Charging Issue - LG Wing Questions & Answers

Guys facing a really weard issue with charging my wing. I used a poco 27 w charger and a 30 watt Asus ROG cherger. Both of them works fine when I use it in my office and charges full in about 1.2 hrs....
But the time increase to 4—5 hrs when used at home. I never had that issue with my ROG 2. I have tried all the available sockets at home but getting the same sluggesh speed.

[Q] Battery takes more than 6 hours to charge???

I have bought a brand new p-601, since the first installation it takes more than 6 hours in battery charging.
Is it normal or there is something wrong with the battery/tablet.
Is it possible reset the binary counter to 0, cause I have rooted it twice?

Yes its normal, all Exynos Note 10.1 2014 take a long time to charge, My P600 takes 5 hours however others have said it takes them 6-8hours to fully charge.
Same here
Think it's because of USB 2.0
Note 3 with USB 3.0 in roughly 2 hours
Someone could calculate the theoretical time by comparing how much power USB 2.0 can put through vs USB 3.0. Should be roughly 2 times more.
So maybe there will come a Note 10.1 Pro with USB 3.0 and NFC

It's not USB 3.0. Only the Tab/Pro 12.2's have USB 3.0 anyway. Here's how Samsung implements USB 3.0; at least on the N3.
The Galaxy Note 3 ships with USB 3.0, unfortunately at least in its current state it doesn't seem to get any benefit from the interface. Although the internal eMMC is capable of being read from at ~100MB/s, sustained transfers from the device over adb averaged around 30MB/s regardless of whether or not I connected the Note 3 to a USB 2.0 or 3.0 host.
Update: USB 3.0 does work on the Note 3, but only when connected to a Windows PC with USB 3.0. Doing so brings up a new option in the "USB Computer Connection" picker with USB 3.0 as an option. Ticking this alerts you that using USB 3.0 might interfere with calls and data, but then switches over. Connection transfer speed is indeed faster in this mode as well, like you'd expect. It only appears on Windows as well, my earlier attempts were on OS X where this popup option never appears.
Charging is an interesting story on the Note 3, but primarily because of what doesn’t change. The Note 3 continues to use Samsung’s tablet charging specification and charger, which has 2 amps of maximum output. The Note 3 draws 2 amps over a considerable amount of the charging curve, like other Samsung devices (in the linear part of the charge curve). USB 3.0 doesn’t change things up here quite yet with the new supported charge voltages that are coming eventually with the power delivery specification.

The p600 has a battery capacity that is 2.56 times bigger than the note 3 (3,200 vs. 8,220mAh) so its not a fair comparison.
.
My P605 My P600 takes 4 hours.. don't know about the exynos version.
It is obviously slower than any tablet or phone. Very boring and annoying. The question is how to differentiate between motherboard failure and normal slow battery charging?
Try a different cable
I was having this problem a few days back but found a hint on one of the threads I found on the internet. I was using a USB extension cable with the Samsung charger. It was taking 1 hr just to charge 1%. Then I tried not using the extension cable. It's now charging 10-15% every hour. It's likely the calbe you're using is the problem. If it's not the original cable that came with the tablet, try that cable.
I just got mine for xxxmas, and it takes about 6 hours, give or take, to go from ≈5-10% to full charge, maybe less when I don't use it; and I guess I get about the same life most have mentioned (is there a way to track charge/discharge times?).
That said, I just plugged in at 15%, and I just crossed 25% in about 20-25 minutes. I use the stock charger and cable plugged into an extension cord as thick as my arm... okay, my forefinger--hey, I like having a good extension cord that can carry the juice, the precious juice!

P605 here, and yes, it's normal, . It takes even longer if you're using it while charging. My philosophy is: "I sleep, he charges". Not perfect though, due to the amount of time I sleep, not much.
So my P600 Note 10.1 normally takes 5 hours to charge from 5% to 100% and the last 20% usually trickles and takes 2 hours. I remember someone on xda mentioning to unplug and then plug back when it hits 80%, so that's what I did yesterday and it took a total of 4hrs10mins from 5% to 100%. No idea how it made it charge faster but hey it worked.
P.s I use stock cable and plug.

Mine Note SM-P605 takes 5 Hours to charge and doesnt matter if have it turning off charging. Shouldnt it suppose to be around 3 hours charging time with qualcomms quickcharge 2.0?
0-100% 5-6H
10-100% 5H
How do peoples manage to get around 3H charing time with LTE version?
Im using battery monitor widget to monitor the charging, from start its around 1600mah and from 80-90% it start to drop to 1500mah-1000mah. From 90-100% it tickles down with 100mah for each 1% charge.
Is this normal? Im using Samsungs charger that comes with the box with EU adapter plug, since its HK version I got and if it does matter.
@dt33 i guess the EU adapter plug is the cause of slow charging. P605 should not be taking 5hours.

Id doubt that EU adapter is causing it and also tried with 3 different adapter. Since they just make HK 3 stick plug to EU 2 plug and doesnt convert electricity.
If any have SM-P605 version and can confirm with battery monitor widget. With history stats, how much mA does it charge bewteen 0-100% and is it same as mine does?
With sceen of:
0-80% - 1600-1700mA
80-90% - 1500-1000mA
90-100% - 900-100mA for each 1% it reduce with 100mA.
Does Qualcomm tickels down charging from 80-100% as Exynos version does?
It isn't the charger or the cable, it's something to do with the battery. I've had two different units in the past week or so that have taken over 7 hours and sometimes the charging stops before it is full and the discharge varies so much from 3 hours to 10 hours with the same things open and this happens on different chargers. Samsung agreed that both units were faulty, so enough is enough, I'm going to try something else.
After reading here and elsewhere about the GN 2014 charging time, I checked mine this morning. I wanted to do that before my 15 day return is up at Bestbuy. Yesterday, I ran the GN 2014 until it came with a screen and said to connect to charger. I think it was about 3% left.. This morning I put it on the charger at 7am.. at about 11, it was almost full, I unplugged it, and then plugged it back up again, and at 12 noon it reported 100%..
I have read that at about 80% on charging, it is real slow, and to un plug and re plug at that time helps..Anyway, 5 hours to 100% is normal, so I am okay.

Thanks for u offering, but it doesnt matter now and Im tired of Samsung. Too many buggs and none fixes and theirs customers support is none existens.
Now I also got black screen, waking it up from sleep, touch stopped responding or superlag (whatever its), cant swipe between home screens bla bla and couldnt either click on oki to reboot the device. A long press on power button for reboot is only choice.
Also suddenly battery drain from 100% - 97% just in 3 min for scrolling around home screen, appdrawer, open apps.
This tab just have too many issues and not worth mine time or buy.
Today at work, mine friend told me that his Note 8 LTE that he bought for 2 months ago, have also screen shaking problem as its with Note 2014.WTF is this?
Waiting for 4.4 and see if it resolves any of the problems. Or else, I just sell this **** and forget about Samsung.

Battery drain while charging and GPS

Hello everybody,
I'm planning a quite long road trip in some days, and noticed recently that my battery drains "quickly" using the GPS (with Sygic app) when the phone is plugged.
The route will be something around 12h, and I can clearly see that the phone will not stand this long (tried using Sygic in simulation mode).
It happens also when using some apps like i-display, the phone won't last forever when plugged.
Is there any thing I can do to prevent this drain, like disabling/closing apps (which ones / how to detect ? method ? any tools ?), or even changing my rom (don't know if the rom can be the cause).
I've also seen this post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2512421 . Can it be related ?
I'm running on Resurrection Remix 5.5.7
For closing apps, I tried force closing facebook/twitter... in the application setting, but they always reappear.
Thanks for help.
you can turn off screen and set it to give voice guide or turn off screen on long, straight part of the trip.
usb charger in car is about 5 times less powerful than standard wall charger.
the only thing you can do is get car inverter to plug normal charger
I'm pretty sure that I did not have this issue when I was using my phone as a GPS a while ago, when I had a Samsung based rom (dito note).
But it sounds strange that my current rom drains more than the one with all Samsung additions, no ? (Even though I noticed a small loss in battery life ... should I test an other rom ?)
Or maybe the battery is getting old ?
I did my "simulation" test while plugged in a USB port of my desktop, how does it compare to a car charger ?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using XDA Free mobile app
Even I get less power, even while using a wall charger on a cm ROM, to the extent that the phone discharges when if is plugged in even at 30% brightness. This is even after using Agni kernel (and without also). I downloaded a free app from the play store "galaxy charging current" from the play store and the app helped me figure out that I get different charging rates with charger and cable combinations. But even then the best I have been able to get is 1400 ma( that too not consistently) after using a new cable. Maybe the charging port itself has become faulty due to accumulation of carbon(don't know to to clean it without risk of damaging it!)
If it helps, I can confirm that this also happens on a full stock 4.4.2 Samsung ROM. On a 1A output, with 100% brightness, GPS and Data Connection, the battery continues to drain instead of charge. Haven't tried with only 30% brightness and GPS, though.
I did a quick test this evening with a new rom : android 4.4.4 Eclipse V4 , not installed many apps, had Sygic running a simulation, gps active and no data or wifi (like I would probably do while driving), charging on the usb front port of my desktop :no battery loss, the battery level fluctuated between 77 an 78% for 4 hours ... seems good.
I still try to understand where this difference comes from : touchwizz rom that better handles the stylus digitizer ? Android 4.x consumes less power ? Because I had less apps (so maybe less background apps) ? Samsung touchwizz has less power consumption then google now / cyanogen trebuchet ?
I like the idea to have android 5.x (latest version an feature), but this difference in battery time disappoints me a bit.
I'm no expert, but I suppose it all comes down to ROM optimisation. After all, you are comparing something made by a little team (or even by a single developer!) to something made by one of largest (if not the largest) smartphone makers! And I know that it is dissapointing to go from 6,5 hours screen on time (on stock) to 4 hours, but we can't have them all, right?
I totally agree with the point, but in fact, small team already do great jobs compared to the smartphones makers, just look at all the custom TW roms for the Note 2 : tweak, better battery, galaxy note 3&4 and s 4&5 features ...
What I don't understand, is why a rom like this seems to drain more energy than an android 5.x "stock" rom (shouldn't android 5.x have a better battery life btw, compared to 4.x ?).
Get a decent charger and a good cable. 2A charger is the minimum, and forget about cheap Chinese cables.
I had the same issues with both cheap chargers and expensive Nokia "2.1A" car charger (which I guess was no more than 1A in reality). Now I installed this in my car and forgot about these issues:
"DC 9V-40V 4 USB port 12 24V to 5V mobile phone pad Step Down DC 5V 5A Car Charger Power Supply" on Aliexpress (sorry, cant post links)

It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra before depleting the battery.

Best SOT ever
I used the phone for 1 day and 12 hours
Since unpluged it was full brightness
Not even I know how i got so much SOT
Was not gaming
WiFi and Data always on
Location on
And was last two days about all the time browsing
Look at the pictures
EDIT
This pictures are not the max sot I have got..it gets a bit more then this..
But what I need to add now is...I use it allways at full brightness with
the display settings .. I use the smart brightness and turn also all the other
''good stuff'' settings on...
And that way I have this max of 9 hours.. so I do not go easy on it to save battery or something
I go full power..with all those ''smart'' settings turned on..
And if not used to much you can go easy two days...easy

I think personally the XA1 Ultra has a super efficient battery which many will think 2700mAh is not enough but with it having a 6" screen many would think it wouldn't last but it has proven otherwise. Such a beautiful phone, looks and feels like a high end device and many work colleagues love the look and size of the device.
I also suggest buying the UCH-12 quick charger (just under 2 hours from 0-100) as it knocks off just over an hour compared to the normal charger supplied which is the UCH-20 (3 hours from 0-100%). Also, don't forget to grab the Battery Care APK from APKMirror too.
Overall, I love this device and definitely look forward to Android Oreo running on this alongside my trusty Xperia X!
Hii @LevsOG
First of all thanks for the advice for the charger
I just orderd one today for my xa1 ultra
Will test it and report back
One thing I have noticed today
Sony recommends for our model to use the UCH12W version not the UCH12 version
Then I have found out from users that there is no big deal difference between that two chargers
Only the cable would be different
If you go online and look for the price you will see
That the 12W costs 3 times more then the 12 version charger
And if you type just the name of the UCH12 charger
On the sony official site it is stated that the cheaper model does support our model.. But you need the right cable for it or the one wich you get out of the box
So, I also looked at the Spec
And there is no difference between the UHC12 and UCH12W
Only the price is much much more to pay.. Like 60 dollars and 20 dollars
And Sony stated that both supports xa1 ultra
The 60 dollars one by default
And the 20 dollars one with the right cable
Only big difference is.. One is the latest the other older model
So I got me the 20 dollars one
Will report back
And the last thing
Thanks for all the pictures you have showed in the attachment
EDIT 01:
This are the chargers..
Look for yourself..they are the same spec..
And one is like 20 dollars the other is like 60 dollars..
This one is the older model and look that Sony says it is recommended
https://support.sonymobile.com/au/quickchargeruch12/faq/
This one here is the new one a much more expensive..
https://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/products/accessories/quick-charger-uch12w/specifications/
Just google a bit they are the same..
Happy charging
Please give some pictures

Hi there, sorry to hear you're experiencing problems with your charger!
The stock one originally supplied takes upto 3 hours from 0-100% whereas the quick charger takes just under 2 hours from 0-100% as I've plugged in both and seen the difference myself.
I have been using the UCB-20 cable that was originally supplied in the box, and the one received with the quick charger is the same model but produced on a different week compared to the other one, there is no difference between each cable although on the inside of the Type C connector it looks slightly different but either cable I've used are absolutely fine.
Also I'm on the latest UK firmware 42.0.A.4.133, no root or custom ROM's for me as of yet...

Honor 8 Pro battery is charging very very slow all of a sudden

Hi All,
Since yesterday my honor 8 pro battery is taking a lot of time to get fully charged. Approx 8 hrs for 100% charge,. I am using the quick charger (5v 2A) original charger supplied with the phone. Occasionally I have swapped cables of honor original and other 3rd party cables in the past few months but have used only Huawei quick charger(2A). Not sure why this issue has occurred now. This is frustrating and I am unsure how to get this issue rectified. When I check the battery optimize option under settings, it states that the battery is in " Good Condition".

How is your battery backup in general?

Its just that all of a sudden the battery is taking long hours to get charged and now even USB is not recognizing if I connect to a system.

For this issue I've visited service center and I found that Oreo update has corrupted the FCP technology in many honor devices (9i/9 lite/v10) but not everyone is facing this. For me fast charge work 1/10 I need to power off my phone for fast charging.

Question Charging speed

Hi my name is Ajay I am working KHD VALVES AUTOMATION (KHD VALVES)
This covid pandemic issue regarding I was buying this one plus 9 pro series for whole day office work but my question is It's been 3 weeks I have been using this phone and the charging speed is not upto the mark. Earlier it did give me 29 minutes.. Now it is deviating by 20 minutes.
Are you leaving any apps open when you charge? Or leaving the screen on? I've noticed if anything is using battery during charging it seems to affect charging speed more than I would expect. Overall it's still blazing fast compared to previous phones though.
Could be an open app...
For me, this Warp Speed 65 charge is super fast.
I like to maintain the Battery with approximately 20%-80% charging range. But if I turn away for a few minutes, it's already into the 90's%!

The charge is fastest when the battery is low, charging will reduce as the battery gets closer to 100% so as not to damage it.

As per the below screenshot it's showing that the device needs 28 min to charge from 35 to 100 , isn't it way more the time that was advertised , though I am using optimised charging and the time of charging no app was opened in the background.
