General Some info about the Argentina/Uruguay/Paraguay version - SM-A225MZKEARO - Samsung Galaxy A22 4G

This device seems to be entirely manufactured in Argentina (Tierra del Fuego), not just assembled.
Price at official dollar is 400 USD but at blue dollar is only 215 USD right now, and if you get a discount/promo, it will be much cheaper than the average 249 price in Amazon. For example I got an extra 42 USD rebate on top of the slightly lower price (205 USD), making it only 163 USD total.
What's more, this version includes NFC, which isn't included in the Global version.
As a setback, this model doesn't have dual SIM. At the moment, I don't know if it's a hardware limitation or just the SIM tray that has the second SIM slot "filled". Since it was manufactured here in Argentina I'm pretty sure it's an actual hardware limitation.

Thanks for the data!!! I am thinking of buying one.
Have you managed to succesfully unlock the bootloader and/or Root the phone?

A purchase is something I'm seriously considering. Additionally, this version supports NFC, but the Global version does not.

[Q] A100 wit A500 motherboard

Hi Guys,
I've fried the mobo on my A100, now im looking for replacemnt mobo to get somewhere.
And now i have a simple (possibly stupid) question:
can i use a mobo from A500 ?
note that it does not have to fit in the case.. i use it i my car as gps and etc... and all i need it to do is jusbt work.
Any thoughts on that ?
Thanks
i've been looking through some pics and it seems that its different in size for sure and what worse is that it does not have same connectors.. so i can not interchange perts.. or at leaset that what it looks like..
if you have different info please let me know.
I bricked a100, i find 16gb motherboard mb.h6s00.001 in china, in taobao, 70€ + ship and i buy with yocomproporti.com, because all is in language chinese.
thanks man.. i just wrote to yocomproporti to see how much and how quick can i get the part to spain ))
At least twenty days to ship, i'm waiting for the mobo.
That's awesome! Make sure to let us know how it works!
Sent from my A100 using xda premium
Yeah,of course, I think they are used, but if they work worthwhile, 16gb price and size, if the 8GB costs $ 120 + shipping. Release the Nexus7 morning.

I got several hits in Google for part # mb.h6r00.001 (8gb model) one as low as $89.99 on eBay. I couldn't find much for the 's' part number (16gb).
I am currious why you don't just buy another a100 used somewhere. I see them all the time online for about $120 on craiglist and ebay. It would save on a lot of waiting time and uncertainty about whether it works or not.

I agree. I was giving some useful info on what's out there. Some people may want to just see if they can fix it, or just like tinkering. If it is as easy as remove, install and flash a stock ROM, I don't know, but if somebody tries and succeeds they may save a few bucks and gain some knowledge. And give another option to those with bricks and no warranty. It would be interesting on how the new boards internal memory comes and what it takes to get it up and running.
This involves: warranty void in Spain by buying U.S. and unlock the bootloader. Price: € 350 repair, change mobo.
Buy mobo used ebay $ 89 + shipping to Spain =? + Time.
Buy new mobo $ 120 + shipping to Spain =? + Time.
Buy Mobo 16gb buy in taobao, 60 € +20 € shipping, paypal and broker commission yocomproporti.com.
The time ranges from 15 to 30 days. not hard to change, we must be careful with the connectors combs.
My opinion is it worth putting the 16GB instead of 8GB, one price, the 16GB is 50 € more expensive than 8gb, faster and space(-weak data and apk). know if they are new, used or refurbished, but only paypal claim.
And which option you choose?

Personally I would go with what is cheapest and from a good seller. I took as quick look on eBay/eBay.UK, and the cheapest I could find a refurbished a100 is about 200€ (shipped to spain) that's not including any taxes. With refurbs being that high in your area it might be best to repair it. I wouldn't worry about the memory size, that can be worked around. Check the return policy from thee sellers most have 30 days.

Yepp, im going exactly this way (taobao) but with the other company (see my post above ).
Ill get it in 4-6 with ups i thing.. itll cost only 30 euros. so ill have the new mobo prolly by the end of the next week.
and yes to all wondering: i LOVE tinkering with stuff )) and the other thing is that i would have to take apart any other A100 coz its going into my car. and i already have the power button and some other stuff solodered out and into my dash borad
today im finishing the dashboard bytheway D
ps. i've spoken to 2 guys from ebay already and the are in US ... delivery will cost me around the same 30-40 euros and the board itself the cheapest one was 89 and the next was 109 and 129 dollars. they all would deliver to spain but again... delivery cost used mobo and etc.

Where did you get your N7105?

So, I'm really interested in getting the LTE version but can't make a decision on where to get it from. Ideally I want to use the phone on Three or Giffgaff so I can make the most of HSDPA+ / DC-HSDPA. I'm not really fussed about LTE, but the non LTE version doesn't support DC-HSDPA and I guess I like the idea of being able to use it in future without having to get a new phone.
Seem to have the following options:
Orange PAYG: Apparently £450 in shop with a minimum £10 top up. This only gives you 100mb of data and the phone is locked to the network. Apparently (according to their terms) you need to have 3 months with them before they will unlock it.
Ebay: There are some for £515 unlocked from Hong Kong. Not sure if you have to pay any tax or import duties etc. Seems the best option but is more expensive and probably means no way to get it insured?
Where did you get your N7105? Any advise or help would be appreciated.

So, I went into my local Orange store, which has now been re branded as EE, and was told they couldn't sell me the phone as PAYG. I got home and called back to double check this meant I couldn't get it on Orange either but it turned out they can.
Pricing quoted was £469 + £10 top up, so £479. Also need to factor in the price of getting it unlocked from fastgsm.com, which is currently working out at roughly £10.
So, £490 all in, or £515 on ebay pre-unlocked... Hmm.
the price is now 499 £ + 10 £ top up

If I buy a Tab S in the US and sent it to myself in Europe?

I am thinking about buying a Tab S in the US and having it sent to me in Europe because even with shipping it is significantly cheaper than buying here. (Nice little Samsung pricing scam: $399 in US and 399 euros here - a 35% difference!!!!) Is there likely to be a warranty problem OR, more importantly, activation or OS upgrade issues, IMEI or CSC problems? I know it can sometimes be a problem with activations on their phones if they are activated out-of-region.
arent most electronics more expensive in europe though? im thinking of buying from amazon too but only for non-LTE one.
the tab s is currently being sold in bahrain only the LTE version and as im a cheapskate i'll wait for the wifi versions in saudi
Warranty could be an issue as you would probably have to send it to the States for service. I purchased the Hong Kong version of the 7.7 and received what updates there were without any problems. Activation was not a problem either other than the opening screen being in Chinese.

They seem more expensive here, but as I pointed out 399 in dollars and 399 in euros. It's like Samsung doesn't really want price parity. I should have said I want the wifi only, so I don't know if activation, IMEI and CSC matter.
I dont know the Greek rules.
But if I was to ship it to the Netherlands I would have to pay
Initial purchase (no sales tax)
Shipping
Import tax
Sales tax over purchase price and shipping (21%)
Import handeling fee for your shipper (UPS, Fedex??)
A quick calculation shows I finnaly would have to pay 415 euros. Hardly a bargain.
If you send as a personal item / used electronics / (ahem) warranty repair [emoji12], all those problems go away - at least here. The one thing you do not do is send in an unopened factory box so they do not think you just bought it.
I live in France, I bought my Tab S 10.5 LTE on an Italian website.
I called Samsung France. The warranty is European, not worldwide. No problem for me.
The tab cost 100€ less than in France.
With shipping fees, I paid 512€ instead of 600€ in France.
Cool. What's the Italian site?
www.hw1.it
They only have the LTE version in Italy, no wifi only.
The price of the tab S offered on the italian site, with 3g/4g, is the same at the wifi-only version everywhere else. So, I am thinking, why not buy the 3g/4g+wifi. I never have to use the data connection, but if I ever desparately need 3g/4g, I can drop a SIM card into it. Hmmm. not a bad idea at all.
I bought my Tab S on the day of release in the US and walked back into the UK with it saving about 100 quid. I have added my device to my Samsung devices page and entered the serial number with no issues so guessing that as long as they don't want a receipt of purchase then warranty should not be an issue.

When I asked Samsung France about European warranty, they answered me "As long as you have the bill/receipt, it is ok, your Italian tablet is under warranty in France too"

I want to buy the 8.4 lte unit as it is the same price as the wifi only version elsewhere, but I find it a little discomforting that the price is 100 euros cheaper than it will be offered elsewhere. Should I be concerned about the product this website is offering?
I'm not sure to understand your word...
Yes I bought the LTE version on this Italian website same price than wifi version in France, and I'm very happy with it.
I was in holiday this week, far from any wifi access point, I was very happy to have the LTE version (with my multi sim data plan).
Price in France for wifi version : http://www.materiel.net/tablette-tactile/samsung-galaxy-tab-s-10-blanc-105481.html
Price in Italy for LTE version : http://www.hw1.it/samsung-galaxy-tab-s-10-5-sm-t805ntsaitv/
Take the 8.4inch, for example. The French site's price for the wifi-only tablet is the normally suggested 399 euro price. The wifi/4g-lte version is recommended to sell for 499 euros in Europe. But the Italian site is selling that one for 399 euros - a 100 euros discount (discount similar to the 10.5 inch prices). So my question is: are you satisfied with product you got from the Italian site because I think the price is quite low compared to what it is "supposed" to be.
Well it seems the price is normal in Italy, if you check some comparing Italian websites.
Yes I couldn't be more satisfied, I really recommend this website.
I asked some info in English by mail, they called me on my phone to confirm the tracking number of the package...
I was afraid when I paid, but now I'm very happy.

I am from Austria also tinking about ordering eg. at Amazon.it to have 30 days trial (cant be ordered in Germany from Austria right now) ...
Is it ok to flash an Austian Version e.g. CSC: T705ATO1ANF1 ???
1 will knox be triggered ?
2 is there any difference regarding GSM/LTE frequency bands or do all european devices have the same circuit boards ? One can look this up e.g. with myphoneexplorer (\System\build.prop Austria: ro.product.board=universal5420)

Is this seller legit?

I'm not advertising him or anything, if this still counts as advertising pls let me know. :silly:
Anyway, here's a link
Should I buy it from this guy? Considering I don't live in the USA so I pay for shipment and stuff is the price fair?
Thanks :laugh::fingers-crossed:
It most likely is, but there's better aliexpress stores to buy from that guarantee no import costs and tax when in the EU.
Also, really big con when buying from aliexpress. You don't get official support through the OnePlus website, and it's the Chinese model you're buying. That means it doesn't have LTE band 8, or 800mhz. This band is used mostly for getting LTE in houses and outside of the city. Aliexpress has 0 stores that sell the European model. That's why, even though shipping time is longer and the price is slightly higher, I still ordered from the official OnePlus website.

China 8/256

So I can get the 7T with 8/256 imported on Honor buy or eglobal for about €500
This is €100 cheaper than oneplus official site which only sells 8/128 model
The only real downside is that they open the box and flash global rom.
Does anyone recommend buying like this and what are your experiences ?
Im just not really comfortable with them opening the box and handling the phone but I suppose everything should really be ok

You can always just request them to ship it sealed. To be sure, just email them before placing the order and ask if its possible to ship it sealed with CN ROM. If they say it is not possible, just order from another site, like wondamobile.

Yea,I have done my research there and contacted support on both eglobal and Honor buy. They say they can't do it but Wonda mobile does(though I have heard of people requesting it sealed only to receive it open).
The downside with Wonda is their prices are a little higher and they charge 20 to 40 euro on delivery outside the UK

Yep, Oneplus is good like that, all same LTE bands and everything on the Chinese version so just simply install OxygenOS.
AliExpress though, while cheap takes a few weeks to be delivered.
If I could find a store willing to provide a sealed unit I would probably buy.

I'm pretty sure that with Wondamobile(that's where i want to get one from), if you email/call them before placing the order and also notifying them again with order number just as you placed it, that they will ship it sealed. Nevertheless, if somehow your order gets shipped unsealed, you have 14 days to return your order, bearing a 30 pounds fee for ''change of mind'' aka don't want it.
Plus, what got me hooked on wonda even though its a bit pricier, there are no import tax fees, your order is sure to get delivered in about a week compared to ali and they do offer warranty 12 months, compared to ali.
I also did a bit of research on them and they seem very legit, their trustpilot is almost only 5 stars reviews, people seem very pleased with them.
True you do pay 20 pounds delivery outside UK, but from ali you pay both delivery fees by courier AND import tax which is a big no especially on the price of the phone. Unless, you find a store that is guaranteed no import tax and transport price is low enough, there is still the warranty question at hand.
Anyhow, i'm not affiliated with them in any way and i'm not trying to influence your decision. I haven't ordered mine yet, still looking around for best place to get it from at a low enough price but also a safe product.
Have a good day!

Absolutely,I've been in touch with Wonda previously inquiring about previous phones and they did say to ask them to send the phone sealed. The only problem is that their prices are just a little too high for it to be really worth it. For instance the 7T is about €500 + the €25 delivery,it is still a nice saving but not really appealing.Certainly a very good option though but eglobal and Honor buy are cheaper with also no custom charges but they don't give Chinese phones sealed

CN 8/256 on Verizon USA
I ordered an 8/256 "International" model from geartbest. They don't list a model #, but I'm almost certain it is the hd1900 or cn version. I plan to use it on Verizon in the US. Is anyone aware of potential issues I'll run into? Apparently Verizon is using some band 66 now, and that frequency isn't listed for the cn model. I'm very curious to know if the EU or international ROM they load enables band 66?

That's the only thing that stopped me, I'm on T-Mobile and I know if I am going to keep the phone long term, I want the most bands possible. I would love the double storage but I'm only using 50gb right now on my current phone so 256gb is a bit overkill if I'm giving up Band 66 & 71.
Does anyone on this board actually have the 256gb version on T-mobile in the US? How's it performing. I saw a number of sellers have it on Ebay presumably in sealed boxes.

Most from eBay are not the U.S. version, which do not support T-Mobile' LTE band 66 and 71.

Yeah, I am using Hwawei Mate 20 X(China version) with T-Mobile. At the time I didn't know it doesn't support band 66 and 71, so I got it because the ChIna version was like $150 cheaper than the non-China version.
Without band 66 and 71, I didn't experience obvious difference of reception but I know sometimes the internet speed is very slow. I am guessing that's why.
Thanks. I've been running LTE discovery app on my 7 pro and the bands my phone constantly uses are 2, 4 and 12. I was assuming that even though the 256gb was missing 66 and 71 that it wouldn't be much of a problem (since it was 2, 4 and 12(). Am I wrong?

You're not wrong for that line of thinking it's more of where Band 66 and 71 go in the future. If you keep your phone long term it would be good to have all available bands. Just saw T-Mobile is rolling out 5G on it's 600mhz band 71. Now, the 7T can't get 5G but just an example of you never quite know what they are going to do with the bands. Pending how much you travel it would be good to have all bands available that your carrier operates on. If you switch phones often then this a moot point and you should go for the 256GB version, but as I said this is what kept me from picking one up and ultimately getting the NA version.
Thanks. I'm going to give the 256gb a try since these international prices are ridiculously good. Hopefully it will be fine. Thanks again.

Hi
I'm not making any promotion for them but I ordered yesterday the 256GB version for about 445€ from Gearbest. This was with a coupon, but now the price is event more interesting without : 490$
If you have a way to pay in $ without being charged by your bank (online free bank accounts allow that) it's about 441€.
Again, not trying to sell anything, I just think price is really good.
