Suggestions if you are taking any.
Yes and if you taken the time and effort to create an odin version, why not put GB bootloaders in it as well instead of making ppl flash XXJVR first and then this if they are coming from Froyo. Might be a good idea to provide a cwm recovery flashable version for ppl who are already on GB rom's. Not everybody is next to the computer when they flash new ROM.
one last thing, you fixed on kvr but missed this

Do some more test now ...

I must say this is the best JvR rom that i have tried..nice..smooth and stable so far. I am testing the battery life seems good so far..will keep testing for a couple of days..nice work mate

Installed kernel TalonDEV 0.4.3 ... working great.
I also installed the theme GingerWay BlueOcean (I had to make my own install script to make it work).
Seems to be a little bit laggy, compare to my previous JVQ (Criskelo V77) with same kernel ... I then put lagfix and now it's much better (even if I thought that lagfix was obsolete on newer GB ROMs ...).

Tiramisu EVO EXTRA V. 3.2 XXJVK
Tiramisu EVO EXTRA V. 3.1 XXJVK
Installation: (Follow the instructions to the letter!)
1) Turn off all lagfix
2) Flash XXJVK Stock firmware (for those passing from Froyo to Ginger is a must the version with bootloader that you find here: Link. Info at the end of post)
3) Put the rom in the internal SD (8 GB)
4) Enter Download Mode and flash speedmod kernel (without auto-reboot)
5) When finished, while still in Download mode, remove the battery and start the phone in CWM
6) Now in CWM (written green) do a wipe of all (cache, data, dalvik)

F.A.Q.
1) Where can I see for more info?
For any questions please refer to this Thread: Gingerbread XXJVK info and news.
2) Why do you advise me the bootloader version? safe?
For those who pass for the first time from Frøya to Ginger is a must with the bootloader version. In fact if you flash a version without the bootloader, you will have the graphical glitch (colored striped screen) during boot and beyond.
This bug/problem is due to the fact that you are using a bootloader old and need updating.
This does not prelude the possibility of returning to Froyo and / or ginger. only updates the bootloader.
In addition, the version I posted is absolutely secure.
3) There is an installation less: invasive / fast / easy?
For now, no. As they become available methods of installation easier, I will certainly update you.
Have Fun!

I have big problems with Gb keyboard with ALL GB-Roms.
So I ask you, too, if you or anyone will have, any probs with a laggy and slow (I think without multitouch like on froyo) GB-keyboard?
So again I've flashed a lot Roms but always the same...
If you can surely can confirm that you don't have the bug in your Rom or you did something special that fixed this, I'll try your Rom.
But if not or you aren't sure, you maybe have a solution for this?
PS: I flashed JVK WITH bootloaders with 512 but also 513.pit file a lot of times, then a kernel (special for darky or the speedmod for other Roms).
Cheers!

Hello,
i am currenlty using overcome rom based on the GB, can i follow your install steps mentioned or do i need to do something special to remove the overcome first ??
sorry for asking but i am not a pro yet regarding android
EDIT: i couldn't wait so i flashed it directly on the overcome using odin 1.7, now it is rebooting for first time
i have a question please : how to remove the startup tone ???
thanks in advance
EDIT 2 : i got also the reboot loop so i installed the stock rom then reflashed this one and it is working fine now, just need to know how to remove the startup tone
Also how to apply the tweaks for best performance ??

GUYS PLZ COMMENT!!
Sent from my Hero using XDA App
so it's cm7, like ele's cm7 rom, but built by the cdma hero cm7 developer instead of the gsm hero cm7 developer (ele). Interesting. There should be little difference I would think since the hardware is almost the same and I believe ele has talked with cdma folks in the past to share fixes and features both ways....
but it's worth trying this anyhow. hopefully the gps works at all, and is reliable and stable.

First..... this rom has awsome speed, its smooth, fast and quite stable.
-everything works i think
-smooth UI, similar to OMFGB
-amazing speed
Bugs: i cant install some part of my apps like: cut the rope, or titanium backup 4.x.x(i installed 3.8.3),Honeybrad theme, NTsense theme.
it says Application Not Installed.

Can this rom play a video longer than 71 minutes???
First impressions very good, very fast and responsive. Will test GPS navigation tomorrow. Would like an option for 2d gallery if possible. Thanks for the ROM, as fast a GB as I've used
I also experienced problem where it won't install some of the applications. Other than that pretty good rom, haven't tested GPS properly though, just for a few minutes.
Sent from my Hero
ffast & stable ...battery life is also good ... thanx gona stick with this rom...
no chinese.....can you add chinese language?
How come does it that the CDMA Hero roms (Ports) of GB run faster and better then the actuall CM7 version we got for the GSM Hero?
Aint that just stupid?

all I can think of is the fact that CDMA hero has always had a much larger and more advanced dev team than gsm hero. There has frequently been some trickle-down of their concepts into our roms. Sometimes we're in the lead, but more often than not the real inventors have been working hard on the cdma side.
Maybe this is still true?
However I'm not in any way putting down the great devs and cookers who have kept gsm hero one of the most popular underground phones even now
Elelinux, erasmux, JieeHD, Riemer, Ninpo, rdejager, Feeyo, Pulser, robocik, RaduG...
and everyone else of course.
;-)
Just sayin... heh heh (should be a nice controversial list for ppl to read through)
For those having troubles with apks installing, pushing them to system/app is a workaround for the time being (or so i have found ymmv)
k, yea that is a really strange and annoying problem for sure. I've hit it with a few things.
LOL, I didn't realise that guide on my server was public. Leaking FYA stuff before it's even on the site. Don't tell!

Hi guys, today I want to show you my first ROM for my Galaxy S.
Actually it was made only for the forum in which I collaborate (www.uebarena.com/android-arena), however I decided to let it make an appearance on XDA too.
First of all, Credits:
-the whole cm7 team for the awesome AOSP rom
-zacharias.maladroit, for the awesome kernel
-the xda comunity, with its guides and tutorials which helped me out a lot
-my dear friend Memnoch (have a look at his rom on the DHD forums) who supported me in this process
-my beta testers which trusted me and tested all my builds.
Secondly, Features
(See Changelog in 2nd post)
SCREENSHOTS (launcher pro plus not included in the rom)
VIDEO by umberto1978
(quality is not the best, but he promised to make another one with a better camera, since he is recording with a galaxy mini as you can see )
Pre-installation:
-backup all your app &data before flashing (with titanium, mybackup ecc...)
-I suggest doing a factory reset, so that you come from a fully clean install.
-if you are already on a CM7, do a format of /system and wipe dalvik & wipe cache.
-if you are on a stock rom, first you need a CWM.
Installation
requirements:
_any gingerbread rom (stock or custom)
_CWM recovery
1)
_put the .zip file in your internal sdcard
_reboot in recovery
_factory reset
_install zip from sdcard>choose zip from sdcard> CyanoForTomorrow_v1.0.zip
_when it ends flashing, reboot
_Done. Enjoy.
2)
_download latest gapps here
_flash them in recovery
_Done
If coming from a previous release of CFT:
_reboot in recovery
_wipe dalvik & wipe cache
_flash the rom
_reboot
_after that, install the gapps
(optional) Post-installation
Battery calibration
_connect the phone to the charger, wait till it reaches 100%, then use the battery calibration app.
Change theme:
_open the theme chooser app, select a theme and apply it.
lockscreen ICS-style
_download the file ics-metamorphhere
_put it in your internal sdcard.
_open metamorph
_unzip/extract new theme
_tap the arrow and browse to the theme
_apply
change font
_downlod my font packhere.
_extract
_create a folder named .fontchanger in your sdcard and put all the fonts in it
_opene the app, choose the font and let it reboot (if not, do it manually)

CHANGELOG:
Announcement:
this project has changed his main purpose.
due to the temporary instability of ICS portings, and since buildbot (RIP) stopped building nightlies a long time ago,
I'll manage to keep cm7 alive, updated and optimized at best with my rom,
using as a base the kangs provided by the "kangaroo" thread here on XDA.
v1.4
-new rom base, updated until 02.02.2012 (check the cm7 changelog)
-ics animations are finally back
-"hello hello bug" fixed
-added HW acceleration to stock browser (need feedback on that)
-changed kernel to Fugumod (daily 1976v)
v1.2.1
-updated base, with new stock lockscreens (Holo is beautiful)
-T9 dialing in phone app (like on stock roms) is included, pretty useful and works like a charm.
-JVU modem
-Thunderbolt removed (caused instability on the long term)
-no ICS anims (problem with framework, will be implemented in next releases)
v1.2
-updated kang base (it has all the cm7 updates until the 7th of december, give a look at the official cm7 changelog)
-changed bootanimation
-thunderbolt 2.2.0 scripts included (credits to pikachu01, original thread here)
-double release: one has the platypus kernel, the other one stays with the stock cm7 kernel
-keeps all the stable and fast features as before, just in a better way.
-other nice stuff you better not know
_______________
v1.0: first release
_based on cm7 nightly #176
_Android 2.3.7 AOSP.
_fast and stable!
_zach's Platypus kernel preincluded (v17r18 - still named r16)!
_JVT modem!
_improved gps!
_2g/3g switch tweaked for better responsiveness!
_market updated to last version!
_ICS bootanimation
_ICS animations! (ported from the 4.0 sources)
_better wifi signal!
_improved battery usage!
_more free RAM (around 100-120)
_preinstalled Theme chooser themes
_fonts e wallpapers (separate download) for a 360° customization!
_preinstalled apps, to have faster post-installation tweakings
_more stuff under-the-hood
reserved for future use 2

A v1.1 will come up in the next days with the neo18 kernel (definitely awesome)
and with a new cm7 nightly base, as long as they add more fixes or interesting things

Why not including the ICS lockscreen directly in the ROM ? This is not possible?

And no, I won't buy a SGS2, as my sgs is perfect and fully functional
SGS1 FTW!
Feedback: The ROM is fast, good bootanimation, there is a small difference between default and zacharia's kernel, but i prefer the second one ! And that would be great if you include by default ICS theme and lockscreen .
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK . (Topic marked as favourite )

that's mainly because not everybody likes it like I or we do...
I've received mixed opinions about this,
so I thought it would be better to let the end-user choose to apply the theme and the lockscreen, or to stick with a different theme/lockscreen.
oh and thanks for the feedback
