Question [HELP] Can't get into bootloader to unlock - T-Mobile REVVL V+ 5G

I have the MetroPCS Revvl 4+ 5G model number 5062Z.
No matter what I do I can't get into the bootloader.
My adb is working. I can use the commands "adb reboot bootloader" and that just reboots the phone.
I can use "adb reboot fastboot" and that will bring me to a recovery with an option to reboot to bootloader but again that just reboots the phone.
Regular "adb reboot recovery" doesn't even have the bootloader option.
Please any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you for any help.

to unlock bootloader? ibet you can do it with python and adb. IOt has mediatek chipset, you'll need tyhose drivers and python 3. download/bootloader/brom mode is what youre looking for here. unplug your device. power off. hold only the volume keys. both volume keyts. not the power key. while holding the volume keys, connect the device to your pc. the screen will remain black but it should be in BROM mode.
"python mtk e metadata,userdata,md_udc"
Disconnect and power on. If the device has been reset, then you have confirmation. Prepare the phone again. Enable developer options, OEM unlock, USB Debugging. Disconnect, then power off. While holding ONLY both volume keys, connect it to the comp.
Enter the following command without ":
"python mtk da seccfg unlock"
Try this. I believe it's the same fore the REVVL 4+. Not the root guide, just the first part about unlocking bootloader with python.

I think that is for Mediatek (revvl 4), not Qualcomm (revvl 4+). It didn't work for me on a Revvl 4+ (TMobile)

From the beginning of the open( unlocking bootloader)
After the work steps is supposed to restore the device restarts itself
But doing a black screen remains
Until I unplug the (USB)
And open the phone itself
Can I ask you how I know the bot loader is opened؟
I may have missed it I I I don't know
Wait for a response from you, sorry if I ask too much

That means your PC isn't installing fastboot drivers.
You have to install it manually. Just download below flashtool (also you'll need it later in final installation) (link below)
http://d-h.st/Kb8
Install it in your default PC drive.
Navigate to;
flashtool folder (default drive) > drivers > flashtool driver.exe > double click on it > next > fastboot drivers (at bottom of the list) install it and now connect your phone in fastboot mode.
Now follow and Complete popups for fastboot.
(If there's popup for MTP drivers, just cancel it)
After installation is finished Disconnect device and connect again in fastboot mode.
(VolUP and then connect USB )
If above process fails, let me know

If you can't get into fastboot mode (blue LED appears for few second and then continues charging with red LED) then just follow steps written in above post.

Okay! So you are at the first step (UBL)
Answer few questions;
1. Which windows version are you using?
2. Do your phone successfully stay in fastboot mode?
(Power off > press volUP > connecting USB )
[Blue LED appears]
3. Did you get your Unlocking Bootloader Code from Sony site?
PS: when you successfully typed those three commands, your phone will auto reboot and bootloader will be unlocked.
To confirm that your bootloader is unlocked, you'll notice that your phone is factory resetted.
Also type *#*#7378423#*#* in dialer and find bootloader unlock status.

Everything looks fine. You can unlock your bootloader. Your bootloader isn't unlocked yet. Try again with the given steps one by one.
Hope you'll succeed

If you have successfully performed every step till (7) and rebooted into system (7th step) , you shouldn't get any problem.
To enter into TWRP, reboot your device and when you see magenta LED press volUP button for couple of times, you'll successfully enter into TWRP.

Nope! You can't skip bootloader.
There are some ROMs available that can be flashed with locked bootloader.
Soft bricking is the main drawback of flashing ROM on locked bootloader. Usually it happens once.
PS: I can't provide pics of steps. Its because I already unlocked my bootloader and I can't do it again.
Also I don't have another ACRO S.
I suggest you to unlock your bootloader using other PC to avoid bricking.

yas i do this whole process but my devices do not opne after htc logo
what i do?
Rename the RUU to
2PSTIMG.zip
Copy 2PSTIMG.zip to a external sd card.
Put sd card in phone if not allready.
Then do
Boot to download mode. Vol down + Power.
It should say file found hit volume up to flash.
Hit the volume up button.
When phone reboots to download mode again. Because it probably will.
Hit volume up again to flash entire ruu.
NOW YOU ARE BACK IN BUISNESS..
Say Thanks.

Just did it on a T-Mobile branded Desire 530. Worked great once I remembered to reboot after pushing the new file.
The phone has to be rooted, obviously, since you need su access to push/pull that file.
I'm stuck at dd if=/sdcard/mmcblk0p36new of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p36
'dd' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
Is the error i get after su

That's a windows error message. You have to be in adb shell for any of this to work. When you type "adb shell" it should connect to your phone and give you a different prompt. Only then can you issue commands to the phone.
(You have to have usb debugging enabled on the phone to use adb at all, and the phone has to be rooted for the required su command to work)
So, did you code this:
adb push mmcblk0p52-rfg_8-UnLocked.txt /sdcard/mmcblk0p52new
adb shell
su
dd if=/sdcard/mmcblk0p52new of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p52
exit
exit
Then just reboot? My 530 keeps locked ;/
Well, I went through the whole documented process... rooting the phone first, pulling the old file, comparing it to be sure it's the same as the 'locked' one posted (it was), pushing the new 'unlocked' file and rebooting. Once you've pushed the 'unlocked' file and put it in the correct place, the phone should be unlocked on reboot. If it doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you other than to try again and follow the instructions to the letter. If you're getting error messages along the way, resolve those.

I also read the whole post then do the process normaly even with more than one M9 (m9 ok, 530 no)
I try on old OS nothing then update to the latest version 1.36.531.4 and nothing as well.
I put the stock ruu, unlock bootloader, recovey then root and all process work fine but no unlock, its keep saying i can use the unlock t mobile tool to unlock and show sim with the padlock ;/...
Would you please upload your old and new mmcblk0p52 please?
If i cant unlock i am thinking on super cid and flash others ruu ;/
Thanks for your time!
This are my 3 files...
mmcblk0p52-rfg_8-UnLocked.txt
mmcblk0p52old
Locked.txt
For those like me did this on HTC M9 and thought it will be the same here a resume of my issue...
HTC M9 unlock partition are mmcblk0p52-rfg_8-UnLocked
And the Desire line are mmcblk0p36-rfg_8-UnLocked
I try the correct method using the whrong partition unlock file, stop a little to READ and it works fine now.

The original thread only mentioned p36. Why are you now discussing p52?
In order to simply SIM unlock the 530, p36 is the partion we should be replacing, correct?
Or does it vary on this phone, and p52 needs to be overwritten?
Could somebody please confirm?
Thanks

Can't get Lg G7 into Download Mode

Here is some background.
I ordered an LG G7 ULM off of ebay a few days ago. When I got it, I noticed that it was an LG G7 Sprint that was converted to ULM. (Which is typical of eBay). I decided to flash the latest ULM firmware to the device by downloading the latest kdz and flashing with LGup. What I didn't realize until later is that I flashed the "Brightpoint" ULM version. Knowing this, I wanted to flash the non Brightpoint version, but when I try getting into download mode, it doesn't work. It only shows the G7 logo, then shows the battery charging symbol.
Additionally, I am in USB debugging mode and have OEM unlock on in developer options.
Things I have tried:
Holding volume up and then plugging USB
Holding volume down and plugging in USB
Holding volume up and power button
Holding volume down and power button
Reboot fastboot via adb
Also, when i try using LGup without download mode it gives and error "spc code does not match"
Does anyone know how to fix this?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g7-thinq/how-to/cross-flash-oreo-pie-firmwares-lg-g7-g7-t3915303
If you try ti flash when phone is not in download mode you get "spc code does not match" error.
First method is correct
"Holding volume up and then plugging USB" If that doesn't work try adb reboot download (I don't think there is download option with fastboot command or not supported by LG G7)
If you have ADB installed, connect phone with USB cable
1)Check your phone is listed in with command
Adb devices
2) then run this command
adb reboot download

1. Adb devices shows my device.
2. I tried the adb reboot download. It just reboots normally. Shows lg logo then my phone is booted up.
None of the fastboot commands word because I can't get into download mode.

If you have one of the models with OEM unlock inside the developer menu, you're wasting your time because it does nothing. I don't even know why it's there because the LG G7 ThinQ does not have fastboot mode baked in.
Try running a fastboot command and you will see. You have to get past the bootloader to access anyting to do a root and this is not possible on most of the phones here . Also you do not run these commands from download mode I don't believe, they would usually be done when in fastboot or recovery mode.
The only mode you're probably going to get into is download mode. It would be for manually upgrading firmware. You can go into that mode by holding power and Volume +. I tried for three days straight until I stumbled upon another Canadian who was able to root his phone but he had to use a special box and connectors.
There is no fastboot or recovery. All you can find is download mode and safe boot. I wish you the best of luck but if you have the same variant that I do and most of Canada does if it was purchased here then you will not be able to access fastboot because it does not exist. Don't take my word for it though, do your research and you will see I am speaking the truth. Or you can kill yourself and rip out your hair trying to get fastboot to to load but you will not succeed in doing anything but ending up bald. Luckily I shave my head or else I would have done that. Good luck on your research and if you should get fastboot to do anyting please post it in here for everyone to see so we can praise you and root our own phones also. Cheers my friend.
I didn't read back deeply but it sounds like you're attempting what I did, and use modded boot.img files to further gain access to what we need to root the phone. This is true as for what we need to do, but most who have flashed these images have either ruin their devices totally or had to reflash stock firmware. There were a few that got lucky and let's talk firmware fixed the issue but most phones that broke are probably in a landfill now. Please do share if you succeed in anyting we haven't already tried. I tried flashing to a firmware that does have fast boot capability but it did not work because fastboot is built into the phones and the firmware for any particular country has no effect on whether you can root your phone or not. Just before this I mentioned the boot.img method and I'm guessing the command you are running is something like fastboot flashroot_a boot.img and then typing the same command a second time but only with a letter b instead of an a. This method will not work either so please share if you discover a third method that no one else has discovered yet. I would donate money to you because you would basically be the developer of the root method that actually works.

Thanks for the reply.
I was reading into flashing the laf.img file which would fix the download mode not working, but I'm unable to gain root, so that isn't really an option.
I guess for now, I'm stuck with this firmware version. But, at least I'm on the latest pie version... Hopefully there will be a fix for it, or maybe someone will know how to fix this.
I have heard that you can buy for a service to fix this for around $30. But I don't think I would trust someone doing changes to my phone without a guarantee.
Help me
I have the same problem too, my phone is Verizon variant and I can't get to download mode

I'm only used to using TWRP so I haven't done it any other way before, is there any easy methods to root the phone. I have tried with adb but I can never seem to copy files onto it.

Yeah I've tried one of the threads that includes ADB, is there any other way of doing it?
No.
You can follow my guide here or visit the thread linked above and use fastboot to boot from the rooted boot image. It's really not that difficult as long as you follow the directions properly.
You need to have unlocked your bootloader first but that's always the case.
Hi my friend you just need to unlock bootloader and flash magic zip with the help of fastboot link for magic is below the text. If you do not know how then I can just guide you. Install magic apk v22. Open settings and then select about phone, then press a lot of times where it says build number. Now open developer options and enable usb debugging, oem unlock and advance booting. Now hold down the power button, now comes any choice options select fastboot. Once you are booted into fastboot mode, connect your phone to your PC. Install adb and fastboot tools if you do not already have. Open the folder with fastboot and adb and then press at the top, write cmd. Now a cmd window will appear. Write (fastboot devices), to make sure your phone is connected properly. Now it's time to unlock bootloader. Write the following, (fastboot oem unlock) you now chess like success full unlocked. A warning will appear on your phone if you are sure you want to confirm unlocking. Press yes. (if your touch does not work then use the volume buttons to select up and down. Once you have selected, press the power button and done. Now your phone will reset itself. Set your phone quickly and from select frp lock. Activate fastboot again and open cmd with fastboot Flash now magically via fastboot and reboot.Enjoy your root.

I was able to get the OEM unlock toggle to show after running a debloat script in another thread. I applied for my token so I'm super stoked for finally getting to unlock. I planned to make a toolkit for this device as well written in Python
So I was able to finally unlocky bootloader now that I have my token. I tried to install a custom ROM, followed the steps exactly, and upon ADB failing at 47% on the side load I reboot to get into fastboot and ended up in 900E mode (semi-brick state). I flashed stock in EDL and reunlocked again... This time I switch the slot from a to b and it did this same thing again! I'm not even sure why this happens if others haven't experienced it
Looks like I'll be sticking with stock root. Trying to flash any rom via adb sideload as shown in the instructions fails at 47%. After trying to reboot to bootloader after that it just semi-bricks. Trying to switch slots after unlocked also causes it to brick. I'm sorry, but this pisses me off a little bit. I'm not sure how others aren't running into this issue.
EDIT:
Turns out because I didn't take the OTA to Android 11 that's what caused it. It was because of the Android 10 bootloader. All is working finally! I'm truly sorry for the troubles..
Does this work with Metro By T-Mobile OnePlus Nord N10 5g?
So, I'm a little confused. The unlock code from fast boot, is it both lines as a single code? I tried to submit like that and the oneplus page says must be 64 characters. What am I missing?

Yes the unlock code is both lines put together with no spaces. Make sure all the 0 are zeros. I would triple check that you copied the code down right. The code should be 64 characters long. I had trouble with the unlock token link not working so I had to contact the Oneplus support on their website. To save you time I would find your serial number, unlock code, Imei number and your PCB number. This way you don't have to do the back and forth that I had to do for over a month. Even if they don't ask for it, just give them the info, it should save you time. Or if you are tech savvy I believe you can flash a different version of your phone to bypass the need for a unlock token. You might also try to send a direct message to an active senior member in one of these N10 forums. Good luck
