Question Are Custom Roms being developed? Is there any hope... - Moto G40 / G60

I just wanna know whether there are some devs out there who are working on an Android 12 Custom Rom and a Twrp Recovery Image. Flashing GSI s are now possible but they are super buggy...

Try this gsi
Then to fix some stuff, enable these under phh settings:
> (For headphones) Qualcomm features > Alternate audio policy
> (For speaker crakles, brightness & bluetooth audio) Misc features > Disable audio effects, Force alternative backlight scale, Allow setting brightness to lowest, Force disable A2DP offload
> (For VoLTE fix & carrier aggregation) IMS features > Request IMS network & Force the presense of 4G calling. Hit IMS APK & install the APK shown in the notification panel.
Then reboot. Try these & lemme know, if everything works well.

GSIs can be flashable without recovery too, on fastbootd.

If anyone is having issues with new kernel (freezes, random reboots, no data/wifi)
Plz flash this kernel:

It is Orion_WIP3_2 kernel in a AK2 (Anykernel2) zip. (Thanks @JohnFawkes)
You can just flash this zip as a regular zip..
So no more ".img" files that need to be flashed in boot partition.
This also means that you don't need to reflash Magisk after flashing a kernel!
As always "Encounter bugs? = Logcat" cant fix stuff based on a description of what happened. :good:

Why is this the only non stock rom i've found that has working bluetooth audio streaming with no skipping?
I was so surprised to find it working flawlessly, so refreshing.
Great work COSP team.
I have an app that creates/controls profiles based on network and other settings.
On this rom only, when the profiler attempts to turn off/on wifi I get a security toast asking if I want to allow the app to enable/disable wifi.
Is there a way I can bypass this toast warning?
The app has all its permissions granted, as well as:
pm grant sk.henrichg.phoneprofilesplus android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
this command is suggested by the app developer install instructions, but I still am getting the wifi security toast.
Not sure if its related to that permission, thanks for having a look.
Thanks guys
The bluetooth sealed the deal for me, the best daily driver.

hi, thnx for the great feedback.
what automate app do you use? i just tested wifi automation and there is a way to bypass the warning trough a shell script
su
to enable wifi
svc wifi enable
----------------
to disable wifi
svc wifi disable
i tested this myself just now on cosp and wifi does turn on/off without warning (with macrodroid app)
to check more commands in terminal type "svc" and it will show you a small list what you can control.
i use phoneprofilesplus , thanks for the tip
Looks like a great rom. Thanks for supporting h932

IMS
All the carrier specifc are disabled by default. Only basic mobile data will work.
To enable carrier specific features, such as IMS, VoLTE, VoWiFi or WiFi calling,
- Go to Settings > XperiaParts - Enable "IMS features". This will pick and update the modem based on your carrier - A reboot dialog should pop up, and reboot.
NOTE: Above will only work if it worked on stock too.
Here as some FAQs if you run into some issue.
What is modem crashing ?
Sometimes, the modem flashed may not be right (mainly due to lack of carrier updates). Due to this, the modem keeps crashing and so it can't connect sim in service.
How to know if modem is crashing ?
Your SIM won't get in service at all, and your wifi will disconnect and reconnect frequently.
What to do then ?
You can do 2 things:
- Switch to 3G and wait if it worksOR- Go to Settings > XperiaParts- Turn off "IMS features". This will flash default modem which will provide basic mobile data and calling feature.
I have enabled IMS features, I have SIM connected, no modem crashing and yet IMS can't register. What to do ?
If the WiFi and SIM connectivity are stable but IMS can't be registered, it must be the APN issue. See if updating APN fixes it else contact me.
I didn't turn on "IMS features", but still I can't get my sim connected. What to do ?
Make sure to check if default modem is flashed.
- Switch to 3G and wait. If it doesn't work then: - Go to Settings > XperiaParts > Status - If it says this "amss_fsg_lilac_tar.mbn" modem, then contact me - Else either reboot or turn on and turn off "IMS Features" or check your APN.

Thanks very much @Rooted_Ansh ! I can't wait to install it ; )
Installed non-GAPPS version using russel5's twrp from 4pda but following instructions in OP. Ran through set up then factory reset after first boot. Booted to twrp and flashed pico gapps 11.
So far, ROM is running flawlessly. No issues with SD card or anything else yet. However, I haven't yet put a sim in since it's my tester xz1c. I'll do so over the next few days and report back.
Excellent work as always Ansh, thank you much
Tried dirty flash but ended with boot stuck (after 15min I quit) and done the Clean flash - so far so good.
Carier network detected from first start (usual reboot required), Google pay works, everything else looks good.
Thank you @Rooted_Ansh for this great rom!
I can't shoot videos in anything higher than 30FPS. 1080p60 and 720p960 modes worked just fine in the previous release.

Through my investigation, I don’t know if it’s my problem. Applications with API=30 cannot be installed (this is why I can’t install launcher3)
I solved this problem because some magisk modules I installed were wrong. Pardon me for interrupting you.

"Ok Google" or "Hey Google" is disabled as it would aquire a wakelock, prevent device to sleep and then draining battery.
I will try to fix it if it's possible.

At Convolver's Impulse response setting I've found that those are the best presets:
Apple_Ipod_128K_MP3_02.Bass_Booster
Cassete_Type_II_Chrome_CrO2_
Cassete_Type_IV_Metal_Dolby_NR_B
Play with all Convolver's Impulse response effects provided by the
app and see witch one fits best for you.
Discharge limiter to prevent phone from not booting up after battery dies.

Really fast GSI, didn't do the Magisk optimizations yet. One small issue is the status bar a little bit to the left but I guess that's a GSI issue. Really fast, 10/10
Also, by any chance. Do you know how I disable storage encryption?

How To Guide How to configure a Treble GSI properly

Hello everyone!
You are probably aware that our device, Galaxy A52s 5G, supports the @phhusson Treble Project. This Porject allow our device to boot GSIs (Generic System Images). The problem is that a GSI isn't optimized by default for our device.
Now, imagine that you installed a fresh version of Windows on your computer and doesn't install the best drivers, your GPU will be recognized as a Basic Microsoft GPU and won't work at its best potential. That's a kind of GSI, and we have to configure our fresh Android System to work the most perfectly as possible.
Requirements:
A Treble GSI: Click here for the XDA Guide by @oli231
Patience.
Understanding for a potential dirty English, I'm french.
Make sure that there's in your settings app a section called "Phh Treble Settings"
Probably Root
GSI I recommand:
Ponce's Pe13+ Download
AncientOS 7.0 (13) Download
Fixes:
Fingerprint
Disable lockscreen security
Enable in Phh Treble Settings:
Samsung > "Enable workaround for broken fingerprint" (at the bottom of the list)
Misc > Under-display fp Color > Green
Configure your lock screen security (Pin, Password,Schema) then register your fingeprints
Go back to Phh Treble Settings then Misc and set "Under-display fp Color" to White
Now unlocking your phone should work with fingerprints
Brightness/Backlight
Enable in Phh Treble Settings:
Samsung > "Enable extended brightness range"
Samsung > "Enable extra sensors"
Misc > "Use linear screen brightness slider"
This will make your device brighter when you will be outside
Cameras
What's working: 64MPx, 32MPx front, UW.
Tested on AncientOS and Pe13+ don't know for others
Enable in Phh Treble Settings:
Misc > "Expose Aux cameras"
Misc > "Force Enable Camera2API HAL"
Install this SGCam
Open then close the app
Download this Library then move the .so file to /sdcard/SGCAM/LIB
Download this Config then move the .xml file to /sdcard/SGCAM/XML
Load the new A52s--DarkMetal--SGCam config in your new SGCam
Lenses switch is on the right at the bottom of the camera
Make sure that the thre icons (AWB, HiRes and Shad) are enabled
Bluetooth (Media and Calls)
Turn off bluetotoh
Delete all your Bluetooth devices
Enable in Phh Treble Settings:
Samsung > "Use alternate audio policy"
Samsung > "Enable setero audio mode"
Samsung > Set eSCO transport unit size > Set it to 16
Misc > "Force-disable A2DP offload"
Misc > "System-Wide BT HAL"
Reboot system
Enable Bluetooth
Other fixes
Brighter Flashlight
Samsung > "Set flash strength" > Set it to 3
120Hz
Misc > "Force FPS" > Set it to "[email protected]"
Misc > "FPS Divisor" > Set it to 3
RIL
Misc > Automatic restart RIL > Enable it
This is a compilation of all the research I did and tried, I used AncientOS 7.0 A13
I hope that this will help you for a daily usage.
If you are still facing issues you can recieve help on the A52s Development Telegram group, or ask directly for help on the Project Treble GSI Telegram group
What does RIL mean or do?
RIL is the Radio Interface Layer, it is used for every calls, when you use mobile data, RIL makes interaction between two interfaces.
In the camera app, where do I load the new config? I copied it to the specified location.
