Sprint/T-mobile Galaxy S20 Ultra Software Baseband Incorrect - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

UPDATE AS OF FEBRUARY 22, 2021:
There are serious communication problems between Sprint/T-Mobile and Samsung Technicians regarding software build and Baseband versions or just a complete lack of knowledge. As a consumer, I have received many conflicting responses from the Technicians on both sides that's incorrect! Sam Mobile cleared up my questions regarding the software and Baseband versions released by Sprint.
I took my phone to Samsung's preferred UBreakiFixIt store and after 5 hours, I was told that they couldn't flash my phone with the Samsung, T-mobile or Sprint software. I contacted Sprint and after 1 hour, the technician said that my phone has Sprints latest update and to look for future updates. However, Sam Mobile lists Sprints latest January 1, 2021 update as: G988......CUA4 posted on February 5, 2021.
At this point, Sprint customers with a Galaxy S20 Ultra running the G988....CTL1 security update from December 1, 2020 must wait for Sprint to release the January 1, 2021 security update!
Please respond if you've already received the January 1, 2021 security update from Sprint for your Galaxy S20 Ultra and disregard my post below. Thanks!
In January 2021, I received the December 1, 2020 security update from Sprint/T-mobile. I noticed the different software update version numbers listed in the What's New section after installing the update, but didn't think much about it until I couldn't download the January 1, 2021.
I checked the T-mobile website and learned that the Galaxy S20 Ultra had to have Baseband version (Located in the About Phone section under Software) G988U........CTL1 in order to receive the next security update. Unfortunately, Sprint/T-Mobile installed Baseband version G988U.....CUA3 on my phone. I checked the link to Samsung to review the software updates that were installed on my phone and they have the latest updated version as: G988U....CUA4 which is not installed on my phone!
I contacted both Sprint/T-Mobile and Samsung and they decided to point fingers at each other because the CUA3/CUA4 software updates don't exist, they aren't valid according to their Techs. But Sprint/T-Mobile installed the security update OTA in January. See attachments.
I understand that I need to have my phone reflashed with the original One UI 3.0 OS 11 software in order to receive future software updates.

Why no updates for Note 10+ since September 2019

Hi,
Since 21st of October I am the owner of a Note 10+ an awsome phone and again better than all previous Notes I had since Note 2
But the weird thing is that my Note 10+ is not updating. Bought in the Netherlands with Baseband N975FXXU1ASI1
and Sw version
SAOMC_SM-N(&%F_OXM_XEF_PP_0009
RF8M90BY7SD
XEF/XEF_XEF/VD2
I do understand that this phone was produced for the French market?
After unboxing the update which is still the "up to date one" is the 1 September security update
After this update I learned that Samsung send 3 more updates the security updates October, November and a service update end of October. regarding the Fingerprint scanner
Who knows how I can get the proper updates even when OTA is not working
Thansk in advance for your help :good:
PH
Had the same problem with my DTM Firmware, to solve it i flashed the (in my case) DBT CSC with the newest firmware and now I get every update.
Some sellers imported the phone from other markets, countries. So they can buy the phone cheaper and make more profit. It's legal. But as it comes to update, your phone gets them when the country where they are imported from and not as they release in your own country. You can see the worldwide schedule at www.sammobile.com But if something is wrong, you won't have Samsung guarantee. Only the sellers guarantee.
I ordered my Note10+ directly from Samsung in The Netherlands, and updates are fine. This month I have already received 2 updates. You could indeed try to change the CSC.

Unlocked SM-N975U1 purchased from Microsoft Store -- want to upgrade firmware

I just acquired a new unlocked Galaxy Note 10+ SM-N975U1 a week ago from the Microsoft Store. I got it working on the T-Mobile network without issues except for firmware upgrades. The device automatically downloaded & installed about 5 upgrades but stopped when showing:
Software update information:
Current version: N975U1UEU3CTC9 / N975U1OYM3CTC9 / N975U1UEU3CTC9
Security patch level: April 1, 2020
From what I can tell, this seems to mean that I am running Android 10, but not OneUI 2.5.
I'd like to flash a later security patch level and get the OneUI 2.5 update. Is SamMobile.com the best place to get the latest firmware? If so, should I choose the latest "USA (T-Mobile (TMB)" option even though this is not a T-Mobile locked device? Or, is there a better option to select?
Thanks in advance.

AT&T S20+ 5G not receiving updates

Hi Community,
I bought my S20+ 5G in October and since then it has not received any updates, neither security patches nor Android 11. I called AT&T and Samsung both but they kept putting the blame on each other. By searching online I realized this seems like a theme in these kind of issues. The only option I feel I have at this point is to install the upgrade myself. I'm more concerned with Android 11 than security patches. I still got for security patch from June 2020 and One UI 2.1.
With this context can you please help with the below questions:
1. When I try to look up the firmware using Model:SM-G986U and CSC:ATT in Frija or SamMobile nothing comes up. I'm looking for G986USQU1CTKH. Am I missing something?
2. But it does come up with CSC:TMB. Can I install this version on ATT branded phone?
2a. Is the TMB version exactly same as ATT version?
3. Does this process trip the Knox counter?
4. Does this process void the warranty?
5. Are missing software updates covered under manufacturer warranty?

AT&T doesn't allow their firmware to be publicly available for any of their devices. Have you attempted updating your device with Smartswitch? Flashing T-mobile's firmware isn't an option to receive updates on your device. This post has information and answers to your questions.
G986U and G986U1 Firmware Links and Flashing Discussion Here
For those who aren't already aware, G986U is the model number of all of the US carrier versions of the S20+. The G986U1 is the model number of the same device, but sold by Samsung SIM unlocked and with no carrier bloatware. Firmware is 100%...

Question SM-S901W (Canada) One UI update

Just wanted to know whether anybody in Canada using S22 phone has got OneUI 5 update.
Looks like nobody in Canada have received an update. Is there another way to flash the new ROM?
No
I asked Samsung Hong Kong why the security updates stopped for my SM-S9010 TGY and the answer was "next month" ;-)
I got android 13 today morning.
Software update information
Version: S901WVLU2BVK1 S901WOYV2BVK1
S901WVLU2BVK1
Size: 3255.58 MB
Security patch level: November 1, 2022

Question S901U OTA updates not received

Hello everyone
I bought an S22 with model number S901U (carrier locked T-mobile) from overseas in Dubai that I received unlocled in someway but was stuck on October 2022 security patch and android 12. It says it is up to date and refuses to find newer versions (no updates detected or pushed).
I manually updated the software to the february security patch and android 13 using sam mobile site and odin.
(I used the CSC that matched the device that was TMB/XAA)
After the update, the software version became ASR/XAA,XAA/XAA.
So the first question, what does this ASR stand for, I couldn't find it in any CSC abbreviations.
Secondly, the TMB is not shown, so does this mean that I will start receiving OTA updates directly from samsung?
(From what I understood, the phone is not receiving updates because it is the carrier locked version that has no connection/relation to the carrier, so will this software version change affect this).
After the update, I didn't detect any faults or problems so far, the device is still carrier unlocked and works fine till now.
Any help in explaining the situation will be much appreciated.
