Good job!
But you link to Official Open Gapps. Open Gapps don't have 8.1 as of now. I think it would be better to link to another 8.1 working Gapps while waiting for Open Gapps to be updated to 8.1. Just to avoid confusion.
Keep up the good work you doing! And thanks for bringing that early Lineage 15.1 build to OP5.

Seems to work as good as stable
No issues so far #Mr_complicated

Otherwise the rom is great, no bugs so far

If you're already on Oreo you don't have to format data again.

What is your problem?

And they already complain

Bug reports belong on JIRA. See our wiki for more information on using JIRA.

DO NOT report bugs if you're running a custom kernel
DO NOT report bugs if you've modifies system files
DO NOT report bugs if you've installed xposed and/or other mods
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)

No way....!!!
'' [OFFICIAL][WEEKLY][7.1.1] LineageOS 14.1 for i9505'' <---this is one is pure LineageOS ROM ,with no custom tweaks,no custom kernel no nothing.its like the Official CM13.0.it has got all features that LineageOS support
"[JDCTeam][7.1.1][12 March]Optimized LineageOS 14.1-Stable1[Dev by Poll]" <---this is MY rom...my custom rom...my edits...my tweaks...the base of that rom is the official lineageOS.i added some stuff etc
@dj3d I think the developers decided it that way to make a nice "stock" lineage os without "all singing all dancing" stuff. Just to keep it clean and pure.
Thanks a lot !

Sick!
Thank you very much!
Great news! Thanks
I just migrated from Omni to this first build of official LOS. Thanks a bunch for the effort.
I'm having trouble getting Gcam (Arnova8G2 v1) to work. Flashed Camera2 api Magisk module and portrait mode works but the main camera is just black/blank. Is that a known problem on LOS?
Manually did enable api via build prop editor and reboot

Nice! Thank you very much.
Thank you!
PS. for stupid ppl like me: if you get the "Google services framework has stopped" after installation do the following:
1) Format data
2) Go to Advanced wipe, select everything and wipe it.
3) install ROM (only rom)
4) reboot into recovery
5) Go to Advanced wipe, select everything and wipe it.
6) Install ROM + Gapps and other stuff if needed.
After this is should work.
This is the problem of other roms not supporting proper Encryption and this one does.

8.3.29 is a Miui dev release which is Miui 9.
They use the blobs/configs from that build so they recommend it.

That /dev/block/platform/soc.0/7824900.sdhci/by-name/ path is actually the correct path. Any path with "bootdevice" is just a symlink to /soc.0/7824900.sdhci. Aosp is trying to move away from using the bootdevice because the paths differ between the platforms(qcom/mtk/intel/kirin). We went ahead and made the jump to using full paths a lot of the lineage devices.
TDLR you need a new recovery that supports both.

Thanks dude! Brilliant.
I'm having issues with ads on this build. As everything in Android and apps and games revolve around ads it basically hinders just a bout everything. Whenever an ad-video tries to load while in-app, it just does nothing. Black screen and that's it. Reverted back to Stock OxygenOS.

Are you using an ad blocker? If yes, try to deactivate it for otherwise not working apps.
It failed to install.
After flashing the ZIP, Magisk and GApps, it boots to fastboot.
I disabled dm-verity in Magisk and the data partition is not encrypted.

Hi all,
Can anyone explain why I can't use Google Pay(Tez) in this custom build of LineageOS 17 whereas it can run on official LineageOS 16 builds ?

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 18.1 for Nexus 5 (hammerhead) [DISCONTINUED]

LineageOS 18.1 is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11.0 (R), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
The source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.
Known bugs:
Screen mirroring via slimport HDMI adapter doesn't work.
PMF aka 802.11w doesn't supported. Read here about it.
Encryption has problems. Read here about it.

To install rom you should increase the /system partition size

GAPPS Installation
LineageOS Team have recommendations about GAPPS
Here are the most important two copied from LineageOS WiKi:
If you opt to use Open GApps, they offer a variety of sizes of packages that include and overwrite different apps. We only recommend package sizes up through nano. If you use a larger package, we can not guarantee that everything will function on your device, as in many of these cases our included apps are overwritten in favor of the Google App equivalents.
Google apps should be installed via recovery immediately after installing LineageOS. If you reboot into LineageOS before installing Google apps, you must factory reset and then install them, otherwise expect crashes.
Patches
Patches you need to apply to the source code to get the same functionality as in my builds. All patches are actual as of Jun 24, 2022.

An user by the name BrainWash has found unofficial builds of arm Gapps packages for Android 11, that user has shared a link in the Nexus 5 Telegram group.
They might work or not, give them a try on your own risk.

Those issues you mention don't seem to be related to this ROM. I just flashed this ROM on my N5 and my TWRP did not get overwritten nor did my partition sizes get reverted to the stock sizes. I don't know what has gone wrong on your side.
Woah, amazing. Thanks! Everything seems to be working so far, only Magisk fails to install.

Magisk v21.2 installs and works without any issues. Makes sure you flash an up to date version of Magisk, redownload it if doesn't install.
Yes, thank you. I was using a bit older build that didn't work.

while setting up when booted in, it ask if u want to update lineage recovery along with the os. I think that may overwrite twrp

Maybe but judging from what he said I think he says that his TWRP got overwritten and his partitions got reverted to the stock sizes right after flashing the ROM. So it looks like he did something wrong or doesn't read what the setup asks him...
Wow amazing a lot of thanks for this rom
Latest build ( lineage-18.1-20210109 ) seems to be stuck in a forever-boot-loop.
Here booting well
Having no boot problems with 20210109 comming from 17.1-20201231
It doesn't work with fresh install (just a constant boot loop), but updating from 20210108 to 20210109 works.

My tester said that everything works fine after clean installation as well as after update. But there is a problem with latest test package of opengapps. Device can't boot. So if u used opengapps then this is your problem.
Anyway before posting such reports try to perform a clean flash of the ROM without additional packages (gapps/magisk/mods)
I haven't used my Nexus 5 in a few years and now I would like to update it to android 10, in particular your LineageOS 17.1.
But being many years since the last update I was wondering if my recovery, kernel and radio were compatible with android 10. Would you be able to suggest which recovery, which magisk version, which kernel and radio to install? Maybe kernel and radio now come bundled with the OS (?)
Lastly, there is any peculiar step for a clean installation procedure?
I tried to search on the thread beforehand, but couldn't find the answers. Sorry if you already answered my questions.
Thanks a lot for the your time and effort!
