LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Try flashing it with ADB sideload on LineageOS recovery instead of TWRP: lineage-17.1-20201107-recovery-gts4lv.img (https://download.lineageos.org/gts4lv)

thank you soooooo much LUK1337. It works

So thrilled to see this finally coming! Thanks!
My first experiences: among all Samsung devices that I ever owned, this one was by far the most complicated to achieve bootloader unlock and install TWRP - but after 1,5h I finally managed it.
Installing lineage-os via TWRP worked as expected, but ... after 1 min. booting with lineage logo the device stops and reboots into recovery. Anyone got an idea why?

I got my tablet last month and will like to try the LOS at the weekend.
If I read the Los wiki correctly I can flash/sideload without rooting. If that's correct, can I root after setting up the ROM?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can root afterwards, if you'd like.

About the installation-howto and just for curiosity:
I know the procedure from other Samsung devices but what is the VBMeta image here? And do I have to use exactly this referenced Odin? Is it patched somehow?
Are all 4 speakers are supported?
Thanks to the devs providing this to us!

Thank you so much!!! Downloading now!

F.A.Q.
ROOT! ROOT! Give me root or i'll die!!! Where root is???
Root has been removed from LineageOS builds, to allow people who are not interested in root access to enjoy apps such as PokemonGo or banking apps. A zip to re-enable root will be provided here. Other packages such as SuperSu, magisk or others are not supported and may cause problems
Why no f2fs support?
F2fs does not support fbe (file-based encryption) which proved iteslf better than block-based encryption even on f2fs. Due to some android rescue features, an attemp to boot using an userdata partition using an unsupported filesystem may lead to an automatic attemp to format userdata partition (which includes sdcard) to the supported configuration.
Why no nightly this week?
Build failed. Check again in 7 days
Installation fails with error 7, what should I do?
Make sure your firmware is up to date. You can find zip flashable firmwares here
When do I have to wipe data?
You must wipe data only when you're switching from another rom.
Will you add <insert awesome feature here>?
I won't. Feel free to submit a commit to gerrit, where it will be reviewed.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Provide any additional information (observations/frequency of problem/last version it worked on/etc) as needed:

WARNING: These are my personal testing builds. They include unmerged, work-in-progress stuff such as SuperUser, Privacy Guard, Google Play services etc. DO NOT FLASH 3RD PARTY GAPPS PACKAGES!

so are any gapps packages safe to flash
Any secrets or step-by-step on how to flash? The reason I ask this is due to the difference of Pixel 2 XL (partition A/B) in comparision to other devices.

I would surmise from the instructions in the OP, and given the size of the download(573.42mb) that there will only be the minimum required to allow one to have Google play services, and play story. The rest you can download on your own. Again, this is my personal assumption.

Hey RaymanFX. First, thank you for sharing your personal build!! 2nd, I would assume this is NOT substratum compatible, correct?
this is awesome because one of my favorite things with past phones was waking up to a new cyanogen nightly to flash. i installed pure nexus with the 6p before lineage built a 6p rom but now it seems like lineage is first for the pixel 2 xl. yay

Unless he went out of his way to break OMS, yes substratum is supported. Consider LineageOS 15.1 to be the same as your stock ROM with respect to substratum compatibility, atleast for now.
Edit: Obviously don't report force closes from bad overlays as ROM bugs, duh.

**EDIT**
It's booting after a second flash. Not sure what happened, but after I reinstalled TWRP and installed the zip a second time, the ROM is booting. I'll update this post after I'm done with setup
Ignore this ============================================
Don't flash! Not booting! Wiped my TWRP!
Steps I took:
Boot to twrp
Format system, data and cache
Install zip
Reboot
What happened:
Stuck at google logo
Recovery is now stock
Guess I'm pulling my titanium backup and flashing system images

Having come from the OG PiXL, wiping system was a problem in the beginning and you always flashed TWRP after any zip, especially ROMs.
But good info to know!

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 16.0 for Nexus 6P (angler)

Heya, you may know me as harryyoud from some of the LineageOS blog posts, IRC or Telegram. Although I've been on the LineageOS team from the beginning, I'm quite new to the development game, so go easy on me I've also got a lot going on in my personal life at the moment, so this is going to be going slow for now, but I'll answer as many questions as I can
Some things that are different from 15.1/official LineageOS right now:
- selinux is currently permissive
- no root addon
- you don't need to flash a vendor image, this now comes with the ROM
- Security level is September, but blobs are currently still on August. No particular reason, just haven't had time to re-extract them
- I haven't found any bugs or regressions from 15.1, but if you find any, please let me know here (I will need steps to reproduce the problem)
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS GitHub repo. If you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Wiki.
Important Info
To flash this rom you need TWRP 3.2.0-0 or newer. https://twrp.me/huawei/huaweinexus6p.html
Make sure you have the radio, & bootloader img's installed, from the stock oreo 8.1 OPM6.171019.030.K1 Sep 2018 factory image.
They can be extracted from the factory image on Google's site here.
Download Links
ROM: https://harryyoud.co.uk/ota/
google apps (Optional): https://wiki.lineageos.org/gapps.html
Instructions
1. if you don't already have them, flash the radio, and bootloader img's linked above. also make sure you have the newest twrp, linked above.
2. wipe system & data & cache.
3. flash rom & gapps (gapps & su zips are optional).
Reboot & enjoy.

WebView, I can confirm here doesn't work. I'll look into that
Which gapps are you using? I'd personally recommend MindTheGapps 8.1 (those work fine on 9.0), but you'll need to delete the Google SetupWizard after installation (/system/app/SetupWizard), since I have found that to be broken on angler.

whenever i tried to login it stays on Checking Info screen for a while and then i got this error
pretty sure it wasn't a connection issue, my other android devices in the same network work just fine.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Does this support 120hz and the air triggers?
Wow, many thanks indeed!! However, do you have a list if what's working/not working, bugs and such?
i tried to flash it it does not work i done the full wipes and have latest twrp
Error in flashing and all my data are gone. Tsk!
Has anyone managed to boot yet?
Thank You sir for creating the first rom for our phone. Rom booted successfully and 120hz is working like a charm.
If anyone having issue in installing this rom here are the steps -
1) Extract lineage-17.1-20200319-UNOFFICIAL-I001D.zip in your pc and get payload.bin
2)Download payload dumper for windows extract it and than put payload.bin in payload_input folder
3)Run payload_dumper.exe you will get 5 .img files boot,system,vendor,dtbo,vbmeta
4)Flash all of the .img files using fastboot command and than reboot

Unfortunately, it does not work
I have been waiting for this! Thanks for the ROM.
Also thanks @Apoorv_87, I followed your instructions to install and it worked.
I have a few questions:
How do I enable 120Hz? I cant seem to find it in the display settings.
Do all LineageOS builds come with GApps pre installed now?

did you flash through twrp?, and did it skip setup for you aswell?
So here a few tips:
I haven't tested flashing with TWRP, all I know is that it works properly using Lineage Recovery, that is provided within the ROM.
I'll upload it as a standalone image
This build includes Gapps because I'm testing -user builds with verity enabled, so these images are basically my goto for testing CTS.
The current broken things are the vibrator ( will fix soon hopefully ) and air triggers ( probably won't be fixed )
Magisk worked last time I tried flashing it, so it should be fine.
For anyone coming from stock/another rom you have to wipe data _properly_ using the fastboot -w command
Also of course you need to be on the latest Android 10 build by Asus.
If there are some size issues, that might happen on some variants, I based the partition sizes on my device, things may change.

I unpacked the zip, got the boot.img (same as the one linked above) moved it to my phone, pactched it with Magisk, moved it back to my PC then flashed it.
This is the only way I could get it working for me. TWRP would break the ROM and make me have to reinstall.
I still went through setup.

Code:
- Your warranty is now void.
- You have been warned.
- Use at your own risk.
Introduction:
This is the Official Lineage OS 18.1 thread for the OnePlus One.
Downloads:
Please follow the install instructions in your device's Wiki page linked below exactly, and make sure your device's firmware matches the required firmware listed.
Official Builds:
bacon
Unofficial - built once a month by me, includes GApps and Pixel goodies:
bacon
If you don't follow these instructions, or use 3rd party add-ons (like Magisk) please don't expect support here.
Known Bugs:
None.
Hardware-backed encryption is broken thanks to Google dropping support for legacy credential storage from AOSP 11.0, so we just feel back to software-backed encryption. This means it is a little slower, and taxing on the CPU, in addition to the fact upgrades from older LineageOS versions are not supported. The Wiki upgrade guide notes this as well.
Find any? Report them according to this guide.
Notes:
The only supported GApps package at the moment is MindTheGapps, linked on our Wiki page about gapps!
Kernel Source: https://github.com/LineageOS/android_kernel_oppo_msm8974
@npjohnson Thank you for your continued efforts into maintaining official builds for bacon. Thanks a lot. Really appreciate this.
@npjohnson Thanks a lot for maintaining it. Can't wait to flash it. Also, do you have any idea when the build will be available?
Unable to download 18.1. Not available on LineageOs website.
@npjohnson mate, I successfully installed it but there's this weird bug which isn't allowing me to get past the security lock. After entering the security pattern, the screen kind of blanks out and then refreshes back to the lock screen. After a while, the entire screen shuts off.
I did the whole installation process again, now the display is kinda dead. The lockscreen doesn't show, but the power options after long pressing the power buttin is shown. Is this a first build bug?? I'm reverting to LOS 17.1 for now

The kernel source, as our wiki clearly states (which I link, and even has build guides), that the link is https://github.com/LineageOS/android_kernel_oppo_msm8974

Correct, as the OP and Wiki both say.
installation work as described, but i still went back to 17.1 because as i want to install my paid app's Play-Store want's me to pay again. Is this a Mindthegapps problem, or with android11

idk why - this affects some users randomly, wipe, and re-install - chances are it won't happen again.
Thank you LineageOS developers.
I'd like to suggest using the official microG release:

not the same guide as previous versions? in older versions if I was able to do the dirty install
I have TWRP as my recovery with 17.1. Can I use my existing TWRP to install the 18.1 zip? Do I have to use adb sideload?

I used the same TWRP recovery I used with 17.1. I installed the zip file, no problem just remember to format data.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I have Google Backup on so most of my stuff will be recovered after the format and install.
Unfortunately I stuck on boot loop after install LSposed or Edxposed (clean install), any solution?!

A workaround for this issue is to install Aurora Store and login with your Google account. You'll be able to download your paid apps through Aurora Store, and then they'll be regularly updated via Play Store.
Had to go back to Lineage 17.1 because the new version doesn't let me recover my backups from my google account. Will wait for newer versions and will wait until there's open gapps for android 11.
