Perhaps it would be interesting to know the build number of your firmware. My device is on 203, too, and I also lost my root since that. I haven't tried your ramdisk, of course, but every other way.

work ?
Does it work on the device? model eml-al00.

Does this works with EMUI 9.1?

Solved patching with magisk before executing fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk ramdisk.img and then, executing adb reboot recovery h with the phone on, in file transfer mode.

This img works in EML-L29?. Thanks

I tried but it seems there is no way it will work with the bootloader locked. Is this statement right?

Bootloader unlocking is not anymore supported by Huawei. Buy an another phone. No Huawei!

Hey, I want to install twrp also, anyone got a link on how to do that? I only find info for P20 Pro...

please if you can provide a link to how to unlock this phone's bootloader. Thank you

HI, can you help step by step???

Any chance to root emui 10?

Killed my P20 trying. Anyway, Huawei phones are dead to me. Switched to a Redmi note 9 pro. Paid 400$CAD. 6GB RAM, 128GB ROM, 720G processor. Wouldn't go back to Huawei. With Xiaomi, so easy. They provide a tool, you request to deactivate the lock, wait for 3 days, unlocked. Done.

Are you happy with Xiaomi purchase? I'm thinking to take a redmi note 9 pro also! Works better than p20? Also, bootloader unlock is a plus for me!

Honor 6x 2017 android 7 emui 5 - Is it possible to install TWRP?

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to have a final answer on : it is possible to install TWRP and use it to root the honor 6x on android 7 and emui 5 (without downgrade) ?
- I've unlocked bootloader ;
- I've installed adb/fastboot ;
- I've installed drivers ;
- I've enabled debugging USB and OEM ;
- I've reboot on fastboot ;
- I've flash recovery with every TWRP since version 3.
But never could access TWRP only eRecovery of emui, when restart with every combination of volume buttons and power, so, ..., I'm doing wrong ?
If there is a kind guy who can make a simple, and definitive (for the moment) answer, that would be awesome
What version of EMUI ? what the version of recovery ?
Be sure to have xxxB360 emui 5 / recovery openkirin version 3.1.x and it will work ...

maybe you could reconnect it after entering the TWRP.
I have not to try. the FAQ just says that when you hold volume+ and power buttons, if connecting to computer, it will enter eRecovery mode, and if unconnecting, will enter recovery mode.

Yeah my bad, I've write the new build number from my downgrade fresh install, sorry, the old I've not keep it.
By saying no in the last part of your message you mean : that I should NOT re-upgrade? Cause my downgrade version work (it's rooted)?
All unlocked, and I can't give you the build number cause I've downgrade and don't keep the old build number.
Actually is BLN-L21C432B151, I can re-upgrade to Nougat (and I prefer Nougat) but it was not working on nougat and it's working on Marshmallow so I've choose to root over the design/functionality/... But if you know why it was not working and can put me on the good path by telling me that I've miss a part or something I will give (probably, if your sure) a try
I mean that I've choose to downgrade to have a root device than can't root and keep nougat.
The problem after successfully flash twrp to recovery, directly reboot with vol up and power was prompt erecovery of emui.
Ok thanks for your answers

After installing the ROM, you can easily get into bootloader by selecting bootloader during the reboot option in twrp. It's a bit easier than trying to get the buttons & timing right to get into bootloader to flash the stock recovery.
Hi sir thank you for this guide always wanted to flash this pixy os but no detailed instructions for pur device..
Im just a newbie here..
Can you help me find the link for the recovery for my device.

BLL-L22 ? You mean stock recovery? Are you on stock EMUI 8? India? If you have update.app u can easily extract it. But if you can't then I will do it for you once the download finishes.

Oh man....I think I need to rebrand first for this then get the emui 8 im still running on emui 5...im from the Philippines..
so the stock recovery should be on the updater.app the ill just extract that file then I need to look for "recovery.img"?
is that how its done?
Well first you need to update to EMUI 8. You will probably have to download Indian or China version of EMUI 8 from Firmware Finder. I suggest China. Once downloaded just rebrand/update. Now in the update.zip you will find an update.app it is around 2-3 GB. Download Huawei Firmware Extractor and then extract Recovery_ramdis.img That's it. Now flash it normally.
Reading your post I conclude you are on EMUI 5 correct? What is your model number? It might help with the rebranding.
Is the moble metwork standby battery drain bug in this rom?

Also recovery is flashed through fastboot using either powershell or command prompt through your PC
Go-to the above link and download HWOTA and the three update files. Extract HWOTA to the C Drive of your PC. Rename them as suggested in thread. Now transfer the files to Download folder inside HWOTA 7 folder. Now boot your phone into Bootloader and connect to the PC. Now run update.bat it will flash TWRP recovery. Once it says waiting for device to boot into TWRP, disconnect the device and hold Power & Volume Up to boot into TWRP. Once in there reconnect to Computer and press enter twice.
Now select:
Update from-> using script-> change location-> BLN-AL20. It will flash OEM-Info and then ask for your bootloader unlock code and continue. Now wait patiently for it to finish. Once flashing is complete select to keep Bootloader unlocked.
Upon first boot you won't have network signal. Solution is in the linked thread but Don't ignore it and fix signal first then after that flash Pixys OS by following OP.
Now to extract Stock Recovery follow these:
Extract the main update.zip
Download Huawei Update Extractor from XDA. Search for it.
Launch Huawei Update Extractor and go to Settings and disable first option. Now press three dots to browse and navigate to extracted folder and select Update.app
Double click on Recovery_Ramdis.img and extract it to desktop. You will get animage file and another one. Delete the other one. Now flash image file as you would flash TWRP. If you need more help, Just ask.
One question, can I transition from Resurrection Remix Oreo? Or do I have to flash EMUI 8 again?
Hello,
I am using an Honor 6X model number BLN-L21 running Emui 5.0.1.
Phone has unlocked bootloader and is rooted.
Since is unlocked OTA updates are no longer working so I am stuck on 5.0.1.
If I understood correctly I have first to upgrade to Emui 8.0 stock fw and then pass to this custom rom.
Could you please write me a small recap/tutorial I can follow to jump my phone in Emui 8?
Thanks,
Andrea.

Yes you can but to be on the safe side I would advise to restore EMUI 8 first. Though you can go directly if you wish.

Q&A
Does TWRP from that chinese forum presist after flashing ?
No. Phone will go back to original RECOVERY after 2nd restart.
Does that TWRP is functional with REDMI NOTE 8 PRO ?
Some functions may work, some not.
Installing root with this TWRP will cause bootloop.
When something go wrong....
If you end up with BOOTLOOP, for any reason ( Magisk etc. )
Just flash boot.img from FASTBOOT + RECOVERY+BOOT and bring your phone back to life.
This boot.img was extracted from firmware linked above.

So, I guess we have found a way to install twrp and it persists after flashing.
How about magisk? Does it still lead to bootloop efter following this process with twrp?
And how do we do a system update after at have twrp installed?

Ok, thanks for reporting. I guess that Magisk just does not support our phone yet.
I have also tested Magisk v20 and got bootloop.

Personal note :
It may be possible to flash that chinese TWRP permanently, by replacing recovery.img in firmware images.
And flash it with MiFLASH.

Are you using the note 8 pro?
If yes, then it is fully supported by mi flash? I think it's the safest way to flash stock rom right now because you don't have to unlock the boot loader just to flash global or china rom.

I think that you have to unlock the BL first before you can access fastboot flashing, even with mi flash.l

Unlock bootloader before use Mi flash. Trust me. You don't want to resurrect phone via adl mode

I use MIUI 11 9.10.17 (MiuiPro edition) for Redmi Note 8 Pro. Magisk work without problem (19.3). Some screenshots for you (Greek Translation by Spiros Kaparos) in attachment.

The ROM is based on the Chinese beta version 9.10.17 Miui 11 and the Magisk is integrated into the ROM. Just flashed the archive with ROM from TWRP. I do not have a direct link to ROM - I downloaded it from the OTA server. You need to ask on the developers site.

Q&A
Does TWRP from that chinese forum presist after flashing ?
_____
Command : fastboot flash boot boot.img
_____
Personal note :
It may be possible to flash that chinese TWRP permanently, by replacing recovery.img in firmware images.
And flash it with MiFLASH.

Does the TWRP and Magisk required to flash the global rom? Or if i flash your files via Mi flash it will flash only Stock Global Rom?

Flashing TWRP and rooting chinese variant phone with global Rom

I bought my redmi note 8 pro in China with a chinese version, then a few days ago i flashed a global rom with fastboot on the device. Then I tried to flash TWRP recovery and i did everything correctly but my phone doesn’t boot and go twrp directly repeatedly. Then i unroot from TWRP and it was normal again but there is no recovery now, not the stock as well but fastboot works. Now can you guys suggest me how to flash TWRP recovery on this and how to root this? Thanks in advance..
