I can not get connected WM Live - P3300, MDA Compact III ROM Development

My M650 runs Bepe's WWE WM6. Works fine, I can use IE without any problem, and I use wifi connection. But when I launch Windows Live Mobile, I get this error message:
"Windows Live was unable to establish an Internet connection. Please chek your internet settings and make sure that you have access to data services under your billing plan. If you need help, please contact your mobile service provider."
I should configurate the registre?

I can get connected fine. My problem is that even if I merge my contacts with outlook it creates a bunch of duplicates anyway and I either have the choice of deleting them from messenger (so they don't show in messenger but they still show on my PC messenger) or deleting them from outlook (so they don't show in Outlook 2007.
I can't believe how useless these two key teams at Microsoft are at talking to eachother. It's bad enough that you can't sync outlook contacts with live on the desktop, and then they go and do this to screw up the phone as well

Are you using Pre-N router?

I am also having the same problem. Please help!

Sorry, I know now why I can not have Windows Live : I must pay French Orange telecom operator before. So, I don't think I will pay Orange. Anyway I can still survive without Windows Live messenger.

Microsoft Direct Push

Has anyone been able to get direct push working on WM6? I am looking for a way to get email faster than every 15 mins. I cant use BB Connect because it does not support attachments (jpg, pdf, mp3). I need something that does.
Any suggestions?
Yeah, works great. Not much of an update from WM5 though, unless you're using Exchange 2007 (which I'm not).
Works fine for me also..
Yup working here as well from my Exchange - 2003 so no HTML mail over DP yet.
is there a link to download (I looked in the wiki)? Can someone send me the CAB.
Does it support all file types?
There's nothing to download as directpush is built in to wm5 roms (post AKU2) and WM6 roms.
BUT you either need to have an exchange server 2003 sp2 account (or exchange 2007 !) or you can rent one. There's free ones but they're not that great. If you want a really good hosted solution - try 4smartphone.com
I keep getting sync errors with this version. It allows me to set it up, but direct push does not work. I set it up for 5 minutes and it syncs fine. When I plug it into the laptop, it gives error messages that it cannot find the server, but it syncs. This is strange.
Works great for me as well ! Have no problems at all !
Have you tried Emoze

Direct Push not working in WM6 LVSW
Direct Push is not working for me either - WM6 LVSW Pro (Cingular) - Exchange 2003 sp2
All of my Exchange information syncs perfectly, then I get an error message:
"Your current sync schedule requires a cellular data connection. Please setup a cellular data connection as described in online Help or change the sync schedule."
Support Code: 0x85020013
The only way I can get emails while using "as items arrive" setting is to force send/receive. I have been using Direct Push on Exchange 2003 sp2 for almost a year with no problems, and there is no way I can go back to every 5 minutes.
I noticed some people are having the same problem on WMXL 2.0 Even using the Fit4cat solution mentioned in that post did not work.
I did setup My ISP settings using this Cingular CAB file . Could that have something to do with the problem?

@ DenaiL
After using that CAB, did you have to go in and manually enter username/password into the Cingular GPRS connection?
I still had to go in and enter this information.

Nope, it just worked...as is.
Hard Reset > Redownloaded and reinstalled the CAB from your sig. Now Direct Push is working. Thank you!
For some reason the first time I downloaded and installed the cab it did not setup my connection properly.
Now I can go to sleep.
Does this direc push use alot of data. I am on a 500mb monthly plan (crap i know) but HSDPA is so expensive in AU (telstra, nextg).

Depending on the network, directpush itself uses between 5 and 15mb a month - just for the heartbeat and occasional syncs. If you set your email to sync only first 5kb and no big attachments, you should be able to keep the actualy email traffic down.
I have Orange's unlimited (with a 1gb FUP) and use only 100 or so mb each month all in.

Messaging and Security Feature Pack
Question: I need to get the Messaging and Security Feature Pack
My understanding this can be integrated into the ROM. Is this correct? Any chance of getting this to work with WM6?

Thanks

I have similar issue since yesterday. Also, when I try to search for something - it does not bring the results. Just opens another search window.

Things were fine when I was using an old instalation of custels WM6...

Real weird.. anyone have any ideas?

I had very similar problem, when I used rom Schaps_WM6Pro_WWE_3.54b-0804_Full. Problem was in internet settings (Ver. 3.60 - fixed).
I solved this problem install internet settings form cab: T-Mobile_UK_Settings_V1-1.1.CAB
Another problem, Hermes refuses operator settings. Whes T-Mobile tried to send me.
Similar Issue with Live Mail
I am also having an issue using Windows Live Mail on Sleuth's latest ROM. Over the last few days, some of my email messages are coming through blank. The message size is listed as 0/kb, but there is no option to download more of the message. When I check my email via PIE or on my laptop the entire message is there as normal.
Funny thing is this has only started over the past couple of days. It worked fine for weeks before, and now it seems that this issue is becoming more frequent (I got 8 blank messages today!)
I even tried changing to a different Live account and then back to mine. It fixed the blank messages in my inbox, but the second email I received was blank again!
Has anyone else experienced blank emails coming through from their hotmail email account?
Microsoft is currently extending from 2G to 5Gb live acount. Could be linked ?

I have a pocket pc made by HTC, model is Tytn. I am a Cingular subscriber in LA.
I have been using my PPC with windows mobile live 6 to access my hotmail account for the last year with no problem.
Just yesterday I installed an OFFICIAL WINDOWS MOBILE 6 rom that is the latest update from HTC for my phone. After instalation I could no longer sync Mobile live with my hotmail inbox as before. However, I can connect to my Live messenger from the same phone. When I try to sync my mobile live client with my hotmail inbox, I get an error message thats states, "email server did not respond, sync has failed". I then tried to connect with my wifes hotmail live account and had no problems at all. ThenI tried reconecting with my hotmail info and I got the same error message and the sync attempt with my hotmail inbox failed again.
This doews not make sense. I can sync with my wifes account, but cannot sync with my hotmail account. Why can I not sync to my hotmail inbox with mobile live, but I can sync to Mobile live messenger? Why does my hotmail live account work on the PC, but not on my phone? Why did it work the other day seamlessly, but not now after upgrading to a newer Official Windows Rom. Do you guys need to reset my hotmail account? I have also reinstalled the old rom and I still have the same problems.
Please solve my issue.. I depend on my mobile email retrieval from my phone for my job and at this point I am losing money and clients since I cannot use my email on my phone.

Lets back up here. This same device was working fine with my current hotmail account just a few days ago. All I did is reflash to a new Official, HTC, Microsoft windows mobile 6. I also flashed back to the version that worked and it still is not working... Maybe my account info is corrupt living on your particular server. How about just resetting my account, I bet it would start working again.
How about your customer service department live up to the enormous reputation that is Microsoft, and give me a call to help me work out this problem.
My number is.... XXX-XXX-XXXX

Ok... I am very frustrated that nothing has solved my issues with MY ACCOUNT.
Here are the answers to your questions. I'm hoping you can solve my issue.
- Did changing your display picture work?
No. I even changed it to a blank picture as well as a default pic.
- Were you able to sign in to the Windows Live application using a different email address? If yes, what email address did you use?
Yes I was. Like I said in my initial email, I can sign in and syncronize to my wifes hotmail account inbox no problem.
- Were you able to successfully clear cache and history of visited websites on your device?
Yes I was succesful doing that.
- Were you able to sign in using the WAP version of Windows Live Mobile?
Yes I was.
- What is the exact error message you are getting?
"Syncronization failed. Unable to syncronize inbox. Server did not respond."
- What specific HTC device are you using?
HTC Tytn. Same device as the cingular 8525. I have now tried 3 different roms.. 2 of which used to work with the windows live client before. Current rom is the latest from the HTC website.

I had a problem with live when I first went to WM6, a while ago now, that sounds similar to the problems being experienced here. My solution was to log into hotmail / live on a PC and update my passport account. I attributed this to maybe an old account.
Well... I gotta hand it to ya... I went into my setting page for my live account and changed my id and password for my live account and that fixed it... I find it pretty interesting that Microsoft had no idea, or they just didn't Giva F-ck.
Thanks...
JB
Hi.. I found this morning that i dont have anymore contacts on my msn list?!?! Read on some forums this can be cause by msn servers going down or hacking!! Anyone else having this problem today?

Unfortunatly that doesn't work for me, have tried 4 different versions and everytime the same problem.
If I Sign in with an other account the e-mail syncs correctly!
On my old Wizard it worked always, so it's very strange.

Try going to your windows live account from your computer. Then change your password and add or change your windows live ID. This worked for me and I had the same problems.

Mail doesn't work after Sync

Something really strange is happening with my phone and i couldn't figure out what is.
I have been having many problems trying to download my email into my Excalibur Phone (doesn't matter if I use GPRS/EDGE or WIFI). I configure out everything, select send/receive and nothing happend. Exactly nothing, the phone doen't connect, no errors showed, etc. Also if I try to stop the send/receive option it also doesn't do anything and It keeps trying to stop.
The internet connection works well I can use the explorer and other applications to sync mail like funambol, but not the regular WM Client.
I've tried many different configurations and also different imap/pop providers, nothing happens. I also decided to try with version 6.1 and the same story happens again.
At the end I try to change the order I do the fresh install and suddenly the mail start working until I sync my device with the pc using the Windows Mobile Center 6.1. Yes aftet that It stop working with exactly the same behavior.
So, in resume starting my device with a fresh version of windows mobile 6 I can configure my imap/pop3 mail and it's work fine. I connect my phone to the PC to sync the contacts/calendar/tasks (no mail) and my mail stop working again (leaveing the same configuration or deleting it and configure it again).
Looking forward for your help. Thanks.
Uriel.
What internet plan do you have exactly. Is it the 5.99 or the 19.99 one?
I live in Chile and the prices here are diferent. I dont have internet plan I pay per kbyte because I use more WIFI.
Did you run the connection wizard in the tools folder?
the connection wizard doesn't help me because the chilean parameters are not in the list. also i don't have any problem connectiong to internet, it works fine, the problem is with the mail client only.
I've discovered something new.
I restart from a fresh install of windows mobile 6.1 ricks v24. I connect to the inernet and sync my mail perfect.
Then I connected to phone to the PC to sync and set to sync ONLY the CONTACTS and it works fine. After it te phone continue working well and the mails continue working.
So I decided to take the next step, I went back to the Windows Mobile Center and enable to sync the Calendar also. After the sync finished, the problem returns. I cant connect to my mail again. It dont work.
Then I restarted the phone and went to the Windows Mobile Center and disable the Calendar sync. After the sync the calendar is deleted from my phone and the mail start working again. I can't figure out which is the relation between the mail and te calendar but something is happening here.
Thanks for your help.

Activesync problem, running wm6.5 please

hello;
need some help; hopefully being able to resolve the problem;
while ago I did upgrade to 3VO.2.80.092509, good so far, except the ringing problem that paid some people to solve it for me,
anyway;
recently I deleted my contact list from my mobile ( htc s621), now my contacts are in my outlook (outlook 2007), and I want to have them on my mobile.
whatever I do I can not get my contact list into my mobile, I am running win xp sp2 on my home pc, activesynce 4.5, I have deleted the " delete mobile device" from atcivesync window, and sync many times, it just does not work, no error has been given , I see the syncing process and shows how many contacts are syncing, when done and look at mobile contact list, nothing there.
I made a new contact in my mobile and synced it, the new has gone to outlook contact list, even I edited the new one in outlook and synced it again, the new contact on phone were updated,
but wonder why i can not get other contacts into the phone,
I switched " replace item on device" and "replace item on desktop", on activesync widow, still nothing,
whilie searching online for an answer, there was an answer that if I turn off the " enable advanced network functionality" it should work, and for the guy who werre seeking solution it did work, but I can not find such thing on my mobile.
it should be on setting/ connection/usb-pc/, but I guess it should be available on wm5 only I am not sure.
Anyone know how to make this works?
I don't wan to type over 100 contact names into my mobile again.
appreciate your help.
