Need more aosp based rom after sony xzp stop pushing update

This is a dual sim(g8142) rom now, my phone(g8141) cannot recognized the sim card, but I think it is easy to fix it.
No support to 4K nor higher Hz, no hires audio, if you like these thing, don't flash it.
Color controller from AEX, not stock, but useful.
It has three camera app, aosp camera,sony camera and los camera, but .....emmm you know, google camera has the best HDR.
Based on AOSP, without any extra, useless transplant components, nice rom

Great rom,but it will carsh working on my G8142(Chiniese ver,dual) and reboot again and again.
Well, it looks like I didn't wipe the data ,but I have done and try this there times and it's still doesn't work.
I wonder if you have any idea to solve this problem.

ROM is great, I used a day (g8142), found some problems, the probability of unlocking after the lock screen can not wake up, wifi disconnected, using 2.4Ghz wifi often automatically disconnected, can not appear connection, close wifi, reopen Can work normally

If you are not the official member of AEX team. add "Unofficial" in the title please. If you are the official member of AEX team, I think you'd better set selinux at enforcing instead of permissive.

I have WiFi and hotspot problems too
WiFi seems not working very well and hotspot just keep showing error
edit:after using for a while i notice some background process will crash randomly
and safetynet did not pass cts profile (not using any digital wallet thing so I'm ok with it and i guess... it's my problem?)
Any build instructions?
I tried building one using Sjll's trees (adjusted for AEX) and I'm getting these errors during compilation phase.
Is there anything else I need to do for a successful build?
This is just the beginning of the compilation and I'm not sure if there would be any other errors that needs to be resolved...
(PS: Before this error, I also encountered one regarding duplicate libjson which I resolved by removing external/json-c from the manifest.)

EDIT: It seems something's broken as I found this (unanswered at the time of the edit).
EDIT 2: It seems this commit might be related as it referenced an early commit in LOS' frameworks/av which was marked "DO NOT MERGE" (thus did not enter AEX's frameworks/av). Turned out an issue has also been created for this matter... guess I need to wait (until they merge the latest security patches as well as related stuffs), or just cherry-pick that particular commit and move on.
No wonder I didn't get any answer.
EDIT 3: After cherrypicking the commit in question I'm able to complete the build. Sjll's modified hardware/qcom/audio-caf/msm8998 tree is not needed when building AEX. However, it seems I need to look after some warnings generated during the build process.
EDIT 4: It seems the resulted build also suffered from the inability to initialize SIM cards (and freeze then reboot as a result). Guess either a newer stock firmware base is needed or the warnings generated during the build process need to be taken care of.
EDIT 5: Not sure if kernel matters... it took way too long to get the SIM card back working. Not sure how, but I suspect enabling airplane mode right after first boot and let other components finish initializing first might help...

There are Ambient Display Gestures accessible within the Settings >> System menu, where you will find an additional "Gestures" menu at the bottom which enables Sweep to wake/Notification Pulse/etc.

Hello! I've seen MicroG listed as a feature, and then a link to GAPPS. I don't understand it. Please, could you be so kind to clarify this to me?
Also, this seems based in the work by @kessaras, @ThePiGuy, @steadfasterX and all the team, as you are using Titan kernel, and there is no mention to them in the OP.
Same thing goes for the two remaining bugs in the branch developed by the mentioned ones, the BT call bug and the flashlight tile....
Or maybe I'm wrong?

Thanks for mentioning it , but I'm there in GitHub anyway @ThePiGuy is trying to bring up a stock kernel so that people flash Titan separately if they want to have a highly modified kernel. Using now Titan is the only option since there is no other kernel that would work.
Does someone know how to activate the one hand mode?

No it matters. NOT because we work hard to make things work and want some honey in our ears. No! it matters because that's the minimum one should do when using work from others and so showing proper credits is kind of Netiquette here and elsewhere.
I guess he just forgot it or wasn't aware of it so all good.

Dude. I know the story. I didnt have time to put it in when I made the original post. I recognise the work done by you and @kessaras and @ThePiGuy. We all do this in our spare time, and I fully understand that I would not be able to build these ROMs if you guys hadnt busted your balls fixing the device trees for the G4..
I have added all the info in the second post. So, can we all smoke the peace pipe again?
By the way this ROM is awesome, got it installed on my Moto G4, def up there with RR and AICP as the best ROMs I've used although this probably edges it. Wasn't expecting to see it on LG G4 so bonus. Gonna have to try it out at some point (will have to look for dual boot for G4 or backup my current ROM and give it a try).
Happy to see new ROM for G4. Much appreciated.
In the future i'll give a try.
I thought I would never see AEX in G4 again but I was wrong:silly:
I'd tried this build(h815) and the system ui was pretty laggy, even with the 6 cores in performance mode ... (Just like I need five seconds to open the dialer app...)
Did clean flash and flashing only the ROM and the result it's the same.
Anyway, thank for your efforts and time.

Not tested specifically with AEX but I doubt it
The kernel used (Titan) is based off the kernel from the F500K as that device got official Nougat from LG. Unfortunately that device did not have an FM tuner and so we lost FM as a result

Did you try rebooting a couple of times?
Its weird that you would get that slowness just with a basic ROM install..
I have had reports of slowness when restoring from a Google Cloud backup (which I have reproduced myself) , but nothing like what you mentioned..
Try a couple of reboots and see if that helps..

I've tried everything and the result is the same... I don't know if its ROM related because I can use AICP, LOS without problems...

Anyone had success in downloading this from Google Drive?. All it says for me is downloading with no indication of progress for 45 minutes and then a unsuccessful message. Source forge doesn't show the 12/21 build.

I don't use gapps and there's no messaging app pre-installed. I'd suggest OP to include a messaging app and an email client. By the way, great work, so many features, there are some conflicting settings combination which I think are going to be fixed eventually. :good:

Maybe you removed some essential app by mistake. Try any system uninstall app from playstore. I used System App Remover and removed 7 to 8 non essential apps. My ROM is working fine.

Rom deleted from download site?
Here are some bugs that i have found:
1. The phone freezes when making a call with Dual SIM.
2. No APN"s are shown at the sim settings.
3. It doesn't show if the Network is in 2G, 3G, or 4G Mode.
4. No Radio music over the phone speakers.

There's a setting where you can show the network icon. About the APN, you have to put the info manually.

Update: So ya, if you use the APN on AOSiP, just copy all that's in your APN so that way you can get H+/4G data going.
Other findings---> Hmmm... Also Substratum App crashes when applying a theme, Rom forced me back to Recovery. Flashed rescue zip and everything is ok. Just a heads up to avoid crash, do not enable theme: "Settings" and "Settings Suggestion.
Other Update: Even without tweaking CPU, the phone runs so much better than AOSiP by performance and battery life.
I think the main problem is that no APN is being set or displayed.
I had to go back to the Xiaomi EU Rom. I will wait till this problem gets fixed.

Yes, APNs have not automatically set for me in any ROM except the Xiaomi ones. I usually manually enter the APNs.
Finger print did not work for me. Did it work for anyone else? My hardware is 6GB/128GB.
Well that sucks. How do you suppose to use another SIM if you in another country and don't know the APN.

i am having trouble to use "gcam 6.1 advanced 1.4" available on the google drive. it crashes on night sight. I tried to flash camera 2 api 1.1 pie.zip but nothing happens.
any ideas?
also, is there a way to install mi max stock camera as well, i found it way better for panorama photos?!

Although there's no icon to indicate traffic in data, you can manually turn in "show net activity in statisbar".

Its very smooth and can see why you like it. Everything very smooth and fluid on this one. There are so many choices now and I will try them all. Haven't tried Extended as yet but like Revenge as it has visual changes to toggles and switches

No android 10 rom until we got device tree .. and our only user which knows how to perfectly doing it is MrColdbird and he's a busy man.

Well I see oneplus links from your telegram page so I hope it be available soon. Trying the xiaomi.eu release but chinese closed beta had more and it seems they compromised to add global elements. Icons are not same look like old and animations not same. Menu and other usual are ok but some of the visuals are badly lacking from the chinese closed beta

I flashed xiaomi.eu 9.9.26 and it's very good. Use future theme with animated icons and everything. What's your telegram name ? We'll be able to speak about this there.

Are the dual cameras working on this rom?
So I've just received my Mi max 3 and I haven't even opened the sealed box yet. I've tried Aosp Extended in many other devices, and I'm a genuine fan of this rom. So the first thing I'm planning on doing is to have it on my phone. How's the quality of the stock AOSP camera? Does it use the second camera for aperture mode? if not, is it possible to install the stock Xiaomi camera?

Stock camera on AOSP custom roms are Miui Camera. And as said before you still can easily install gcam from google.

It doesn't work for me. In TWRP (3.3.1-1208-CN_wzsx150) i always get this error when i try to flash the AEX:
Failed to unmount /system: No such volume

Hi this is great Rom. But I found some bug,
- share button is not working in some online shopping app
- as seen in this picture
As soon as I drag the selection. The copy paste option will gone.
I will try pixel experience plus and see if the problem persist.
Flashed one week ago, this Rom is one of the best thing I ever flashed.
Happy to go far away from MIUI crappy, strange UI. Back home!
Phone is working at its best! Fluid and stable!
FM issue is not important, as I listen to the radio only with headphones.
I only would have a minor, minor, minor thing: the ability to center the status bar Clock, and change colours, without going to Gravity Box...

Excellent rom, no bugs spotted (at least from what i use).
Great On screen Time.
Truth to be told never expected to be that good.

our device have 2 diffirent fingerprint sensors , Fpc and Goodix , The goodix one works ,, the other fpc sensor is still death for now.
Anybody know if face unlock is working? Couldn't get it to run on the other 10 rom.

No, I did not. Basically ran it clean after flashing.
