Finally i have Android Q on my Honor 9 Lite!!!!
I have used the gsi images of treble experimentation and this results
A- If you have Stock Pie Emui 9 on you device this procedure not work. You need to use first another script for downgrade without problem to Oreo (any version, better the older version) and i ll talk of this argument in a specific thread
B- If you have Stock Oreo Emui 8 rom you are welcome and can install without bug Android 10 with this procedure
1) Download and unzip this script in a folder. Note that the script is in the new language of Windows PowerShell (.ps1) and for work you need to install a modified version of adb and fastboot that convert your system to use windows powershell instead of cmd.
2) Install the powershell package of adb and fastboot (setup exe here) and connect the phone to pc in fastboot mode
3) Launch the script clicking with the right of the mouse and select the option "execute powershell"
4) Give all permission to powershell with ALL and confirm
5) The phone at reboot will report that data are corrupted. Don't worry!!! Fix this with a format directly from erecovery and at the next boot Android Q 10 will take the boot!

Whats bug this rom?

camera and data signal for now

it s go out the new version but doesn t boot. I ll tried to works to fix the bugs of the first

Yes, I have seen it.... Seems that I got to go back first to stock. And install EMUI9
Another question. Did you make some phone calls or hear music over the speakers?
I'm now on lineageos 16, openkirn project, comming from EMUI8 and I can't hear the other person in a phone call, or listen to music or Whatsapp audio thru the speakers.
Thanks for the info.

i don't yet tested with sim because is not my primary phone

I'm confused. Is not our phone A only version?
Then, I should install this one from HAVOC: https://download.havoc-os.com/arm64-aonly/Havoc-OS-v4.1-20210208-arm64-aonly-Official-GApps.img.xz
Isn't it?

Yes, running EMUI 8. On EMUI 9.1 is your phone A/B (=bvs, bgs, etc).
Btw, you can flash and use all Treble GSI ROMs tested in P20 lite section .
(P20 Lite = Honor 9 lite). Also you can install TWRP, recovery, Magisk etc. linked in this section .

[Guide] [monet] Flashing GSI Roms

Hey y'all, after 2 days of headaches with a semi bricked device from a friend i was finally able to get a GSI Rom running.
Here's what you need:
1. Unlocked Bootloader
2. Stock Recovery
https://mega.nz/file/m4Q0iJpR#wP9U5gpXwTVrSWezkaoJqDjgb0zadULTLpb8kLAZJRE
3. GSI Rom (i used Bliss and it works flawless)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...ent/unofficial-blissroms-q-mod-bless-t4138687
4. A PC running Linux
So the problem is that this device comes with a super partition. That means TWRP isnt able to flash a System Image because there is not a system partition instead there is this super partition wich is new to Android 10 and is dynamic. However you need to boot to fastbootd mode to access the system partition inside the super partition.
Important!! You need Stock Recovery for this you can not boot into fastbootd via TWRP at this moment. Also you need Linux because there is only a unsigned Driver for Windows for the fastbootd mode and i dont recommend using unsigned chinese drivers.... i use Manjaro that worked out of the box.
Mi 10 Lite 5G is Treble A/B enabled so we need an A/B Rom Bliss is providing that. Follow these steps to flash the GSI.
1. Reboot to bootloader then enter: fastboot reboot fastboot (there should be the text fastbootd in yellow)
2. fastboot -w (there is maybe an error but this is ok)
2. fastboot erase system
3. fastboot flash system "GSI-ROM-name-without-quotes".img
4. fastboot reboot bootloader
5. fastboot reboot
If it bootloops your GSI is not compatible (Havoc for example) just try it till you're satisfied. This is an first step for Stock Android on our Device. i will build some Custom Roms in the next weeks.
EDIT:
Ok i got Bliss fully up and running Fingerprint and even Google Pay works! There is some things you need to do though.
Preparation:
Stock Recovery
Bliss GSI
Audio Policy Fix.xml: https://mega.nz/file/i4QWkbSD#a3U90V1kk0S01DYxjN3YH-0HsAbo_UUU_rMd7LhYLFc
Procedure:
1. Boot into fastbootd like described above and flash the GSI
2. After boot set Magisk there should be a Magisk link if you open it this Procedure should run automatically
3. In Magisk Download MagiskHide Props Config, Download it and install it reboot.
4. Run in terminal on the device (i used Termux) the command "props" (without quotes) and select option 1 then select from the list Xiaomi and then Device Mi 10 Lite 5G Europe after that go back to main menu and select option 2 select again Mi 10 Lite 5G and nothing else
5. Reboot and check Safety Net it should get a pass if not you did something wrong
6. Download a Root File explorer (i used JRummys Root Explorer)
7. Copy the Audio Policy xml to your phone and replace the file on /vendor/etc to get Headphone Jack and Headset Mics working
8. Go to Settings - phh treble settings - Qualcomm Features and Tick use alternate audio policy
9. Go back to misc Features and tick disable audio effects this gets Notification and Alarm Sounds and Ringtone working.
10. Reboot
11. Check if Bluetooth works it should if not well i honestly dont know for sure
And your Device should run perfectly fine, its crazy fast and i got a 8h Screen on Time. Well thats for me good enough for now im back to cocking Custom Roms
I was struggling with this for a very long time and couldn't flash any GSI!! Thank you so much for this guide, I will try it now and give you a feedback, but where can I find the unsigned chinese drivers for windows? and do you think I can flash android 11 GSI`s like Phh on our device??
Honestly i dont know, it should work just try it. Worse that can happen is a bootloop. I added the Stock Recovery in First Post. And here is a link to the unsingned Xiaomi Driver use at your own risk!
https://c.mi.com/oc/thread-3312019-1-0.html
works perfectly, then I tried to flashing Bliss 14.0.3 and it booted up and worked and now I`m testing ProjectStreak android 11 GSI also boots and almost everything works except for the fingerprint sensor and A LOT of lag in the System UI! think I will revert back to Bliss 12.2 for now!
Thanks again!
I cannot receive SMS with Bliss.
@Legacyleader
I see that you are from Germany. I am also from Germany. Do you have Telegram?
Hi @Benni1123 yes i have telegram, SMS Problem could be solved via APN Settings. In my Case Drillisch had no APN setup after that it was working fine.

Hi Legacyleader you save this device, thanks
i can't seem to get any GSI rom to boot, alway's end up in a bootloop. My Monet Device is unlocked with the latest V12.0.3.0.QJIEUXM Rom.
It enters fastbootd (yellow letters) but when i enter fastboot -w i get error: segmentation fault.
If i flash system after this and reboot, i always end up in a bootloop (device boots to Mi logo and instantly reboots, goes back to mi logo, instantly reboots etc..)
It feels like im missing something obviously? ;-)
@Legacyleader2 do i need to wipe anything after the system flash? if i follow your steps i always end up bootlooping. Tried Andy's Lineage17.1 GSI, Phh AOSP GSI(v222), tried bless, bliss all of them are instant bootlooping. When i flash superpartition over it, system instantly boots stock rom.
Any idea what i'm doing wrong?
@Legacyleader2 look DM please
Hello,
Mi 10 Lite (Monet) owner here! (and new on XDA)
These detailed instructions almost convinced me to make the jump and flash a GSI on my phone purchased recently. It looks like the "standard" procedure for flashing a GSI ROM with fastbootd.
I know I can fallback on the official MIUI ROM in case of problem, but before flashing, I would like to ensure there is at least one GSI which can keep my phone working as a phone, with all basic features working good.
Could you please provide a feedback about your experience?
1) Which GSI did you try?
I am about to try phhusson LineageOS's GSI first, and if it does not work, I'll try Bliss as it looks like it works like a charm
2) How is the battery life affected?
I really enjoy the battery life with MIUI, I don't want it to be cut by two
3) Does the cameras (front, back, pictures/videos modes) still work?
4) Do calls and SMS work?
5) During calls, is the call audio quality good on both sides?
I had issues with some ROM on my previous phones like echos.
6) Does the fingerprint reader work?
Additionally, what about Bluetooth, NFC, speakers, audio output from jack, applications/games performance, ...?
Maybe we could create a post to summarize our successful experiences.
Thank you for your time
does someone successfully installed xposed in GSI bliss room thanks?
Hello everyone one!
I wanted to share my experience after this amazing guide, I managed to follow the guide and flash bliss GSI then I was flashed A LOT of different android 11 GSIs and I was using the AOSP 11 GSI for a week (everything was okay except for the fingerprint & Bluetooth audio).
Then I stumbled upon a MIUI 12 Global build based on android 11 for monet and I'm using it now for the oast week and it's pretty stable.

Does the vendor from this build affect flashing GSIs on this phone?
(Excuse my weak english)
Finally I have gone through GSIs.
On my working list.
1. Bless ver 224
2. Crdroid ver 224
3.Losq ver 224
4.Decendant X latest
I have not found any other gsi booting some body may add to the other GSIs booting.
I have not had any luck booting a port gsi.
Crdroid passes safety net out of the box.
For audio bug just tick alternative audio in phh settings and reboot.
Hmmm... I got HavocOS to work.
I used the vbmeta.img, dtbo.img and boot.img off of the latest Arrow rom (Arrow-v11.0-monet-OFFICIAL-20210412-VANILLA.zip), and then flashed the HavocOS GSI image to system, and it... didn't bootloop! It actually booted! Everything seems to work.
I just got it to run, so I'll have to play around a bit before I can give any definite guarantee, but so far everything seems fine. 5G is there as well.
Well, fingerprint doesn't work. Darn.
The two I've gotten to work are:

not a downgrade at all..you went from to a a newly released beta and with that comes all types of issues. this is more for developers who want to start creating apps and work out bugs for their apps. Would not use this yet for your daily driver....once it becomes more stable than absolutely

Tried on my OP9 last night. Before reading it's not for NA. Even patched magisk after OTA. found out the hard way. Luckily T-Mobile msm came in handy lol.
for going back to A11 issues, just flash manually or run script in *fastbootd to flash both slots a/b (via from payload_dumper) with your latest variant zip.
Oneplus phones make it so easy...
flash 9 simple images
boot a/b
system a/b
system_ext a/b
odm a/b
product a/b
vbmeta a/b
vbmeta_system a/b
vendor a/b
dtbo a/b
most likely one of slots won't flash; ignore
fastboot - w
boot up
*fastbootd (fastboot reboot fastboot)
if not able to boot up in fastbootd, flash recovery img (from payload) in Bootloader.
On Android 11 OOS, clicking on any notification from Notification drawer takes around a second to open the app. For example, if you click on Gmail notification, it takes around a second to open Gmail app. Can anyone confirm if that is fixed on Android 12 OOS Beta?
Dude, it's a first developer preview, there won't be any "fixes"
Developer Preview is like a proof of concept and for app developers to test their apps on different phones on the new OS version.
When OxygenOS12 reaches the betas is when OnePlus will start working on features, fixes, etc.
So no one managed to install this preview on the OP 9 pro ?
It was a 100% miss?

We have uploaded a factory image-esque zip that you can apply in fastboot.
1. Simply download the zip
2. Reboot your device to bootloader
3. Run fastboot update --skip-reboot path/to/download.zip
3. If switching from a different ROM, be sure to wipe in recovery. If you use --skip-reboot, you will be left in fastbootd, which you can tap "Enter Recovery" to enter recovery mode to wipe the device.

Great to see you and your rom here! Kudos
Does AOSP (this build) contain the wifi calling software to make Verizon think I bought the phone from them so I can use that feature. They don't even sell the 8 pro or 9 pro haha, thank you for your development! They have their official OnePlus 8 VZW phone but wifi calling won't work with unlocked phones
i'm sorry i wonder if it could be applied to one plus 9 ,not 9 pro
thanks

I dont think that's true, I bought my unlocked galaxy S20+ straight from samsung and it worked there. But I do think the WiFi calling is restricted on verizons side, and I think no ROM will get it working on the OP9P without tricking Verizon somehow.
So flash Oneplus 8 VZW image lmao

You can extract the boot image, install the magisk app, use the app to patch the boot image, and flash it
ORRRRRR
The easy way is to just flash the magisk.apk the same you would flash a zip, and then when you boot into the OS, open the new magisk app that is there and follow the instructions

If you had read the post correctly you would have noticed that adb isn't working.
For the moment you can use ssh [email protected] instead of ADB (you still need to have your usb plugged in)

Pay attention to the firmware/ROM you're using. Xiaomi is pretty confusing when it comes to our device
Also make sure you've checked both of the boxes in UT installer (Wipe and flash)

First of all Thanks for your reply, i managed to fix the issue but this really confusing, still don't know why bootloop happened..
i have redmi Note 9S global which has code name curtana, i flashed curtana_global_images_V12.0.1.0.QJWMIXM_20201022.0000.00_10.0_global with flash_all before to downgrade my device to Android 10 to install Ubuntu touch and it worked well but when i was coming back from Ubuntu touch by flashing the same ROM with flash_all it didn't work and caused bootloop on Redmi logo.. tried to flash curtana_global_images_V12.0.4.0.RJWMIXM_20210723.0000.00_11.0_global_8f5fa1bf31 but same thing.. then i tried to use recovery to flash the device as the stock recovery works as well as fastboot so tried to sideload zip version of MIUI 12.0.4 (curtana_global_images_V12.0.4.0.RJWMIXM_20210723.0000.00_11.0_global.zip) but faced error "adb: failed to read command: No error", trying to sideload the package with custom recovery PBRP fixed the issue and recovered the phone from bootloop.. i don't know now if i should lock the bootloader or issues like this may happen with the later OTA updates, also i wanted to try a custom rom but i don't know if i should do that or not as i still don't know the reason that caused bootloop, do Ubuntu touch do something with partition table? but if that right i should have faced problems while flashing partitions with fastboot.. and why only flashing with recovery worked? both aren't the same roms? and only custom rom.. while the package should be signed by Xiaomi and acceptable, what does this adb error "failed to read command: No error" .. so confusing.

Hi. Someone confirmed that everything worked fine on 9S curtana, but I still don't get what you're doing wrong. You are welcomed to join @ut_miatoll group on telegram and we can figure this out (the person who tested it on 9S is also there and maybe he can guide you in installing the port.
About the adb error I don't know if it comes from the installer or from your platform tools.
Thanks and I'm waiting for you on the group
Btw, someone has the same problem as you and reported it in a gitlab issue, you can also take a look there:

Hello,
Firstly, thanks for supporting this great OS for our phones and I'm looking forward to start using it as my daily driver.
However I have one question about anbox and android apps. Did anyone tried to run any banking apps? Those are mandatory to me and for example Google Authenticator fro 2FA.
Sorry if this is the wrong place to aks, if it is I will remove the comment.
Greetings,
DyXen

Hi.
I don't know about anbox but I've tried Revolut on waydroid and works very fine.
Anyway, waydroid crashes a lot and anbox is old and supports only x86 applications. A suggestion is that if you rely on those app you could wait until waydroid becomes stable enough.

NEW 23/04/2023: OrangeFox BetaTest / a13 - vendorboot recovery AOSP/MIUI
Version Information
Status: Unofficial
Current Release Version: 3.7_012
Release Date: 27-Feb-2023
This is very good news, it was about time that Lisa had a recovery for Android 13.
Thanks for sharing.
What a wonderful new! Previous version for Android 12 where absolutely perfect, I am sure that this update is, or soon will be also an excellent version.
Thank you very very much!
@Dkpost3 :
I would like to send a little contribution, have you a PayPal account?
Edit: I just installed it on my Lisa running Xiaomi.eu miui 13 weekly version (Android 12): It works perfectly on Android 12, the only limit (it's a beta version) is that it can't read the ext storage. I immediately installed the update to Xiaomi.eu update to miui 14 (14.05) stable without formatting. I don't notice any problem till now.
After update the stock recovery came back so I flashed again this new one through fastboot, first I booted boot_lisa.img then I flashed it definitely from inside recovery using the zip file.
At the end I flashed successfully magisk 25.2. I am really impressed with the wonderful work of Dkpost3!
