Question About morotolo China Rom - Moto Edge X30

Anyone have a guide for install google play and Services in morotolo China rom?

You have it already? If so I want details. How're you finding it?
These China Roms usually have it hidden in the rom. Has to be activated by going into the Google settings if I remember correctly

Download Google APK. And following all the instructions.

Hello I recently received my moto edge x30 from china where I am using it in Canada. Google services run just fine. GPS is good too. I have not run into any heating issues. This is the first Chinese ROM phone where it does not feel like a Chinese market phone. Extremely good device so far

Do you guys know if a software update will wipe out root and bootloader locked status? There is a new update available for the chinese Rom. Wanted to know the steps that should be followed for rooted devices.

You need to root your device and systemize android auto app in order to make it work...
It's the only way I could get it to work.
There a tutorial in this same forum...
However you will not be able to install the android updates easily if you do this...

What about the chinese apps that you can't remove? Doesn't that bother you?

No because on most Chinese phone, including this one, almost every app can be uninstalled including system ones so they can be removed. Also xda has adbcontrol to further clean up the device.

Cn rom nfc work with Google pay? NFC TAP PAYMENT

Well I would really like to know how many Chinese apps there are that you can't get rid of if you could comment?
I tried a couple of Aliexpress sellers with the same Question and got nowhere.
Also in the description it says "English not 100% support" so I don't know what to expect there either.

Here's a screen shot from the website showing lots of CN Apps.

I was able to get rid of all of those apps. The majority can be uninstalled a few like app center can be disabled. These are the apps I have on my phone. I used adb control to disable some additional Google apps. To me that is the one benefit of Chinese roms, just about anything can be uninstalled even system apps.

Something doesn't make sense. I thought the CN Rom doesn't come with Google Apps and those are the ones we all want? Having asked that I would like to buy the CN Rom Motorola X30 because it is about $150 cheaper and it comes with the 68W charger whereas the USA Version only has the 30W charger (Edge + 2022) even though it can use the 68 W and 8GB Ram vs 12 on the CN version. I am not a tech person and don't want to try and learn how to use adb. If I just could uninstall all but 2 or 3 CN Apps I would get it but I read there is some other issues like Android auto doesn't work and some other things.

Has anyone with a rooted One X tried to install Google Wallet yet?

Now that the device is rooted, has anyone tried installing Google Wallet? Here are some basic instructions on how you should be able to get it working on your device:
1) Install the Wallet apk.
2) Install Market Enabler (download it from the Play Store - it's the one with a green logo that says ME).
3) Open Market Enabler, click on settings list, click and hold T-Mobile US and select fake this provider now.
4) Open the Google Wallet application and set it up. Google will give you $10 to spend on whatever you want upon signing up.
You can find all the necessary files and more details in the Galaxy Nexus thread here.
It'd be great to hear from any rooted One X owners to see if it works.
Doesn't anyone here have a rooted One X?

Thank you. Looks like the application is indeed rejecting non-Nexus devices? But there was a new version of Wallet released last week (the one you installed is about a month old - I can't find an APK of the latest version), maybe that one includes support for the One X?

Ah, looks like no Google Wallet for One X users then - at least for now. Thanks for your help
Same issue for me - Euro One X on Att.
Not working for me either, worked on my old gn.
I think the problem is that market enabler don't work though, because when I go into play it doesn't let me download us apps even though I fake t-mobile..
edit, meaning I can't find the app via play, so I had to manually download the apk from here. Also I found google music, but it wouldn't let me download. But at least it works after I installed it manually.
Any updates on this? Google wallet sounds awesome, i wanna give it a try (i'm in Australia)
I have rooted htc one x and i am on T-mobile us and this doesn't work form me either
I just tried it and didn't work!
Wondering if by any chance someone has managed to get this working?

Another One X T-Mo USA user
But no, saddly no Wallet support yet. I'm thinking the app phones Google with your phone and carrier and both need to be on Google's approved list.
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
Really doesn't make sense to me why the developer (Google in this case) would not release the app to be more compatible with newer phones.
I may not understand it correctly, but it seems to me there should be no carrier involvement other than what AT&T already does. By that I mean block apps and limit the users so they can dictate where we spend our money.
Am I wrong in saying that Google has our card information. The phone has the app and the hardware and it communicates through Near Field Communication to the terminal and then the terminal processes the transaction? Where is the carrier in this loop? Does the app send data over the network to the card processor? I thought it was just the terminal that did all of the processing?
Someone correct me if I am wrong here....
I just installed it, and even though I used Market Enabler to fake my carrier to be T-Mobile US, I installed Wallet and it says 'Not support country/carrier'... Spewing.
BAHAHAHAHA and you all thought going to get free ten bucks
lmao...atleast i did n got burned
The phone itself needs to be added by Google to the devices GW supports. With AT&T being the only place it's available in the U.S., and AT&T not supporting GW, it's doubtful the U.S. One X will ever get GW support. And there's little reason for Google to add support for a device that's not even sold in the U.S. (international version) that only works on a network (AT&T) that's using a different electronic payment system (ISIS).
They just added the Evo to GW yesterday in anticipation of its launch. If the U.S. One X was going to be supported it would have been added at the same time since it's already in people's hands.
Google can't enable GW without the cooperation of the carrier whose network the phone's being used on. The Nexi are the only phones on AT&T's network that they'll carry GW traffic for and that's because they're not AT&T phones (but are sold in the U.S. unlocked).

The only reason i wanted NFC was to use Google Wallet.

There currently is no root for the Verizon retail Note 4, but there is a Yemen team who is working on it. Everyone here is patiently, if not anxiously, waiting for news on whether they'll release it to us or not. Some are understandably somewhat skeptical as to whether it's real or not, or if it is real the realistic likelihood that we'll actually get it, considering how many times we've heard about true root for this thing and were disappointed. As to how to help you with your phone, without actually specifying what you need/want help with, we can't actually help you much. What is it you need help with?

Sorry, my friend, but as I mentioned earlier there is no current root method for the Verizon retail version of the Note 4. It's just not happening yet. As wonderful as the phone is, it can not be rooted at this point. There is a temporary root, but it disappears after reboot, so it's not really all that useful, something that many of us who have been a while have come to realize. Unless you have a developer version of the phone, which you can only get a full price, and Verizon doesn't sell (neither does any other Verizon retailer, for that matter), you can't root the phone. There is no root method, no link, that anyone here can share with because it's just not possible. Be patient, as the rest of us are trying to be, and we may hopefully have something soon, emphasis on hopefully. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it's just something we've had to live with. I've only had mine since last November, and as much as I'd like to have root, I found ways around it and can still do some of the things that usually require root. For instance, I use FoxFi for my mobile hot spot, which only costs just a little over $7, and I use Helium to back up my apps and their data. I will be honest, though, I would love to get rid of those dang adds. :cyclops:

Search the forums here for a program called Debloater. It's for Windows and lets you block whichever apps you want on your phone. I used it on mine when I wanted to block automatic updates, but others here use it to block many other apps also. If you go into Settings and then Application Manager on the phone, you can disable the app in question, but the best solution would be to just use the Debloater app for Windows I mentioned to block the apps. It's easy to use, just open the program, plug in your phone, make sure it's set to 'mass storage' (or whatever it says), and wait for the program to detect it. After that, select the app(s) you want to block and click the appropriate button. That's it. Oh, and since you mentioned your battery being drained quickly, I have to ask if your GPS, Wi-Fi, or bluetooth are turned on. If they are, turn them off, unless you actually need them, and that'll save a lot of battery juice. Hope this helps you out, trust me, after having every Android I've ever owned be rooted, I can feel your pain. And remember, you're not alone here. Maybe someone here should start a support group so we can begin to cope with all the false promises of root we've had to endure.:silly:

Honor 6X - Indian Version (BLN-L22) - Initial update

Seems that the initial update for Honor 6X is out before the release of the device.
The model name for Honor 6X (Indian version) is BLN-L22C675
The firmware is BLN-L22C675B131SP01
Here is the link - http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1190/g79/v70617/f1/full/update.zip
As of now since the device is not available in India, this wont be of no use.
However once we get the device we can use this.

Some apps on china versión google play BLN AL22 wont download. Tried everything and nothing, deleting data and cache of the google apps, still nothing. Maybe a regional block? A rebranding is posible because i purchase the phone in a online china store and they offer two versions for the china variant, ROM bln al 10 or bll l22.

i think interna Firewall is ok to Block some Apps.
But with Netguard you can Block every Service you want. Interna cant Block all Services.
And for people that want nonroot but blocking Services... its a good App. and you can add Filters for adblocking.
greatzzzz

No, the whole system. I think it blocks Xiaomi tracking as well.

Uh nice, personally I preferred to detach all ads permissions in every system / personal app but of course root is needed for that.
Thx for sharing anyway ! :highfive:

I have used this in the past on my other phones. I can't test for the N7 yet tho because it's still in the mail.

Yea, I emailed the dev and it's not compatible with Pie yet. Not sure if he'll be updating it. I used it on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 before I rooted it. Great simple app.

There's no built-in firewall. By default, every port is closed except 443 and 80.
With a separate firewall like AFWall+ you can deny games to reach the web and download ads for example.

You know that you can enter the RN7 Private DNS directly and no longer need an extra app
Install the app Hidden Settings to save a server at Private DNS. See Attachment

Notch compromise
I recently got a Note 7 as a temporary solution, but being one of the people disliking the notch and also not being quite happy by disabling it in the settings (less screen is bad, but so is a notch for me), I learned about a pleasant compromise: Nacho Notch
It blacks out the status bar but still displays icons and time. I set the top corner height and width to 42 (someone @ me, if they found a more accurate value ), which more or less resembles the regular corners.
Issues from being an overlay might occur, apps that don't like overlays, or the corners appearing on screenshots, but personally, I'm fine with that.
AdAway for rooted devices, works like a charm.

Hello, its not really an app, but if you google in the www. for miui homelauncher, you can find the apk in which you can change the icon size and the funktions from the ,real, miui11. For me on the note 7 eu it works.

Question Experience any bugs on the Vivo X80 Pro? Let's share and help each other!

So the few of us that bought this phone so far probably encountered some bugs here and there.
Let's share them and try to help each other, or even make Vivo aware of it.
1) Not Vivo exclusive, but the LTPO 3.0 display never drops to 1hz for me.
I've read it happens on S22 as well, OPPO, ONP phones.
Will update more in the future.
My refresh rate is set at 120hz but why does it still go down to as low as 10? Shouldn't it remain 120 no matter what since that's where I set it?
That's how LTPO works, in order to save battery as well.
You barely notice it though, i also set 120hz and i don't feel when it gets down.
set light mode and brightness more than 70% and screen will go 1hz at still.
problems - a lot of apps crashes/not start. diablo immortal not working at all

From 10hz to 1hz probably won't make much difference anyway.
As for Diablo immortal, it works great here no crashes at all.
Have you tried clearing the cache out?

But isn't that what smart switch is for? Why have the option for smart switch, 60, 120 if it'll always switch anyway? I feel it's what's causing the stutters even when I'm just scrolling
you have global rom (funtouch) or CN Origin?
Diablo works fine when i got device (OriginOS) but after last update of firmware a lot of apps wont work now

You are right, the stutters are due to LPTO 3.0 and the way Vivo implanted it.
They might fix it, but we need to ask them.

Yeah I hope they do release a fix. Not that it's a deal breaker but I'm just used to smooth scrolling with my Pixel phone
Well let them know then.
I'll open a ticket.

Just curious, one question to the owners of funtouch os: do you have google lens integrated into your camera app enabling a barcode scan?
I do not find any possibility to do that with the global (origin os, Chinese) version. Apparently one needs an extra barcode scanning app...

You can scan barcodes in Jovi Vision.
Camera -> More -> Jovi Vision.
But I think only chinese barcodes are supported.
It didn't work for any euro barcode I tried.

I've noticed that after using the vivo 50W wireless charger to charge the phone to 100% then checking battery health in devcheck or any other app for that matter it will show "Overvoltage" in battery health. Sometimes it happens randomly during the day. It will return back to "Good" after rebooting the phone but then after a while it will show Overvoltage again. Is this because the phone has dual-cell battery? A software bug? Because I'm not having any battery issues whatsoever like overheating and battery backup has been great.
Whilst using night mode sometimes, the phone takes too long to process. Then ends up turning the picture into a fully green picture. So none of the original image is saved. Only green screen. Any ideas on how to fix this?
