I was getting the following on the tablet, even with all the apk installed:
Finally tried to backup and restore the paired data and it worked.
Working: Notification, Find My Watch, S Health... Pretty much everything is working so far.
Not Working: Samsung Pay (might never work, cannot activate card). Wondering if Google Pay works on Watch 4?
Edit: Google Pay Works! Very Happy! MagiskHide GooglePay on your Tablet. Extra: Setup double tab power button to launch Google Pay
You will need the following:
- A Rooted Phone (I used a cheap Umidigi phone)
- A Rooted Tab S7/7+
- App: oandbackup (https://f-droid.org/en/packages/dk.jens.backup/), or OAndBackupX (https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.machiav3lli.backup/)
- Time
Install oandbackup or OAndBackupX
Download Galaxy Wearable on your Rooted Phone, Pair the watch on your phone, set everything up, update your watch software etc.
Backup Galaxy Wearable, Watch plug-in, Galaxy Watch4 Plugin from your phone, transfer them to your tablet.
Later on the Tab S7; make sure you have MagiskHide: Galaxy Watch4 Plugin, Galaxy Wearable, Samsung Accessory Service, Samsung Health, Watch plug-in.
Important! Before you reset your watch, you need to goto your bluetooth on your tablet and also pair the Watch's Bluetooth. After you have done that you can reset the watch.
While the watch is resetting, uninstall Galaxy Wearable, Watch plug-in, Galaxy Watch4 Plugin on your tablet and then open up oandbackup to do a restore of those three items.
When the watch is ready to pair, instead of opening up your Galaxy Wearable app, goto your Bluetooth Settings and click on the Watch Bluetooth you have previously paired, the Galaxy Wearable app should now be open, be quick and hit continue the setup from there with your Google Account, do not do a restore on your backup for now, cause you don't want to jinx it LOL.
WoooHooo! Your Watch should be paired!
For the S Health app to work, you'll need to edit for /system/build.prop: ro.config.tima=1 to ro.config.tima=0
Good luck! Hope this helps someone, I will update this information as I am exploring... Overall I'm happy because I'm using my Tab S7+ as my main phone.

Update, the newer versions will not allow you to complete and finalize the setup.
The version that works is:
Galaxy Wearable 2.2.43.210928...
Galaxy Watch4 Plugin 2.2.11.210916...
You might want to get them from APK mirror.

I just bought a fit 2 pro (because i like the look and samsung isn't making anything that looks like this anymore) for my tab s6 and just found out samsung smartwatches don't work with tabs. Smh

Hi sir edmondt, i honestly wanted to have my s7+ to be paired on my watch 4 but seems im unable to technically do it on my own. Would you mind if you can guide me through via call. I would genuinely appreciate it. If you would kindly leave your email address where I can send you an email or how do you think we can haeve this clearly communicated? Thank you in advance for your prompt response and help! Godbless sir!

So, I got a Tab S8 Ultra and a 44mm watch 4, will it still work or are there any (less) obvious reasons that will cause problems? Since the tab S6 I'm a tablet only guy so it would be freakin awesome getting it to work. Thx for your replies.

Any way I could do without root

Nope.

s6 也连不上手表
Mod translation via GT: s6 can't connect to watch

So there is no way to connect watch to a samsung tablet? Got Watch3 for a gift and now i'm unable to fully use its potential...and Tab S6 is my only phone (even for voice calls)

[APP] Google Car Home 2.2.1.4

I've got the Car Home app working for Galaxy S2. As you can see, it is not available into Market for our phone.
Download the Car Home app and make sure you install first com.android.cardock-8-2.2.apk file.
For those of you with rooted phones, flash the Google signed package from CWM recovery. This is the package I currently have installed on my phone.
The app features the Voice Search integration, allowing you to perform various tasks like calling a contact directly with a command similar to "call Alex mobile" or "listen to Michael Jackson". It also has a cool automatic mode (Day/Night) and links with your bluetooth car system.

Tip: If you are rooted, uninstall VoiceToGo and VLingo apps, they are useless once you use Voice Search app.
Can anyone confirm if the Car Home starts automatically once you place the phone into Samsung Vehicle Dock kit? It should from what Google says... I'm going to get the dock, is damn sweet.
Confirmed. Use it every day!

Awesome! Can you tell me the feature you like most while driving? Can't wait to test it with a mount.
I updated the screenshots to show the shortcut created by apk...
I like that it starts the Google Music app, if you click on Music shortcut.
Here is a flashable zip. Flash in cwm. Will install apps to system folder.

Thanks for the new files. I really hate that I cannot get the app from the Market, so we get proper updates... Probably Samsung did not wanted the app because they went the VLingo way ("Hi Galaxy") and Google banned the app for all related models.
How I got the app working on my phone:
I Googled forever until I found a compatible cardock launcher file with 2.2.1.4, which for some reason everyone had it named CarHomeLauncher.apk instead of com.android.cardock-8-2.2.apk. Then, I exported both apps with the proper name and version assigned to each file.
Edit: I just found a Google signed package and link it to the first post. I flash it and everything works great.
awesome, thanks
Superb, loving it...
only question -
do you know if it is possible to add a direct dial for a contact?
I can add a contact, but when I press on that added contact I get the contact's options (message/call/email etc...)
Personally I use Voice Search option in Car Home. If I want to call Alex, I just say "Alex" and it will pop the contact. If anyone has other tricks, please share them.
Edit: Whoaa, I just tried the Voice Search feature: "call Alex mobile", it worked!
Works well with specific songs I want to listen to. I said "listen to Thriller":
This is a great app... I'm playing with the other Voice Search options as we speak.
Thanks!
Installed and working perfectly on Epic 4G Touch (SGX2). Thank very much!
So lame that they block us from installing it from the Market. I wonder if it's because of the car-centric crapware that gets bundled on our phone...

Yuck nasty suction mount.
Look up a Brodit Active cradle for the GS2. use inconjunction with the specific pro-clip designed for your car.
You'll never look at another brand of car mount again.
I own a Nokia CK-300 car kit, it connects through the car speakers, mute's them on phone call, connects through bluetooth and streams music through a2dp perfectly. Has a small microphone usually placed close to the driver's head. Also has a small remote control, useless with this phone (voice commands!!)
Will this app work with this car kit? I wonder if Google Car Home will accept commands through BT connection......

I don't think Google Car Home is what you think it is. All it is is essentially just a launcher with big icons which are easy to see while driving. It also allows auto-launching when it detects connection to any bluetooth device.
Any voice-activated programs are a totally separate thing.
I mean, will Google Car Home accept voice commands passing through BT connection?

Google Car Home has nothing to do with voice commands!
If you are talking about Google Voice Search, then no, I haven't found a way to get this to work through a bluetooth microphone. Would be cool, though. In any case, this is off topic and is probably discussed elsewhere.

Sidesync - Confirmed by Samsung support as not yet compatible with S9

It is my first day back at work with my new S9. I have always found SideSync a handy tool, plug your phone in via USB and it will charge whilst displaying your mobile's display on your PC. I noticed that I couldn't connect via USB as I normally do and WiFi would connect via a hotspot but not our main network.
I have just finished a live chat with Samsung Support and after some testing, I was told:
"Thank you so much for patiently waiting. Upon checking, we do apologise but at Sidesync is not compatible with S9 at the moment. Samsung are working on it as soon as possible for more improvements."
Before contacting samsung, I tried:
-Re-installing SideSync on PC
-Re-Installing Samsung Mobile USB drivers
-Restarting PC
Samsung adviser asked me to try:
From the dialler on your device, enter *#0808#.
Under 'USB', select AP.
Under 'USB Settings', select MTP +ADB.
Soft reboot device

Samsung Flow requires Google Play Services whereas Sidesync does not, correct? That's a blow.

So how do I sync files between phone and tablet?

I recommend Vysor Pro, if you have the cash and need the accessibility now. You need Google Chrome for the install I think, on your Desktop.
I use it, works for what I need to. Lets me control it via mouse & keyboard. Lets you change stream quality rate. Latency is next to nothing on the S9.
Supports Wifi and USB remote-in options.

Your other option is to get a DexPad or wait until Samsung Flow supports mirroring.
So... Just upgraded to a new phone. Now Samsung wants to force me to upgrade OS... Work PC, work laptop, home PC. Because Samsung Flow requires Windows 10. Way to go, Samsung. Alienate 43.4% of the PC user base. Or just take a step backwards and lose functionality that I already had with my old phone and current os's. Looks like I'll be trying a different solution this week.
Mac user
And what about Mac users?? Flow only works on PC.
I gave flow a go but it just isn't as good as Sidesync, I would love them to bring it back.

Tasker Integration: What is the problem?

TaskS2 seems to be the ONLY solution available for all Samsung watches since the S2. It was developed four years ago, it's buggy, and is not well designed intuitively. This goes for both the watch and companion app on the Android host (phone).
So, why is there no better alternative that has come out since then?
I have some home automation with REST APIs I wrote and run on Raspberry PIs. I use the RESTask plugin for Tasker to make calls to my homeauto api from the phone.
Now I've just gotten my first Samsung watch (the Galaxy Watch) and I've set up TaskS2 to interface with my Tasker tasks. It works..... sometimes (forget the TaskS2 widget, it is useless). One problem I found right away with the TaskS2 task lists is that they won't come up on the watch when you actually need them, and I think that might be because the companion app on the phone gets put to sleep by the Android OS (Samsung S7 w/Oreo).
Are people just not interested watch-to-Tasker integration because it requires Tasker and/or TaskS2 phone app to stay awake all the time and drain battery? Doubt it.
Why no love for Tasker?
I had fairly good Tasker integration on my Pebble back in 2014, and we can't do it on Tizen five years later?
Task S2 works fine and any time I want to use for me.
User must ensure that all needed app are running every time on the phone : Samsung app and all needed compagnon app like this for Task S2, so need to exclude to battery optimisation and grant launch at startup.

Garmin Fenix :
pebble :
Wear OS : Tasker for Wear
Other Wear OS app : Wear Tasker
So I can not say that Samsung has bad Tasker app and nice app for other than Samsung, no ?
It's not the look of the TaskS2 app on the watch that is a problem. That's fine because it uses the Samsung-developed watch UI (how Samsung renderes a selectable list on the screen -- no style points there for TaskS2). It's how it functions: the way the side menu works. The way the favorites works. The way adding to Favorites works. the way one has to reset the list to get it to behave. etc. The way the widget does NOT work at all! And of the two, the watch app is the better! The phone side TaskS2 app is REALLY bad! It is ALL completely not intuitive and just plain silly.
You don't need to keep replying about how much you love TaskS2. That's not helpful.
This thread asks about at least ONE alternative.
I'm also looking for an alternative.. i'm using a wearOS watch, just because Autowear gives me the needed functionalities..
if there is an alternative to TaskS2, i would consider switching to a samsung gear..
Just got my galaxy watch, and I am really disappointed too with the lack of proper tasker options.
I moved over from pebble, the tasker integration there was the best. You could use the hardware buttons to launch a task. It simply works.
Even the android wear is better than g-wach's tasker.
With the android wear lte, I could launch tasks even away from the phone's Bluetooth range.
With the g-watch's S2, you can't do that. Not sure if this is a samsung g-watch cloud limitation.
New Tasker Integration available for tizen watches
Hi there,
if you are still looking for tasker integrations for Tizen-based watches, go check out the app WatchEvents.
Right now WatchEvents provides events in Tasker that can be triggered from your watch.
Other features will be added soon.
Cheers Keaselstein

How to store several custom watch faces ?

So I have custom watch face working on my GT2, but I can only install them one by one, the Health app just keeps the last installed custom watch face, none of the previously installed watch faces is present.
So how can I have my own list of custom watch faces?
Thanks.
Ok so I somehow managed to store the custom watch faces on my GT2. I don't know if there is a limit in quantity but actually I have at least twenty watch faces installed.

How?
I uninstalled the existing Huawei Health app and use everything from this webpage (the link came from an Youtube clip).
Files list: https://mega.nz/folder/xQgFgCSS#gFMrebBNtgILX_Sp4FdNFQ/folder/0N53SIIJ
Youtube: https://youtu.be/7Z0VKqa5jyY
Do not use the latest Health app as it didn't work for me, just use the Health app from the above link.
My installation order was:
1. Install Taichi app, play a bit with the app's setting to let it update itself (it might happen or not depending on your android version).
2. Install Huawei Health app.
3. Install Huawei Mobile Service app.
4. Install multiple faces app.
5. Close all apps.
6. Open Taichi app, use the + button to "create" the Huawei Health and Huawei Mobile Service. It might take several minutes to finish each task.
7. Use the same + button to manage modules, check the multiple faces module.
If everything is OK you should be able to upload and store your custom watch faces in your GT2.
The two required apps should appear clean in the list like this, your there is a red notice under either app, click to repair (Taichi will do it for you).
Make sure you checked the multiple faces app to include it in the service.
In case of problem, long press on the app to launch it again. I found that sometimes the Huawei Mobile Service would need a "kick" from here to make it work.
Please note that while this method work perfectly, you won't be able to change the watch faces from your phone (like you usually do with the stock Health app) but you have to do it from your watch. The Health app would just upload and store the files on your watch.
And as you can see in the pic I uploaded, the uploaded files don't have an avatar when seen from the phone, so you must use the filenames while working with the watch faces. However you can preview all the watch faces in your watch normally.
Editing...
It turned out that the max number of faces you can store in your watch is 32.

Uploaded images seem broken, I will come back later.
Could someone explain, why the login screen of Huawei does not pop up? Because if you do not log in watchfaces are not available. Health app starts fine but does not want me to log into Huawei account. Therefore, only Music is shown.
I did everything exactly the way it is here explained, altough with a LG phone and Oero 8.1.
Any ideas? Thanks.
All works now after I found the reason why watchfaces were not shown.

Yes, except the two default faces which cannot be removed. So you can store 30 custom faces at a time.
The first two are default faces.

Question Honor Magic 4 Pro and Huawei Watch GT

Hi all,
I've just got an Honor Magic 4 Pro (I know this is the ultimate forum but I couldn't see one for the Pro). I have installed the Huawei Health app and synced the watch to the phone and it is tracking steps, sleep etc, however no matter what I try, I cannot get any notifications to appear. Is it simply a case that the notifications will not work as its 2 different manufacturers? I have installed the Huawei core as well, but not sure that was needed?
Thanks

It's not just you. I've got a magic4 pro and a Gt2 watch and all I can get are call notifications. Any other notification which worked on a previous phone doesn't work. I've tried nearly all the tutorials I've seen and they don't work at all. I think it's probably a firmware issue with either the phone or watch.
it happened with me until I factory reset the phone and reinstall everything again and now working perfectly. I beleive this is software issue , hopefully they will fix soon.

yes paired in health app, and worked without problems
And on the other side: why isn't it possible to connect HUAWEI watch with HONOR Health App of HONOR phone ? Strange as it's possible to connect HONOR watch on HUAWEI phone with Huawei Health App...
I've tried a manner of combinations and resets and nothing works. I can only get call notifications on the GT2. I've given the app all the permissions so I think this is a software bug somewhere. Does anyone know if Honor is investigating this issue?
I've decided to send the phone back as it is running appalling. Open a web browser, takes about 15 seconds for it to decide to show the keyboard. Go to play a game, yea that's gonna take me a while to figure out what you want to do. Maybe its just this handset but I am really disappointed in it as its far far slower than my P40 pro that's 2 years old. Really disappointed
On my Magic4 Pro ( + Huawei GT2 Pro), the Huawei Health App cannot be installed from Play Store. Installed from other sources, I have the same problems as OP. I factory reset the phone but is the same problem regarding notifications.

The solution was provided by @aikido1986.
Install and use Petal Health. It is working.
Now I can receive notifications on my Huawei GT2 Pro.
I was able to make it work as follow:
* factory reset the Huawei Watch gt2 pro.
* Connect honor magic to the watch via blutooth.
* go to Health app and add the watch
With Honor GS Pro nothing to do, notifications don't work.
Working only with Petal Health until last friday.
Problem solved (finally), works on Honor GS Pro and Honor GS3 Pro with Huawei Health and HMS (latest version):
- From russian Huawei Community:
UPDATE 2 (Fix notification issue on Honor 50/50 Lite or other new Honor + Huawei Watch GT 2/GT2 Pro/Honor Magic 2 or older devices):
After deeply investigating the issue of receiving notifications on Huawei Watch GT 2 and GT 2 Pro when paired with Honor devices, we were able to find that after the latest update by Honor, the HwSynergy service used to sync notifications has been disabled on Honor phones.
Thus, to receive notifications, you need to disconnect your watch from your phone, and when reconnecting, select "Later" in the Bluetooth Sync pop-up window (see screenshot). DO NOT select "Allow"!
In a future app update, we will remove this popup when syncing with Honor phones. For now, please use and share this guide.
i have honor magic 4 ultimate and huawei watch gt3 pro,i also uses xiaomi atch, you need , to go configuracion- Aplicaciones- inicio de aplicaciones-salud or health and choose the three options
I would like to buy honor magic 4 Pro. I have huawei watch 3 with huawei mate 20 pro currently. Everything works Fine. I tried this watch with Samsung s20 FE with huawei health app. Most functions works well, but Phone alarm clock, remote camera shutter and some other not works with Phone. The cause is because some watches functionality needs to have on phone Emui or Harmony OS. How it is on magic 4 Pro? Alarm clock, remote camera shutter works ok? Do you have some experience please?
