Gestures Navigation bar - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

Is there any way to make the gestures navigation bar background transparent in all apps without completely hiding it or having to swipe up first to use it(Fullscreen)? It's a little awkward as that small black/white slit on the bottom which doesn't look symmetrical with the device's rounded corners

I like it completely hidden.
To do that just disable gesture hints.

Yes thank you, I know about that. But the problem is you can't swipe left or right to switch between apps like with the gestures hint. I only want to keep that pill we use to do that without the background, just like recent iPhones or in the home screen and some google apps. It would look like this in all apps https://imgur.com/a/BkhGsJb

Nope I can't do that

Yes you can. Just swipe up on the left or right side if the bottom of the screen.
If you are at home screen, the middle one won't work because you are already at the home screen. But it will launch samsung pay though

I've read that if you have _hex and create a theme with it and set the navigationbar hight to 0 that part will disappear like you wanted. Maybe you can also achieve that with a adb command? don't ask me which one tho! This is just a tip so you can go from here.
edit: lol @vash_h

no we mean switching between apps. for example turn gesture hints on again and open few apps then whilst in a app swipe left or right on the bar. you will be able to switch between apps that way. OP wants to preserve that feature.

You can swipe between apps even with the hints turned off, you have to swipe diagonally or also swipe up a little bit and then swipe right/left

Any way to hide the navigation bar?

I use pie controls and I want to hide the navigation bar, anyone know how to do this? I tried all 3 apps that claim to be able to do this in the play store and none worked for me, maybe because I'm on 4.3.
Also, anyone know a good browser that supports flash?
This app worked for me: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.hidesoftkeys&hl=en
I think you need to be rooted for it to work, though.
I'm a huge fan of that app. Use it since day one, works great.

Only do this is you are using a third party app like Button Savior or GMD GestureControl to navigate between screens though so you don't open something and get stuck there.
You could aslo use ParanoidAndroid, which has an option to switch in one tap of finger between :
1) Normal view (navbar + statusbar)
2) FullScreen view (without any bar)
The benefit of the ROM is that it also provides ControlPie, but adds "Halo notifications", which are made for having notifications without statusbar (check it out on youtube)
---------------------------------
With Xposed Framework and GravityBox you can hide navbar and use ControlPie (on stock)

[MOD][Xposed][26 Oct] Notification Mod

I like the Samsung notification pulldown in lockscreen, can check notifications without unlocking always, but it was sad that by default it is not available in Android. So I made a Xposed tweak to enable pull down in lockscreen.
PS: Tested only on HTC One. If it works on other devices as well please update me. Thank you....

"Notification pulldown in Lockscreen" has been in Android since Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0. I've had it since I've gotten the One when it launched:
http://www.android.com/about/ice-cream-sandwich/
The lock screens now let you do more without unlocking. From the slide lock screen, you can jump directly to the camera for a picture or pull down the notifications window to check for messages. When listening to music, you can even manage music tracks and see album art.

It will not work if you have security (passcode, pin, etc) enabled for obvious reasons.
This module works awesome! The only thing that maybe needs tweaking is the lock screen animation... currently you don't have to swipe the status bar just tap it and the tray pulls down... minor thing
Suggestion would be on lock screen an option to somehow disable the quick settings... and use just notifications

Thx for the wallpaper!
Hey ,can you make it possible to turn off the screen or long press for the shut down menu by press the right top corner at the notification bar, right at the clock's position.
I saw a system ui that make it just like the power buttom when the screen is on. It's not for HTC one, so I wonder if u can do it. Thanks for the wallpaper and the mod!

Hide NavBar -NO ROOT- (Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite)

Hello everyoneWell in my country we don't have the mi 6 pro, so I've been struggling with the navbar, trying to hide it, and mod it. Because I don't like android One...
So I've been trying with various launchers and apps, till I've found this "Total Launcher"https ://play .google .com/store/apps/details ?id=com.ss.launcher2&hl=es_419
For those who are interested the trickiest part was the drawer but with a little of patience I left it to my taste, the good thing is that you can mod almost anything in that app... Also it got a lot of gestures like display facing down to lock it, but I couldn't get it to work with the fingerprint scanner because when it's locked, forces you to use the pin code.
Hope you find it interesting and helpful.
And this is my mi a2 lite now

Yes my friend it's been a long time. I gave up on the 2XL and went back to Samsung until about a week or so ago. The Note 9 camera with action shots is terrible along with the curved screen had me come back to the Pixel line. Glad I did, I have zero regrets.

Hi There, using fluid navigation. It works great, no issues with the search bar or anything, its just a cosmetic thing. It looks off being so close to the edge of the screen and was just wondering if there was a way to modify the padding from the bottom of the screen in the stock launcher.
TIA

I here you but most people think more screen is better otherwise why remove the navbar in the first place.
I used the remove weather-text home screen option and it cleared text in the top column but now the space is unusable. My weather widget is only able to go to the 2nd column from the top of the home page.

Ok, I have a question. When I unzip this or your other mod installer into my platform tools folder it's asking me if I want to replace my adb file or not can u tell me if I should? I ask because when I did click replace I was unable to flash stock at a later date. I had to totally delete my tools and files and do a fresh setup.
Any option to remove only homescreen text but not for the drawer?

I ask because when I did click replace I was unable to flash stock at a later date. I had to totally delete my tools and files and do a fresh setup.

There is no reason to unzip this where your platform tools are. Unzip it someplace else.

Derp. Missed it. Thanks!
For anyone trying to use this on Windows I had to use PowerShell vs CMDR / *.terminal.
At the risk of getting flamed, how do I grant give "ADB root permissions?" I know how to launch adb commands via powershell on Windows 10, I'm rooted etc etc, but not sure how to do this step.
Sorry for my ignorance on this

No, I was wrong. You have to go into adb shell, then type su. Been a while since I've done this. Sorry for the ot.

Question Possible gestures on homescreen?

Many of us need to make use of the taskbar functionality and hence, are forced to make the switch to one UI home from our favorite launchers.
I am looking to add some homescreen gestures to quickly access apps for eg. Double tap to email, swipe up to google keep etc.
Anyone knows how closest we can get to having these gesture shortcuts using one ui?
Not a simple way unfortunately. Miss the Nova shortcuts I used to use. But the task bar is kinda worth it for me at least at the moment.
Yeah. Totally. Taskbar is almost indispensable.
I wonder why samsung didn't add native gestures to the home ui.
Check out the other thread where there's a solution identified to having both the Taskbar + Nova. I'm still sticking with One UI (for now!) because I don't want to lose the real estate of the nav keys on the home screen, Nova always refreshes/lags when you open the inner diplay, and Nova doesn't use the inner display efficiently if you want to have it mirrored on the outer display and look reasonable.
The one thing I'm missing with One UI is the gestures, for me it's more about replicating a gesture to call on Sesame Search or Finder search with two-finger swipe down, which is muscle memory for me. I have the Sesame widget on my home screen but if I'm not on the first page, then I have to go home and then click the widget - meh.
Otherwise I'm totally OK with One UI, I've managed to have custom icons the way I like and the variable grid sizes, while not ideal, are sufficient, all without the current Nova downsides on the F4.
The nova + taskbar option you mentioned is not exactly the full taskbar experience.
For gestures, use one hand operation app and have side swipes anywhere on the device.
The muscle memory thing, yeah! That's difficult to argue against.

Yeah it's like using Windows since 95 and using 8 for the first time with Metro!
Ok, that's a bit extreme but you get the idea!

I meant the two-finger swipe down gesture, which you cannot set with One-Handed Operation+

Fair enough, works for me, after all can get to pretty much everything using sesame, but understand why. If you drag the sesame icon to a screen side and search for app/whatnot and press enter the action opens in that screen space as well.

It's just about clicks. I don't want to search for Phone, Spotify, Outlook, Signal or Camera 1000x a day , but you make a valid point too!
I've been searching high and low in the Play Store for a broad gesture app, but zero luck so far.
Camera = dbl power, can't remember the last time didn't launch cam that way. So suppose that's the one I'm using

I don't take that many pictures, i guess it's just always there (in the dock) if the phone is on so don't need to even think about it. Going to give it a try though, probably easier to get used to having sesame always in the dock and reminding myself to double-press the power button for a pic, than the alternative of tracking down sesame to find an app 100x a day!
