Can anyone point me in the right direction of kernel modification? - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Recently I rooted my kindle, and then flashed TWRP and stock jellybean. I attempted to install Kali Nethunter, but a good deal of the features require a modified kernel. As I have no clue about anything to do with Kernels, I tried to follow the guide to porting nethunter (XDA won't let me include links yet), but I ended up nowhere. I am not sure where or what kernel to use for it. I tried to look into kernel modification but all I found was very confusing. Any help is appreciated.

How to deodex 4.0.4 stock rom?

Guys Im starting to get into building custom roms. But I am a beginner but been looking for threads and google on how to build roms.
Right now im starting to use stock based roms witch seems easier but as google takes me to deodex a stock rom I need xUltimate.
but have no idea on witch version I need to have
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/xeudoxus/47283-release-xultimate.html all the guides thread I found takes me to that link but as you can see there are several versions and for several devices.
I thought I need a little help from an expert on deodex stock ics roms of the t989
Oh one more thing, I assume the way we root stock roms doesnt install busybox and there are several apps for that on play store, witch is best?

Kernel Questions

I apologize if this is explained elsewhere, did a search but not coming up with much:
I'm somewhat new to Android rooting. I have a Verizon M8 that was on 4.4.4. I installed Sunshine 3.02, got root no problem, TWRP installed with no issues, SU installed fine. I tried to run a few of the Lollipop ROMs but they would not run, I jut got returned to TWRP. (Some, like ViperOneM8 run fine). According to a post in another thread, I also need to update the kernel to get it to work with these newer ROMs.
My question is: what now? There's a section on XDA for Kernels but they all appear to be custom kernels, the ROM I want to use (Android Revolution) says that using the stock kernel is best. How do I find these kernels and how do I figure out which one to use?
Anyone willing to give me the short version of when I would need a new kernel and why?
Thanks for any help!
You need to update to Lollipop firmware.
You should also make sure you stick to ROMs that specifically support the Verizon variant (if you are not doing so already) as its a CDMA variant, which is different hardware from most other (GSM) versions.

Overclock stock (Rooted) 851 (Can't find kernel)

Hey I feel like a noob for asking but after genuinely searching the site for a few hours I have been unable to find any kernel compatible with my stock rom version 5.0.1 and phone t-mobile us 851. Is there one available and if not is there any way I can overclock my phone without installing a custom rom and a kernel over it. I really appreciate any answers. Thank you. Also just wanted to mention that before asking I actually tried installing incompatible kernels pretty much knowing that they wouldn't work (thank goodness I backed up lol).

I need the DOK2 Stock Kernel for N910T

I have looked everywhere on this site and online that I can think of and no one has to download the for stock kernel for the N910T 5.1.1 Lollipop [DOK2] ROM/firmware that came out a long time ago. Does anyone on here have it and can post a link so that I can download it? I need to for a setup I am building on my phone and I have everything I need except it. I wasted the whole weekend looking for it so if anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it. I figure that someone has it on their PC from a long time ago. I use TWRP if that helps. Just looking for the kernel in a .zip format so I can flash it in TWRP. I tried to figure out how to extract it, but all I have is a stock.img.tar ROM with no way of extracting a kernel that works with the knowledge I have.
Anyways, I would greatly appreciate it and this thread and another copy of it I will post in android development are my last available effort to find the 5.1.1 DOK2 stock kernel.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!

What is the way to install TWRP?

Hi!
I'm searching the way to install LineageOs that I found on my Xperia D2303 (https://www.droidword.com/2017/12/10/update-sony-xperia-m2-to-android-8-0-oreo-lineageos-rom/).
I found lots of info for do this, but, I can't understand what is the way.
On the official post for TWRP I can see that this recovery not works for stock roms, and I have a stock rom, not rooted and with bootloader unlocked.
Well, TWRP needs a custom rom / kernel, but to install the rom TWRP is needed, how is this possible? What I need to do to get the rom that I said working on my M2??
I'm lost, I need a (half)step-by-step tuto....or similar..to understand this.
Thanks!
--EDIT--
SORRY!!! I was wrong about the forum, this is a post for a M2 forum, not M5. If any can move this to M2 forum will be great.
