Has anyone used this battery case from Newdery? (4700mAh) - LG G7 ThinQ Accessories

Anyone used this one yet?
Newdery 4700mAh LG G7 Slim Portable Extended Charger Case

Tempted to, but not yet. They have a thread on Reddit but no one reviewed it yet. From what I understand, it's the same as the Zero Lemon, rumor has it they get the units from them. Of course I am probably wrong about that.
Here is the link for the Zero Lemon, looks the same

instead of starting a NEW thread, you COULD have just added to one the multiple threads already about them from people that bought them a month or more ago... just sayin'.
reason why, is that it is VERY rare that that the manufacturer/s of these have their name on it, and there IS multiple manufacturers (judging by the slight variances) so no matter how "good" your review is, it wont matter.. as there is no guarantee that the no-name case you bought is the same as the no-name case someone else is thinking of buying... unlike Hyperion, anker, etc.. extended batteries, that you can compare between the different manufacturers.
If you do a review, please make it a true review, and just not "this thing is amazing! i get more powah!" with no comparative tests, or metrics at all. of course you get more power, but we want to know how much.

Induction charging with slim battery covers?

So, I'll be heading out to Verizon shortly to trade in my T-mobile HTC amaze for an S3. The development community behind the S3 is HUGE!!
In any case... I'd like to get the induction charging (as I've found with past phones, after about a year the micro-usb port can start to get shoddy). It seems the new cover issue has been solved (thanks flashcity90) for case fitment, but I'm curious if slim covers would inhibit the charging. I know induction chargers have only recently came out... but haven't been able to find any reviews or comments on this.
Something like one of these, that has been reviewed here in the forums:

Does this battery look legit?

http://www.amazon.com/3800mah-Capac...ry-Samsung/dp/B00JKKDCW4/ref=cm_cd_ql_qh_dp_t
Even tho amazon is selling it, there are still fakes on there. But with prime capability, this looks real and legit. Also, some users are reporting positive feedback. If anyone tried this, let me know your opinion.

I'd say it's not legit in any sense of the word to be honest:
(1) it's definitely not genuine Samsung or any other 'major' brand that I'm familiar with like ZeroLemon, Mugen, Anker, etc (cheapo batteries are just a rip off and hassle waiting to happen IMO)
(2) the claimed capacity is suspect - I've not seen any with such a high capacity that are actually a direct replacement for the stock original. All the 'real' high capacity batteries that I've seen beyond 2300mAh need a new back cover to fit.
(3) no mention if it supports NFC - (some like the ZeroLemon 2300mAh upgrade are not NFC compatible)
I may be wrong, but just my opinion - if it was my money I wouldn't bother, and I suspect that a wedge of the positive reviews are probably based against users' experience with a degrading, ageing original battery.

I have to agree with you on this. I am going to skip this piece. I will look for RavPower and Gorilla batteries stock capacity. Btw, thanks again.

Anker or Zerolemon ever going to make LG G4 Accessories?

I just wan to know if this is ever going to happen... I loved the Anker LG G3 Batteries but I do not see them in their website nor any talk about making them... Anyone knows?
ZeroLemon has this on their FB page:
Dev Still waiting for LG G4 extended battery and rugged case... by the way, any plan releasing extended battery case for Sony Z3 or Z3+ ?

Zero Lemon Thanks for your support, we plan to launch the LG G4 battery case at the end of September. As for the other two phone models, I'm afraid we don't have any plan for them right now.

So it sounds like they have at least a battery case in the works.

ZeroLemon (or other brand) extended battery case for G6?

I'm wondering if ZeroLemon will be making a battery case for the LG G6. I had the 10,000mAh for my Note 3, and love how long the battery lasts me.
They did manufacture battery cases for the G4 and the V20, but not the G5, so I'm worried they might not have a G6 one.
Or if other companies start making them, we can post updates in here as well.
I'm sure they will. They have been pretty active with extended batteries.
I got in touch with ZeroLemon over Facebook. Sadly, they said they don't plan to make a battery case for the G6, citing "technical difficulties".
I just wrote to Powerbear, and am awaiting a response.
Update: Response I got from Powerbear:
"We'll check into adding your requested unit as we continuously work on growing our product line."

Fingers crossed!
It means NO, they won't do it. I'm currently just using Quick Charge 3.0 Powerbank, it charges full in one hour. But i will be looking for extended battery case with a kickstand. I don't like hanging powerbanks.

I'm remaining optimistic that PowerBear can produce one; they did one for the LG G5, whereas ZeroLemon was unable to. If PowerBear makes a battery case for the Galaxy S8 before the G6, that's when I'll lose hope lol. Only time will tell though.
So far, an Anker powerbank is serving me well.
What's the technical difficulties? I wish LG would copy Apple and release their own, they're so superior to power banks I bet they'd sell a ton.
Can they make a "wireless" charging battery case? Seems that would be a big seller.

I'm really enjoying my G6 after years of Samsung- Couldn't bear the curved screen gimmick. The battery life is ok, but I'd really love to have some way to extend the battery- I'm so used to a zerolemon 10000 battery on a note 4, I'm totally spoiled. Even a power case would be fine by me, t'would be nice if the usb c on something like that would have a passthrough, but this is my first "sealed" phone without a removable battery, so I'm clueless what kind of options even could potentially exist for phones like this...
Cheers!

Probably none mate. How many other waterproof phones you know of with a similar external battery as you describe?

I don't think a phone being water-resistant excludes manufacturers from producing extended battery cases. Sure, with removable batteries in previous generation phones, all you had to do to put your battery case was take off the back cover, remove stock battery, and slip extended battery in. But even with today's water-resistant phones where you're unable to disassemble the housing, there are still external battery cases that simply have the battery fitted inside the case itself.
Samsung Galaxy S8 (IP68, same water-resistance as LG G6) has extended battery cases produced by ZeroLemon and Power

iPhone 7 has IP67 water resistance. Multiple manufacturers produce extended battery cases for it.

Just got in touch with Zero Lemon and they said:
HI,
Thank you for the inquiry .
Yes we are working on the case but there is no release date foe the time being .
Once available we will update that details on our website and Facebook account .
Best Regards,
Joey

I'm curious, why does ZeroLemon not make those glorious hard plastic skeletons anymore? The G3 model is spectacular! I'm using it as we speak! I'm sorely disappointed with the lazy G4 and V10 slip-on cases. My G3 is a tank! I never flinch when I drop the phone.
I sure an impressed with their G6 solution. I'll be considering this phone now, rather than only arriving to the V20. But still, they withdraw the superb skeletal design. Can someone please explain to me why?
I think there's another thread about this but yes it's available. Just ordered my last week. Hopefully will get it early this week.
