USB-C PD Charger with multiple USB-C ports - Google Pixel 2 XL Accessories

Has anyone seen a USB-C charger that has multiple USB C ports (and preferably no USB-A ports) that is Power Delivery spec'd?

I searched and searched a week ago and couldn't find any!

USB-C Power Delivery Chargers

Hi all,
I just have some clarification questions regarding the chaos that is currently USB-C. Will ANY USB-C with PD support charge any other USB-C phone, tablet, or laptop if those devices support PD? Do we need to ensure that the charger used supports specific charging voltages, or will any of them work at different charge rates?
I bought a 2017 HP Spectre x360 13" a few months ago. (SIDE NOTE: If you're looking, this is an amazing convertible Ultrabook... 4k screen w/ Pen, Core i7, 512GB NVMe SSD, 16GB RAM, Thunderbolt3). It charges via a 45W USB-C charger. I generally have laptop chargers everywhere, so I ordered a bulk of Dell LA45NM150 chargers from eBay. They say 5V/20V on the sticker. Should these also charge my Galaxy S8, which charges at 5V and 9V? Do chargers need to say Power Delivery or PD to meet PD spec, or does that come along with having multiple voltages.
Likewise, I am guessing my laptop NEEDS 20V to charge? So if I took say, a phone charger and plugged it into the laptop, would it just not charge since it can't switch to 20V?
I am also speculating that if a USB-C charger only says 20V on the sticker, will it fry a Galaxy S8? Or is there protection for this sort of thing?
I am no newbie to power, chargers, electronics, tech.. but there's a lot of gray area right now on this stuff it seems.
Anyone?

Also, another related question -- Is there any advantage to using a USB-C to USB-C charging cable and brick vs a USB-C to USB-A cable with a brick?

USB-C to USB-C supports ThunderBolt 3 and USB 3.1. So faster data transfer and charging... USB-A does not support this... I think....

So then, why put a USB-C port on a wall charger? Just so you can use the same USB-C to USB-C cable?

Yeah I guess so... USB-C will be universal soon enough anyway so this will no longer be a worry haha!

Does the Pixel come with USB A to USB C cable?

There was nothing said about what's going to be included besides the headphone adapter but I'm curious if the newer model will have the USB A to USB C adapter like last year's model.

Why those cables specifically?
according to this site, they list the contents of the box as:
The smartphone.
USB-C charger.
USB-C to 3.5mm earphone adapter.
User guide.
Power adapter.
edit: likely a copy paste from the official google site... scroll down almost to the bottom of the screen look for "whats in the box"
https://store.google.com/product/pixel_2_specs
also dont forget to checkout benson leung's reviews to see which cable/charger will charge your phone and not blow it up.. https://plus.google.com/+BensonLeung
nathan k has a google spreadsheet.. check it out also

what you want in cables / charges / adapters that use usb c
is to be USB-IF Certified

in the market now there are not many options
and the anker were cheaper than belkin

so no cable
but according to google it only for transferring data from your old phone
but i think it is the same one with the first pixel
maybe someone will confirm this

No USB Cable?

I was a bit surprised to find out that the Pixel 2 doesn't come with a transfer cable, and the only adapter is USB-C to USB-A. Luckily I still had mine from the original Pixel XL, but it was odd that Google didn't include one. Just a heads up for those who haven't received there's yet
That adapter allows you to use your old charging cable to transfer. Adapter into the Pixel 2, old charging cable into adapter and into old phone

I was surprised as well to see no USB-C to USB-A cable included. I also used mine from my original Pixel XL, but Google's cables are of such high quality that I would have loved to have another.

Correct, but this post isn't really about the adapter. It's about Google including one less cable versus last year. The original Pixels included the adapter, a USB-C to USB-C cable, and a USB-C to USB-A cable. The USB-C to USB-A cable is not included with the new Pixels.
And like the new Pixels, some phones these days only come with a USB-C to USB-C cable. The included adapter doesn't help in that situation. Very few devices fall into that scenario, but it still could happen.
The original came with the adapter too? I don't remember that

It did indeed. I've used it frequently for USB OTG.
FYI, you cannot use a normal USB-A cable and the C-to-A adapter and connect your Pixel to a PC. It will not allow you to charge or connect to transfer files.
Really sucks, because I used this at work a lot with my original Pixel XL. Something changed with the new hardware and it prevents you from doing it. Luckily, I also have the original C to A cable that came with my XL.
Definitely a bummer for someone going from iPhone to Pixel 2. Now I have zero cables I can use to charge my new phone in my car. I left Apple because I was tired of being forced to buy extra things to do basic stuff so a little irked that I need to buy a special connector for car charging. Anyone have recommendations on a good cable that will actually work for both charging and data transfer?
They replaced it with the headphone cable.

There are heaps of good USB C to USB A cables out there. If you need one you can buy the google one from their store. Would have been nice to get one in the box, but I still have 3 lying around that I've used for previous type C phones.

So which third party USB C-A cables support the full 18W charging capability of the Pixel 2 besides the overpriced one from Google?
Edit: I found this one which supports USB 3 and up to 3A, if anyone is looking.

No USB A-C cable supports 3A charging unless it is out of spec. Google's A-C cable does not support 18W charging.
https://plus.google.com/+BensonLeung/posts/HakwCMmd346
Do not use a 3A legacy cable to charge your phone, or you may risk damaging something.

Well the cable that I linked does have a 56kΩ pullup resistor, so it should adhere to the USB spec to prevent any damage.

Has anyone tested it to make sure it does though? I've seen several reviews from Nathan/Benson for cables that claim to have a proper resistor but don't.

I literally just got the cable today and noticed it's only saying charging. It should say "rapid charging" if fast charging is work correct?
Anyone confirm of a A-C cable that actually can fast charge?

I did bring up Accubattery and it will only charge at 1a even with a 2.4a charger, which is disappointing.
I received my phone yesterday and found this to be very annoying. I have a few questions:
-Is the USB-C on this phone 3.0 or 3.1 spec or just 2.0? I just assumed all these new phones had 3.0+ speed
-According to google store, the cable that comes with this phone is 2.0 spec ($20 effin dollars?). Is there a 3.0 spec cable that will work?
-Are there any third party cables out there that will fast charge and have 3.0+ spec? (of course 3.0 is pointless if the phone itself maxes out at 2.0)

USB C Wall Charger, multiple USB C Ports

I have two Xps laptops, and we have now two pixel 2's at the house all USB C.
Most chargers are 1 USB c port with multiple regular USB ports, and the Aukey that has two USB c ports failed spec.
Anyone know of any wall charger with multiple USB C ports?
This one has 2 C and 4 A ports. It gets good reviews.
Didn't see any others with more than the 2.

So that link is for an item with two different skus, which are actually 2 different charges with most of the reviews for the OG fast charge w/o the USB C.
Here is a youtube review of the one with USB C.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_K2kc5fHTk
It basically fails to fast charge the phone in the regular usb port.
That being said what i am most afraid of is the USB C port always being on. Which is a problem, because with phones such as the pixel that now use the USB C port as a headphone jack, if the USB C port is always on, on the charger, and the pixel thinks it's a headphone connection port it can cause the phone to get damaged.
Being that the charger failed basic charging specs it claims, i doubt the charger is USB c spec. Thank you for the suggestion doh
I suggest avoiding this product doh

That's unfortunate. Ah the growing pains of being early adopters of USB-C. Still reminds me of the early days of HDMI. Lot of misinformation and improperly speced items. eventually it all smooths out.

Pixel 2 XL compatible USB-C to ethernet + charger port?

I see there may be a couple of USB-C ethernet adapters on Amazon... and at least 1 review seems to say the fancy Anker one with 3 micro-LEDs for status works. On sale at $16, I was about to jump, but realized it leaves me with no power. Has anyone tried one of these USB-C to ethernet + power + [maybe somethign else] break out boxes that isn't closing in on $100 and gotten it to work? Most seem to come with at least one other port such as HDMI, which would be interesting if it worked but ignorable at the right price if it didn't.
1 comment says this works: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Aluminum-1-Gigabit-Compatible-ChromeBook/dp/B00ZZ6NW5E
https://www.amazon.com/LC-dolida-Adapter-Ethernet-Delivery-Charging/dp/B0794WTTLS .. if it works with the Pixel 2!... would be great to add charging. But somehow I doubt it works with the phone. Surely someone has tried this out there!
Thanks!
I do have an anker usb c hub with USB power delivery that works and gives me more usb c ports. Apart from that I also have a USB c to ethernet adapter from AliExpress and when I put that one in the anker one the phone does charge and have ethernet working
