If you want a Snapdragon with unlocked bootloader that you can root then get the SM-N9750/DS. Or keep your Exynos. Those are your only options if you want root. I'm surprised more people don't get the international Snapdragon, it's like they only think the Exynos exists.

People buy what's offered in their region...
If you get a unit that requires a warranty repair , out of region phones are not covered and it can be expensive and time consuming to get fixed..
Considering the expense already it comes with peace of mind to be able to get things RMA'ed easily.
I got my Note 10+ and literally the next day I had to get it fixed due the S-Pen not coming out. Got my phone back, had it for less than a day and had to return it due to the power button becoming defective too.
I know this is not really the norm but these things do happen and what took a few days to fix could have been weeks or months otherwise if purchased outside my region...
The Snapdragon is a superior chip and is more efficient so totally your call. Warranty might be and issue
Just enjoy the phone you have your talking minimal gains Vs a possible loss of RMA /warranty

Hi,
Just visited some samsung store in shanghai and I can tell you that in mainland china there are no sm-n9750, currently there are no 4g versions available of the note 10+. They only sell the 5g versions with the exact same characteristics as the sm-n9750/DS but with 5g support (thanks cpt obvious) with the following bands : N42 (2500), N78 (3500) and N79 (4500). the 5g versions is under the name sm-9760/DS. And it should also have the unlocked bootloader. Oh and it is sold the same price as the 4g version elsewhere and with google framework installed on it but deactivated until you connect to a network that don't block google..

Honestly there isn't a huge difference that you would notice. I have an exynos version here but I have a friend who bought the snapdragon version from the States. To be honest it seems the battery life is better on my exynos as he gets way less SOT on his phone and we both are medium to high users.
Firdt i bough ex version and sold after 5 days because of poor network signal . After 15 days i bough snap version and i dont have any problems with signal. For me its worth to change ex with sd. I have dual sim hk version

Thats is one reason to buy devices intended for use in your specific country, other major consideration is WARRANTY, I have claimed warranty in several ocasions, with devices obtained from my carrier, it is really difficult if not impossible when you buy a device from other country

That is true, but it also depends on where you buy it from - I have purchased many of my Exynos phones from Clove UK - and their customer support is fantastic. I had an issue when I bought the S9Plus - phone calls were dropping constantly - I tried everything to fix it and nothing worked - I sent back to Clove and they replaced it - pretty quick turn around - Now that happened within a week of when I bought it and I don't know what would have happened if I had a Warrenty issue after like six months or something - but I am just saying that some retailers will provide very good service and help with warranty repairs.

That is not true as the Snapdragon is definitely the superior chip. If you looknat the architecture of both then you will see that Snapdragon would have better battery life and performance.
Your friend might be using the Snapdragon and getting less battery life as you two don't have exactly the same usage. If you used his phone the same way you use your own phone then you will see that Snapdragon will get better battery life.
When signal is weak snap performs better,im in europe and by default ex is for our country but snap is superior chip,better reception,better battery better perfomance overall
I have the exynos version and i'm getting 5+/- on screen time, while my brother has the snapdragon and he is getting 7 hours, i'm really pissed...

So here's where i am confused. I can looked up and found that these are the LTE bands for Verizon note 4 ,Network: LTE Band 13/4 (700/1700 MHz), CDMA/1xEVDO Rev. A (800/1900 MHz);
While dubai requires 1800/2600Mhz; for 4G.
ATT note 4 supports these bands while Verizon doesn't. and i cant buy ATT note 4 since it wont work wit Verizon
Whats the Solution ?
Will unlocking the phone open up all the bands ? 2g/3g works fine im just concerning with 4G overseas

Can i use that with verizon when im in the states ?
I'm not sure but I don't think so. I think Verizon sells a SIM card for their USA phones to be used abroad.

So Is there a current Note 7 besides the AT&T model that has LTE BAND 30 compatibility? I know with the S7 Edge the U model (Unklocked Model) you can get at Best Buy has the compatibility, but when I look at the Note 7s available right now only the AT&T model has it. Is that correct?
I am looking to get a model that has LTE BAND 30 that is NOT the AT&T model.

With the release of s7 edge at best buy, I am confident they will be releasing a note 7 as well...hopefully anyway. Just have to wait it out!

yeah right now it looks like only the AT&T model supports band 30. Good new is that the Unlocked S7 edge that is being sold at BestBuy support Band 30, so i would assume when the same model comes out for the note the same will be true.
I use it on AT&T, but if I buy the AT&T phone I can't use Wifi Hotspot because I have the old school unlimited data plan, but I learned if I buy the Unlocked version of the phone Hot Spit works great and AT&T can't block it.
It looks like the 930-F also supports Band 30 (scroll down to the Specs tab).
Here's all the models that support Band 30 for the Note 7 according to this site.

Just a heads up though I would go through each model individually to be sure, sometimes they don't list a certain phone on the compatibility page even though it supports the band you're looking for.
Huh. That's pretty weird. The frequencycheck list of bands for the 930F is quite different from the list on the B&H specs sheet. B&H is usually pretty trustworthy, but I've got no other evidence of which one might be wrong.

I am upgrading to the Note 8 and I was hoping to give my Note 5 (that I own outright) to my girlfriend who is on AT&T. I tested it out and configured the APN properly and I think all is well. There is some wonkiness is maintaining the LTE connection, though. I looked into it and it looks like there is a difference between the two models as far as the bands go.

Right. AT&T uses bands 2,4,5,17 with 17 being the main LTE band. I had the same situation with my Verizon variant (just switched to AT&T prepaid, yay save money, rip wifi calling) and I want the main band 17 for times when I travel back home from college, so I can have coverage. The main thing is that if you're noticing LTE issues now, it's not going to get better unless you get a phone that supports band 17. I just happened to have an iphone 6 plus laying around that I threw my SIM into temporarily and I've noticed better coverage because it supports all the bands.
TL;DR It will work, it just won't be optimal since you're missing the main LTE band. Get a phone that supports bands 2,4,5,17 if you want optimal performance. And depending on where you are and how your coverage is, you might need it in order for your service to be satisfactory.

I know that the S8 was missing band 30 for ATT. Besides that, what would I miss by getting an international version over the US unlocked one?
If Clove is to be believed, the Exynos S9 this year is missing even more bands than the S8 of last year. It is missing band 12 for T-Mobile, for example, while last year's had it. There's some conflicting information depending on models (dual sim or single sim SM-G960F), but here is what I see:

Well that is certainly more promising than what I found on the Clove listing, and certain SM-G96XF on eBay list the same frequencies. Great news! I think I'll get one and try it out on T-Mobile

I am shopping for a Note 10+ 512gb to be used on T-Mobile network while in US. It appears none of the US carrier or unlocked Note 10+ come with dual sim. So my only option is to get Hong Kong version.
1. Does anyone know if Hong Kong version has all the radio frequency needed for T-Mobile? Below is what I copied from online spec.
2. Does Note 10+'s dual sim work the same way as iPhone XS Max? Which both sim are on standby for call and text, you can select one of them for data in setting?
3. If I remember correctly, Note 8 dual sim can have one sim on 3g while the other one on LTE. Is this still the case or its limited to 2g only? Thank!

Just get a device intended for use in your country, in xda there are tons of posts from people doing as you want and with bad luck end having some troubles, the worst one beeing no way to claim warranty, but that is just my opinion...
To answer my own question and for those who are interested. Note 10+ Hong Kong Dual Sim version is missing LTE band 66 and 71 that T-Mobile USA uses. 66 is usually used in stadium and arenas to ease congestion, where 71 covers some rural areas for extended reach. You will be fine with the HK version if you are using the devices mainly in metropolitan area. But since HK version also lack many other bands that US unlocked version offers, some of them maybe used by Sprint (which I don’t have time to research). It means you may not be benefiting from improved coverage if T-Mobile and Sprint join together.
It looks like US unlocked version has the most comprehensive band coverage among all models, domestic and international. If I am not wrong, it has every band available in Note 10+ lineup. For those who doesn’t need dual sim, US unlocked version is the best choice as far as network compatibility wise.
I'm using the N9750 on T-Mobile. Dual SIM works and both SIMS are 4G simultaneously. I have no issues with service. WiFi and VOLTE work. I know T-Mobile uses bands 66 and 71 in some areas but it really doesn't make a difference where I live.
