belt clip holster incoming - OnePlus 7 Pro Accessories

Call me old fashioned but I like belt clip holsters. Keeps these behemoths of phones out of my pocket and secure. My favorite brand is encased, they make quality ones for most other phones. In the past I've been able to get a similar sized phones holster to hold my OnePlus devices. Couldn't find one for op7 pro. Emailed encased and they said they are in manufacturing. So for us holster people, hang tight, they're incoming
Email received from encased today:
Unfortunately, at the moment we do not carry holsters compatible with the OnePlus 7 Pro but we they are currently being manufactured. Would you like us to register this email

I use unicorn beetle pro -- it's similar to otterbox defender. I bought mine from amazon for around 22 bucks. Copy and paste link in browser search field.

Not for the OP7P

I am using a Nexus 6P Encased belt-clipped holster and it fits great-almost perfect actually with a clear thin case on the op7 pro. Agreed Encased holsters are the best!

Can you try it with the included clear case? If it too tight then my OnePlus carbon case would fit good as it's slightly thinner on all edges(I want to use carbon)

The included clear case fits very well indeed into the N6P holster not too tight at all !
!

Well currently out of stock, and from a lesser known brand you might keep an eye on this listing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R4PJKJV
Also, I will try to add any that I find to the cases guide here.

Very talented case bag project! Kudos

I've used Encased brand holsters for every device I've purchased for as long as I can remember. Love em'. Very happy to hear one in the works for the OP7P.

I've always been very happy with turtleback nylon holsters.
Excellent quality, similar to gun holsters. Unbreakable.
Just search by size, pick horizontal or vertical and leather or nylon.
https://www.turtlebackcase.com/magnetic-closure/

Thinking I might just have to grab a LifeProof Quickmount to use. I've done it in the past on other phones where I couldn't find a decent holster case. Just pick a case that has a flat spot on the back and afix a Quickmount to use with their belt clip. Not ideal since that means the display is facing outwards without protection other than a screen protector, but it is sometimes better than shoving it in a pocket.

Still looking for one of these myself. I don't see the usual "rugged" protective ones with holsters that I like out there yet. I'm using a Poetic case w/kickstand right now, but tough to put in and pull out of a belt case. Rather annoying after using a Zizo case for a long time

I've been using this for about 5 years now with multiple phones. It's been hit with a baseball and at least once a week when im working with no issues. It's the sideways XXL version. Of course put a case on it first
https://www.niteize.com/product/clip-case-sideways.asp

The cases from norve you can all get with a belt clip as option and looks very good:

I want a simlar thing, I think I'm going to just wait for the OEM rugged battery door; looks sweet and will still work with the docks!

I picked up the bodyglove that ATT sells, love it so far feels good in the hand and deosn't add bulk to the phone. Bought the otterbox but that thing is huge don't like at all sucks to cause the store I got it from doesn't do returns so currently selling it on ebay.

I got this one as well. Had it for my Captivate too. Works great and doesn't stick to your pocket lining.
I think the Incipio Feather case should be very thin. Available from them directly or I'm hearing in Radio Shack too.
We have that same case on the wife's iP4 and it adds almost no bulk to the phone. It probably doesn't provide much shock resistance like the Otterbox cases, but prevents scratches and makes it easier to grip.
I purchased a smoke TPU case off of EBay; should be here today or tomorrow. I've used a TPU case on my EVO since about 2 weeks after I had it and I love the feel and the slimness of the case, and the fact that it provides a bumper of sorts to keep the screen from lying on surfaces (unlike the Incipio case).
The one I purchased is item 290530353216 (chose that one due to the seller's location being near to me, only reason really).
If you have prime with Amazon, the case 2 posts above is only $2 with 2 day shipping
http://www.amazon.com/EMPIRE-Black-...LKO4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1298653527&sr=8-2
Can you still dock the phone with the body glove?
The body glove case works with the car dock perfectly. It's a great case. Not to rubbery and not to slippery, just right.
any TPU case is the way to go. rubbery and protective, but not too rubbery to stick in your pocket and not come out.

are they easy to take off and put on? is the material bendable?
I purchased the Speck case at the Att store. Very good protection nice looks without the added bulk of an otterbox case.

Cross posting this from the Incipio thread:
Just scored the Incipio Feather case (in black) - we're already using one on our iPhone 4, and I really like it. I wanted something to cover the back/side, provide better grip, and maybe offer a touch of drop resistance, but that's secondary.
The material is super thin, like 0.5mm or thinner, it basically adds no bulk to the phone. It does come with a screen protector, but I doubt I'll use it, I'm pretty gentle with my phones and they're usually just in my pocket (and I keep my rusty nails and broken glass in a +different+ pocket). Plus the design isn't edge-to-edut
The fit is tight, really clean, the ports/buttons are easily accessible. It uses that popular "soft touch" type material, which has an almost felt like surface. We have a Speck case that's like this. The nice thing vs. silicone is it's grippy, but it doesn't attract dust ~n~ gunk and wipes clean. It also isn't so sticky that it's hard to get out of a pocket!

The Body Glove does not work with these docks. It will fit (extremely tight), but the thickness of the sides of the case near the HDMI and microUSB ports keeps the phone from sitting all the way down on the dock. The end result is that it doesn't trigger or power the device.
I ended up returning my dock because of this.
+1 for the Incipio feather. Its the right mix of style and protection in the this case range. I dropped my phone about two feet this morning, and the feather was more than adequate to protect it.

Seidio ACTIVE Case Review

I received an ACTIVE case from Seidio recently and it was for the Motorola Atrix 4G. Well being a case from Seidio, it had to be something good packed in it.
The package was nicely fitted into an average sized package and it contained an instruction pamphlet and the case itself. No pictures here sorry =(. The case is consists of a 2 piece design where the 1st piece is a silicon based glove and a harder backbone would be attached on to the back to strengthen the case.
Here's the case compared to the other cases

(from left: Otterbox Impact, Motorola Atrix, Seidio ACTIVE case, Otterbox Commuter)
Size : The Seidio ACTIVE case had the slimmest appearance among all the other cases and it was the lightest among them too. The Otterbox Impact was the bulkiest followed by the Otterbox Commuter Case.
Looks good!
Closer view on the top section of the ACTIVE case. There is even a small curve at front camera. Nice one there Seidio!
Front View: The Seidio ACTIVE case covers the sides of the Atrix and has a groove to enable users to place the phone face down and would prevent the screen from getting scratched. However, it is noted that there is no protection on the top section of the phone unlike the Otterbox Commuter. I personally preferred the one without because on the Otterbox Commuter, there was a noticeable amount of dust getting stuck at the earpiece and the front camera. Getting them cleaned was a hassle compared to the ACTIVE case which is much easier to clean.
Back view: Back side of the case. It resembles a fish bone type of design and there are hand grips on the sides which gives a nice secure hold when it is held. The finishing on the back section was also a joy to touch as it was slightly rubberised but still strong enough to withstand impacts.
The earphone jack area and finger print scanner had their own openings. As expected, the case is quite a dust magnet but it is negligible as I found it quite easy to wipe it off. I've yet to find a case which does not attract dust at the moment.
The jacks were left exposed as well. Probably this is to reduce the weight of the case and ease accessibility to the ports. Makes plugging the device in and out from the cable easy =). The rubber grip on the back adds extra functionality by preventing the phone from sliding off the table as well.
Here's another shot where the finishing of this case could be much improved. Guessed it is from the molding process.
Final thoughts: The case from Seidio did not fail to impress me. Protection was great as it felt really solid and the fittings were perfect. The looks were pleasant to the eyes and not too large unlike some cases where you would look like carrying a little rock with you. The only thing that I hoped could be improved was the finishing of the product and it could be molded better. Product well worth the $ 29.95 price tag. Blows all the TPU cases or cheap branded silicon cases out of the water.
Nice review!
I take it that it has a silicone feel to it? I hate the texture of the Ottorbox plastic bits, reminds me of nails on a chalkboard.
Yup, very nice review. Case looks nice but I already see hairs sticking to the silicone. Looks nicer than Otterbox though.

somehow it looked slimmer when it was placed on the atrix :S
These kinds of cases look too "industrial" for my taste. They seem to serve a purpose if you are putting your phone down in hostile environments but my phone is either in my holster or on my desk next to me.

The only two cases I have found that fit in the car dock are
1 - Motorola Ruggedized Battery Door, fits perfect in all docks with the little shim removed.
2 - The butt ugly Body Glove that AT&T sells for way too much money, I bought one too.
I have also tried the Seidio Active, a very nice case with great protection, and the Seidio Surface, preserves some of the slimness of the phone while giving some protection.
I've had this case for a few weeks now. Has anyone who owns one noticed any peeling on the silicone part? At the top of mine is has started to peel a bit. Is this normal?
Edit:
Here's what it looks like. I take good care of the phone too and have never dropped it. This is just from basic use.
Mine sees daily use as a gaming pad for a 3 year old and I've seen no problems.

Case + Holster Round-Up!

Hey guys, just putting together a thread for a round-up for Cases for the Galaxy Nexus that includes/has a Belt Clip Holster with it.
Looks like Seidio came out with their famous awesome Surface case with holster combo, unfortunately it's like the Nexus S case because of the curve/humb on the back, so it's not a slide-on case, it's a snap on front/back, which I didn't like on the Nexus S.

Seidio Active Combo Case with Holster:
Active case is a combination of silicone and hard plastic.
Works with GSM 2000mah Extended Battery, VERY tight fit though
http://www.seidioonline.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BD2-HK3SSGNLK-BK
Anyways just searching on eBay found some case+Holster combos.
Posting it here to ask if anyone has them, or want to buy them and let us know!
Qmadix "Holster Shell Combo"
Works with GSM 2000mah Extended Battery.
My review of this case: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20751992

PureGear Case Holster Belt Clip Kickstand:

Verizon's Case + holster combo kickstand (Exactly the same as above but with different pattern):
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/...ryDetails&archetypeId=12926&accessoryId=49884
Verizon sells it in a bundle (with car charger) and seperate in stores. Online only the bundle.
Otterbox Defender Series:
Looks like holster can be used both screen in and screen out.
http://www.otterbox.com/Samsung-Gal...or=20&start=1&cgid=samsung-galaxy-nexus-cases
Generic:
This one looks like the Qmadix case/holster but is a bit different:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Protector-C...rizon-Samsung-Galaxy-Nexus-i515-/310364277257
Generic Case, 2 piece snap on like Seidio Surface. No felt inside. Very cheap price:
http://shop.htcpedia.com/galaxy-nexus-holster-case-combo.html
Anybody find any more?
Can you also point out those that work with the extended battery?
I have an Otterbox Defender, phone can go in both ways. Screen out for if you want to use the kickstand.
are there any non-defender holsters that cover the top and bottom of the GN? once the horizontal dock comes out in the US, i'm getting that, and i'll be taking it out of the case often.
UPDATE, found another case/holster combo.
I really want to get a holster for the gym, but I haven't heard enough about any of the available options to order one yet. Hoping some owners will chime in here!
Of course not to forget the official Verizon shell/holster combo.
It has a built in kickstand.
I'm using this one right now actually.
I have the Qmadix and it takes a little flexing to get it right, but you can use it with the extended battery. I've had multiple Qmadix shell/holsters for multiple devices, and they never disappoint.
Seidio released another case: The Seidio Active case. I'm hoping that the size of the case is similar to the otterbox Commuter; and I will be using them in conjunction. If not, I'll probably try to mod the otterbox to fit. here's hoping.
Anyone try just a holster with a jel type case?
After the incredible and losing one from the Verizion case I'm not going that direction again.

That's good to hear as I just ordered one of these off eBay.
I used a side pouch for my Droid and was thinking of doing the same for the GN but it's just too darn slick to easily grab and putting a case on it makes it too big to remove from the holster w/o using 2 hands.

Looks like Seidio updated their website to say that their cases are compatible with the LTE and International GSM version now. I also emailed them earlier this week and they said they're compatible with the same case.
Anyone have the Surface case for the GSM yet? Is the phone loose in the case?
i got my seidio active tonight, great case and holster. it's almost the exact same size as the surface case and you can use the extended battery and extended cover without any issues. THIS will be the case i use for the phone.
I have the GSM version of the Nexus, I am also interested in both the Seidio and Qmadix anyone here know or can report if these cases/holster work on the GSM version ? are they tight fit or a bit lose ?
thanks

sure..
they seem to have cut down a little on bulk from the other active cases, as far as protection level goes i'd say it's a little below the defender but will suit my needs just fine
the small gaps between the skeleton and the silicone on the bottom of the phone back and front are due to the extended battery and cover in there. i personally have no problem at all with these gaps since the case flexes to accommodate the battery rather than compresses too tight and force fits it.
if you want any more let me know

Review of Trident Aegis case for Nexus 7 (2013) w/lots of pics!!!

This is a review of Trident Aegis series case for Nexus 7 (2013). http://www.tridentcase.com/shop-products/google-nexus-7-ii/aegis-case-google-nexus-7-ii.aspx
Seems like most of the cases for tablets fall into 2 categories, folio book cover type and rugged outdoor type. With rugged cases, some might look tough and claim to survive any extreme situation, but only a few can back it up with actual results of independent testing. Aegis series of cases definitely falls into the later category. I have tested a number of Trident cases in the past with various smartphones and tablets, and can tell you with certainty they mean business. And here is why.
The case arrived in a very nice package with a front clear display window to give you a full visual of the product. Flipping it over reveals a detailed list of all the supported features to give you a nice walk though of what to expect. I think the one which I was impressed the most with: tested with 26 drops onto a concrete from 4ft. I would never want to experience that, but knowing someone tested it already gives me a piece of mind. After taking the case out of the box, you do realize it's not exactly featherlight at 162g, but most of the weight comes from the inner silicone shell with an excellent shock absorption property and full wrap around design with added corner protection. For additional protection, you also get a 2nd layer of hardened PC material which holds inner silicone layer from pulling around the sides and has a grip assistance handle along the sides. The bottom two speaker ports also have a dust filter built into PC layer.
The inner silicone layer has power and volume up/down buttons sealed and covered, and offers flap covers for micro-usb charging port and headphone jack. I do have to note that power and volume buttons have a nice tactile response, but power button was a bit harder to push in comparison to volume. Perhaps that was an intension so you don't accidentally turn it on if you drop the case, but if you want a more touch sensitive response you can always put a little piece of sticky/mask tape inside of the rubber button to improve it. Camera port had a precise opening and a padding around for extra protection. On a front of the case, you get a nice wrap around protection and bezel coverage which enables you to put tablet face down without a worry of the display glass touching a surface and also additional skid protection. And speaking of screen protection. it's very rare to see it with other cases, but Trident also provides you with a quality scratch resistant screen protector. That was a very pleasant bonus.
Overall, this is one great case worth considering if you are planning to use your Nexus 7 outdoors or perhaps you let your kids play with a tablet or use it in a car mount (like the one offered by Arkon which are in partnership with Trident) over the bumpy ride. Any of these activities will give you a piece mind knowing this case was tested already by dropping it 26 times onto concrete from a 4ft height Also, on Amazon for $35-$40 its not a bad value.
Here are the pictures.

quick question/opinion
I ordered the Seidio Dilex case yesterday and it came to be $47 and change with shipping...today I saw that the Trident Aegis dropped to $30 and change with free shipping. I was torn between both of these cases and was wondering in your opinion which one is the better case. I know that the stand is a huge plus on the Dilex but truthfully I won't use it at all. I do like the idea of using it as a screen cover while traveling. As far as thickness goes which of the two is the slimmer one? also, I read somewhere that the silicone on the Dilex is a dust/lint magnet, did you find this to be correct? how does the Aegis compare with attracting dust/lint? I'd appreciate your help and advice. Thanks!!!

Why don't you order both and then decide which one you like better? As long as you order from Amazon directly, rather than a specific seller, returns are hassle free. Everybody will have a personal preference since YMMV.
In my personal opinion, and considering that I review all the cases (you can check the Index in my signature), DILEX has a better quality material. They are both equally slim and have similar inner silicone and outer exoskeleton design. Seidio silicone will attract more dust/lint, and you can see it clearly from both of my detailed reviews since I included a lot of pictures. At the same time, Trident exoskeleton is more plastic-y and slippery; it will slide off the surface if you put the tablet face up. For traveling, DILEX screen cover will be a saver, and unlike typical folio cases, use just use it when traveling or as a kickstand; when you don't need it - you don't have to drag it around. And there is a price difference of $17. You have all these pros and cons, gotta figure out which one works for you
I've got my Trident Aegis this morning and I must say that I'm very impressed with it. Build quality is excellent, it feels sturdy and it looks good. I recommend this case to everyone

Qi chargers
Hello,
Does anyone know if this case works well with the wireless qi chargers?
Thank you.
Good ol MIL-STD-810F. I wonder if they have the same testing facilities we have here at work.

What cases do you use?

I love this device and I'm waiting to get the Tech21 case for cheap on ebay for this phone as I loved it on my V30+.
Figured I'll go colorful until then.
I settled on this and it'll be here next week.View attachment 4777486
Got it in today.

This is an excellent 2 piece case with hard shell protection on all corners and a nice soft touch feel for 9 bux. It's very, very close to the Incipio cases I had on my S5. My Incipios have slightly softer tpu, whick looks just a bit thicker at shock points. On the other hand, this case is a little thinner, while remaining tough. It even has more hard protection on the top of the phone, and the plastic case feels stronger for that extra edge.
It's so cheap, I bought both color combos to mix and match, plus I'll have the replacement for whenever the plastic eventually breaks from a fall (even my Incipio cases broke to save the phone).
LG G8 ThinQ Case, Androgate... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RRMQNKZ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
If you use this, remember to install and remove in 2 steps. Like most good 2 piece cases, the plastic shell holds the phone tightly, be careful how it flexes around the key cutouts during removal. It seems smoothest to remove the power button edge first.
Although the Incipio feels slightly softer, I'm confident the protection of this is roughly equal in everyday use.
CoverOn case rocks
Great case. TP around the edges and poly-carbonate back that is clear. Works great with wireless charging. very good fit.

It doesn't have that rainbow look due to the back being glass?

I have the following cases, but am currently just using a skin from slickwraps.
Ghostek Covert
CruzerLite Leather Texture
Ringke Fusion X
Ringke Fusion
Encased Slim Armor
I have also spent a good amount of time at the carrier shops trying out the overpriced (but pretty great) cases:
Speck Presidio Grip
Tech21 Evo Check
Casemate Tough Clear
If anyone has questions or wants photos, let me know.

I really want to see how that CruzerLite looks in real life. It was the one I was torn on before I picked that blue one I've got. I definitely want the Tech21 but it's gonna have to wait until I can find one on eBay for less someday.

I'll take some photos once I'm home. It's a very nice case and I use it when I get tired of looking at a greasy, fingerprinted device. I've have a love/hate with Tech21 cases - they're great protection but they add so much width. I'd say they're worth it if you really want that 10ft drop protection without going to something beefier. I'm a desk jockey so I'm really enjoying the phone+skin and I only slap on a case if I know I'm going to be somewhat active. It's a shame there aren't more options for LG phones. No love if your name doesn't start with Apple or Samsung.
Septembersrain - It does have a few small areas on the clear back smaller than a dime that look a bit extra shiny since they are in contact with the glass. Not rainbow though.
This case is awesome, very sturdy, has a lip to protect edges of screen, slim, supports wireless charging, kick stand on back for propping up phone in landscape mode, 3 colors, perfect cutouts.

Same as you will similar, simple and effective and still showing its colour.
I'm rockin the Ringke Fusion, aqua blue on black. Case does its job. Looks nice. Not very comfortable to hold though.
I'm using the spigen tough armor. Loving it so far! doesn't add too much bulk, but it's a solid case. the kickstand is a fantastic feature
I use TPU cases from X-Level.
Spigen Slim Armor, can't really go wrong with that one
And for $20 it's a decent price imo.
Spigen Liquid Crystal
Spigen Liquid Crystal with a Speck Grab Tab.
literally using the one it came with, thick and sturdy enough and hasn't yellowed yet either (crossing my fingers)

I use these also, they're great cases and work perfectly with wireless charging.
any love for the G8S? i guess not
Im using the Ghosttek case and so far its been what I was wanting. No more sliding off flat tables, or out of my pocket in the car and falling down under the seat anymore. All the buttons work well and has a minimal effect on the overall size of the phone very good case if you arent looking for otterbox style
