[Q] Please help with ARHD 30.0 install

GOAL
To run Android revolution HD 30.0
DEVICES AND TOOLS
GT-N7100 bought in Finland and running stock 4.3 JSS15J.N7100XXUEMK9 not rooted
Windows 7 pro 64bit
Odin 3.09
Kies 2

First of all: Forget about point 1, downgrading BL to MJ5 MUST fail.
Second: Flash latest TWRP or Philz tar using Odin 3.09.
Third: Flash your desired rom through this custom recovery

The problem is custom recovery is getting over written by stock recovery as soon as your phone reboots after flashing the custom recovery.First download supersu v1.99 from Here and transfer it to your sd card.Now to avoid over writing of custom recovery by stock recovery flash the custom recovery as usual but instead UNCHECK AUTO REBOOT IN ODIN.Once odin says pass your phone will still be on and in download mode.Remove the battery put the battery back in after a minute or so.Manually enter into recovery mode (volume up +home + power) now you should be able to see the custom recovery now go to install zip choose sdcard1(external sd card) in philz for the first time it freezes and goes back to main menu don't worry just click on install zip again and navigate to sdcard1 find the superSu file you transferred , install it and then reboot your phone.Once your phone boots up supersu would ask you if you want to disable knox select yes (if it doesn't ask just open supersu app in drawer and it should)That's it your phone is rooted and deknoxed.Now go back to recovery back up your system as well as EFS.How to back up EFS look at this Guide.Now once you've backed up your current ROM and EFS all that is left is doing the correct wipes (full wipe) in philz or twrp. Also i suggest to use philz tar md5 file when flashing the recovery first time twrp at times doesn't work out right (once you have successfully flashed philz ,you can switch to twrp by flashing twrp zip file from philz recovery and back to philz from twrp by flashing philz.zip file ,it's just that easy).

I tried turning off the phone right after SuperSU install AND selecting off / restart

Yes - Disable recovery flash
Yes - Fix root (/system/xbin/su)
--> no difference, "SuperSU has been stopped"
The shield nagging about unauthorized access ...

I typed in terminal
su
pm disable com.sec.knox.seandroid
no difference --> reboot --> no difference (expected as I'm not rooted)
Please note that I'm running ND3 bootloader now, if it makes a difference.

@Dude35 When I get on laptop I'll link you to the official NE1 firmware which is latest KitKat France edition flash that via pc Odin it will take care of all the errors then just repeat the steps I listed above.
But just before that use one the newest philz tar file like 6.41.6 philz 5 is too old and not sure if that would work right I remember using philz 5 to root my 4.1.2 firmware report back if flashing newest philz works if not I'll link you up soon with official stock rom and then re root
Edit:didn't have to wait till I got on pc herehere's the stock NE1 firmware. Download it extract the zip file you'll get tar file put phone in download mode place the tar file ap/pda mode and hit start let it do its thing Good luck

Wifi works
Tons of errors while trying to restore app data from Helium but at least some data is restored

MiFlash uses fastboot writing.
SP Flash Tool uses eMMC writing.

Oh so if i want to flash older miui version for example I'm on global 12.0.6 and i want to flash 12.0.3 global what would i use so that my bootloader cant be lock

Try using sp flash tool.
But if you are on V12.0.5.0 or higher, you need to bypass authorization and flash in EDL mode: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...d-flash-in-edl-with-no-auth-for-free.4229683/

Xiaomi flash tool is an official tool specifically only for Xiaomi devices, it can flash in fastboot mode and download mode both.
Sp flash is an unofficial tool which works for almost every device with Mediatek chipset, and it can flash only in download mode.

You are using wrong DA file.
See "Download-Agent (DA) file" in "Downloads".

Is it possible to get rid of dynamic partitions and install some android 9 (Pie) from old days of freedom?

But, android 9, 10, 11 and 12 are totally compatible.
So, I think yes, you can.

Yes, I mean GSI, but without the super partition, where every partition goes to root (boot, system, vendor, userdata, etc)

Try to flash other MIUI versions in firmware upgrade mode.

I suggest you to unlock bootloader once you can and then, backup it following my guide:

so I'm flashing the romglobal v11.0.9 then I flashed the md1img from rom_eng but waht I do is replace the one on the global rom nd the flash it because if I load the entire rom_eng it says that I have to flash erase all but I can't still use maui meta

This method requires the download of the original stock rom firmware.
This method will ERASE userdata.
This method will LOCK bootloader again.
1. Download and extract the ORIGINAL STOCK ROM FIRMWARE.
2. Download and install SP Flash Tool.

4. Select "Download" tab.
5. Click "Choose" button for finding the Scatter-loading. Go to the folder images, inside the extracted rom and select the file: MT6768_Android_Scatter.txt.

Hello. I understand but I am noob and want to make sure I dont commit mistakes. I will use method 2. have miui 12.0.6, global phone Redmi Note 9 -Checked-. I downloaded scatter file "MERLIN--MT6768_Android_scatter--full--VD171.txt", download agent "DA_VD171--3.3001.2020-07-02020-07-14.bin", and put them on sp flash tool. did UNCHECK "LIB DA match" and UNCHECK "Storage Lite Cycle". Can I proceed to format persist and frp partitions following your steps or I need to flash something before? Am I missing something? It seems easy and a very unknown method. If I do it all carefully, are they serious risks of bricking phone? is it prudent to backup using readback first? Why do most "technicians" use server methods to unlock xiaomi account? Really thanks, I was looking for a solution months ago. My device is not blocked but I lost my sim -not at my name- and didnt have a email associated so this seems to be my unique option. If you are unsure, just backup them using the readback first.
But, you do NOT need to flash anything before of the format.

well sounds dumb..but my device is locked and you wrote device has to be shut off..but i cant shut it it off..if i hold power..it just restarts..if i hold power and vol down it also just turns off for a second starts again....any solution?

Your device will be detected between one reboot and the next reboot, even if the device got in bootloop.

I'm not sure.

Can i use Scatter file for MT67698 or is there other method to remove mi account, I bought used phone with logged mi account , phone isnt blocked but I cant format

Frp only is not enough.
You may try removing micloud totally.

Flash Indonesian fastboot rom on a Global Variant via ADB and Miflash
Turn off phone and reboot to fastboot. Connect the said device to PC.
In PC, run cmd-here.exe in the adb directory and enter:
fastboot reboot fastboot

system.img
vendor.img

fastboot erase system
fastboot erase vendor
fastboot reboot bootloader to enter bootloader
Make sure you backup the IMEI to ensure safety before flashing via SP Tools.
Download an Indonesian fastboot rom from source then flash it to phone via MIFlash. (Recommend: 12.0.1 or lower)
After flashing, reboot the device and viola, you've got an Indonesian version of the MIUI to your Global Variant Device.
Flashing TWRP on a Redmi Note 9
Download the said recovery from this link below

Reboot device to bootloader and connect to PC.
In PC, run adb and type
"fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img" (vbmeta from the indonesian fastboot rom, NOT from the Global fastboot rom)

"fastboot reboot recovery"
After that, the recovery should be working.
FLASHING CUSTOM ROM (for 12.0.1.0) OR PORT (11.0.2.0)

Download a Custom Port from a telegram or the links provided below (made by Communos)

Then, connect phone to PC and copy your preferred rom to SDCard (Memory card is recommended).
Reboot your phone to recovery.
In TWRP, you have to wipe data, dalvik, cache and internal storage.
Select install and choose the rom from SDcard. Then, flash it.
Reboot your device.
Viola, you just installed a custom port or rom to your device.
Note: I will add more detail in the future but right now, if you have questions, please ask in this thread.

You forgot fastboot reboot fastboot before fastboot erase system, it's an important step.
And before flashing the Port, you have to wipe data, dalvik, cache and internal in TWRP.

From what I have seen, MIUI is very meticulous in secretly invading someone's privacy. This was said by @phhusson and @erfan that GSI Ports are more secure than MIUI.

Note : I'm Still able to boot to Fastboot & Recovery

I'm not sure, but I think you can't reboot to fastboot inside the fastboot.
Try
fastboot reboot bootloader

Nevermind, seems that TWRP implements user space fastboot (basically TWRP works as fastbootd when connected to the PC.
This can be verified with:
fastboot getvar is-userspace

I second that: Link does not work; I tried TWRP for V11.0.4.0.QJOCNXM which is then stuck on bootscreen.
EDIT: Download working again and I just installed Lineage 18.1. Love you, guys!!

Apologies for the newbie (to flashing redmi devices) question but I can't get SP Flash tool to back up the IMEI. Drivers are all on, but when you plug in the phone to the USB cable nothing is read back. Do I need to have unlocked the bootloader before this works? I'm still waiting for mine to be allowed

Then I guess I am currently unable to open / dismantle the phone. What if I find another Huawei phone that is unlocked? Can it help with installing the drivers?

I managed to add the driver without opening the phone but I failed erasing the FRP as you can see on the screenshots above.

Please select your USB device in COM PORT.
It is showing waiting for devicees.

Yes I can try to help you unlock your device.
I cannot share the tool here as it is a paid tool and XDA does not allow it.
I do frp unlocking for free. You would need to install USB Redirector so that I can access your mobile phone to unlock it using
unlock tool.
