SD Card - Redmi K30 5G Questions & Answers

Good afternoon!.
Before buying this phone I wanted to ask those of you who have the Redmi K30 5g if it has a slot for the Sdcard.
Thank you!!

There isnt. If you want a SD Card, you must buy the normal K30!

try cleaning the card's connection pins with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab if that doesn't work how old is the card and do you have an other one to determine if it is card related or device related

What cluster size? Maybe the G3 is picky with that. I believe 32KB is the default.

When formatting in Windows, it will ask you the cluster size. But now that I think of it, if the phone won't even try to format the card, it likely isn't detecting that there's something in the slot at all. If you bought it from a carrier, I'd bring it in and have them look at it with another card and give you a new phone if it's the slot.
Have you tried formatting it inside the phone?

I have the exact same problem. Using a SanDisk 32GB ultra microSD card. When I insert it, it says SD Card inserted. But when I go to storage, it does not pick it up. Mount SD card and Erase SD Card are both greyed out.

Maybe I'm wrong but need unlock rule for external sd card in androud system (Google add him in android 4.4).
There is a "fixsd" in the Google play market.
All is good now. Downloaded SD Formatter for Mac. Reformatted it, and it reads now.
Put my 64GB card from my GS3 into my G3 and everything is gone. Put it back in the G3 and nothing shows either. What happened? Did I just lose 3000 pictures and 1000+ songs?

External storage suddenly removed error

Anyone else getting random "External Storage suddenly removed" message? It's happened to me randomly about 4 times since I got the US version phone yesterday. I have to slide out the SD card and put it back in for it to be read.
Please try cleaning SD card contacts and re-install or test existing SD card on another phone. Have you tested with a different SD card?

I got that error one time today so far.. Don't have anything on the SD card atm so I didn't pay much mind to it
This card was in my Galaxy Note 3 for the past year with no problem. I took it out and used it directly into the ZF2. Maybe I need to reformat? No I haven't tested it with a different SD card yet. I will have to try that as well.

Which model of sd card is giving you problems? Sandisk Extreme and Extreme Pro are reported to be not compatible with Zenfone 2.
I ended up erasing it via the ZF and re-copying the files over to it, Hasn't given me that error since doing that. It's the 64gb class 10 Sandisk Ultra

@downshift00 i got that very same card of yours and yes it's been bugging me since I've got my zenfone... Not that it happens soooo often but it's random and make it unreliable when you think about it... I'm sure it will be fixed by a software update sometime since it does not appear to be hardware related ; when it happens if you simply logoff / login it will detect your card again at login without the need of removing physically the micro sd, thus it gotta be software related... Didn't try to reformat it already though. Well I'm happy not to be the only one in that boat .
I get the message "External storage inserted" or "Unexpectedly Removed" 20x a day. Brand new 64GB Sandisk (http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/420346/sandisk-extreme-microsdxc-uhs-i-64gb-for-action-cameras.html) ''
Not sure whether it's just a message after unlocking, only once I wasn't able to access my photo's on the SD card when it was really dismounted.
Make sure the SD card is pushed in all the way. I found that it took much more force to get it in on this phone compared to others.

Any resolution to this? I have been using a ZF2 for about 3 weeks and it has happened several times. I am using a 32 Samsung micro sd xc card.

Hard Reset + Internal Storage SDCard

Hi,
i have one question,
so i have one Sandisk Extreme 32GB, but my 10 after nougat is getting really hot when i use it with or when is in charge, also the battery is so bad that i want to try a Hard Reset.
My question is can the internal storage SD Card reconize the 10 even after a Hard Reset?
Thanks
Sandisk Extreme UHS-1? It'll recognize only UHS-3, i think... (i have one of 64GB UHS-3 and it works well)
Another tip is format your sdcard to EXFAT.

Yes is UHS3.
But when I do the hard reset I have to take out the SD right?

No.
The reset will erase just phone's internal memory.

I tried before a 32GB UHS-1 and it didn't work...
The system warned it was too slow.

I use a 64GB UHS-3 and it works pretty well... But in 32Gb UHS-1 happens what I told.
Ahaha Guys so what?
Till now no problem with 32GB U3 quick and response.
I really have to do the hard reset. I leave the sd card inside or take it out?

It's not recognized or it's deleted? Those are 2 totaly diffferent things. If your phone doesn't see your card, pull the card out, and put it back in. That should do the trick
Not working.
Is not supported anymore the phone! Told me to formatting again to use it.
But I have all my important stuff inside.

OK. Do you have a micro SD to SD adapter? If you do, backup everything from your card to your desktop, format the card with your phone, and simply tranfer everything back after format

This is a first.... I did the procedure about 20 times, and never had that issue. Do you have another device which has a micro SD slot? Another phone maybe? Just to check if it will recognize the card

All stock.
Well, I think the other guys here didn't read your post thoroughly.
You said you are using the sd card as internal/adopted storage. This means your data are lost now.
Adopted storage can not be used anymore if you change your phone or do a factory reset. You have to format the SD card before you can use it again.
And I don't understand why you didn't save all your data on your PC before doing something like this...

SD card compatibility

Can anyone tell me which SD cards are compatible with the Xiaomi Mi A2 lite. I bought a samsung one which said it was compatible and then wouldn't work. I don't want to repeat that mistake.
Use any type class 10 memory card.

Use as portable storage and nearly every SD card should work. Don't use adoptable storage!
