hello,need some expert advice her, i bougth a Lenovo s850 from china and i needed a multilang. rom on it wich i found on needrom but when i was finshing flashing it it went into a bootlop and now its completely dead. is it any thing to do her or have i got my self a 200$ piece of junk

Try to explain better! Do you have installed custom recovery?
no i installed a modified multi language rom from "needroom" did every as told and everything looked fine during the upgrade and when i was finished i got the green circle that says it was ok but when started it up it went in to boot loop and said "TOOL DL image fail!" but after a while its totally dead.,when i try now it wont load in any software into the phone ,just starts up the purple pre preparation on the SP flash tool but when i connect the phone it stops .cant get it into recovery mode or anything,just completely dead. i would rely be thankful for some advice her
Maybe the package you've tried to install is corrupted.

Most likely your device is unusable. Without any recovery, I dont think you will be able to do anything. I am sorry.

Just a question....are you able to enter fastboot?
no cant enter anything its like its out of battery,completely dead and it wont take charge ether

hello my friend. I got exactly the same thing that I just tried to install TWRP. I stuck in Boot loop. solution found by disconnecting the battery. and making again the same procedure. but once I checked her DA DL All. Now how puts the battery is another story .but if I want i tell you, you need some tools that may have in your home..

Question: When you connect the phone with your pc (usb cable) does the pc makes any sound (connected device sound)?

Same problem here. Trying to install twrp and got stuck in => FASTBOOT mode ...
The computer makes a sound when i connect the USB cable but i don't have adb connection.
How can I solve this problem?
Do I leave it to finnish the baterry and than try to start?

The phone started in normal mode after the battery dryed and the phone went off.
Hi, has anyone Lenovo S850 firmware upgrade solution? Now I have resolve "DL Tool Image Fail" problem but have another problem - every rom I download touch screen doesn't work. On "original" rom (not multilanguage) touch screen worked properly. Does anyone have "good" multilanguage rom with touch screen working?
method to install original rom android 4.4.2 in lenovo s850
i have found the perfact solution to install original 4.4.2 rom on lenovo s850...so for that you have to donload rom from the link in notepad file...i have uploaded notepad file and download link is in that it is about 1.1 gb...so it will take time to download and after that what you have to do is open flash tool and then check da dl check sum and then extract the file you have download of 4.4.2 android and then in flash tool click on scater loading and browse to the the extraction location and in extracted folder there will be a folder somethinf target bin in that folder select scatter loding file of lenovo s850 and then just simply click on upgrade firware and then switch off your phone and then wait to process complete untill green circle come...and if you dont have flash tool...google it and download...thanks i hope this helps someone...:good::good::good::good:

Initial Problem was: AFTER TURNING PHONE ON (NORMAL BOOT UP) IT GOT STUCK ON BOOT LOGO.
Very first tried solution: PRESSING BOTH VOL.+POWER PHONE WENT IN LENOVO RECOVERY MODE. THEN I TRIED TO FUSE FORMAT BUT IT FAILED TO FORMAT. PROBLEM REMAINED SAME.
Second Tried Solution: DOWNLOADED OFFICIAL STOCK ROM (A. Lenovo_S850_VIBEUI_V1.5_1419_2_ST_S850_4.4.2 B.Lenovo_S850_ROW_S211_140923 C. Lenovo_S850_ROW_S207_140814. D. Lenovo S850 official firmware flash file) + ALL AVAILABLE SP FLASH TOOLS + USB VCOM DRIVER FOR MEDIATEK AND INSTALLED DRIVERS.
USING ABOVE FILES I TRIED TO DOWNLOAD ALL ROMS WITH DIFFERENT SP FLASH TOOLS VERSIONS BUT ALL THE TIME RED BAR CAME TO 100% THEN BAR STUCK ON 0% FOLLOWED BY ERROR "SDMMC WRITE FAIL".
THEN I TRIED UPGRADING FIRMWARE, SAME AGAIN IT GAVE ERROR "FORMAT FAILED"
THEN I TRIED TO FORMAT USING FLAH TOOL (ALL VERSIONS) AGAIN IT GAVE SAME ERROR "FORMAT FAILED"

Sp flash download completed phone dead
Okay so the phone wont boot into recovery or to OS.
All because of the OTA update. Crashed.
I installed SP Flash drivers and latest Flash tool.
I have downloaded stock ROM and formatted the phone with SP Flash.
The phone is recognized and it can download the ROM through SP Flash.
I see all those lines red , green , purple , yellow, etc. Than I see the tick.
But the phone still not booting up either to recovery or to OS.
I assume the drivers are good as the progress begins at act as it should.
I was thinking maybe I need a jump for my battery. (use a cable to put some charge into, externally)
Can somebody please help me. I am getting grey hair already because of this.

I am kinda new on xda tho i visit this site often, but please i have a Gionee s5.1 mtk device and i was previously making use of an miui custom rom, then i decided to revert to stock rom because the custom rom was consuming lots of battery strength. After i had connected my android to sp Flash tool to format and redownload the stock, while on 'format', i mistakenly touched the usb and i think it altered the format process, and after a while it gave an error message, and the format process seized. i disconnected the usb and reconnected to start the process and i get a message from my pc that usb is not recognised . i tried booting the device it didnt come up. a fellow guru said the preloader has been crashed. i want to find out, is there any possible solution to the device. Please devs i know u guys are very capable of giving me an answer. i really need to know ASAP.

At first my zenfone 2 is stuck at the white usb logo everytime i open it and it doesnt let me access the recovery mode or the bootloader so i had to use xfstx downloader and after that i can acces the bootloader but still cant acces the recovery mode then i find some tutorial in xda that tells me that i need to flash then when i try to flash it everytime it fail and said that "Flash image failure(FAILED(cannot use fastboot executable)) please i really need help im desperate here i dont wanna go to the center and replace the motherboard because the price is not something i want to pay :crying::crying:
Did you try to fash recovery image? Flash recovery image first before using flashtool.
Mine too.. always get this error anyone know how to fix it?

Firstly , what have you done ? - to get in this position ? there are many threads on here to unbrick devices , reading is best especially if you know what you did to get in the state you are
Me too had a same problem. u would have tried to flash with wrong file. flash with correct firmware it will 100% ok

The memory was full and installing the software all's gone wrong and now when I try to go to recovery mode o something else like the download mode my phone shows me "an error has occurred while updating the device..." I've tried to use the emergency recovery in the smart switch on my pc but, even if I install again the drivers the computer doesn't recognize my phone. I'm going in panic please help me soon.. I need it

i have your issue but when phone turned off i can go to download mode and install new firmware and its ok
smart switch emergency recovery cant do anythings and dont use it!!!!
