[Discontinued][KERNEL][KITKAT][WIP] CAF 3.4.0 kernel [September 23, 2014]

Due to modem-induced crashes that I am unable to fix, this is discontinued.
This is a 3.4 kernel based off of the most advanced kernel source available from Qualcomm (CAF) for MSM8660/MSM8960 CPU architectures. Please note that this kernel is still a work-in-progress, so you will experience some issues while using it.

Kernel features:
Based off of the latest CAF kk_2.7 kernel source available (source tag: AU_LINUX_ANDROID_KK_2.7_RB1.04.04.04.007.067)
Uses Qualcomm's latest drivers and enhancements available for our architecture
Performance is over 9,000
Upgraded the amount of REAL RAM by 44MB (userspace now has 829MB of RAM, as seen in Settings->About Phone)
Removed LOTS of excessive debugging and other garbage (a lighter kernel is a faster kernel)
Newest WiFi drivers from Samsung's Galaxy S5 kernel
WiFi direct works
WiFi hotspot works
No 5-second delay in camcorder
Fixed cable-type 6 charging wakelocks (cable-type 6 = unknown charger)
Fixed slow charging speed with some chargers
Ultra-fast charging over USB (up to 1200mA, regular fast charge in all other kernels is 900mA)
Increased maximum current for AC charging to 1200mA (Samsung default is 900mA)
Improved screen colors via HTC MDP color enhancement (screen colors are less saturated)
Note that the kernel does not contain advanced features like overclocking at the moment as overall stability has yet to be confirmed. Overclocking will be added in the future if feedback is positive after the first few weeks of testing.

USB OTG (plugging in a USB OTG device crashes the phone)
Device does not always reboot successfully when the kernel crashes

I flashed major 7 ROMs and none of them feature slim recents (only aicp but it's unusable in current state) and only Spark can block ads without root.

I personally only know AOSP's default Launcher3 Recents & MIUI's Recents..
You can switch out the Recents-provider with QuickStep to the one of Lawnchair, OnePlus, or Samsung etc, but you'll be disappointed, because they're similar to AOSP's Launcher3 Recents.
I haven't found any majorly different Recents-provider. I'm not too big a fan of AOSP Recents either, but it does the job.
But on my Samsung Galaxy phone with the Samsung GoodLock App, I could choose between ~5 different Recents-Styles (including slim text-only Recents), it was amazing.
As for Adblock, use this:

Thanks, Slim recents are great but optional. Android recents are useless since they change them to Apple one.
I am not rooted, so I can block ads via local VPN or via hosts if ROM allowed it. Spark and Aicp has that feature so you are not forced to use local VPN. Iam impressed with Spark so far, so Iam done with searching.

How's the battery back up on this rom ?

First: Congratulations for the very great job @inferno023 !!!
Issue report: The microphone volume is very low at recordings and message apps (for example, whatsapp and telegram). But during calls is working fine.

i'm currently in riceDroid 8.5, can I flash it by using fastboot

Problems that I faced on PE 13.
BUGS:
- USB-c earphone is not beeing recognized by the device;
- High resolution audio codecs are not available.
Issues:
- Microphone volume is very low during audio caption for messages (for example, whatsapp and telegram);
- Microphone volume is very low during audio recordings, like videos took with the phone camera and audio recording apps at all.

Battery drain so fast and hot, even when not in use. What should I do

Almost everything works fine, 5G works and battery life ~16hrs. One problem is camera sometimes wont work and show a black screen, but it doesn't happen frequently.
*USB-C to 3.5mm works well.

I also ran into this problem, and over time, the application menu starts to work poorly, as if having 15 fps

Thanks for the great work!
Most of the features are working flawlessly, but recently when I tried to plug the phone with a type-C to HDMI cable, it doesn't recognize anything. nreal Air also doesn't work with this ROM even though they claim OP9 series all should work. My OP7TPro with the same version of PixelExperience works properly with nreal Air and the HDMI adapter.
USB audio adapter didn't work once, and I couldn't recurrent the issue so IDK if it's a bug or something.

Hello,
UDFPS is unusable on my 6T. I was able to add 4 fingers in Fingerprint Unlock section but no one from them is not working when i try unlock my phone. The light durin unlocking process is white. And I saw on other roms is mostly green. Can´t this be an issue? I saw in other discussion white color caused issues for the device.
