I have shared a link below, follow the steps to do a custom recovery and it looks easy.

Is OrangeFox recovery recommended for this device?

There is no TWRP for LISA, don't confuse the files for RENOIR
For this phone, the recovery LOS only works at 100x100:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gYAVTitz5uSP5_MO4KkXdYOvPmIvC2oJ/view?usp=sharing

here is the working one

So far, I've not been able to make a full backup with any of the available recoveries for lisa because the data partition can't be mounted. Has anyone had luck with this?

I had this problem (did not see the internal memory)
Try the following:
Install any SD card and boot into TWRP.
Then the phone will see both the SD card and internal memory.

Do you mean to say that twrp_lisa will see then Internal memory (/sdcard)?
Would it also ask for Android unlock pin/pass while booting to TWRP (to be able to decrypt Internal memory)?
Also, how do you permanently install this TWRP:
- fastboot flash recovery twrp_lisa.img
Or
- fastboot boot twrp_lisa.img
and then by flashing twrp_lisa.img to Recovery from inside the TWRP?

Ok, so I tested twrp_lisa img by temporarily booting (fastboot boot)
It asks for Android unlock pin/pass, it successfully decrypts /data but it does not show anything from Internal memory
I put external SD card and it used successfully (but it didn't help for Internal memory).
E.g., screenshots fromTW
All the rest seems to work ok
You can permanently install by following the instructions for similar A/B A11/12 devices with recovery-in-boot, like
TWRP.me, Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G (Renoir), official instructions for permanent flashing:
Xiaomi Mi 11 lite 5G
Disclaimer:Team Win strives to provide a quality product. However, it is your decision to install our software on your device. Team Win takes no ...
twrp.me
That is, boot temporarily to TWRP, go to Advanced and use:
- Flash current TWRP
or
- Install recovery ramdisk
My Lisa is already rooted - boot.img patched by Magisk and flashed to boot from TWRP
I wanted to see if it was possible to keep Magisk but also to install TWRP permanently
Then I temporarily booted to TWRP (fastboot boot twrp_lisa.img) and tried:
1) Advanced / Flash current TWRP:
It failed (screenshot) complaining that recovery ramdisk was modified (supposidely due to my patching the boot.img by Magisk)
2) Advanced / Install recovery ramdisk:
It flashed successfully my TWRP img file but noted me (screenshot) that root was now overwritten.
Indeed, when I booted to System, Magisk app was showing no Magisk installed and I had to flash once again my patched boot.img (with Magisk then overwriting the TWRP)
All together, TWRP can be installed permanently but cannot (easily?) have Magisk and TWRP, permanently, in parallel - since both patch the Boot

If you're planning to install a custom rom, any custom recovery should work, including this one.
The main advantage of using this recovery is that you can bypass the stock rom (maybe stock based roms too) force encryption to access your partitions on recovery.

Which recovery did you used before this? And what's your rom?
For the first time i used LR.Team's recovery i installed recovery, did a format data(due to the password issue as you), installed miui global and magisk and the system booted properly and after that recovery didn't asked for password anymore and i've been able to mount partitions and do other stuff.

I only tested this twrp with stock rom which doesn't need gapps and encountered no issues.

Question Edit system files in Mi 11x

I have been using this Mi 11x (Indian variant of Poco F3/ Redmi K40). It has TWRP by Nebrassy as latest version of Magisk (v23) installed and working. Magisk is working in systemless mode. System structure shows partitions Slot A and Slot B in TWRP. Whenever I attempt to delete any system file using root privileged file manager it return 'failed to delete : error code 1'.
I did try deleting these files using TWRP file manager. There also it says 'failed, Code 1'.
What am I doing wrong. And how to correct it? Please help...
Running Os: Xiaomi.eu with version 12.5.4.0 with MIUI 12.5
Device : Mi 11x (Aliothin)
System files cannot be deleted after android 10
Thread '[SCRIPT][Android 10+] Universal Mount System read write R/W' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/script-android-10-universal-mount-system-read-write-r-w.4247311/

I worked on my mi 11x with unlocked, magisk rooted Xiaomi.eu 12.5.4.0 rom (android 11). I just downloaded the flashable zip file from the site attached) and installed it in TWRP recovery. Pretty straight forward... But u need to have atleast 20gb internal memory free, where a backup of your super.img will be stored (u can delete this later). My advice is to go through the thread once since I have read certain feedbacks where the device went into bootloop.

Question LISA development

Xiaomi 11 lite 5G NE - alias LISA - different opinions - can or not be included in 11 lite 5G?In other words - TWRP for RENOIR works for LISA also? or not?
Same with roms here.
xiaomi.eu posted a recovery - PitchBlack Recovery V3.1.0 for Xiaomi 11 lite 5G NE.
I am not in knowledge to see the differences, but as long as the 100 something...days will pass, I will unlock bootloader and try...
And I wait for more experienced folks to comment on LISA development. Thank you.

PitchBlack Recovery V3.1.0 for Xiaomi 11 lite 5G NE. It's there. For those who have LISA, I will try to post here all the news I'll find. Others are invited to help too. There ARE differences between the 2 models, so I think any info about LISA is important for owners.
A link with interesting things for Lisa...
https://mifirm.net/model/lisa.ttt#eea - Here you can find firmware.
Following
Asked Nebrassy if his twrp is working for LISA. Otherwise, we only have PitchBlack Recovery V3.1.0 for Xiaomi 11 lite 5G NE. Hopefully today willl end the 100plus hours for unlock. I will keep U informed.
Well...unlocked-fastboot-further are 2 choises-temporary or permanent.
Flash it permanent
- fastboot flash recovery PitchBlack-recovery.img /// DOES NOT WORK - writing recovery FAILED recovery_b No such partition.
Temporary
fastboot boot PitchBlack-recovery.img - ok, PitchBlack-recovery started by I was unable to mount/backup anything. Of course, at reboot PitchBlack dissapears.
An reply: "On other a/b devices xiaomi.eu team fixed this and if you will flash the xiaomi.eu rom (if its available for your phone) TWRP will be permanent."
So....untill a rom from xiaomi.eu team will appear for LISA, no custom recovery...am I wrong?
There is no recovery partition in a/b devices
Instead you boot to pbrp recovery then flash recovery to ramdisk from there but you would need to have it on extcard as internal storage would be encrypted
I hope that they make a twrp for lisa.
I will follow your posts.

There is now a fastboot EU rom for lisa
There is now official arrow os for Lisa as well
AS anyone arrive to flassh Arrow Os on LISA ? I'm stuck on PBRP recovery with encrypted data...
Ok ! I finally arrive to do something.
There is a LineageOS Recovery here : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gYAVTitz5uSP5_MO4KkXdYOvPmIvC2oJ/view?usp=sharing
- Once you get it, boot your phone to fastboot.
adb reboot bootloader
- Then, install the LineageOS-recovery.img
fastboot flash boot_ab LineageOS-recovery.img
- Boot to recovery :
fastboot reboot recovery
- Erase your data.
- Go to Apply Update, then SD card and apply the Arrow zip file.
- Wait for it !
- When on LineageOS recovery again, reboot system now.
And, you got it !
Thanks @GTG305 !! Where did this recovery come from?
Edit:
When you say "Go to Apply Update, then SD card and apply the Arrow zip file.", does this mean you're copying the ArrowOS zip onto a micro-sd card and running LOS recovery with this card inserted?
Without an sd card inserted, I only get the "Apply from ADB" which does not enable sideload correctly.
I have found it on another post !

Yes, I copied it on the sd card before.
WIthout sd card, you can try to copy it to your internal storage with adb like this :
./adb push Arrow-v11.0-lisa-OFFICIAL-20211219-VANILLA.zip /data/media/0/
But i don't tried it.
I managed to install ArrowOs using the LOS recovery method described by @GTG305, thanks dude!
ATM I've found only a few bugs/annoyances:
The auto-brightness control seems to be a bit "nervous" and, under certain light conditions, tends to change continually. It does seem to "calm down" with time, maybe it has a calibration period.
The other thing I've had a few hickups with has been the swiping navigation gestures. There have been a few times where, after an unknown error, the swipe-up for "back" stopped working. Swipe-left and swipe-right kept working, but I had to reboot to get swipe-up working again.
Apart from that, I'm pleasantly surprised by the ROM's stability, at least during the first 24h using it.
UPDATE:
The auto-brightness issue seems to have solved itself on its own, there may be a calibration period as I suggested, which now makes it work correctly.
Even so, I have to report another issue with the brightness control: the minimum brightness in ArrowOS is equivalent to 30-40% brightness on the stock MIUI ROM, so on very dark conditions, the brightness is too high and quite annoying. (Can you confirm this @GTG305?)

How To Guide K40s flash miui.eu rom

Since I am in mainland China, after seven days waiting, I unlocked my k40s finally.

There is a ref: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/fastboot-error-no-such-file.4483677/
I boot to fastboot (Not fastbootD) by command
Code:

The rom you flashed is not the latest.xiaomi.eu_multi_MUNCH_V14.0.5.0.TLMCNXM_v14-13.zip
to update you must update the twrp from A12 to A13 and use the OTA.
This rom is hybrid, which means you can update it with a pc and fastboot using the update.bat script included in the extracted zip folder.
If you haven't installed all your apps, use the First install .bat file.
The procedure for a first installation with TWRP is as follows:
Twrp/format data type yes reboot Twrp(if errors ,reds lines ,start again by restarting on the Twrp at each try.
Then sideload the rom or use OTG.
Errors remaining at the end of the flash, ignore them.

Delete the lock screen security before all opérations.

tq for the reply. a few hours ago i updated the eu rom to latest version via twrp. for now everything is working. i would like to know some things.
1. imo the battery backup with eu rom is terrible compared to global stable rom. whats your view about that??
2. Are there any heating issues with eu rom 14 ?
3. can we revert to stock rom and lock bootloader?

Not having this device, I cannot answer the first 2 questions precisely but on my 12 pro(Xiaomi Eu rom) the switch to A13 was beneficial for both.(Have you just updated? Give the system time to optimize itself).
3/Use miflash (if you have an F4 and not a K40s).

How To Guide [Recovery] [13] [12] TWRP & OrangeFox

Since recoveries play a crucial role in flashing firmwares, custom ROMs and offline updates, it is of importance to have access to them. This post is about sources and instructions to working versions of recoveries for Alioth. Platform Tools (aka ADB) and USB drivers should be set beforehand. Latest versions are reliable enough. PixelExperience, PixelOS and MIUI (official and Xiaomi.eu) ROMs have been tested. Before proceeding to flash, make sure about your ROM type (standard or vendor_boot) to avoid not desired consequences. Blew are the most recent versions.

I tried to flash TWRP 3.7.0_7.7_13 and now my phone is in bootloop.

So, you have flashed an A13 recovery on an A12 ROM? Of course you will have issues. You need to flash the correct recovery.

Sorry, I know nothing about EDL mode for this device. But I'm sure there are lots of tutorials on XDA or in a general Google search.
Vendor_Boot recovery links and instructions added.
Small changes made in instructions.
New version (7.8) for TWRP A13 (standard).
New version (11.1_1) for OFox (vendor_boot).
New version (11.1_3) for OFox (standard).

For those who want to.. I too thought as do @DarthJabba9 but...
I've bought a new poco F3, wich was with A12 MIUI. I tried to flash skkk twrp A12, then flash FW V14.xxx (A13), then skkk twrp A13 (trough twrp itself, or in fastboot) => bootloop, with or without rebooting in between..
It finally worked with only flashing skkk twrp A13 (on A12 MIUI), then FW V14.xx, then rom etc.
Hope it can help

That's a very atrange way to have latest fw.
How did you flash twrp through twrp?
Please describe what you have done clearly.
Restarts are necessary.
Also if you plan to have a clean flash, which is recommended, there are much easier and straight forward methods.

That error does not seem to be related to the process.
Something (probably free apace) is wrong about your pc or phone.
What ROM were you using?

Well I didn't want to make a complete tutorial ...
To flash twrp trough twrp, 'install' > change with "image" > install the recovery.img.. It has always worked, for long years..
About flashing a A13 rom (++) coming from MIUI A12 (I each time restarted from scratch, re-installing global MIUI) : I've tried a lot of ways.
I began to install A12 twrp skkk in fastboot mode (1st 'boot' then flash), reboot to recovery, then upgrade to A13 twrp through twrp (reboot to recovery), then A13 FW > bootloop ;
I tried flash A12 twrp (fastboot)(reboot to recovery), then A13 twrp (fastboot too)(reboot to recovery), flash FW > bootloop ;
I also tried A12 twrp (reboot to recovery), then FW (reboot to recovery ok), A13 twrp (reboot to recovery) > bootloop...
I won't list all what i did ! but finally I flashed A13 twrp directly on A12 MIUI (reboot to recovery ok), flash FW (reboot to recovery ok) and that worked. I then flashed my A13 rom (without rebooting system first) > reboot to recovery +reboot system, and finally flashed Gapps, magisk and other stuff. I do know it's not a common way, but the one that worked.
EDIT : I do know it can work (maybe even easier) to flash the MIUI A13 fastboot rom, but had a other device hard bricked some time ago doing this. That's why i tried to only flash the FW
PS : if you can help, I've only one issue to solve yet : I've flashed magisk 26.1, i could have bank & pro apps to work correctly, the only app that I cannot is the FAI tv (error P531 'can't reach my account' (even if i'm well connected), probably root detected.. thanks ! (ofc it's on the deny list, with magisk modules such as Universal Safetynet Fix, zygisk ....)
And edit 2 : I forgot to thank you for this thread !
Common way to flash rom with upgrade (not update) is clean install.
Also, magisk handles safetynet with no problem. No need for that. And zygisk is not module.
For that specific application, check that it is fully selected in zygisk since sometimes all checkboxes for application is not selected.
You're welcome
