Low Framerate with Modern Combat 5 - LG G7 ThinQ Questions & Answers

Are there any MC 5 players out there? How does it run for you in multiplayer? For me, when I'm facing one enemy, it's ok, but against a full squad of people, the frame rate is terrible.
Yes, I know that I can increase the framerate to 60fps in the settings, but it still runs terrible. Anyone else experiencing this? For me, this happens specifically with MC5.
Let me know. Thanks.

[Q] What 3D gaming performance should I be getting?

So, I seem to be getting really poor 3D performance out of my Galaxy Nexus, and would like to know if I should be worried.
Something like Shadowgun will fluctuate between running pretty smoothly (30-40 fps, I guess) and chopping noticeably (15-20 fps) on my phone, whereas other people report it running perfectly smoothly on their GNs. Even simpler 3D games like Wind-Up Knight or Cordy fail to run smoothly on my phone, constantly feeling a bit choppy and occasionally dropping to pretty bad framerates. A game that does run very smoothly is Minecraft, but it seems to be something of an exception.
What are your experiences? What version of Android are you running? I'm on 4.0.2 stock, and I'm trying to figure out if my issues have something to do with that (I've found some accounts of people claiming their performance dropped with the 4.0.2 update) or if my phone is actually not giving me the performance I should be getting.
I was playing Shadowgun last night and was amazed at how fast and smooth it was. No lag or stutter that I could notice, but I have no idea what fps I was pulling.
I'm running the latest GummyNex and Franco kernel. I highly recommend both.

Yeah, that doesn't sound at all like my experience. In the very first area of the game, the framerate was noticeably low on my phone, especially when looking out over the open area (it got a bit better when close to walls, etc.). And again, I'd like to find out if this difference is because I'm running 4.0.2 stock or if it's something else.
Could a certain GN unit really have significantly worse 3D performance than another without there being something seriously wrong with the GPU (which would probably show up in other ways as well, such as visual artifacts, etc.)? I seem to be getting similar scores to other non-overclocked GNs in benchmarks such as Antutu (yeah, I know they are not a good measure of performance, but I figured they could at least be useful when comparing the performance of different units of the same model).

Is there a way to fix poor gaming performance? Low fps

A few games I've been playing are laggy and give me much lower FPS than on my old Note 2. I chalk this up to the device rendering the game at 2k resolution, which is too much for this hardware. Is there anyway to run it at a lower resolution?
Thanks
Which games?

PUBGM Annoyinf Framedrops [Exynos]

Hey
I just wanted to know if am i the only one facing utter framedrops after every 2 sec even on smooth graphics and extreme fps?
Is there any fix for that or the game is not optimised?
I have also tried gfx tool but no luck. Even the Pubg from galaxy store is giving ridiculous framedrops and choppy gameplay.
I play all maxed without any frame drops on my s10e. Maybe messing with gltools isnt the best idea
@op Had the same issue when I tried playing pubg on my S10+ last month. Found out that turning off dolby atmos and using wired headphones instead of bluetooth buds helped reduce framedrops. But the gameplay wasn't smooth still! Thankfully after the latest S10+ firmware update (may) the game runs smooth on high settings without much heating even after 40 minutes of gaming. I'm not sure if the game was optimized for exynos S10 (received update from tencent too) or Samsung did something to improve it in the last update, butI have no issues playing pubg on my S10+ now!

Does Genshin Impact run smoothly for anyone else?

So this game seems to be blowing up all over the world and looks like something I'd enjoy. I downloaded it but the game was very laggy and I could not get it to run smoothly. I've run COD Mobile, GTA Vice City and Dead Cells on my A70 without any loss in framerate or or just graphically in general. I'm quite sure there isn't anything using up resources for the game.
So my question is: Does Genshin Impact run smoothly for anyone else? What settings do you run it at?
Cheers,
SDC
it runs decently on my phone about 30 fps when exploring and about 20 when in combat with medium settings, i still prefer playing on the PC because when the phone gets hot the fps drop really hard making it unplayable

Question Games unplayable due to thermal throttling stutters. Any fix?

Just trying to play Donkey Kong Country Returns on the Snapdragon 860 Xiaomi Pad and I notice fps drops on 1x and 4x. Try every setting, nothing changes. Even Gpu usage is only half.
Then I enabled fps counter and whenever it hits 30 C max it throttles to super low fps and doesn't go any bit higher. Explains the stutters I had in other Games.
30 C is nothing, feels like a scam, it runs like a low-end device.
Is there any fix? Any tutorial that works? With root or so? Just 35 C would be enough, It’s just 10 C here too. If not don’t buy Xiaomi for games, it’s not playable at all! It’s like a bad joke.
Over here the same problem and stuttering in fixed 60hz emulators

Sucks man, surprised no ones talking about this. The device is easily strong enough for 3DS and even some Switch games, but with this maybe it can't even do some older emulators smoothly, will do some more testing.
So here is the Video:
Flickering is due to the video recording only, but you can still see that it runs fine until the temp hits 30c, then it becomes very slow. You can see the graphic turn orange.
hopefully a developer can port a kernel of the xiaomi x3 pro that they share the same soc and all these problems can be solved, since I bought it for emulation and it does not work smooth as silk
I hope so! But I found a fix for this problem at least, you have to use Citra, not Citra MMJ, there seems to be a problem with that version. In normal Citra it runs at 60 fps at over 35 C but it still has some frame drops from time to time.

I have Poco X3 Pro... it does have thermal throttling also... but I managed to get rid of throttling by flashing a HAVOC OS custom rom...
MIUI is known for throttling SOCs...
I have the same problem when playing Hearthstone. Anyway to turn off thermal throttling completely ?
