OnePlus 7 Flip Case hunt - OnePlus 7 Accessories

Well I returned the OnePlus 7 Pro.. just couldn't live with the weight/ratio/curves.
Oneplus 7 inbound.
Was pretty happy with the Nillkin flip case for the Pro with its all round the sides protection and seemingly good build quality.
How disappointed was I then to discover the 7 non Pro variant of the case ditches the all round protection in favour of an open top and bottom design.
Dammit
So I've shelled out for this one on Amazon.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/GEEMAI-Oneplus-Shockproof-Kickstand-Smartphone-Black/dp/B07QR3DKLS
Dislike the kickstand craze with a passion. If I can I'll glue that half glued sucker.. but a mate has a case similar to this and the magnetic clasp works great.
I'd prefer a smooth lining as microfibre hold dirt which could be grit = scratch or worse.
I'm not a fan of wallet cases. I won't carry cards in this.
I'll review this case when it arrives.
"To prevent the broken" lol

Well the case arrived but not the phone yet. Hopefully it'll be a week at worst [emoji853]
Case is nicely packaged/presented, bag style. Very light but possibly in a bad way.. the covering may be a bit flimsy.. we'll see. The magnetic clasp works like a dream. Grabs its mate even when folded back on itself. Clear soft PSU 'glove' covers all sides thoroughly so +1 there. The lining is soft but not that annoying material that collects dust etc..
Seriously considering some double sided tape to weld down the damn kick stand.
So far, without the phone lol, 8/10
+'ves;
Light
All round protection
Full screen protection
Perfect magnetic closure
Non dust attracting soft lining
-'ves:
Possibly not hard wearing

Hello, I´m looking for a flip case with a auto wake up function for the display.
Unfortunately, an official of oneplus does not exist. Can anyone help, is there one with this function?
Or is there any missing sensor in Oneplus 7? I've already tried it with a magnet, but that does not work.
Thanks in advance

kickstand case??

can anyone tell me if this case will work with the vibrant. if not, where can i find a kickstand case, other than the bodyglove brand.
Bodyglove has a cool case that has a kickstand. It's around 20-25
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
i have both the black mesh kickstand as well as the bodyglove. they both fit and work. the mesh kickstand may not be the top choice of some vibrant owners because it does not protect/cover the borders of the front glass/face of the vibrant as most cases do. i've had problems with the bodyglove case as it appears to be scratching the back case of my vibrant. i had the same exact issue on bodyglove case with kickstand on my hd2.
.
i let my sister have my bodyglove case. i actually didn't have a problem with the weaknesses of the black mesh case since the makers of it actually put some soft padding within the case to prevent scratches on the battery/back cover of the vibrant.

I think that seller was selling 3 diff colors; black, white, and pink(?). I bought the black one 3 wks ago and recieved it about a wk ago. Initially, I thought that it was going to be shiny hard plastic case but to my pleasant surprise, it wasn't. The exterior is covered in a thin layer of hard rubber, covering the black hard shiny plastic underneath, while the inside of it is slightly padded. It looks a lot better in person than in pics.
Is the kickstand serving its purpose? Hell yea, it is...it makes watching movies on my dope SAMOLED screen that much more awesome The hard rubber makes for a good grip so it won't easily slip out of your palms like it sometimes would w/out it and it gives the phone an overall slick/cool (IMO) look. The only downside so far is that I'm getting some very small worn out spots where the hard rubber has rubbed off but it's not a big deal though.
Pics or it didn't happen, you say? Well, check 'em out !

Low Budget self-made Camera Lens protection

Okay here’s the problem…..
All those threads:

didn’t gave me a solution in how to protect my camera and keep the phone slim.
Well after searching my ass off I found this case that on the one hand gives maximum cam protection but on the other hand blows the phone up like hell. The thickness of that case was unacceptable for me.
So here’s what I did:
I took an cheap soft silicon case from here
and a furniture pad, scissors, scalpel and a pencil like this:

I Cut the holes in the furniture pad where the SGS3 needs them and stuck it on the TPU case...... et voilá:
In addition to the hama navi bag in which I already carried my retired SGS1 around this seems quite a protection against dust, coins and so on….
No worries, if I need a fancy housing, I chose this flip case, which has as you can see quite an acceptable camera lens protection as well.
But as neither my self made solution nor my flip case satisfies me completely I´m still looking for your solutions….
My dream would be a back cover that has a build in function as my old Nokia 6680. For those who won´t remember just like this....

Anyone knows a backplate with such a cool mechanism? I think as quite a few people seem to be concerned about scratching their cam lenses due to the design of the sgs3, such a back cover would sell like (as we in germany say) warm buns....
Greetz ye old bapsack
Why dont used ultra thin glass protector? They not really cheap, but offering great protection and no noise

2 reasons:
1. I don´t wanna mess up the cam Quality
2. I don´t wanna put glue to the cam lens, which might not get off properly again!
and by the way I´d have to cut the lens protection out of this >>ultra thin glass protector<<, which is again piece of handicraft.....

Sophisticase Frameless Case Review

Thanks to MobileFun for providing me with the Sophisticase Frameless Case, they have a large range of accessories for any mobile/tablet device especially the nexus 7 so it is worth checking them out
The case is slim overall and has a fake leather textured finish on the outside and on the inside we have a grey soft touch fabric. All of the buttons and ports are accessible.

As you can see, we also have a hand strap.
Fitting the nexus 7 is very easy, the fit overall is pretty much perfect, you are able to remove the case quickly if needed.
One of the areas that I really like about this case is that you can use it as a desk stand, there are two angles to choose from that make it perfect for video watching.
The case is pretty light.
Another feature I love is that the case is compatible with the sleep and wake function of the nexus 7 i.e. when you open the case, the screen automatically turns on and when you close the case, the screen goes off.
In terms of protection, it is great for protection from scrapes and minor knocks but I wouldn't expect it to do too well come to high drops onto concrete...
Conclusion:
Overall this is a fantastic case especially when you consider the price! It might not be the best for protection from high drops but it will protect the nexus 7 tablet from the majority of small drops, scrapes and most importantly protect the screen from scratches. If you are wanting more protection, you will just have to put up with the extra bulk and weight from the likes of the Trident Aegis Case and Seidio Dilex Case.
I can't really fault this case at all except for the speaker cut outs, they are poorly done and cover most of the speaker grille holes.
Pros:
Cheap
Acts as a landscape desk dock with two angles to choose from
Minimal bulk & light
Nice finish overall
Sleep/Wake magnet function
Cons:
Speaker cut outs poorly done
Looks exactly like the $5 Moko case I bought back in July...
Sums it up nicely.

Poetic Case Review with pics

I have been searching for a slim case that added no bulk to my sleek nexus 5. I looked at Ringke, Spigen but all the reviews on amazon said they damaged the phone corners. I was going to settle for a soft TPU case when I stumbled across this. Poetic sand black case for nexus 5. Even better it was 4.95 with free prime shipping. I figured I would take a shot since I know a lot of people like the poetic cases.
I must say I really do love the case. the cut outs for the buttons are nice, the top and bottom are exposed fully rather than cutouts but the case extends a bit past the ends so they would be somewhat protected on a drop. The case fits like a glove but I have had it on and off a few times and so far no damage to the corners. It adds almost no bulk, infact it makes the phone that much better for me. The sand texture on the case makes it really grippy. It does not slide around in my coat pocket, It feels really nice in my hand, almost like a coated textured metal. It extends far enough that if I flip the phone the glass does not touch the table and the camera lens does not poke out past the back.
Short of a bumper case, which I was not too crazy about this is probably the best case I have seen so far for the N5.

How difficult is it to take off the case? It seems more or less like a SLIM case but instead of using the texture on SLIM it uses sand.
Should've done a forum search. I did a review on the same case about a week and half ago, mang.

More reviews the merrier. OP isn't asking, hes doing his own review.
Decent case but find it unbranded as "quicksand" on ebay for $1-3. Sit back and wait 3 weeks for it to arrive though.

Rugged Case: Anyone willing to try the iGadgitz Tyre Tread Case? Amazon.com $2.99

I know a lot of people here like their rugged style cases. I love minimalism so it's a little too big for me, but this one just popped up and might interest some people. There are no reviews yet, so XDA might need a guinea pig to be first to test it out.
It's a silicone case, so I figure it's squishy. I do like the tyre tread design. And with the F1 2014 season starting up this weekend, what car guy/gal wouldn't want to walk around with a tyre stuck against their face? Haha

The fact that the case wraps around the top and bottom of the bezel ruins it for me :| i rely on the notification LED too much. But I absolutey love the design of the case on the back!!!
I think they needed a big lip over the top, sides, and bottom because it's silicone. It's the only way to hold the case on securely with a soft, stretchy material. If it was TPU it wouldn't be needed.
With it being silicone, it would probably be easy to punch a hole/notch manually with a paper hole puncher; if you really wanted the notification light exposed.
I just love those tyre treads though.

LOL fail for covering up the notification light.

I can't say much for the case being on the nexus 5, but I know for a fact it's no good on my iPod touch, especially when you're taking it out of your pocket, it flops around. It is good for drops though, I'll give it that
