Brick ´The MIUI version can´t be installed on this device´ bootloader lock - Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi my phone don´t boot he is stock on The MIUI version can´t be installed on this device, I try every thing, my antirollback is in blanck and the bootloader is change from sakura to sakura_india (by the chinise STORE and after they block the bootloader) but when I install the rom sakura_in the phone show the recovery with the error. I can´t install from edl the CN rom beacause I don´t have ID to flash, the phone only accept from miphoneassistant the IN rom but thath is not the wrigh rom.
In the redmi note 5 there is a solution to flash a rom without ID but I can´t find the same for sakura Phone.:crying::crying:

If you have moded bootloader from sakura to sakura_india by seller you have to unlock bootloader. Don't even try to flash or update global rom on locked phone. You won't be able to install China rom with recovery becous of moded bootloader. Unlock bootloader first, then you can install what you want

Should I update to MIUI 10 by OTA or unlock bootloader to flash MIUI 10

I just bought the redmi 6 pro which unfortunately is the Chinese version but not minding almost all I see in the phone is in Chinese and I use Google translate to read few things here and to be frank, I love the phone and will keep maximising how interesting it will be. I saw an update alert in the settings to download and install an update as shown in the picture below but I keep seeing people who write about unlocking bootloaders and tweaking their phones. Apart from installing custom ROMs, themes, etc; what else is in this hype of unlocking bootloaders? Hope it is safe to update from OTA? Though I use to be tech zealous about custom in my previous Android phones but I've come to just love and stay in peace with the official ROM of this device and wouldn't want altering any of it's official settings.
If you have China version with CN Miui (ODICNFD) you can do OTA update.
You need to unlock bootloader if you have China version with Indian Miui (ODMMIFD) and want to do OTA update.
You must be sure which version of phone and which version of Miui you have

I have modified bootloader and installed Indian rom on CN version
If I check my product name
fastboot getvar product
It says sakura_ Indian
That why I can't do a OTA update without unlock bootloader because I have CN version with modified bootloader.
Just check your version in fastboot mode (btw your box of Redmi 6 pro has to be red and with Chinese characters. If it is correct you can do OTA update without unlock bootloader.

First of you have to unlock bootloader. Then Check in fastboot mode name of your phone. "fastboot getvar product". If you have sakura just unpack Miui global fastboot rom and edit flash_all.bat and flash_all.sh by notepad++ and change sakura_india to sakura. Then install it with miflash. Use only clean all, don't use clean all and lock!

Hardbricked mi Max 3

I ****ed up.
I was coming from miui weekly eu version, I wanted to flash a GSI image. I did in twrp, GSI pixel experience arm a only. Didn't boot further till mi logo. So fastboot flashed miui10 stable and booted till setup screen. Boot asked for a password after GSI boot. So I wanted to try a different GSI and reflashed. Didn't work also. Again fastboot flashed miui10, this time I forgot to unselect 'format and lock' didnt saw that. Now it won't boot in system and twrp, and also can't unlock bootloader anymore with mi unlocked as my phone is somehow not linked to my account anymore.
What am I supposed to do now?

Yes I tried flashing custom recovery. Says it can't flash it as my bootloader is not unlocked. Did the fastboot flash again because I wanted to do a deep clean flash again. But forgot to unselect the lock button. Now its locked and only booting in standard miui recovery and fastboot.

Why did you keep using fastboot to flash stock most of these need xiaomi.eu ROM as a base which can be flashed via twrp whatever version you use and it's because you chose flash all and lock hence your stuck now as can't unlock bootloader. I just recovered mine from ARB EDL brick as invought it cheap in that state. You need to flash a stock version version that's suitable to get stock working then attach your account in settings so bootloader unlock can work. My model was Chinese so I needed flash Chinese stock and started again. If your phone was originally Chinese start there then unlock the bootloader etc.

In a nutshell flash and lock with stock version for phone as if Chinese flash and lock won't work with a global stock ROM. Flash a Chinese stock to get back into system and start over again

Yes flash the latest official Chinese not global stock using mi flash tool as that will get your phone back up and running on stock. Then add your account in settings so bootloader unlock can see it. Enable dev setting tick OEM unlock and add account. Unlock your boot loader and your back again mate. If you could have unlocked your boot loader the global would boot but not while it's locked.
1. Flash latest CN firmware
2. Add account in settings after set up
3. Try bootloader unlock again should not have to wait if unlocked before
4. Flash twrp and keep copy of xiaomi.eu ROM on your micro SD card as that's all you need to flash in recovery to return to stock. It's flashed via recovery without errors

Anyone who can fix this hard brick gets $10 worth of Bitcoin or Ethereum from me.
Hmmm, if you bootloader can be unlocked. I can help you because I hard-bricked my phone because of the Anti Rollback by flashing an earlier version of global pie beta over the current one (10.2.1.0). I had someone from the s-unlock website unbrick my device for me because my Mi account had no authorization to finish the Mi Flash process. So instead, the tech guy used his authorized mi account to bypass the Mi Flash install remotely on my computer to make my phone work again.

My account is verified but I am not signed into it on my phone as I can not boot into system.
Basically you need to flash the latest version of the Chinese stock miui but I haven't seen any tool that does that while bootloader is locked. You won't be able to unless you have bootloader unlocked. It bootloader gets unlocked phone will boot normal but your account should still been linked as phone was signed into it previously. Strange that it won't recognise your account when using the bootloader unlock tool

That is the problem. I was booted into system but skipped the option for logging into my mi account as it was only to get past the unlock screen. Then did the clean flash again but then with the flash all and lock then I couldn't boot into system anymore. I'm seriously in trouble now, I loved this phone. Thankfully I still have a Mi A1 which I use now but it kinda sucks tho.
I guess its the end for this device.
I cant boot into system. I cant flash TWRP as my bootloader is locked (Token verify failed).

Question Can I update from Global Rom to Indonesian ROM WITHOUT unlocking bootloader

My Phone (Poco F3) comes With Global ROM Firmare (Alioth Global R-KH-MI-XM 12.0.3)
Can I update its firmare To Indonesian ROM Firmware (Alioth Global R-KH-ID-XM 12.5.1)
Using Regular recovery Image *.zip
Without unlocking bootloader!
>>>
And What Will Happen If I do So ?
Will The phone be bricked!
of course no lol. It will not even install. If you wish to do it, unlock bootloader then use mi flash
Must need bootloader to be unlocked
Even if it can be done any modifications with firmware or ROM are a major risk if done on a locked bootloader. unlock the bootloader otherwise risk bricking your device
if i were you...i choose to flash MI EU... & my poco is indonesian rom... trust me it's buggy too after updating 12.5

as far as I know you can not block the bootloader of a stock with a different region from the original, it goes into brick.

Question Can I relock my bootloader after changing China ROM to Global?

Now I'm at MIUI 12.5.10 china and I want to change to global MIUI 12.5 because now I can't use Google unless root the device
And I already unlock the bootloader in this China Rom i just haven't change it to the global Rom
At first I want to flash the Rom through recovery so I try to install the TWRP recovery in this device but I can't install it it keep showing me logo and boot into original recovery
Now I want to change to global 12.5 Rom through fastboot
After I done that can I relock the bootloader ?
And how can I change safety (without bricking the phone) from MIUI 12.5 china to global MIUI 12.5
Thanks you all

Use this tool for stock rom.
Don't relock the bootloader
If you lock it when there is global rom , it will brick .
https://xiaomi.eu/community/ or https://one.revtechs.me/en/index
roms are better than stock.
