Hello. I have been delaying the update on mine until I find out about the bugs. Could you please fill us in on what the bugs are on Android 12 on this phone? I remember when I got Android 11 it was about 8 months of Real Racing 3 crashing on my Moto G Stylus...I'm hoping to avoid anything like that. TIA for any insight....

LG G PRO Kitkat 4.4 !?

while surfing LGVIET i found this interesting post. Someone here in XDA got his g Pro updated to Kitkat by Luck.
Mates,
Last week I lost IMEI of My LG G Pro (E980 att) while flashing a ROM. Unfortunately, I did not keep the EFS backup of my phone. Then somehow I came into contact with a person who is working in "LG". I gave the phone to him and requested to solve the problem. After one day he returned the phone. When I booted it.... Boom!!!!, it is KitKat with LG UI skin(ATT version)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a BETA version, though!!!. And He said very soon (within a month or so) the kit is going to be updated in our beloved LG G Pro all over the world. So, Cheer up, The wait is going to end very soon.
Meanwhile, the performance of G Pro with KitKat is buttery smooth, and the 'Battery life' is awesome!

"Cannot check the software version. Try again." - LG Bridge

I just want to update my G710ULM to pie... Why is this so difficult? I successfully backed up my data, connected via the Air Drive thing, but it won't let me update?

Having the same problem here. Wrote an Email to the LG Support with my IMEI. Turned out that i got a Demodevice that canĀ“t be updated.
Your phone has a cross Firmware. For sure a Sprint version (G710PM) with a 710ULM firmware flashed. LG bridge DO NOT GOING TO check your phone.
If you want to update to latest pie firmware you can do what I (and others) did, to flash manually the firmware by youself. I did it twice, my wife's phone and my own phone. 5 minute and you gonna have Pie 9.0 with 1 Oct. 2019 security patch.
Link with instructions <<Here>>
Good luck!
Have same issue, there is no cross firmware that I am aware of blocking me here...
its 2021. I bought 2 unlocked lg 8 thinq from amazon for me and my wife from a different seller. hers was one that came with alexa. Hers is through verizon/total wireless, mine is from att or tmobile with metropcs service. Hers updates perfectly and gets all the updates while my phone is stuck on the very first system update without a way to update. I'm on G820UM10i I tried lg bridge. It finds my phone but gives me a error and wont check phone for update. Will this work for my phone and how could i do this if i have a newer version needing android 10?

Has anyone with the G820QM8 (Amazon) variant received their Android 10 update?

It seems as if everyone else has received their update to Android 10, but I'm still stuck on 9. Tried updating through settings and LG Bridge, but nothing new. I just want to see if anyone else with the Amazon variant is in the same boat or if it's out there and it's a problem on my end.

Same here, I haven't seen the update either. As far as I can tell based on when the Amazon version got the last update it's only reasonable to assume that the Amazon variant will most likely be the last to get the update to Android 10. We are going to be updated but I don't expect it to be any sooner than a month or two behind everyone else.
I don't think any of the Canadian devices have gotten an official update yet. I'm running a beta android 10 on mine but would really prefer an official sooner than later. I miss using google pay!
I'm on the Amazon version and no update here either
No update on Amazon version here as well, from NY
I'm thinking that if ATT just got theirs a little while ago we still have a bit of a wait on our hands
Xfinity and US Cellular just got theirs today...which are regional carriers.
Downloading the update now. Finally.......guess Amazon had to wait for TMobile so they could truly be the last ones.

Downgrade from Android 12 to Android 10?

Hello everyone. On YouTube I saw some videos where it was possible to activate the 120Hz frequency on the screen. I had already tried it when I had Android 11 mounted on the phone, but it didn't work. So, since I have now updated to Android 12, and to be honest, I don't like that much, I would like to go back to Android 10 to be able to take advantage of the 120Hz screen function. Is it possible to downgrade 2 operating systems?
Nope, not possible to get back to 10...
Maybe....maybe 11 if you're 'lucky'
However 120hz will never work on this phone... the mod your thinking of made the option show, but it didn't actually change the refresh rate.
The Note 10 and 10+ do not have a 120Hz capable display. Display refresh rate is a hardware capability; going back to 10 won't do anything.
Ok, thanks for the clear answers. Oh well, I'll try to go back to Android 11 anyway, because I just can't see 12, it gets on my nerves!

Highest I'll go is Android 10.
The bootloader version dictates how far you can roll back.
In this case my bootloader version is 2 on this Android 9 variant.

I have the same question
I think you should consider a few things before migrating to A12, first and foremost:
The look: If you're happy with the look of the A11, stay there. Because A12 is totally different, bigger icons, "warmer" colors, all or most of the colors are pastel.
Something that you should take into account is that eventually most applications will start to change their appearance in order to become more familiar with A12.
Me, I've been considering going back to A11, but I'm afraid of bricking.
DO NOT upgrade to Android 12.
Take it from someone that upgraded his G60s to A12 last week and it's now considering moving to Samsung.
Android 12 has come with some deal breaking bugs that Motorola ain't likely to fix.
From the UI perspective I like A12 more, but what's that good for if the OS does not work well.
Hello. What kind of bugs do you talk about?
I'm on the way to buy this phone to replace my buggy, slow Nokia G20.
Maybe a custom ROM with Android 12 can solve those bugs, but I don't know.
well i have upgraded to the latest software version avaliable for the moto g60 and after few minor security update the phone looks good and the battery life is stable as you can expect from and android phone there where few bugs at the beginning but the security update have fix them all
and even if there is some issue still left after the latest update the phone is still going to get security update i think you should be good to go to update your device at least on a Indian rom it is stable
i hope this help
