How to Root Desire EYE [Simple Guide]

Rooting your device may cause loss of warranty.
1. Check your device model - This guide is for HTC Desire Eye and its variants including AT&T Model and International Unlocked Model only.
2. Backup - Backup is mandatory since bootloader unlock will erase your device to factory.
Requirentments- First you should have bootloader unlocked device. (Please visit "http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader" to unlock your bootloader)
Installed ADB Drivers and files - tool can found here, link - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9SWmcUAdoOnOVpITTVtcFZUZUk/view?usp=sharing
Download your recovery.img here, link - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9SWmcUAdoOnc3hOLXpWVVFIc2c/view?usp=sharing
Super SU & binary here, link - http://download.chainfire.eu/593/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.19.zip?retrieve_file=1
Put recovery.img to your ADB folder in PC, and super su to your mobile.
3. Now start command line in the ADB folder where your files located in the PC (Right click + hold down Shift) then "Open command window here"

4. Run following commands to flash recovery.img to your device ( this will replace your original recovery)
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Simple.. Now reboot into recovery by pressing power+vol down, then select recovery in the loading screen (if you have any issues rebooting into loader screen please try after disable quick boot in power settings).
5. Now flash your Super SU (Zip) transferred to your mobile by selecting in the recovery.
Everything good to go after reboot.....!!!!

Odd that there a few having problems. I s-off'd and had this recovery installed very easily. Are you all still having problems?

I have rooted my phone, But when I uninstall any system app using system app remover after restarting app will be back, and I can't uninstall them.
What's the problem??

System write protection.
There is a mod to disable that here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/des...e-disable-write-protection-v1-0-tool-t2966850
Or use a custom ROM, those have it disabled already.

I went through all the necessary steps. Only thing/issue now is the actual flashing of the root file. It will not take. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a way to get the necessary binary or whatever it's asking for? Thank you in advance.

Only you have to Download BETA-SuperSU-v2.71-20160331103524.zip and flash it. Issue Solved

I did all the steps and everythign went fine, but then I downloaded a RootChecker app and it says I dont have root access. How can I make sure everything worked? NVM I GOT IT FIXED THANX ALOT FOR THIS POST!!!

It is not working on my HTC DESIRE EYE
Error: The code execution cannot proceed because RAPI.DLL was not found.
Troubleshooting steps:
1. Make sure the downloaded file is unzipped
2. USB Debugging enabled
3. On my phone i selected the option, USE USB FOR: "usb file transfer"
4. On my phone I also tried selecting the option, USE USB FOR: "CD Installer"
5. Restart Phone, Mobile and the downloaded file

Make sure to have installed the OTA "full_k15ta_a-ota-1484567521.zip" (201701) !
1) Download the TWRP 3.0.2 at the next link :

2) Install the adb drivers and fastboot commands :

Unrar the rar. Run “adb-setup.exe”. Hit “Y” to all 3 questions.
3) Tap on Settings --> About phone --> Tap Build number seven times.
Developer options --> OEM unlocking enabled and USB debugging enabled.
4) Download SuperSU.zip and BusyBox.zip at the next link :

5) Unrar the rar. Copy the 2 zips onto your microSD.
STEPS TO DO ONCE ONLY :
6) Plug your phone to PC via USB cable.
Allow the pop up request on your phone to give your PC USB debugging.
7) Open CMD (command prompt).
8) Type the next command :
adb reboot bootloader (and press enter)
9) Now type the next command :
fastboot oem unlock (and press enter)
10) Press volume up (into your phone) to confirm to unlock the bootloader.
You will see in the CMD prompt the next messages :
"Start unlock flow", and when it will be finished, you will see "OKAY".
11) Reboot in normal mode (be patient, when you unlock the bootloader, the phone reset to factory).
12) Now tap 7 times on Build number. Then Developer options, and re-enable OEM unlocking and USB debugging.
STEPS TO DO EVERY TIME YOU NEED TWRP RECOVERY :
13) Copy the TWRP (recovery.img) into the same folder of fastboot.exe and adb.exe ( c:\adb\ ).
14) Connect your phone to the PC via USB cable.
15) Open CMD (command prompt) and type the next command :
adb reboot bootloader (and press enter)
16) Now type the next command :
fastboot boot c:\adb\recovery.img (and press enter)
17) Onto TWRP, if asking you to swipe to allow modification of System, tap KEEP READ ONLY.
18) Now - the most important thing - tap on Backup.
19) Check mark on Nvram, Boot, System and Data.
20) Tap on Select Storage, tap on MicroSDCard, tap on OK.
21) Tap Swipe to Backup.
22) Return to the main menù of TWRP.
23) Tap Install. Tap on Select Storage. Tap Micro SDCard. Tap OK.
24) Tap on SuperSU zip
25) Swipe to confirm Flash.
26) Tap on Reboot.
27) Tap on POWER OFF.
28) Turn on your phone.
29) Tap on the icon of SuperSU to activate it.
30) Download an app like "Root Check" or similar, to verify if phone is rooted.

is there a stock recovery available that i can flash in case i want to reset my phone or pull ota updates without flashing any zip files? i think the ota.zip that vernee released does not include a recovery, does it?
EDIT: there might be a possibility to extract recovery.img from the phone over adb. the problem is that you need to be rooted to do this but i am not, so i will leave a link down below. could someone who rooted his apollo try to get the recovery.img ?

You are right. There is no recovery.img inside the OTA update zip
I have made a custom recovery by myself. The pictures are the proof that my twrp works well.
This twrp method does not affect the original stock recovery.
Before to start the twrp by Fastboot, make sure you have installed the OTA 201701 update zip onto your Apollo.

1.- In this TWRP "instalation" you ask adb to boot from an image is not in the telephone but in your PC? (Please, confirm)
2.- Instad using SuperSu for root, can Magisk take its place? Magisk seems to be a very promisory system.

Very soon I will have the Vernee Apollo in my hands to do all kinds of tests without asking anyone to be the test case.
The first most important target is to make a stock firmware flashable by SP Flash Tool.
The second most important target is to make a twrp flashable by SP Flash Tool.

everything is ok - Backup and Restore
But how enter to recovery?

I see you on 4pda.
1) "volume plus" + "power" simultaneously.
2) select the first line with "volume plus".
3) press "volume minus" to enter into recovery.
I suggest you to install "Quick Reboot (Root)" apk to enter more quickly into recovery mode.

Questions :
1) Do you have selected ONLY Nvram, Boot, System and Data ?
2) What kind of microSD are you using ? Speed class 6 or speed class 10 ?

AOSP 10 (QUACK) Treble Official ROM by phhusson. (Huawei Mediapad M5 lite Global)

Requirements:
1. Unlocked Bootloader
2. You need ramdisk of current version
3. Download Stock Firmware Online firmware database ⋆ TEAM MT Developers
4. Look for the brand and model and download the update.zip
5. Use the Huawei Extractor to extract the ramdisk.img
6. Zip looks like this "http://update.dbankcdn.com/TDS/data/files/px/sxx/Gxxx/gxxx/vxxxxx/f1/full/update.zip"
7. Download TWRP and Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_12.21.2019.zip from here.

Additional option to point 5:
If your stock rom or custom rom starts you can boot into twrp by typing adb reboot revovery
Be sure your device is autohorized like this:

Yes, it is normal in screenshots and my model is bah2-l09c636
This method works on everymodel

2. Verify file checksum

Hello Guys today we are going to see how to relock the bootloader of realme 5pro
Download the vbmeta file and copy in adb folder in PC. incase if device stuck in image destroyed. use the command
"fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img" or copy the code and paste in CMD
Remember it is risky point so be careful while doing this whole process. Don't blame anyone if device got brick
Step 1: Your device must have the latest TWRP installed . As usual bootloader is unlocked
Step 2: Download the ozip file from realme official website
Step 3: Backup all the data which is in internal storage
Lets start the process
Step 4: Copy the ozip file into you sdcard
Step 5: Remove any security Like Pin or Pattern in your device. Then Reboot to recovery by pressing the buttons
Step 6: Once You are in recovery GOTO WIPE section Then select First 5 and Tap on Swipe to WIPE.
Step 7: Once the WIPE is completed then GOTO INSTALL section . Then select the Ozip file and tap on INSTALL. Wait till the process is completed.
Step 8: Tap on reboot to system . If the device rebooting back to twrp goto WIPE section . see in down right side FORMAT DATA tap on it and format the data
Step 9: After that tap on reboot system. the realme ui will boots don't setup anything as of now.
Step 10: Now GOTO settings then TAP on FACTORY RESET wait till the process is completed
Step 11: Next device boots up. Don't setup anything download and install indept apk again
Step 12 : Now reboot to fastboot mode . Connect your device to PC and type "fastboot devices in CMD in PC and see if your serial number is visible or not
Step 13: Next once you see your serial type the command "fastboot flashing lock" after that in phone use volume down button and tap on lock bootloader that's it .Your bootloader is locked
Step 14: Again device will reset with bootloader lock. next setup the realme ui next install indept apk tap on out of program next go to setting developer options and turn off OEM UNLOCK.
THERE YOU GO YOUR DEVICE IS SUCESSFULLY LOCKED AND YOU WILL GET OTA'S

9. If all is Flashed without errors longpress power and vol- on device

11. In TWRP press on Advanced - than on Terminal - and write " multidisabler " and press on the blue button
12. repeat step 11
13. press on reboot - than on recovery

I'm in the process of wiping through TWRP. It says
"Failed to mound '/metadata' (Invalid argument)
I've already converted the format partition from FAT to EXT4, and wiped the selected items but I'm stuck with the error above. Idk if this won't make me able to proceed to flashing the gsi

nice. Wish there were clear instructions on how to flash this phone, though.

Hey, so I really want to root my A22, but I would want some more info. I would like more info on how to flash the A12 GSI, like what about vendor etc, I mean I know stuff about roms but no stuff about GSI'S whatsoever, so like is vendor needed etc? And also can you give me a more detailed tutorial on how to flash it? I'd love Android 12 on this phone.

Yepp... perfectly works. No issues, efs just might break sometimes like it already did to me and you have to flash stock if you didn't back up efs

Hi there, I'm a noob regarding to this, but I was able to follow this guide successfully for my A225m.
But I'd like to understand what's going on here, can you give an explanation about each step and what does it do?
Also, can the vbmeta flashing be done _without_ Odin? For example using only fastboot (which works on Linux unlike Odin).
