Hello! I am trying to activate the edge lighting on my phone, but seems like it doesn't work. Has anyone experienced trouble with this feature? Thanks in advance!

Have you restarted? If still have problem could be the software issue
Hi, found out a way to enable edge lighting in Oppo Reno Series. Settings>Personalisation>edge lighting>select colour and just go back.
Why is it no option of edge lighting in my oppo reno 6Z 5g

HELLO EVERYBODY! i was interested if anybody could help us owners of the s6 edge to instal the aod service from the s7 edge. i was able to enable the servise in the display settings by putting the folders and files(see attachment) in the right folder(system, priv-ap) and setting the right permissions for the forlders and files, but when i press the aod in the menu(everything is activated) nothing happens......could anyone give me a hand? thx!!

AOD on S6
Did you succeed anything on installing AOD on S6?
I have Always ON display on s6 edge (g925f) its easy...You must instal custom rom and kernel...
For example Noble Experience or Note 7 port with AOD enabled and tn2009_kernel...
I tried and was working...but not really battery friendly.
Had about 3-4%/h drain doing nothing...

Do you think be able to port aod on galaxy a series ?
Does the note 7 use EIS? I cant find an option to disable it in the camera-settings and it feels wobbly some times.
Any infos on that? S7 and edge had the option to turn it off in the settings.

So does the S7 / edge, but they have EIS on top of that. Just wondering if its the same here, and if so is there a way to disable it?

You can use animation option on eu beta rom.
Already using eu beta. But I couldn't find that option

I also couldn't find it at the moment... But I'm sure that I saw it and used it on eu beta 9.8.1. Now I'm on 9.8.22.
I have been reluctant to upgrade from my s9+ because of the notification led that was done away with in the newer devices.
I have read that in one ui 3.0 and Android 11 on the S20 series advancements have been made using edge lighting for notifications.
Can anyone tell me if the there is a setting to have this edge lighting notification run continuously until the message causing the notification has been read? ie. mimicking how the notification led works in the S9+ and older devices that had the physical led?

Option is not there. Only 'longer' which lasts abouy 3 seconds. However, there are apps to do this as well.

U can set everything that u want, it might be needed to buy the developer coffee.
Thanks for the replies. I have seen some of the aftermarket apps. Many of them come with various issues. I was hoping that by now Samsung had come up with their own built in solution. Will wait and see if the S21 is any different.

And what are the issues with the app I recommended? It feels like you want to wait on Samsung, but that's waiting on horses to fly
For what it's worth, aodNotify works flawlessly for me. I think you'll be pleased with the results.
Hi so I've just received the A52s 5g which I am loving but didn't realise it doesn't have a notification led?
I assumed it would, more fool me!
However after doing a lot of reading I stumbled across if you use the selfie camera or face recognition a light circles the front camera?
So this says to me it could do it but doesn't? Is anyone aware of a work around to try and get a notification light going?
I also read about the Samsung app edgelighting +, thought would give it ago but says not compatible.
