root or anything is.
Share your thoughts on guide and ask any question when you stuck.
Note-
This was tested from BLN-L22C675 to BLN-L22C432
This may work from any model/variant to BLN-L22C432 (most probably without any issues)
This should work for all BLL models as well, because there are no restriction on Hardware part.
You will recieve OTA updates as I received couple of updates post debranding from B360 to B365 and then B367

Good luck. Will wait for feedback. Only issue you may face is for data partition but should be able to do if followed the guide correctly. I tried few trial and error and shared only working scenario.

Format it and it will boot to TWRP on its own. or go to fastboot mode, unlock the BL and reboot, it will go to TWRP. Follow rest of the guide.
The VERSION.mbn file is missing from update.zip

Try the file via dload. For me TWRP worked and thats what I mentioned in guide may be some issue with yours and you are not able to flash.

And install the official rm from rom dload file and it was my fault you had written the dloadd file name by mistake

Hello Guys today we are going to see how to unlock the bootloader of realme 5pro and installation of TWRP and Custom Roms
PROCESS OF UNLOCKING THE BOOTLOADER
1. Download all the files given in the below link in pc and keep in one folder

2. Copy the in depth apk file in phone and install as normal apk
3. Open the apk click on submit application and wait for 10 to 15min
4. Next once it shows success in that app goto settings then developer options and turn on usb debugging
5. Then in pc first install adb-setup-1.4.3
6. Then copy this minimal_adb_fastboot_1.4.3_portable zip file in one folder then extract the zip file
7. After completing of extraction copy the twrp and vbmeta files both into the minimal_adb_fastboot_1.4.3_portable extracted folder
8. Next connect your mobile to pc and you can see command prompt here in that folder it will open cmd prompt there type “fastboot devices” and press enter to verify that your device is being detected
9. In CMD type- “fastboot flashing unlock” and press enter to unlock the bootloader.
10. Now on phone, a message like in below image will appear. In phone select the “unlock the bootloader” menu by pressing the volume button down and then press the “power button” to finally unlock the bootloader of phone.
11. After pressing the power button your phone will boot into Color OS by wiping phone and bootloader is now unlocked.
your device is successfully unlocked boot-loader
STEPS TO INSTALL TWRP RECOVERY
1. Power off the phone then press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button with POWER button for 3 seconds and your phone will be booted into bootloader mode.
2. Open the same minimal_adb_fastboot_1.4.3_portable zip extracted folder
3. In cmd command prompt type fastboot devices
4. Copy the command and paste in the cmd fastboot flash recovery twrp_RMX1971-3.1.1.img
5. Done now in phone press volume up or down button to goto recovery.
STEPS TO FLASH CUSTOM ROMS
1. Copy the full ozip file of realme ui c.05 or other build in sdcard for safety if any issues occur we can go back to realme ui and can try again later
2. Copy the downloaded rom in sdcard in one folder along with gapps
3. Next boot in twrp and goto wipe section then select “system” “data” “vendor” cache” devlink” and swipe to wipe
4. Once that is done, tap on back and goto main page of twrp
5. Tap on install and select sdcard as location and select the rom file and flash
6. Once flashing bar completed tap on reboot to system
7. If device is in boot loop hold the volume down button it will take to twrp. There in twrp tap on wipe then tap on format data and type YES then once done tap on reboot system hola you are in custom rom
IF DEVICE STUCK ON BOOT IMAGE DESTROED DON’T PANIC USE BELOW COMMAND
“fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img”
Again device in bootloop flash permisssiver zip file from the link

I downloaded Evolution X 4.7 Rom zip file and followed the instructions given in thread to flash zip file. But after flashing when I tried to reboot in system, it gave me a message on swipe screen that OS is not installed but still I swiped to boot in system. My device tried to boot a couple of time and ended up in fastboot again. Fortunately I had already made backup so I restored my backup.
Hence again I am on Rooted Relame 5 pro RMX1971 with realmeos build c.07.
What wrong did I do?
Do format data in twrp.format is not wiping data

when ever happens like that remember always go to twrp or any other recovery in wipe section tap on format data and type yes and swipe then reboot. it will dam sure will boot in ur desired rom
